I had purchased a offer from India Today book club of Rs.3198/- for holiday / air ticket voucher in the month of 14 Nov . 2009, and after activitating the form i sent the form to itbc office at banglore twice, as once they have misplased the form and i got various id which is as under:

and after making STD calls to banglore i finally got the holiday and air ticket voucher
when i gone through the T &C, I found there is a catch in the form, which was not told before while purchasing the offer. they are:
1) Earlier in the holiday voucher T&C the customer has to pay a DD of
Rs. 800, but now in the voucher form it was written to pay Rs. 899/-.
2) This offer is valid for one year.which according to my purchase
voucher ends in November 2010 whereas, in the flight voucher it says
the return travel to be completed before 31 July 2009.
3)Thridly in the flight voucher T&C . It says to send a DD of
Rs.7000/- towards airport taxes & fuel surcharges which was not at all
there in the previous T&C. is this not a cheating/ forge.
4) Forthly ur flight voucher form says to fill 3 alternative
destinations. whereas, from my hometown Port Blair, Andamans there is
only 2 destinations for the flight (i.e Chennai & Kolkata)
Kindly guide me on the above following lines so that i can undertake
my holiday journey without much huzzle & puzzle and does'nt have to
pay more burdern to my pocket. other wise u have to clear ur T & C at
the time of offering this offer.

WE HAVE BOUGHT 7 HOLIDAY VOUCHERS FROM INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB ON 26.4.2009.WE HAVE PAID Rs.5,943/- FOR EACH VOUCHER & THE TOTAL COST OF OUR 7 VOUCHERS ARE Rs.41,601/-.AFTER RECEIVING THE VOUCHERS WE HAVE ASKED THEM TO REEDEEM OUR VOUCHERS BUT THEY ARE UNABLE TO DO THAT NOR THEY ARE REPLYING US WHAT TO DO WITH THESE HOLIDAY VOUCHERS.I HAVE CALLED THERE DELHI OFFICE SEVEREL TIMES & SPOKEN TO AROUNT 20-30 PEOPLE IN THERE OFFICE DISCUSSING MY PROBLEM AGAIN & AGAIN WITH EVERYONE,BUT NO ONE IS ABLE TO REPLY US.I HAVE SENT THEM SEVERAL E-MAIL BUT I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY REPLY FROM THERE SIDE.ONCE I HAVE SPOKEN TO ONE OF THEIR SENIOR OFFICER Mr.ADIL & AGAIN DISCUSSED THE WHOLE STORY OF MY VOUCHERS,HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL REPLY ME WITHIN 48HRS BUT ITS MORE THAT 48 DAYS WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLY FROM HIM.
TODAY ON 29.04.2010 I AGAIN CALLED HIM IN HIS OFFICE TO TALK WITH Mr.ADIL,I WAS TOLD TO CALL AFTER HALF AN HOUR AS HE WAS BUSY.I CALLED HIM AGAIN AFTER HALF AN HOUR I WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE & ASKED ME TO CALL TOMORROW.AFTER ONE & A HALF YEARS THEY ARE STILL NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING FOR MY VOUCHERS.
THIS COMPANY IS A VERY BIG FRAUD & I AM SO AMAZED THAT AFTER HAVING SO MUCH OF FRAUDS WITH SO MANT PEOPLE AS SEEN ON THE INTERNET, INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB EMPLOYEES ARE STILL CALLING US ON OUR MOBILE TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS.THEY ARE SHAMELESS PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST ROBBING THE INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ANY PRODUCT FROM THEM.
SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE AGAINST THIS COMPANY TO STOP THEM FURTHER SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS TO OTHER INNOCENT CUSTOMERS.THIS IS A VERY BIG CHEAT COMPANY & ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE FRAUDS.

