AVOID MAKE MY TRIP AT ALL COSTS. They are a sham, they have the worst customer service. They have failed to complete a refund which need to carried out by June 2009 till now (Feb 2010). I have made over 60 calls trying to find out when will I get refund or what has happened. The customer service is absolutely pathetic they have no idea what is happening and keep making promises that I would get my refund within next 8 days every time like a tape recorded message. Kindly pass the message across and avoid make my trip

    I would like to get to your notice that the date of booking mentioned in the confirmation email is 3-March-2010, despite my selection of 4-April-2010 as my travel date. Details of booking:

    I have reported this error in booking at the help desk and my complaint number is IN0912R0265660 and was informed that I would be contacted in 48hours.

    I would once again like to describe the way I booked the ticket which may help you understand that it wasn't a fault at my end while booking.
    I had started the process of booking and after clicking on the next button during booking, instead of 4-4-2010, it picked up and booked for 3-3-2010.
    The travel time, flight details are exactly the same, but instead of 3-3-2010 the date needs to be 4-4-2010.

    Please have a look into it at the earliest as I need to confirm my ticket for 4-4-2010.
    Kindly contact me or let me know your contact details if you need to discuss this further.

      I have booked aair ticket by air india flight no: ic 936 from hyderabad to chennai, journey date[protected], one adult, booked through visa credit card on[protected].
      After entering all the details and completing all the formalities like entering my ipin,
      i did not get any ticket pnr number or ticket details.
      This is very frustrating.
      Please respond immediatly and give me the details of my air ticket booked through your web site.
      After taking all the details how can your web page can vanish without giving proper information orv feedback about the booked air ticket?
      Your toll free help line is number one bogus system, where no operator comes on line, or, the menu will serve any purpose?
      The first experience on your site is HORRIFYING.
      Please sort out and get back on my email immediatly.

        Hello,

        1. It has been a traumatizing experience to talk to customer care executives of makemytrip over phone for refund request. Every time I have been given a different response to such an extent that I see no choice but to forward this complaint to consumer forum as well.

        2. To start with, I had booked a ticket from Milwaukee to Delhi via Chicago and Frankfurt and back on the same route. The United Airlines flight (from Milwaukee to Chicago) in the booking mentioned above got delayed and so the entire trip was missed out. The Chicago--Frankfurt-Delhi route was on Air India. When I contacted United Airlines people first, they told me that since the entire trip was through Air India, they don't have any money for the refund and I should contact Air India.

