I am writing to raise a complaint regarding my recent booking (ID: [protected]) for a stay at Townhouse 040 Global Village Tech Park on September 28, 2024.
Upon arrival at the property after a long and exhausting journey, I was informed by the receptionist that all rooms were fully booked and that they could not accommodate my reservation, despite the confirmation I received from Agoda. This situation was particularly distressing, as I had relied on the "Pay at Hotel" option, believing it would guarantee my booking.
The receptionist suggested I file a complaint with customer care, which was of little help at the moment. With all my luggage in tow, I was forced to search for alternative accommodations in Bangalore. After considerable time and effort, I finally checked into another hotel at around 8:30 PM, paying approximately ₹6000 for that same night. This was not only an unexpected expense but also a significant disruption to my travel plans.
I find it unacceptable that Agoda offered a "Pay at Hotel" option without clearly communicating the risks involved. I would like to understand why I was not informed that payment was necessary to secure my booking, and why this critical information was not provided beforehand.
Given the circumstances, I am requesting proper compensation for the additional costs incurred and the inconvenience caused. I believe this situation warrants a thorough review and a response to ensure that future customers do not face similar issues.

I Booked A Hotel Through Agoda On 22nd Of December 2023 For Two Days(24-26 Dec 2023) With Booking ID [protected]. I Paid 13, 467 Rupees For The Same. After Few Days I Got Notified By My Bank That The Transaction Has Been Converted Into 24 Months Of EMIs. I Was Shocked As I Never Requested For It In The First Place. According My Credit Card Company, I Will Be Liable To Pay Additional 2200 Rupees Of Interest Plus 119 Rupees As Processing Fee For The Same In 24 Months . When I Raised The Concern With My CC Company, They Informed That The Request For EMI Conversion Was Made From The Merchant's End(Agoda Company). When I Confronted Agoda On This, First They Kept Delaying The Response And When They Reverted Back After 2 Weeks, They Informed Me That The Emi Request Was Made From My End But Failed To Provide Any Proof For The Same. I Informed That I Never Requested For It And It Does Not Even Make Sense To Convert A Transaction Of 13, 467 Rupees To 24 Months Of EMI That Too Paying 2500 Rupees Additionally. If I Can Afford To Pay 13467 For 2 Nights, I Can Definitely Pay It One Time And There Was No Need To Convert It Into EMI And That Too For 24 Months. Agoda Then Requested Me To Speak To CC Company And Request For Foreclosure. I Did The Same But I Was Informed That I Will Be Required To Pay 3% Foreclosure Charges And Additional Gst Charges On The Principal Amount. When I Communicated The Same To Agoda, They Refused To Pay The Foreclosure Charges And For This Reason I Am Not Able To Close My Credit Card EMIs. I Need Help With This.

I got hotel booking confimation from the agoda.
when I reached hotel for check-in. Hotel refused to give me room stating that they never accepted any booking.
I had to search for another hotel at midnight with family and paied hefty amount for this.
when I have contacted the agoda support and expain this. they put my call on hold and tried to contact the hotel owner and reverted back that they are not able to contact hotel fellow.

Hi there,
I booked a hotel in Pondicherry through agoda site in November month booking id: [protected], they took the total amount at the booking time and sent me a booking success confirmation message.
But now they are saying the booking is rejected by hotel, it's too late to notify me. I booked flight tickets for the whole family based on agoda hotel booking confirmation. Now all my flight tickets will be wasted.
I made a booking a month ago, it's unfair to reject a booking after a month and they kept my money for one month. It's cheating to give fake booking confirmation.
They are offering me agoda cash it is not useful to me. In November month hotel room prices were less now the hotel room prices are huge.

I request you to remove this property listing from AGODA website.
I will raise a customer forum complaint against Agoda and OYO now. I was stuck midday with luggage on middle of the road. I had to search other hotel at that time. I had to incur huge expense due to this horrible mistake of yours.

Hello,
I made a hotel booking on Agoda on August 15. On 23rd Of October, with over 2 months of time left for the actual date, I tried to cancel the booking.
I called up the hotel and they said as the booking was made on the website, I need to cancel there. On the website, I am trying to cancel and the penalty is greater than the booking price. There is 2 months to go and the hotel can get the rooms booked in time.
My complain is how can a website make a room cancellation non-refundable when there is ample time left.
This website does not have a customer care number where I can reach. Plans change and people should be able to alter it especially when there is over 2 months left.

Very unprofessional and no amenities hotel
I have booked the hotel between 8th to 10th sep and it was three star hotel (HOTEL SAPPHIRE By FAIR HOSPITALITY)mentioned on Agoda.
We reached to hotel by 3 pm, asked for towel they sent by 9 pm in night.started tv, light gone, again started tv, setup box start noising aloud, called for support took two hours with 4 staff again and again new person came and check the device. Says tv is faulty then other came and saying setupbox is faulty and then third came and says it is working now.
Started ac, not working
In morning we started hot water for bath, no hot water, asked staff says hot water will come now.
After half an hour again complaint, staff say no hot water available as we don't have geyser only solar panel is there and we have to wait till sun will boil the water.
It is really very bad situation for me with family and kid. They have charges more than 10k from us for this pathetic service. I want my complete return and to remove the hotel from Agoda website.

I have booked YOO Stack hotel using Agoda App. The checked in date is today I.e. 7th August and Check out is on 12th August. The booking Id is. [protected].
Today I tried to find the hotel on the location that is shared in booking but I couldn't find. The hotel is not present on that location. When I reached the hotel they refused to live with this booking in hotel and they asked me to pay Rs 1200 for room, the booking and hotel management tell me that your booking is not valid we closed our deal with Agoda.com, till now they didn't refund my amount

Didnt get claimed cashback
I booked a stay with agoda on jan 19, 2023. They were claiming a cashback on that purchase ($50.36) after 60 days from checkout. As per this, i requested for the cashback after 60 days from checkout, but they are not responding nor updating status on this. I tried to contact their customer service several times, but they are not responding after made me wait for hours.

