HSBC Credit Card — No Bills from 1 year - Harrasing by mails and phone calls

Hi,

I am holding two HSBC credit cards for one card which I received the bills and settled the amounts completely. For another card they didn't send the bill from past 1 year and now they accumulated the interests and service charges and every thing and made a big amount. One month back they sent me a mail asking to make payment before 12hrs or they will file a case against me for which I replied back asking how much is the amount and its ridiculous to give 12hrs without sending bill for 9 months. I didn't get any reply for the mail which I sent. I got the call from HSBC after one month of mail been sent and the first sentence they told me is " Do u want to pay the amount outside or inside the court?" without intimating what and details. I told you people didn't send the bill and accumulated the amount. I will pay the amount I used and little more. They asked me to pay 7800. I told I pay 7000 as I used only 6000 if okay come and collect money immediately they told we will get back to you. But for three days I didnt receive any call from them and suddenly called "Shyama roa " some body sent a mail saying they will cancel my visa and passport and give non bailable warrant even after I informed I will pay 7000 if they provide me the closure letter and the bills provided to me. They keep on harrasing saying my visa and passport will get cancelled and asking same question again and again after agreeing for paying 7000 which is little bit more than what I used. If I want to fraud I could have done for both the cards not for one card.I attached the email proof for which they didn't reply. I also have the recorded call between me and them which they said to pay 7800 and agian sent mail by lawer saying bigger amount. Please save me from bank harrasment.

Thanks
Priya

Credit Card — Wrong charges and connivance of facts

I used Barclays Bank credit card...2702 for a purchase worth of Rs.92, 523 in June 2008. I subsequently paid Rs. 70, 000 on 2nd July 2008 and balance Rs. 22, 000 on 6th jLY 2008. Barclays charged me Rs.3461 as late payment and other charges. I requested Barclays to reverse the charges. Barclays sent me a mail on 20th August 2008 that my request has been granted and they are reversing those Rs.3461 which will be reflected in next month's statement. Barclays NEVER ACTED ON THIS. They did not reverse charges in spite of my repeated requests. They went on charging me accumulated amounts. They delieberately ignored fault on thier part of non reversal. After a head breaking excercise of several months ultiamtely they told me that they have reversed the charges and now i need to pay Rs. 7, 000+. I aksed them to reverse all penaltative charges as they did not act for months and for that i cant be subjected to payment. It was never a deliberate attempt on my part not to pay. They are conspicuosly not listening to this and simply harp on same thing that i need to pay Rs. 7000+ and each month this amount gets accumulated.I told them they are delaying the matter, not understanding either by incapacity or delieberately the two facts of their earlier promise of non reversal and that they cant penalise me for something which they did not act. That they cannot benefit from their own action.

On the other hand Barclays thru its collecting agencies chase me for payment as if i have used up thier amount and not paying. I have been telling both to agencies and Barclays that i have already referred the matter to the bank till this is resolved you will not chase me. However, even this also they are not listening. They intrude on my personal times and disturb at home and office and on holidays and odd times.

Barclays doesnt have a registered office or a proper address printed on its card statement or website. Its only PO Box number and call centre numbers. My request to put me in contact with senior executives of the bank and escalate the issue is not even replied by the bank.
The deliberate chaos has resulted into serious harrasment to me and they are after me to cough up money from me conspicuously ignoring failure of a promised action on thier part.

Mayi request to look into this please?

HSBC Credit Card — Billing issues

I have a HSBC credit card, which I was using from last two years.
Last month I got a statement stating that total amount to paid is Rs 1800 & also it mentioned a late fee of Rs Rs 400.but actually my purchase was only 1400.when I called customer care centre they said that I didn’t paid 0.28 paisa in last month so for that I need to pay Rs 400 as late fee. I was shocked, when I shouted, executive told me no need to pay Rs 400.after her confirmation I had paid Rs 1400 last month. I had paid bill amount one day late. This month again I got statement stating that my bill for this month is 986, but I didn’t did any transaction. When I checked with customer care I found all charges for late fee for one day including late fee for 400(0.28 paisa).
Can anyone help on this issue, I really shocked & disappointed by HSBC service.

Regards
Prashanth

HSBC Credit Card — Awful Phone Service.

I've been holding HSBC Credit Cards (3Nos) & also have a Banking Account with HSBC for the last 10yrs, but its really a disappointment to note that the service level of HSBC has really been getting degraded. I spoke to the phone banking office Ms.Salma Mirza today with regards to Lfee & Finance charges on my card, since I've always paid in full & paid on time, but instead of expecting any help or assistance from her, she was rude & trying to advise me on my issues. Besides this whenever I request to speak to Supervisor unfortunately none of your Supervisors are available, as it happened this time that Salma refused to transfer me any of your Supervisors, since she said that all Supervisors are busy in a meeting & none of them are available to attend any Customers. I checked with her that HSBC Supervisors give more importance to their meetings rather than their Customers & she just refused to say anything further, instead suggested me to give a call back incase if I need to the Supervisor.

I know for HSBC it would be just another complaint for HSBC & may not at be important to you, but I've been banking with HSBC for almost 10yrs & thought of sharing my most disappointment interaction with HSBC. I assure you that within a week I would go ahead & cancel all my three credit cards & also close my two savings account with HSBC, Luckily I've some other good banks with good service & great offers at the right time. Suggest you to please go ahead & get some good service lessons from some of the other good international banks.
