Dear Sir/Madam,

I bought IPL tickets for match in Delhi more than 2 weeks prior to the match with home delivery option. I was expecting the tickets would reach on time. After a week’s time, when I noticed that I have not received the tickets, I started following up with customer care. It was shocking to note that there was no response at all from them. After 3 reminders (just 3days before the match), they mentioned that tickets have been dispatched and also provided tracking number.
Now the fraud began, according to courier company, the person visited my place thrice but house was locked. I was shocked to note that all the 3 timings specified by the courier company, I was personally available at home. Also in general someone is always available at home. And according to bookmyshow as no one was available, tickets have been returned.

I have asked following questions from bookmyshow which they fail to answer
1. Why didn’t courier company called me up, even if this was the case. They had my complete details
2. Why were the tickets dispatched only 2 days before the match.
3. Obviously, I did mention that it’s not possible that house was locked as I was available.


Even after writing more than a dozen email & calling customer care multiple times, even talking to live help, I am neither able to get the tickets nor a refund.

    I had booked tickets for an IPL match in Pune through BookMyShow online as there were no other Retail outlets available for the PWI tikcets. I had booked 8 tickets in one shot around 20 days before the match.

    Date : Tue, 27 Mar, 2012 Time Stamp : 5:43pm

    They had charged the delivery charges as well as convenience charges. However in the name of convenience I had to collect the tickets just a day before the match from their Deccan Gymkhana office in person. Hence no delivery, and no support infact arrogance that "Its your ticket, either you collect it or leave it".

    So everyone beware of booking many tickets at the same time. They have done this to many. They profit on the convenience charges and finally its the biggest inconvenience.

    I had purchased tickets from bookmyshow on 22 dec. The tickets were not delivered but money was deducted.

    I have called them up and even after giving bank statements they are still refusing.

    I would like to bring to your notice a very insulting incident yesterday i.e May30th 2009.

    I booked my 4 tickets for Jackie Chan's Movie Police Story-V in Hindi, on bookmyshow, for BIG Cinemas RAP-Kaushambi, Pacific Mall, Plot No 1, Dr Burman Road, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad-201010. And I was given the tickets for Hai Kya Dum (which I though probably is the Hindi name of the same movie) but to my utter disbelief the movie was some third class dubbed Thai action movie. I had taken my guests in front of whom I was humiliated for no reason. I also checked with the staff at big cinema and they informed that there was no such movie as police story being run here so far.

    My Booking Id: ADRP[protected] & ADRP[protected]. I would like you to check and take action against this kind of a fraud. I am planning to take this one step further..and its not matter of money but unfair business practices that enrages me more.I think such fraudulent and cheating companies should shut their shop rather than cheating innocent customers

      Never book tickets from BOOKMYSHOW this is no.1 Fraud company.
      1.They collect money for home dilevary but they not dispatching any tickets.
      2.When u call for ticket states they will say u will gate tickets on XYZ DATE.
      3.No.1 poor customer care when u inquire about tickets on XYZ DATE they will say there is no service area u can collect from counter.
      In this process u will loose ur mobile balance for contacting customer care but problem is not resolve.

      This is happened with me i lost more than 200 rupees for contacting customer care,but still i am waiting for tickets.

      FRAUDDDDDDDDDD company BOOKMYSHOW......

        I booked 4 IPL tickets worth Rs. 2662.36 on 4the April 2012, thee amount was deducted but thee transaction failed.
        It has already been 19 days and i have not received thee refund till date.
        I am calling thee bookmyshow customer support number continuously but no reply or call back from theeir side.
        I even sent a mail on bookmyshow support email, but still thee issue has not been resolved.

          Booked IPL tickets for PWI Vs. CSK match 14th April 2012. Till date the tickets have not been delivered after having collected the delivery charges for the tickets. Booking Ref no. IPPW[protected]. There is no information on Book my Show website, not intimation by sms or email about the tickets, in the Track Delivery option of the site it shows "Marked for Delivery".

          The customer support no. does not work and there is no way of contacting Book My Show. I manage to get some no, and call them to learn to my horror that I will have to go from Mumbai to Pune and collect my tickets personally from Deccan Gymkhana. Can you believe this, I live in Mumbai and have to go past the stadium on the express way and drive an additional 60 kms. to get my tickets for the match after having paid for the Delivery charges.

          Please, Please, Please someone in this country should teach such cheats a lesson not to collect payments if they cannot deliver. They make very tall claims and just fail to deliver. This is ridiculous and unacceptable.

