India Today Book Club — non receipt of book and promised gifts

In response to the offer to purchse complete history of the world by richard overy (The letter posted from faridabad on[protected] i had sent a cheque for rs.2199/- as desired. The cheque was encashed on[protected]Cheque no.543913) but i am yet to receive the book and the promised gift of 8 other books kindly look in to the matter and send at an early date

India Today Book Club — non receipt of gift item

I purchased one mobile handset of samsung make model samsung marine (B 2100) vide invoice no. Orao90065122 dt:31.08.2009 of india today book club under emi scheme vide icici bank credit card. I was offered free holiday package no. Itbc6288 and return air ticket for couple no. It 17250 and diamond voucher no. Ib[protected].
I had registered online for the same and i had send back the booking request form received from their bangalore office at premier sales promotions pvt. Ltd. P. O. Box no.5042 bangalore-560001, duly filled in twice. But till date i have not receive any response from the company.

India Today Book Club — non delivery of item after taking payment

I had already lonched my complaint on the 26th of january 2010, last moenth. I got a quick reply from india today book club, regarding my complaint, i also had a telephone converceation with their representative that i will receve my product shortly, but all these are hopeless, whenever i qury about my products, repeatedly more than 10 times, they asked the same i, e, 1. Your order id, your membership no, your shipping address.

I have submited these all repeatetly, but answer from their side is same as usual, "we are looking foreward to your complaint you will get your product soon".

I ordered the product on-28/11/2009, and today is 04/02/2010.

I thnk nobody can help me with these cheaters named as, "india today book club".

India Today Book Club — Non delivery after taking payment

I had placed an order for a kodak camera which comes with a package of holiday for 2 nights and 3 days at 65 destinations, and a flight ticket for a sum of rs 5298/- and made the payment through credit card on 18 dec 2009. But till today i have not received my parcel. I called the helpline no[protected] but to my surprise i am not getting any clear reply. I think itbc is cheating customers giving false promises.

Hello sir iam mathialagan i have ordered for a reebok kit by vpp or cash on delivery i received the kit but products like watch and track suit are missing when asked with the customer service there is no response i dont know why these people are like this and the indian governent donesnt even care like this fraud companies and that too india tody the well known comoany doing a fraud service like this iam from 28 sitting market vellore

My name is dinesh gopal and i have book a product according to indiatodaybook club agent they said to me on phone that " sir indiatoday book club is completing its 25th anniversary and your name is selected in a draw (Top 50) and we have to product package for you they are:
1- one holiday package 4day and 3night + philips rs22000 home theater system + reebok watch + rs20000 voucher of shurat diamond jwellery.
2-one rs22000 samsung dual simmobile phone @ rs 9500 + rs25000 voucher of shurat diamond jwelley)

And they give:
1-philips hometheater system worth rs 4000 + reebok watch (Mrp rs2599) + holiday package.
2-samsung star touch mobile (Mrp rs 11110) + 3 day 2 night holiday voucher.


The company must be punish for their lie and in conjuction with thw descripency the conversation between me and agent was recorded and must be in their database and can be checked for verification.

I need justice.

Books & CDs in — Change of Scheme

I was informed of some travel & vacation scheme for 2 days & 3 nights anywhere in india for a total value of rs. 3, 198/- during my telephonic conversation and accordingly i had booked the scheme and i was allotted booking id[protected]. I am surprised to receive a parcel of books & cds for a total value of rs. 3, 198/- in place of the aforesaid scheme. Now i feel totaly cheated since i am not at all interested in books & cds sent to me.

Please look into the matter and take remedial action promptly within 2/3 days.

I am rajasekaran from chennai. Let all the people be alert about a cheating company in the name of a so called reputed cheating company called india today (Living media)

A call center employee from india today book club called me in my mobile and informed me that there is a scheme for rs.3198/- wherein you can avail 2 niights and 3 days holiday package of our choice any where in india along with two way airfare. Eventhough i was not willing to beleive since it was not viable proposition, due to the perrsistent calls from the itbc call center employee i said okay i will make try and swiped my card thro ivrs for rs. 3198. Before swiping i asked the call centre employee to mail me a mail confirming me that the air fare is free which he promptly did. At the time of hanging the receiver he informed me that we will get our voucher within 7 days. To our shock we received a parcel of books and cds with a invoice for 3198/- when we called the call centre they we are not answering properly and also mention pls log in to some site to claim the free gift. But when we opened the page it said pls take printout of this voucher and send it to some x travel agency along with 800 rs as charges. I felt so cheated and humiliated that a magazine which talks about ethics in public life is nothing but a no 1 cheating company. People pls before and dont be gready. Never deal with this company even if they are saying they are giving gold as free.