        3. When I contact AI, they told me that I should contact makemytrip as I booked my ticket through makemytrip.

        4. So I started contacting makemytrip's customer care. Following is my experience with different customer care executives (all in Gurgaon office). Believe it or not, I have contacted them eight times:
        - Nazm (on 6th Feb): she told me that I should contact United as its their flight which got delayed and not AI. She asked me to get a stamped document from United that their flight got delayed and send it to makemytrip. I contact UA and they said they don't have anything to do with this. The delay information is available and visible to all other airlines and travel agents, so they don't have to issue any stamped document.
        - Sumeet (twice on 6th Feb): She told me that she can not see on her system if the flight actually got delayed.
        - Shikha (on 6th Feb): She said that she is escalating my complaint and makemytrip will find out if the flight got delayed or not and that I will receive a callback within 6 hours. I did not receive any call back within 6 hours.
        - Shikha (on 7th Feb): She told me that since the UA office is closed on Sunday, the delay information will only be available next day.
        - Ravinder (on 8th Feb): He told me that (a) makemytrip is still trying to find out if the flight got delayed or not (b) if the flight delay is confirmed, I would receive full refund and (c) I will receive a callback within 6 hours "for sure".
        - Jatin (on 8th Feb): I rang him after I didn't get a 6-hr callback. He said he will find out why there wasn't any callback and connected me to a supervisor named Tushar with whom the connection got snapped.
        - Deepak (on 8th Feb): This was my worst experience with a customer care executive after which I was compelled to send this complaint to service desk and different consumer forums. He told me that (a) instead of makemytrip contacting the airlines, its me who should contact the airlines for refund request. All other customer care executives told me that entire 2 days were gone because makemytrip was trying to contact the airlines. (b) He told me it will actually take 72 hrs for callback. All other customer care executives told me that it is 6 hrs. All this despite knowing that my itinerary also has a return flight on Friday 12th Feb which should also be cancelled now. (c) He also asked me to contact UA (again) for refund request. I told him I have done so and I have been told that UA doesn't have any money for this booking. He then gave me a snap judgement on my refund case: I should agree for cancellation charges. I wonder on what basis this verdict was announced. (d) On repeatedly asked to connect to his supervisor, he said I will get a callback which hasn't happened yet. He also pronounced that there is no benefit in contacting the supervisor as he is going to tell me the same. I wonder why there are supervisors in the first place. (e) He told me that "the bottomline is" I should contact airlines myself. (f) Inspite of my continuing insistence, he refused to convey all this in writing.
        - Priya (on 10th Feb): I contact her and again she gave assurance of call back in 6 hours. Nothing happened.
        - Pankaj (on 11th Feb): He said the callback will be in 24 hrs. He also said if they verified that the United Airlines flight got delayed, then I will get full refund.
        - Chinu (on 11th Feb): There was no call back in some 22 hrs, so I decided to talk to makemytrip again. Said she would connect me to some other department but the call got disconnected.
        - Sumit, Sahil (on 11th Feb): Sumit connected me to Sahil. Sahil was impatient right from the beginning. He didn't try to understand my specific queries and try to answer them. He kept on saying that they are still contacting Air India. Despite being asked why it has taken so much time, he did not give any plausible explanation to me.
        - Priyanka (on 11th Feb): Call couldn't be completed.
        - Abhijot (on 11th Feb): Was probably in the same department as Sahil. Put me on a log hold and the call then got disconnected.
        - Ravinder (on 11th Feb): Said that since the ticket is refundable, I would not compensated for my return trip as well.
        - Sahil (on 11th feb): Promised again that I will get a call back. I told him I am traveling the next day and would be available on emails. he said he will email me. He also said they have contacted Air India and I will not get any refund (no explanation why no refund will be given to me). Never heard from him or anyone else. And now, it is 17th Feb today.

        5. Needless to say, this horrible experience with makemytrip is almost akin to a scam where a customer is harassed and forced to pay unauthorized and fraudulent charges. I have made my booking through makemytrip and my refund will be from makemytrip. Then why should I go around the offices of the airlines.

        6. If a callback is never given within 6 hours, why the customer care executives give a false assurance of 6 hours?

        7. Obviously I have to be compensated as it is not my fault that UA flight got delayed.

        8. I request that my refund case is taken up quickly by appropriate and knowledgeable persons. The makemytrip's "escalation" process regarding customer complaints is nothing but another scam as nothing really comes out of it. The entire customer care department appears to be giving contradictory and false assurances.

        This is very shocking experience i got from Makemytrip Customer executives.I was booked domestic ticket on 17th Feb 2010 from Mumbai to Guwahati. Due to some technical error on your website my ticket get cancelled. I talked to customer care they told me the amount will get credited on your account within two working days. The money get credited on my account on 20th Feb 2010 but on the same day they have debited RS 3000 from my account with the same reference no.
        With lots of disscussion one of the customer care executive agree that mistake has happen from their end only and will refund amount in 7 working days but almost 12 days over but still haven't received amount. I callled them again and i need to explain the whole story to that guy but still he is not agree with what i am saying he want me to send my bank statement again. This is rediculous..

        Very worst service provider... go for yatra.com it is one of the best service provider...

          I write with reference to a booking which I have recently made for 2 persons on Malaysian Airlines travelling from Dubai to Denpasar Bali (the “Booking”) using the www.makemytrip.ae website (the “Company”). Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances made it necessary to cancel my Booking.

          Although I have made numerous efforts (for over a week!) to cancel the Booking and obtain a refund, it has been absolutely impossible to reach the competent department of the Company and finalize the matter.

          I have sent 14 emails using all the email addresses provided by the Company on their website and/or given to me by the Head office in India after having spent hours on hold on costly international calls to the Company. Regretfully, I have had no response to my emails even though I have been assured by the people at the India office that I will have a response within 24 hours.