          Please someone do something.

            Hi,

            I have bought 4 IPL tickets for the date 14 april12, 3 weeks ago, costing 4000Rs. The agent has failed to deliver the tickets till today (13 April12).
            The customer care number doesnot get connected.
            The agent now says that he doesnot have any tickets with him.

            Just 1 day to go for the match and there si no point of contact.

            Arent they supposed to call and deliver the tickets for which I have already paid.

              i had book tickets with the book my show compnay on 1 st april 2012 through my credit card.

              from that date they are not giving me proper answer and now 2 days are left to match and still they are refusing to give me tickets. when i ask them have u send the tickets. they are saying that you will get tickets tomorow from last 3 days. but not providing the pod number. on insisting to give details they are disconect the call and chat.

              Same problem I am facing. I had booked ipl tkts on 3Rd April and still not got my tkts. Only 2 days left and they keep telling you will receive it shortly. But when? After the match is over? I spent 3000 Rs for the same which is not a small amt.Worst customer service.

                Hi,

                I have booked two tickets on 28-Apr-2012 for IPL-2012 of 6th April match (Mumbai Indians vs Pune Warriors),Which was of Sachin Tendulkar Stand (Level -2,Block P) Seat No 253 and 254,(booking ID - IPMW[protected]) but i have recieved only one ticket which was 254.

                I have logged a complaint on 2-Apr-2012,Having Complaint Reference Number :[protected].


                They have keep on promissing me of revert call back,But i have not received a single call with the status of my ticket.

                I have to chase them everyday,Still they were asking for more time everyday.

                I have talked to Mr.Nelson(Team Lead) who promissed me of a call on 5-Apr-2012 lately by 5:00PM(Which was our travel date) but asusal i have not received any call again.

                On 5-Apr-2012 i had to call back and chase down Mr.Nelson and he updated us that he needs more time,even if he was aware of our iternary was on the same day from ahmedabad to mumbai for the match.

                He asked us to call back in two hours,Which was not acceptable as we had past experineces with the same firm.

                In few hours we have a train to catch to Mumbai for the match and still we dont have clear picture of our missing ticket.

                We have experinece so much of harasment for the ticket which was legally mine.


                We need some strict actions against the same.

                  I have booked ticket from boookmy show website and along with that I have booked small combo as well , It was confirmed rom book my show and amt was taken from my credit card , But when I reached the Fun Cinema , I got the ticket but they refuse that there is no combo booked in my name , I send a mail to bookmy show on 25/12/2011 for the same , They reverted me back saying they will check the issue , but its been 15 day , niether the mat has been refunded to my a/c , nor I recieved any confirmation from book my show , please help me is thus

                    I have movie money voucher which can be used in www.bookmyshow.com. The cluase is that the voucher has to be used 2 days in advance for booking. But in the website only the current day's and the next day's date will be open thereby which I am not able to use the voucher. It also has a clause that the validity is only for 60 days and in a month only twice can it be used. My one month offer is already gone because of this dates not opening and I can use it only for this month and then it will get expired. I was able to use the voucher only once and everytime I spoke to the customer care they spoke to me as if I am a fool. Maily 3 customer service officers (Shehnaz, Anish and Aqib).
                    It feels like they consider customers as fools. PLease request you to action on this issue so that this will not happen again to anyone.

                      I have faced a problem recently while using my Citibank debit card for booking the tickets at book my show.com.I was doing online booking of movie tickets at Bookmyshow.com on 29-dec-2011 for DON2,5:05PM show,in DT SAketThe show was due for 1 jan,2012.The tickets were not booked but the amount got deducted from my account.

                        I was booking my ticket online through Book my show on Friday ( 23nd Dec ) Morning. That time on internet site in booking today option was not avaiable rather it was tomorrow onwards hence I booked by ticket for tomorrow i.e. 24th night show at Sangam Big Cinema at Andheri and I got my booking conformation SMS, Since I have been using Book my show from last 3.6 years so I didn't even check the SMS and assumed that Booking is confirmed and amount was debited from my credit card. On 24th Night when I actually went at Sangam Big Cinema at Andheri then I came to know that my booking was done for 23rd dec , however I also ignored the Booking confirmation SMS whenere in date was mentioned as 23rd only but I booked the ticket for 24th only. My booking ID was BISM[protected] SHOW TIME-9:45PM.

                        What should be the solution of this issue, please help.