Can someone please forward a complaint to the police or respective authority?

If someone at india today is listening - please stop this atyachar - you are degrading your own brand so much, i have stopped buying your magazine.

Every magazine does not need sell. They can simply print distribute freely to readers.

So much income for ads they publishing, copy price is extra income for book sellers, that's all...

Like satellite tv, magazine business is also going well.

They don't bother about you buy or read it etc.

Refund for orders placed with you for purchase

I had booked two sets of reebok shoes & track suits. No. Ora[protected] order no. Oga[protected] dated 28.01.09 login id:1572308 membership no. Itbc 09842308 and invoice no. Ora[protected] order no, oga[protected] dated 27.01.09 login id no.1574320 membership no. Itbc 09since the size was not suitable as per your instructions i had returned the same which were sent in one packet through dtdc courier vide their reference no. B 51742744 dated 11.02.2009. Dtdc had confirmed that the packet was delivered to you on 13.02.2009. When i enquired with your customer care centre they have informed that the stock of requested size is not available right now. I request you cancel both the orders of rs.3198/- [each return the funds of rs.6396/- plus rs.400/- incurred by me for returning the same to you, along with interest at 24% from 14.02.2009 till date of settlement. An early action in this regard is highly appreciated. Let me place on record the dissatisfaction on the inordinate delay from your side to respond to the needs of the customers. I have not received any communication from your side for the emails/written request/telephonic requests. Whether you feel appropriate for an institution like india today book club. The customer care department has not shown any responsibility in sorting out this issue which is also not acceptable for common man doing business with you from various parts of the country. This is a feed back for you, how efficiently your various department are functioning/co-ordinating your business. Think it over whether this shows a healthy and good projection of your goodwill and reputation in the market. Hope a favorable and responsible reply from you at the earliest failing to which i will be compelled to take appropriate legal action.

India Today Book Club — Non-delivery of Purchased Goods

I had purchased a swatch watches 1541 chronograph for rs.3199 on 31 december 2008 from india today book club through online shopping. The order no is internet /0ga[protected]. India today book club confirmed that the watch was sent to me by speed post and indiapost consignment given to me is no. Ed[protected]in. The watch has still not been delivered to me.

A copy of my icici credit card statement showing the transaction is attached please.

Despite protracted requests to india today book club customer care, registered letters to their office and long correspondence through e mail, i have not received the watch.

I had lodged a complaint with india today book club and the complaint number is 5426.

I can forward all the e mail on the subject. I used to get response to my e mails. However, there is response to them since last couple of months.

May i request you to direct india today book club to deliver the watch to me without further delay. It may kindly be noted that

India Today Book Club — Non Receipt of the book ' Complete History of the World" and assured free gifts

I 'm m. S. P. Arularasu placed order for the book "complete history of the world" through india today sweepstakes invitation and sent cheque no. 317261 dt.28.10.2009 for rs.2199.00 of canara bank mettupalayam, coimbatore, tamilnadu and the cheque has been collected in the bank on 02.12.2009. My ref. Pt[protected] and itbc 3009-l1-89037. My mobile no is[protected]. So far i have not received the book and also the assured free gifts worth rs.11899. Even after 4months there is no information.
pls let me know what have you done with my complaint-i dont see any action--a lot of money it is and you dont care--

India Today Book Club — NON RECEIPT OF MOBILE PHONE

I was solicited by mr hemant of india today book club, & his supervisor ms diya rastogi for selling - to be launched - latest mobile of samsung model worth rs35000/- for rs12498/- plus rs60, 000/- worth diamond gift voucher of m/s suraj diamonds plus rs20, 000/- holiday package on 19 feb evening. After i paid vide my credit card (For which mr hemant took my card number & expiry date - cvv number was punched by me on the avr machine vide my cell phone), no booking number was given to me and the call was terminated. My credit card has been debited but till date, no information has been given regarding booking number or the confirmation by sms or cell phone.
On enquiry today to their customer service @ 1 pm (Mr niraj kashyap), he informed that phone was not in stock and there was no such scheme for diamond voucher and their sales people just tell false stories to book order. He informed my order number was oga[protected]. He has advised me that he is forwarding my request for refund which will be processed over next 28 working days. This means that india today shall earn free interest over my deposit and their whole sales department is a fraud.

I wish my refund to come immediately.
