Dear Sir,
On 5th march 2010 I got an SMS that my mobile no[protected] has been selected for free 26 inch LCD tv. This is done to advertise their Brand name. I immediately called at the No. [protected] given at the sms. A person took my name & address & told that after 6 hour I shall get a file no. I got the file No & again called at the same No. They have sent me an SMS where they confirmed me about the delivery of the TV on 7th of march at my address through Vehicle No WB 02/D6184. On 6th march morning I got an sms that I need to pay Tax Rs.845/-, Transportation Rs. 1115/- warranty charge Rs. 440/- to their A/C.
I confirmed that the SMS was done to fraud & cheat. Though I know very well about all those false mails that we use to get every day. But the main thing is, doing this they may be cheating several simple people.
I went to the Police and told about the fact. I told them to register a complaint & also demanded the owner of the Phone No. But he refused & advised to file a case.
Please suggest me how I can take the case because I want to take them to the court & arrange for the appropriate punishment.