I had booked for hotel through Agoda.com on 28-Dec-2022.As there was problem in getting the payments done the booking got cancelled automatically….when I contact Agoda customer they said to drop mail with evidence.After verification I received mail from Agoda on 27-feb-2023 stating refund confirmed and it will be credited within 15 business days.I have not received payment yet..I dropped mail twice but there was no reply from Agoda.

Money deducted twice for one booking, requesting refund

I have booked an Executive Suite hotel room in the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel for 2 Nights i.e. from 31 March 2023 to 02 April 2023
I paid the amount 12, 770/- on 24 March 2023
But the amount of 12, 770/- deducted twice form my STATE BANK OF INDIA

i.e. A total of 25, 540/- is deducted from my bank account for that single payment

Fraudulent charging of a deposit

Hi, Agoda runs a price freeze policy, in which you can freeze the price of a stay for a certain number of days, given the room is still available. I froze the price for a room at 5000 INR. I had 2 bookings to make, for which i used the price freeze option for one and made a direct booking for second. When I was booking the second room, nowhere in my billing did it show my deposit was being used. Also the deposit can only be used through the link they provide by email or through the specific link provided in your booking profile. So when I made the second booking, the bill generated did not display my deposit was used and so when I went ahead and used the specific link to actually use the price freeze to book my room, with the deposit, i found out they had used my deposit for the second booking, which i did not land up doing altogether because of their fault Later i can see that they have generated 2 different bills altogether, one bill that i received while making the booking, does not even show that they have added my deposit and the bill on my account shows that they have. How can a bill with the same booking id have 2 different itemizations. Agoda maybe running a fraud.

Recently we had booked four multiple day stays at Delhi for a expo. As per India GST act and rules, no gst registered entity can deny for providing gstin tax invoice specifying customer gstin no. Agoda is providing only the payment receipt, which is of no use to me, since the same cannot be used for taking gst credit. The hotels associated with agoda says, the agoda will provide the invoice. That may b the case of tax evasion. How can they...

Automatically debited money against hotel booking
Hi Agoda Team,
I'm surprise to see your mail about hows my visit while I never give my consent to deduct payment against the booking, if I have not made payment then booking should be automatically cancelled .
But your backend team deducted my money without my consent against the booking plan while I have not confirmed and moreever there is no pre or after information for such deducted money from your endend and booking has been done so that i could plan my journey accordingly.
And my question why we deducted money in December end i.e. 29th while my booking plan was in 2nd week of October why we have not deducted in October month or in November month so that i could get alert and will cancel at my end which if I missed such booking mail in October itself.
So requesting you to reverse my money on immediate basis with cross check with Hotel which I have not visited or stay over there coz I was not aware at all.
Rs.45624/- money deducted for Hotel Booking which you need to get reverse in my account on urgent basis.
I have visited today at your below Gurgaon registered office address which got to know the address from google and found that there is no office at all:

I'm writing this email to express my disappointment with the service that Agoda is providing. I booked my flight yesterday with PRN BIL9HE, and I immediatelAgoda called Agoda's customer care service to change the date for my flight. The customer service didn't help me and told me to contact the airline in which I booked to make to modify the flight booking after the call with Agoda customer care I called up the airline, and they told me that I booked my flight through a travel agent which is Agoda hence they cannot make the respective changes in the booking however Agoda was allowed to modify the booking being my travel agent. After which, I get back to Agoda again and they told me to wait as they will confirm the price that will take to change the booking. The ticket is booked for the day after tomorrow and I immediately asked Agoda to alter my booking without any further delay but they are making me wait and causing delay in the modification of the flight booking which is not my fault. As time is passing and so is the day, I am to be charged more penalty fees and a higher flight difference rate while until yesterday I was getting no flight difference rate because it was the same price now, the delay is not because of me it's because of Agoda so why should I pay the penalty and flight different fee which is not my fault? Agoda's service is so slow. if Agoda is my travel agent they need to solve my problem ASAP without causing more penalty free and delay to me as it was an urgent request. if I were to travel tomorrow and change my flight dates is taking soo long it is causing so much inconvenience and worry to me and my plan because of Agoda's services why will I ever book from Agoda? I can always use other travel agents who can be faster and better. Agoda is not at all helping. instead, their customer care service provider is cutting the call on me while I'm filing the complaint and they are disrespectful and rude.
The cause of the delay is not me and hence the higher penalty rates and flight difference rates are not supposed to be paid by me. Please waive the charges for me because if I had not booked from Agoda I would have made my booking changes immediately within 5 minutes, or any other travel agent helps resolve the issue within 30-45 min. but Agoda's service is so bad and causing me to pay so much.
I would appreciate your response and fair justice.

I'm writing this email to express my disappointment with the service that Agoda is providing. I booked my flight yesterday with PRN BIL9HE, and I immediatelAgoda called Agoda's customer care service to change the date for my flight. The customer service didn't help me and told me to contact the airline in which I booked to make to modify the flight booking after the call with Agoda customer care I called up the airline, and they told me that I booked my flight through a travel agent which is Agoda hence they cannot make the respective changes in the booking however Agoda was allowed to modify the booking being my travel agent. After which, I get back to Agoda again and they told me to wait as they will confirm the price that will take to change the booking. Hotel Cancelled still not received back money
I booked hotel pricing 34493/- when contacted owner he said it is already booked. So i cancelled it from Agoda. Still havet received money back. Please help
