I lost my mobile phone at DDA Building District Centre Janakpuri on date 08.12.2010.

I lost my mobile phone last month (August)Nokia X3-02 blue in Gudiyatham.I went to file a complaint and asked the police to lock the mobile ( it contains family photos).But they avoided me and told that they would do so only for the mobile of important officers.I could get no help from anyone.I could not claim even the insurance without FIR .Only now I found this site Is there any chance to lock the handset? If so, I know it is late, but I request to lock my handset. Atleast it could stop someone from using it.Please I need reply to know whether this works.