          All my good-will efforts have proven fruitless, and as a result I have spent hundreds of Dirhams in phone-calls towards the Company’s call centre. When I finally got through to an operator who seemed interested enough to listen to this matter, and started the process of cancelling my ticket the call was cut off. I was later able to once again speak to an opperator who informed me she had sent the necessary request to the cancellation department and I would be contacted within 24hours as she personally was not authorised to make a cancellation.

          The Company’s office in Dubai has been unable to help me with my cancellation claiming that I can only resolve this matter by making a formal request to the Company’s office in India.

          To date I still have not received a formal confirmation from the Company regarding the cancelation of my Booking and/or information on receiving my refund. I note that since I have notified the Company in writing (on numerous occasions) of my intentions to cancel, the Company owes me the amount of AED 4,680 (INR58,500) less cancellation charges of AED560 (INR3,500) for the settlement of my refund. The said amount is outstanding and the Company has been requested to take all necessary steps for the immediate resolution of this matter and settlement of the due refund amount.

          I regret to note that this has been without a doubt the worst service I have ever received by a travel agency and I am appalled by the way the Company is allowed to operate on an international level. I will be sending a formal complaint to Malaysian Airlines directly and informing them that the Company’s actions are seriously damaging and tarnishing the reputation of Malaysian Airlines.

          I have finally received an email reply from Abhilasha Amoli at makemytrip requesting my contact phone number. This in itself is an irritation as my contact number is on their system as they use it as a security check when you call the Call Centre. I replied regardless and sent 2 contact numbers only to receive yet another reply stating that they are unable to contact me as the service is barred on their lines. I was instructed to please call the call centre in India. This is yet another International call at my expense.

          I fail to understand how makemytrip.ae can have a U.A.E website and provide a service to clients in the U.A.E but they do not have the facility to make International calls in order to contact clients residing outside of India..
          I am please to announce that I finally received confirmation of my cancellation and my ticket costs were refunded minus the cancellation fee as advised.

          However, due to the appaulling service I received prior to lodging this complaint, I will not be making use of Makemytrip again.
          very bad service.
          I wants to cancel my booking, till now I not get from morning.
          We booked a flight and cancelled in a few hours. Less than 12 hrs. to be precise. The Airlines has a 24 hrs. flexible refund policy, i have a refundable ticket to top that. Yet Makemytrip has charged $350 for cancellation. After hours of holding and arguing to return the money that the airline has charged, the manager(who could barely speak in english) hung up on me and hasn't replied yet. He promised to respond in 24hrs.! we have made reservation for large families in the past, but personally i would not use them for the professional customer service that i received. Got to Yatra instead.

            I have to book an urgent fight ticket but i am not able to book though Makemytrip.

            I am having SBI debit(mastero card). I called customer care they said it will be resolved in next 24 hrs but not resolved yet.



            Please help me put. Its really very urgent.

              I had booked a ticket with Ticket ID FLT[protected](PNR RDCBVE and RDCBV4) on 15th Jan through makemytrip taking it to be the best in providing support for ticket bookings etc.I called up makemytrip.com on 22nd Jan and tried cancelling this ticket but couldnt get my call completed thanks due to the long hold i was put too due to damn slow systems on their side.After failing to complete the call 5 times, i got frustrated and called up the airline directly and cancelled the ticket directly.It has been 20 days and I am yet to get the refund on the same.Amount being Rs. 6,254.Please refund me my money ASAP.

                Hi,

                I had booked an Air Kingfisher ticket through Makemytrip.com for the 20th of Jan 2010. This ticket cost me Rs. 3136/-. Since I had to pre-pone my trip to 19th Jan, I took a new ticket directly from the Kingfisher Airlines at the airport. Kingfisher airport authorities asked me to pay the whole amount (i.e. Rs.5500/-) for the fresh thicket which they issued to me. They also told me that an e-ticket booked through Makemytrip would have to be cancelled online itself.

                I cancelled my ticket on the 19th itself from Makemytrip website. I got a comment after successful cancellation stating that, the amount would get credited to my bank accout after 10 business days, after deduction of the cancellation charges. It is 11th Feb.2010 today (more than 20 working days) but my amount is still not credited to my bank account.

                Every time i speak to a customer support exec. They give me different answers altogether. Even to an extent of disconnecting my call.

                Please could you help me get my refunded amt. ?

