Hi,
I am Sharad Sharma (cell no [protected]). I booked 3 tickets for 'Gangs of Wasseypur-2' using BookMyShow.com for Spice cinema, Noida, for 4:00PM show for date 15th Aug 2012 using my citibank credit card
After selecting seats and entering my credit card details, bookmyshow website displayed some message like 'processing...' and after some time, it displayed, 'oops, an error occurred'.
But an amount of Rs 633.72 was debited from my credit card. This transaction was done at around 1:22PM on 15th Aug 2012.
I waited for around 20-25 minutes, but i didn't receive any sms or e-mail from book my show for confirmation of tickets but i did receive sms from citibank for deduction of money.
Now, After 25 minutes .i.e. at around 1:49PM (15th Aug), i again tried to book some other 3 tickets and i received sms and mail from book my show this time.
So, basically money for my 1st transaction should be refunded bookmyshow as it didn't handle the transaction properly and deducted amount without booking the seats.
I contacted the customer care on same day and they asked me to send an e-mail to [protected]@bookmyshow.com. So, i formally sent email to them for which i received reply stating 'they will get back to me after investigation' and gave me Incident No:[protected]. but after that i have not received any response whatsoever from there side in last 30 days or so.
I have sent them e-mails repeatedly but there is no response/reply. I contacted there on-line customer care executives also but they also just say that we will contact you as soon as possible but then there is no reply/respose.
SO BOOKMYSHOW has not only taken my money of amount Rs 633.72/- but they have caused me mental tensions as well. Just imagine how much problems they have caused me for ignoring me and for not replying.
I request a refund of Rs 633.72/- from bookmyshow and would also request Consumer court to impose some heavy fine on bookmyshow for playing not only with people's money but also for not giving due attention to there customer even when they took all money in advance.
I don't want any extra money, i just want my Rs 633.72/- but i want bookmyshow should be taught a lesson so that they dont do same thing with other citizens of India and so that they can always remember that someone is there who is watching there wrong ways of working.