                              The most unprofessional people i have seen. Not ready to help at all. all you can hear from them is sorry the offer is closed.
                              I tried to book tickets for the weekend, and used the visa blockbuster weekend offer. I used 2 different cards for the transaction and both the times the transaction failed. when i called up the bookmyshow people, they said due to a technical issue from OUR side, the transaction could not go through and told me to wait for 30 minutes to get the card unlocked. when i tried again, they say the offer tickets have been exhausted. when i called them again to say this, their reply being, sorry due to a technical issue from your side, the transaction didnt go through and we cannot do anything now, whereas my internet connection has been working fine. the mobile number i used for the booking being [protected]. i would suggest all not to use such services from a crappy website but rather go book the tickets at the theatre or online from some other better site. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. Ohh and when i said i would forward the complaint to the consumer forum, they said, no comments, go ahead! it seems something has got on to their head!

We started out booking 4 tickets of Rs 500, with the Visa 1 free on 1 ticket booked.                                 I booked 2 tickets from BOOK MY SHOW. for 1st september screening of THAT GIRL IN YELLOW BOOTS. i paid 250 for each ticket.
                                The show got cancelled. I was informed it will take 10 days to refund my money. I called them after 10 days I am not getting any respnse from them. Kindly please look into matter.

                                  I am sorry to say but i have made a mistake by booking movie ticket through Bookmyshow. I thought Bookmyshow has made it convenient to book movie tickets for people. But my experience was very bad with Bookmyshow.
                                  I booked two tickets of movie "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" @ DT Star Mall: Sector 30, National Capital Region, Gurgaon on 6th Aug,2011.
                                  I got the confirmation message on my number ([protected]) with following details :
                                  Booking ID : DTSG[protected]
                                  Seats: Gold S10, S11
                                  DT Star mall, Sector 30 (Screen 2) @ 10.40 pm

                                  But after a few minutes, i got another message from Bookmyshow as below:
                                  We are sorry that your payment for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara at DT Star Mall: Sector 30 ( Screen 2) failed. Pls try again later or call 39895050 to book your tickets.

                                  I dialed the above mentioned number but got no response.
                                  I relied on BOOKMYSHOW and didn't go for movie after your sorry message.
                                  But when I checked my account, the payment of Rs 333.10 was debited from my account for BOOKMYSHOW.
                                  I waited for few days that I will get refund from your side but i am sorry to say BOOK MY SHOW cheated me.

                                  I am not bothered about the payment but what about the trust i had with BOOKMYSHOW.
                                  You have made a breach of my trust and i am very disheartened.

                                  SORRY TO GET ASSOCIATED WITH BOOKMYSHOW.

                                  There were 2 transactions attempted wherein 1 has been a successful against the booking ID: DTSG[protected] and another has been an unsuccessful. However, the booking confirmation email/sms for the above mentioned successful booking id was sent across to you. Also as per your concern of having received an error notification email, we would like to inform you that the system does send email/sms and notifies in case of having any issues at that point of time. Similarly, in your case the system had sent an email notifying the error for your initial unsuccessful transaction attempt dated: 6 Aug 2011 6:45 PM. Our customer care team has got in touch with you regarding the query and explained to you in detail. Hope your query is answered to your satisfaction.

                                    Hi,
                                    This is with regards to the most pathetic customer service experience I received ttoday from the call center of Bookmy show.com.The agent's name was Shruti Devadiga.
                                    I had called them regarding a movie booking the charge for which was debited from my card however, the transaction had failed.
                                    My 1st call- Agent Shruti Devadiga.....My husband spoke to her and advice her of the situation and she hsked us to try the transaction again after 30 mins..
                                    My 2nd call- (The worst experience) Agent Shruti Devadiga. again...Afeter following all the instructions given by Shruti ..we wanted to speak to her superviosr to register a complain,since I was unable to avail an offer..Shruti bluntly refused stating that her supervisor was busy.What took us by surprise was that she did not even place me on hold ..and just refused..I asked her more than 5 times but got the same reply...she wa very adamant and said her supervisor would share the same info hence she was not able to transfer the call..I ensured that i stayed online for more than 30 mins and this agent was so adamant that she just did not want me to speak to her supervisor..Is this the customer service to be received from a call center..she was extremely rude ...to add to that she disconnected the call leaving my query unresolved.
                                    I am not concerned about the charge on my account..but the service that I received today was horrible....
                                    The calls recorded should be heard...and I am sure you will understand what an experience I had ..