                As you have asked for, below is my MakeMyTrip Booking ID - FLT[protected] and the booking date is Booking Date - Mon, 18 January 10. This ticket was cancelled on the 19th January 2010.

                One of your customer care executive had assured me that my amount would get credited between 7-10 working days after raising a complain. Today is the tenth day, but my amount has still not appeared to my bank account.

                I am hoping that atleast you can help in this matter.

                Make My Trip — Refund not made

                I booked an air ticket for Guwahati to Kolkata on 27/07/10 through Make My Trip,Booking Id FLT[protected].However, i cancelled the same on 29/07/10..But till date the refund amount has not been paid.The make my trip online refund status is showing that its paid. I checked with my bank also but the same is not reflecting in my bank account. I used my wife's Corporation Bank debit card for ticket purchase but Make My Trip is showing that they have made the refund in Citi Bank account..I cant understand how come Citi Bank coming into picture,when i have swiped a Corporation bank card..I dont even hold a Citi Bank account either.!!!!!!
                They are also not replying to my mails and are unaccesable through phone also..

                This is simply disguisting and an unprofessional attitude from a company like Make My Trip...In a single word its Cheating...

                cash gone without booking

                Respected sir Today I was booked two tickets bangalore to Mumbai. But I didn't get ticket .cash gone from my account. My email .[protected]@gmail.com

                  I booked 4 bus tickets from Pune to Goa on 9th jan 2010 worth Rs 2400 via www.makemytrip.com. On 14th jan, I receive a mail saying vendor can cancelled the booking and refund process will be done and money will be transferred to your bank account. That day, I receive Rs 150 only in place of 2400.
                  I've called the toll free number several times, every time they say, refund will be done in the next 48hrs but its never done.
                  Please help me recover my money.

                    I would like to place below the details case history:

                    Air ticket was booked through Makemytrip.com with following details:
                    Air ticket from London (Heathrow) to Mumbai by Air India
                    Booking ID No.: IN 0906B01272
                    PNR No. ZPXHMS
                    Date of Booking : 05th June 2009
                    Date of Journey: 29th August 2009
                    Name of Passenger: SAQUIB MANKAR
                    Mode of Payment: ICICI credit card
                    Nature of Booking : Ticket booked over phone
                    Terms of Booking (as told over phone at the time of booking the ticket)
                    Postponement of Journey: can be done within period of one year from the date of booking of the ticket. However, additional charges of Rs 6500/- and the difference of fair at the time of journey would be applicable. The postponement should be informed at least 5 days in advance from the date of journey.

                    Chronological details of the events thereafter:
                    Call details made to “Makemytrip” from phone no. 0257 – 2282147/[protected]
                    22nd August 2009:
                    I informed that my son Saquib Mankar would not be traveling on 29th August 2009 due to certain reasons and would like to postpone the date of Journey. The call centre executive told that the same can be done but I have to pay 6500/- additional charges and the difference of fare applicable on the date of journey. The validity of postponement will by upto December 2009. I confirmed having agreed for paying Rs 6500/- and difference of fair at the time of travel. I told the executive that my son is not traveling on 29th August 2009 and will travel on future date. The conversation was over at this point of time.

                    21st November 2009

                    I informed that my son wants to travel on 25th November 2009 or whatever earliest flight available on the ticket already booked by me. The call centre executive informed that the ticket is “no show” as such that ticket has been cancelled. It was informed to him by me that on 22nd August 2009 it was told that the ticket can by postponed upto December 2009 with additional charges and difference of fair. After long discussions it was told that the information given to me on 22nd August 2009 was not correct and should have contacted Air India for cancellation of ticket. At this time I argued about the wrong information given to me and try to find out solution. But no satisfactory reply was given.

                    1st December 2009

                    I talked to call centre executive (Hitesh Bhatti) narrating the entire chain of events. After discussing the issue and consulting seniors for about half an hour he informed that we gone through earlier call conversation of their executives had with me (party) and finally informed their decision is to refund the entire booking amount of Rs 18000/- (accepting their miss communication). It was also informed that the amount would be credited to my credit card (through which I made the payment) within 10 working days.