India today book club is a fraud company. They are looting public money for their interest by cheating Indian publics hard earning money. I have been cheated by this group for Rs 23492 in the following ways:
On April 04, 2010 I got call from Indiatoday that I have been chosen for Rs 60 lac sweepstake draw in which Rs 10000 cash will be given to you as consolation prize for sure. But you have to place purchase order in between Rs 7000 to Rs10000. I ordered for Rs 7098 for Kodak camera+reebok track suit+wrist watch (booking ID[protected].
On April 05, 2010 I got another call from Indiatoday that I have been chosen for Rs 60 lac sweepstack draw in which Rs 20000 cash will be given to you as consolation prize for sure and your name is in first five candidates. But you have to place purchase order for minimum Rs 20000 and you had already done purchasing for Rs 7598 So you need to place order more than Rs 13000. I ordered for Rs 7598 for Whirlpool Microwave oven+holiday woutcher+reebok wrist watch (booking ID[protected] and Rs 7598 Philips hometheatre+DVD with FM radio and video games+wrist watch (booking ID[protected].
In December 2009 they called me to offer Reebok shoes for Rs 1198 along with wrist watch. I placed the order (order no.:0GA[protected]. I ordered for size no.8 and they send me shoe of size no 10 with no wrist watch in packet. I called their customer care and as per their suggestion that they will refund the entire money I returned back the shoes by currier.
Till date they had not supplied me Kodak camera, they had not supplied Whirlpool Microwave oven, they had not refunded for returned shoes. They have given only Philips home theatre with broken wrist watch and poor quality DVD with no FM radio and no video games as they promised. When ever I call to their customer care they say you will have to wait again for 3-4 weeks.
For consolation money they say we will give you four gift vouchers each Rs 5000 for diamond jewelry in place of cash. This is not a fare business.
I request Indian public please do not purchase anything from them. Otherwise you may be one of the victim like me.

This is regarding the order no.[protected] placed on 30th March 10. As per you executive the material is supposed by 15th April 10. But not received . Then on 13th April I had call your customer support no, from their I got the information that due to some payment mismatch my order had not been executed, you executive had asked me to send the copy of my credit card Statement along with Transition id. I had submitted the same on 13th. Then again on 15 I had contacted your customer support, they replied that it will take another 10 days to delivery the material.
Finally I had cancelled the order on 24th March 2010, And they had delivery the material on 26th March. On 29th When I had mailed to customer care they replied the due to some system problem, My cancellation request had not been taken, so they had instructed not to collect the material from courier.
On 30th I got the courier but I had refuse to collect. Against I had mailed to customer care for the same, their reply was " one we received the material in our stock then we will process for refund.

This is a real fraud company. They tried to cheat me some two years back. but i got back my money by reverting the credit card transaction through bank. After that i have decided never to deal with INDIA TODAY GROUP in any way. I have put even their mails in SPAM MAIL.

India Today Book Club — Non receipt of assured gifts
on 3rd march 2010 I receicved a cal on my mobile - [protected] that my number is selected to receive gifts worth a minimum of Rs.25,000 from Indiatoday book club, but I should pay an amount of rs.13,998 and I paid the amount thro my credit card of HSBC. When i did not receive anything in 3weeks I complained and immedeately I was informed that it is being sent and I will receive it in 3-4 days time. Sofar I didnot receive anything, but the amount is reflected in my recent credit card bill.Am I to assume that I got cheated by Indiatoday book club?

company propogated sun glasses worth 3999.00 in 599.00when received it was fibre glasses worth rs. 100.00 in local market.

its call center person asked me to return it so that they will send the actual sunglasses.

India Today Book Club — Wrong Debit of account, no and wrong goods, callous and misleading attitude
On a telemarketing call received from India today Book Club during 8-10 March 2010, initially opting for a Rs.5200 scheme escalating to Rs.9500 offer , i have after over 2 months not received right goods inspite of very clear understanding, nor refunded Rs.5200 , sent wrong goods, sent goods which i never opted and in spite of repeated requests over 2 months getting misguiding and evasive replies. I made a big mistake in trapped into this unfair market racket. Sir,