                    01st February 2010

                    Spoke to call centre executive (Ms Dhairya. Ref. No. IN 0912R0214174) giving reference of communication held with Hitesh Bhatti on 01st December 2009. She again discussed the entire episode and told that what Hitesh told about refund of money has not been recorded on their data sheet. She promised that if Hitesh has committed the refund which will be found out from “Customer Conversation Record” the company maintains the amount will be certainly refunded. For verifying the communication of Hitesh with me (party) they need 24 hours time and after that the company will revert back to me.

                    05th February 2010

                    Spoke to call centre executive Karandeep (Ref No. IN 0912R0228105) giving the reference of conversation dated 01/02/2010 with Ms Dhairya. Karandeep informed that it is on the record that Hitesh did commit to refund the entire amount on 1st December 2009 and she wonders why Ms Dhairya told that it is not available on the data sheet can not be told. She further informed that she being new she has to consult her seniors to give me reply in this regard. After consulting seniors she replied that it is fault of mine (party) and as such refund is not possible. I confronted by saying that since long the matter is discussed and company has agreed to refund the amount then why all of sudden this U turn. She replied that I have discussed the matter with seniors and the decision not to refund is final. Meanwhile Senior Mr Mandeep intervened and just informed that the mistake of the party hence no refund is possible.

                    Plea with the Consumer forum:

                     The company on 1st December 2009 certainly came to the conclusion that there was mistake on part of call centre executive which gave in complete information about rule of postponement i.e. I need to have call air lines for cancellation of ticket.
                    My contention in this regard is : Had the call centre executive informed me to call Air Lines and cancel the ticket, in case I want to postpone the journey, I would have definitely done this. Because I am a senior officer working with reputed bank having broadband, land and mobile phone service available with me.

                     The request is to take up the matter with the Company and also request for requisitioning all the call communications, as mentioned above, to verify the submissions made by me and decide whether the company is at fault.
                     The forum is also requested to advise company to make the full refund and booking amount in addition to suitable financial compensation for having gone through mental and physical agony over period of past 3 months, if the company is found at fault by the forum

                      I have tried to book a ticket with MakeMyTrip but the transaction was incomplete due to some technical reason and the amount was debited from my account.

                      Immediately, I tried to get in touch with their 24/7 customer support but I had to be in the queue for approaximately 20 minutes and finally when the call was answered, the agent disconnected it. I tried again but this time aproaximately 30 minutes in the queue but no answer.

                      Finally I disconnected the call myself, because I have realized that the call charge from SWEDEN is exceeding the tickect charge itself.

                      I am not worried about the money spent on phone call but we really have to do something about this, to bring this into the attention of the management so that better quality support can be availed.

                      I am planning to send an email now but I dont have clue about theit response time.

                      This issue was never resolved. After 4-5 days I got the money back in my account. I realized that I am getting too late with my booking. Especially when I am travelling with a infant.

                      So, I decided to try my luck again on 06th Feb, BUT THE SAME PRROBLEM HAPPEND AGAIN! Later I called the customer care and talked to various people for approax 30 minutes. Then a person called Dharmesh Yadav promised me that he will keep booking active and will confirm when the payment is recieved.

                      I sent an email to him yesterday, but there was no response. So I decided to call the customer support. The first agent just disconnected the call between the conversation. I tried again and waited in the queue for 30 minutes and tried to call parallelly using a different phone. But this time I used 'international-new booking' option and within micro seconds I got Miss. Rita online.

                      She was soo kind to me but eventhough she couldnt give me any information on the ticket or the money. She tried to get in touch with the online department but never succeeded (may be the online department was offline). I realized that nothing is going to happen within in the next 24 hours. She promised me that she will call me after 24 hours and give clarification on where the money/ ticket is.

                      I must say that makemytrip must be really ashamed to focus only on their sales, and not on the support.

                      If I dont get the ticket and something goes wrong with my travel, I will end my relationship with makemytrip, I swear. I will also do rival marketing for you to the maximum possible extent.

                      Finally, call from sweden is quite expensive. approax 75 rs/ minute for 1.5 hours!!!

                            No refunds, failed transaction

                            I paid Rs. 4297 from my bank account for a booking and makemytrip tells me that the transaction has not gone through, and has not provided any transaction ID or confirmation. The amount has been deducted from my bank account, though.

                            Every time I call, I am provided with an increasing amount of time that it would take makemytrip to make a refund, starting with 24 hours and ending with 5 business days.

                            Even i got the similar call today afternoon they charged me rs-6349/- .I had done the transaction of same amount with makemytrip.

                            I was contacted by Garima a customer care representative of Yatra.com who told me that I have been selected by Yatra.com who are offering me gift vouchers of the programme "Discover the World" wherein I could avail holidays within India as well as outside India and the total discount for both these packages comes to Rs. 42000 or thereof. When I asked for some clarifications then Garima also connected the line to her Boss within the same organisation who confirmed the offer. The same day I accepted the offer at 8823/- whish also included a gift wrist watch costing about Rs. 2500/-. Garima later told me that I will be called to make the payment after a period of 45 days but she asked for the Credit card number and deducted the amount immediately. Garima gave an ID number which was 811557 and also gave me a helpline number[protected]. When I asked her from where she is talking she said that it was from Delhi and I had reminded her that the STD code was not of Delhi but somewhere in Haryana, and she never clarified this point. Later on I got a message on my mobile [protected] that Rs.8823/- has been deducted from my SBI card on account of SHIFT THOUGHTS CONSULTI on 19th January 2011. When nobody contacted me even after a period of 7-8 days I tried to contact Garima at the number she had called from[protected] and also the helpline number as mentioned above but found that both these numbers do not exist. I then contacted the SBI Credit card authorities who told me that the amount has already been deducted on 19th january 2011 and cannot be reimbursed. The Welcome Kit is supposed to reach me in 15 days and I will know what is in offer for me. However the above facts are put as a complaint after I have read the fate of different customers who have been cheated by Shift thoughts Consulti & Make My Trip.com. I hope being a senior citizen and subsisting on a pension has been cheated and hopefully more such cases don't occur. The Shift Thoughts Consulti kindly note. Further action will be taken if no reply is received from them on my mobile number.

                            For my Booking ID - NF22028160​89343 - there was a DEL-BOM flight on Spicejet (sG) and a BOM-DEL flight on Air India (AI). The cancellation charges as clearly articulated were Rs.750 (airline penalty) + Rs.250/- (makemytrip penalty) for SG and Rs.500+ Rs.250/- for AI. When I went online and proceeded for cancellation, your portal clearly indicated that the return ticket was for Rs.6434/- and on deduction of Rs.500/-+Rs.250/-, I will get a refund of Rs.5684/-. Also, It was showing that the onward journey ticket of Rs.6655/- cannot be canceled now.
                            The total amount I had paid was Rs.13089/- on 17th February for booking these tickets for travel on 20th February.

                            As soon as I proceeded for cancellation and checked the refund amount -- the website changed the amount -- THIS IS CLEAR FRAUD
                            Now, after I have canceled you are simply showing the refund amount as Rs.3759/-. What the hell is this?

                            Is there any kind of process defined for a cancellation done? No alert mail is sent. Why are you deducting Rs.1925/- extra when your terms and conditions clearly say the amount deductible is Rs.500/- + Rs.250/-. Is this the kind of service I should expect from makemytrip for my future bookings...

                            You guys simply cheat your customer for Rs.1925/- without any reason.

                            Immediately, I called up the customer care -- On the call Reference ID - IN1202R0084283, the executive just puts me on hold intermittently and has no clue of what is happening and why? I had to spend an hour on that call. I was confirmed that there was some error in the system and I will be getting refund of Rs.5684/- as the cost of ticket is Rs.6434/- and the penalty is Rs.750/-.
                            Your systems are pathetically slow and your processes are not clear to your own executives. I had requested for a cancellation confirmation email and invoice but NO ONE AT MAKEMYTRIP CAN SEND YOU ANY DOCUMENTS>>>AS MAKEMYTRIP WANTS TO CHEAT ITS CUSTOMER
                            I was told that this will be resolved in 3 working days but these guys are also UNPROFESSIONAL...

                            When I again called up the customer care on friday (24th February), NEW VERSION -- Customer care says the SpiceJet flight was of Rs.8580/- and return flight AI was of Rs. 4509/- and hence the refund is rs.3759/-

                            So, within 4 days makemytrip will artificially inflate the price of your ticket which you have used and will deflate the price of the ticket you cancel...SO SIMPLE FRAUD...and again they will not send any invoice...the most surprising thing is they saying a return ticket on BOMBAY - DELHI sector is worth Rs.4500/- --- IS that possible today...I requested for a new booking of a return ticket at Rs.4500/- if that is the rate...then they say I need to see their website for the rates...

                            All the CHEATS AND FRAUDS HAVE SET UP LARGE COMPANIES WHICH ARE SITTING THERE AND CHEATING TRAVELLERS...

                            After receving a message from hdfc bank i.e. - thank you for using your hdfc bank credit card for deduction of rs. 6399, iknew that i have been cheated by shift thoughts consulting. Immediately i went to the nearest branch of hdfc bank, & meet their to credit card executive name was Mr. [censored]iz, he suggested me to call to customer care and gave me the nos. of customer care. Immediately i blocked my existing card & asked for dispute form for taking action against shift thoughts consulting

                              I had booked a ticket on 13/01/2009 through online makemytrip (for my daughter) from Mumbai to Bengaluru for travelling on 21/03/2009.Due to some problems ticket could not be booked though the payment was made.I was told that I would get refund within 2-3 days.I contacted them a number of times and always I was assured of getting refund within 2-3 days but in vain.On customer support of makemytrip also I am adviced to contact at phone numbers on which also only assurance is gibven.
                              It is 27/01/20010 today but status is the same.

                                Dear concerned,

                                On 25.01.2010, between 04 pm to 7 PM, while was trying to book some tickets from your website through my State Bank Debit Card, there was a 'transaction error' and eventually, the tickets could not be booked.
                                However, when I checked my account balance, shockingly it showed a debit of an amount of Rs.9458/-, though there were no tickets booked.

                                Details are:

                                SBI A/c No:[protected]
                                A/c holder: Avneesh Garg
                                Debit Card No: [protected]-481
                                Bookinig was tried to be made on: 25.01.2010
                                Booking was tried to be made for the 04:15 PM flight of 01.02.2010 from Pune to Delhi for two persons.
                                the contact number given for the said booking was [protected] and the email id given was - mukesh.[protected]@gmail.com

                                Therefore, you are required to refund the same immediately under due intimation to the undersigned.

                                Secondly, on making further search I have found that this is not something new for your site and a number of persons find this difficulty, more than often.

                                I also got to know that though, the concerned airlines may not be having a Debit Card payment facility, yet your website tries to have such payment made from your internet own resources, without having any tie upwith them in this regard. For this you impliedly represent to the customers that you can provide a Debit Card payment facility even for such airlines which do not have one.
                                However, actually, due to there being no such arrangements between you and that airlines, customer end up losing there money and you either usurp their money, on account of there not coming to know such cheating by you or by bluntly refusing to the refund the same leading into a litigation.
                                You, in any case, do not refund the amount within a reasonable time and enjoy earning interest on such amounts for at least 7 days.

                                Accordingly, I think this is high time you should mend your ways otherwise, the undersigned shall be constrained to initiate appropriate proceedings against such malpractices of cheating, for the costs and consequences of which you shall be wholly and solely liable.

                                Lastly, I also believe that once you have charged an amount, which you ought not to have, it is your responsibility to refund the said amount by yourself, or contact the concerned customer informing him the same with your proposed action of rectification, immediately.

                                With reference to your post above, kindly note that your transaction was unsuccessful on the MakeMyTrip website. This means that no money was debited by MakeMyTrip from your debit card account.

                                In your case, your bank could have blocked but not deducted Rs. 9458. This amount will be auto-reversed by your bank in to your account. For further follow up on this, you need to check with your bank.

                                MakeMyTrip has not received any payment or deducted any money for your transaction and this is not a case of “cheating” by MakeMyTrip as alleged by you.

                                DearSir / Madam,

                                I peetamber joshi booked one flight to my wife Aruna joshi thru spice jet sg 234 from hyderabad to delhi depart at 1300 PM on 27.01.2010. my wife is 31 week pregnant, prior to book tiket i called to customer care and asked the procedure for pregnant lady they simply said she can travel up to 32nd week, this is very shocking when she reached at shamshabad airport at 12.10PM, the executive who were on the counter she asked for the fit certificate from our doctor, then she simply replied it was not inform earlier by customer care, till 32nd week you can travel, so executive said without certificate you cant travel, then she requet to doctor on over phone there itself for certificate on the 12.20 and also request to executive who were there MS. Shikha to please provide her fax no. or email ID she totaly denied to give that she said now the time is 12.30 and counter is closed and we dont have any fax here and she was very rude to her, i was outside then i went to spicejet counter and requesting for the same to ms. sunanda she also refuuse to give me fax no. then i went again and this time ms. Mirza given me the fax no as well as the emil id, and at 12.44 the email has been received, copy is also attached for your reference, when Ms. sunanda called inside in spicejet counter MS. SHIKHA WAS VERY RUDE AGAIN IN FRONT OF MY WIFE AND REPLY TO SUNANDA AND HER COLLEGUES TOO' SAID BOLA NA EK BAR MANA KAR DO NAHI HO SAKTA MTLAB NAHI HO SAKTA HAM KYA EN LOGO KE LIYE BETHE HAI, HAME AUR BHI BAHUT KAM HAI' and then she put the counter closed board there at 12.30 itself,

                                being a pregnant and alone she suffered for mental and physical trauma at that time, you must have to take care of her little more as compare to other customer but whatever you did over there its ridiculous and pure negligence, if something will be wrong i will not forgive to anyone, i dont know if it the way to treat a customer i must have to think for my next booking, and if i will not received any positive reply i may visit to consumer court and lodge the complaint against spicejet.

                                This company is full of fraudulent people. Their website has lot of technical defects and most of the time the session will timeout and your payment will be claimed by makemytrip.com. Never deal with company. They have the worst customer care department. Mails should be sent to [protected]@makemytrip.com They will go on revising the required time to resolve the issue. We should inform the media regarding this. They will be glad to publish this story..

After tow months and after repated complaints they have send me mesage that I will receive amount of Rs. 1439/- towards cancellation. when they talk on phone they communicate that the amoutn of refudn will be Rs.2879 and they send me mesages and mails that the amoutn will be 1439.                                   The complete details Regarding my issue are Mentioned in Trailing Mail, and in brief my complaint Summary is:
                                  I received a call from your Mentioned Outsource Company, Regarding a Voucher Scheme Package, and they promised to deliver the same within 21 days, but they failed to Deliver the same with unspecified reason,Besides this I made Regular calls for 2 months to Remind them about their commitments, but no one picked up the call.This no was given by their team member as Customer care helpline of Make my Trip who Ringed me first time with the offer[protected], and In spite of Several calls they have not Responded my mails,I also reminded Make my trip team and the agency too,I can forward the complete details of my credit card transactions and detailed mail exchange over this issue, I request you to pl intervene ASAS so that the issue is resolved and my money is paid back also in future they should not be able to cheat innocent common people.

                                  Make My Trip — False information

                                  On June 8th I started to make my booking online with Make My Trip for Goa/London/Goa. Their website showed a low price of 32000+Rs. As I had trouble with my credit card I called their CustomerDelight???Agent who assured me the cheaper fare had sold out but would book me the next price [10000+ extra].So I agreed. The next day the cheaper fare was still showing and even 1 week later also. I sent 6 e.mails asking for an explanation. I got 1 reply from someone called ”Kajal Devi”[probably fictitious]” saying sorry we’ll investigate and get back to you in 48 hours. On the 23rdJune, the same person called me to say they were refunding the difference in the ticket. However till today 20thJuly…no refund I even sent a SpeedPost Letter to the MD of Make My Trip in Haryana but no reply. I also sent a letter to the Chairman of theTravel Agents Association of India but obviously they protect their own as no acknowledgement or reply. My advice is NEVER use Make My Trip. I am a Senior Citizen so can ill afford to lose 10000+Rs.Is there anyone else who I can legally complain to??

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    On 14.01.2010 i was booking an airline ticket on www.makemytrip.com for Delhi-Blore-Delhi trip(details mentioned), thru SBI ATM cum debit card(Maestro card).After making the final payment of Rs.6560/- thru the Debit card,there was some "server error" dispalyed.The ticket was not booked , however the money got deducted from my account.The details of the Bank n the flight is mentioned below:
