Sub: Request for refund due to ticketing error by MakeMyTrip.com Ref ID - NF[protected]

This is to inform you of a gross ticketing error on the part of your
organization due to which my family, including my two year old baby,
suffered significant inconvenience.

On (12/11/2010), I had booked three tickets on IndiGo Airlines flight No
(6E196) from Goa to Mumbai, departure at 13:55 on Friday 12/11/2010 through MakeMyTrip.com. The booking was for two adults and one
child (Please find attached all the supporting documents). I had paid
a fare of Rs 10062 /- for the adult tickets and Rs5931/-for the child
ticket. A total of Rs 15993/-

Imagine our shock when the IndiGo Airlines staff at the Goa airport
told us that they had no record of the child ticket. We were forced to
buy a fresh ticket for our child and despite having paid the full
ticket fare on MakeMyTrip.com, we had no option but to carry her all
through the flight. Needless to mention, this glaring negligence
very frustating experience.

I request that your organization expedites the refund of the ticket
fare that is due to me. I would like to continue being a customer of
MakeMyTrip.com and sincerely hope that this issue is addressed and
resolved at the earliest.

This was the email i had sent to make my trip.com. Mohit was the exective who was trying to help, but in vain. The issues
1) I did not receive any revert to my mails ( even though the TAT is 24 hrs)
2) Mohit tells me that since the PNR shows confirmed on their systems I will require to take it up with Indigo airlines
3) Mohit further questions me that the Indigo receipt shows i have paid for an infant ( which i had to cause i could not leave my child at Goa airport) while my make my trip booking shows i have paid a full fare ticket.
4) He further tells me that make my trip is jus a mediator & is not responsible for this mishap
5) No supervisors available to take the call
6) I spent an hour on the call the line gets disconnected.

I have forwarded the borading passes, the e ticket, the fare calculation, indigo receipt but its seems that Make my trip not interested in resolving this issue .

    MakeMy Trip became My Trouble.
    How?
    I have booked airlines tickets from MakeMy Trip and its details is below: My Booking ID NF[protected]
    But when trouble was created, when I was returning from Mumbai to Jamnagar on 04-NOV-10 and Air India ticketing supervisor and Boarding Pass Issuer told me that Your ticket was shown as used ticket , so I fought with Air India Officers and make a Solid Arguments that why I was not able to get boarding pass because I have all written documents which was sent to me and also E-ticket print copy.

    Then I was contacted Air Port Manager and showing me MakeMy Trip's FAX copy of booking confirmation from MakeMy Trip.
    In this FAX copy My son's ETKT No. is :[protected]
    This number is shown to and fro Jamnagar to Mumbai and back Mumbai to Jamnagar.

    So, as per MakeMy Trip's FAX copy and Air India's record list only one time my son's money paid to Air India, and that's why they didn't give me boarding pass of my son.

    I have contacted to MakeMy Trip's customer call centre for getting help, but call centre hold my phone and making inquiry and my flight departure time is nearly by. It was not a fulfill satisfied getting support from them.

    Till at last minutes of my departure time MakeMy Trip's customer representive told me that you should buy new fresh air ticket and continue your journey to Jamnagar.

    Then I purchased a New Air ticket from Mumbai to Jamnagar for my son and Paid fully INR 6632/-

    Just imagine! If airlines would be full and I wasn't get air ticket instant than what should I do! And that time would MakeMy Trip give me any compensate for my trouble,?

    So, I want my son's full ticket reimbursemt which was brought on the spot and Its details is below:

      Make my trip id : IN1005B02148

      I had booked my hotel bookings for Kashmir trip through make my trip and made all the payments. This also included payment for hotel hilltop at Gulmarg. However on reaching Gulmarg i was informed by rip the hotel that make my trip has not done the booking and i have to pay for my stay. We tried calling make my trip.com several times but no action was taken by them. We ended up paying again for Gulmarg. The amount that we paid is Rs. 7,202 for which we need a refund from make my trip

      We have already informed make my trip for the refund by phone immediately in May 2010 and they had assured us to refund immediately. We also sent a renmainder email om 13th October,2010 for whichj there is no revert

      Please find attached two documents : a) hotel bill for Rs.7,202 and Letter from Hotel indicating that we have paid the amount and there was no booking from make my trip
      Make my trip is actually not make my trip, but it is make my trouble.
      I have already suffer from doing E-ticket from make my trip and create Make my Trouble.
      I have paid full rupee for getting online E-ticket, Make my trip send me E-ticket via mail.
      That E-ticket when I used in Air port for getting Boarding pass, Air lines authority decline me for issuing boarding pass and suggest me to get new air ticket, because Make My Trip send once in a while fake ticket.

      If you doing anything with Make my trip, you include and grow your trouble not facility.

        hi

        i had booked my ticket from Chandigarh to Mumbai for 18th Nov 10 through Makemytrip.com. later i got the same rescheduled to 17th Nov 10. further i wish to reschedule the fligt to 16th Nov 10, but the toll free no's are not being answered by any one, if i select the option of fresh ticket booking or international booking then the call is answered but if i select the option of existing booking then the call is on hold for ever. the booking head are very rude to the customers, when there is a complaint logged on contact us the same is not answered at all.
        kindly help me to get a resolution

          I had booked airtickets through make my trip on 21st october through credit card. My booking ID is NF[protected]. On very next day I had cancelled my tickets for return sector and Make my trip also confirmed me the cancellation for the same. I was told that both side tickets were booked on same PNR no. so refund amount after cancellation will only be processed once I will board the flight for delhi to ranchi. I did the same and again requested for my reimbursement. After many repeated calls I was told that amount 14340 / will be reimbursed to me against my cancellation and I will be getting this amount with in 3-4 days. I had received a email also as a confirmation on 30th of oct. Till then I am waiting for same amount day and night. I have called and have sent emails also to make my trip for the same issue but I have not been given any confirmation from their side. No body is responding to my mails also.Thats why I have been forced to launch this complaint. pl help me to get my money back.

            Customer Care Help desk Non Operational

            I have a airline reservation with thorugh MakeMyTrip (Booking ID NF[protected])

            I have certain changes to be made in the booking. However when i call the customer care department, the entire domestic sector helpdesk is automated. There is no option of talking to a customer care representative for existing domestic booking. These people are cheating me as i am not able to get the refund for the booking.

            Hello,

            We booked makemytrip vacation package from Banglaore to Portblair (Cost per person is 35000/-INR (nov1- Nov-7th 2010). We faced lot of challenges with the makemytrip and I do not recommend this to others. I sprained my ankle during the trip and MakeMyTrip exhibited very cheap and inhuman behaviour .Pasting snippet from the long description below

            "During sight-seeing , I slipped and sprained my ankle..we rushed to the near by hospital and found that it is a sprain..and need to take rest for few days..I was very disappointed with this incident and also was not able to walk/stand with out any support.
            9) we spoke to MMT person to update about the sprain and also informed him that we will not be able to join them for Havelock sightseeing for the next 3 days as I was on bedrest.
            10) To my surprise, they asked us to vacate the room next morning...shouted at us with inhuman words when we questioned them...I thought they would show lot of concern as we were tourists in Portblair..MMT folks are VERY INHUMAN...THey only mentioend that " room is blocked until tomorrow morning..If you want to continue your stay ..you negotiate and pay..We are not sure if rooms are available here..We cannot do much.This is your health problem.we are not involved , so you should pay all the extra cost yourself" I asked him if they are going return the paid money for Havelock 3 days trip and MMT manager said he cannot as it is already paid to the hotel in Havelock. Why should we pay for the existing accomodation in Portblair(becoz we want to extend the stay) and also for the Havelock accomodation too ( becoz we are not joining)?
            And I was not even in a position to stand..How the hell will I shift the room...I was already in deep pain and all these discussions were more frustating then my pain the in the ankle..MakeMyTrip manager asked us to shift to another hotel on our own..No help was offered..Why do we need such tour operators? The very reason why we book with them is to organize the tour and offer help in case of need. They literally pushed us onto the roads by forcing us to vacate the room..infact MMT did not even try to negotiate with the hotel management if there are any extra rooms available..Fortunately the hotel manager showed some sympathy and gave us a room in the same hotel.As the hotel mangement is same for hotel in portblair and Havelock, he also informed that the room charges werer not paid for us in Havelock..Is MakeMytrip doing business at the cost of my health?.Pathetic behaviour from MMT manager..When I told the MMT manager that I will lodge a complaint, he asked us to goahead and do it..VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING and FRUSTATING

            More details below..

            1) I spoke to MakeMyTrip Executive over phone on OCT-26th to enquire about MakeMyTrip Andaman Package from Bangalore. The Travel specialist hiked the price from 27,999 INR displayed in the website to 34,999 INR per person as this is festive season. I booked the tickets and my creditcard was charged 70,000 INR. I was informed that itenary will be sent shortly. All I know is that departing date is on OCT-31st from Bangalore and no confirmation is received on email / SMS
            2) I did not receive the itenary on Wed, OCT-27th. I called up MakeMyTrip 3-4 times for itenary and flight details. Each time I call them, they ask my name, phone number and put me on hold in each dept for 10 min..To reach the right dept , I will have to tell my name and mobile number 4-5 times and wait for 45 min to talk to the right person. After a long wait, I was informed that the person who booked my tickets is on vacation and so is the delay in sending me the tickets/iternary
            3) same situation on Thu too. I did not receive booking confirmation. I was concerned that 70,000/-INR was charged on my card, but no email was received. I called MakeMyTrip folks 3 times and the response was the same ( Concerned person was on vacation)
            4) Same response with long wait on Friday too OCT-29 too.
            5) On saturday OCT_30th , i did not receive any confirmation/email from MMT. I packed my baggage too, but dont know when to book my cab to airport as I am not aware of the flight details. Was on phone trying to reach MMT customer care for 3-4 hours ..was totally frustated calling them multiple times..All I hear from them is " pls be on hold, I will transfer the call to concerned dept"... Finally I gaveup and asked my husband to keep calling MMT for itenary details..Finally we got the response that the itenary is sent to my email..I checked my emails with lot of enthu,,but havnt recved the email .Again called-up MMT with another 30 min on hold and this time we asked the MMT guy to be on the call until the email is in the inbox...Atlast we have the itenary on hand...

            6) we reached the airport and then at the check-in counter , our names were missing. This is MMT charter (KingFisher RED) from Blore to PortBlair) We were standing at the check-in counter with lot of anxiety and MMT manager finally resolved the issue after 30 min wait at the check-in counter in the Blore airport..
            7) Reached PortBlair..The accomodation/food was decent..

            11) I was able to walk in 3 days . MMT cancelled all the localsightseeing due to heavy rains in PortBlair, but they have included all the sightseeing in the package. When the members in the group asked to return the money, MMT manager said that "it is because o[censored]nforeseen weather we cannot take you out for sightseeing and also cannot return the money"..How did the same MMT manager say that "If is your health problem ..You fell down and sprained your ankle..we cannot do much..you will have to pay at both porblair and Havelock accomodation..is this not unforeseen situation? I

              Sir,

              I had a bad experience with makemytrip.com. Please assist me because now i'm getting a feeling that all the inconvenience to the customers is not a 'one odd case' but the company's intentional attitude.

              I am Customs Officer Sameer Soangra, serving in Indian Customs. Reference is made to booking Id NN[protected]. I have the following to say:

              1. Flight booking was done on 30 Aug 10 for Egypt Airline flight from Mumbai to Tripoli for 02 (two) passengers (One Adult & an infant) for the travel on 07 Oct 10.

              2. I received an email from Makemytrip regarding the conformation of same which is still saved on my e-mail.

              3. This was a connecting flight for the pax as they were moving from Cairo to Tripoli. Travel from Mumbai to Cairo and onward to Tripoli was from Egypt Airline only. Also, I want to bring out this to your notice that
              the pax were moving to visit family in Tripoli (Libya) from Mumbai to Tripoli along with an infant less than a year old with about 50 kgs of luggage.

              4. After reaching Mumbai, I was told by the Check-in Counter that there is no return booking for either of the passengers and said that Make My trip was bound to inform the passengers for making return ticket if they are going on visit visa. On contacting your staff on customer care number, same was told by your executive and i was told that my money of the amount Rs. 13,331/- will be refunded to me in next 48 hours instead of Rs. 21,231/- which occured at time of booking. Deduction o[censored]S $ 170 as cancellation charges is not justifiable at not fault of ours.

              5. I was stuck in helpless situation as no flights were available for that day. There is no one in Mumbai who is known to me. In such a critical situation, I was running around from one terminal to another, requesting( rather literally begging) from one window to another, along with my sister in law (the pax), my 1 year old infact niece and 50 Kgs of luggage. Moreover, I was also not having much cash with me at that point of time.

              6. From that day onwards. I have been calling regularly for my refund.


              7. In regard to my case, I have the following demands:

              (I) Refund of Rs 21,231/- WITH INTEREST OF 12%.

              (II) Compensation of Rs 50,000/- for the Mental Harassment and agony that me , my family and my 1 year old infant niece have gone through because of your company apart from the financial turbulence caused. Also, not informing and awaring the passengers of getting a return ticket on Visit Visa.

              8. This is for your information and necessary action.

              9. If the above demands are not fulfilled within 24 hours, i'm set to file complaint in Consumer Court.

                Hello MMT Team,

                MMT Booking ID: NF[protected]

                Booking Date: 23Oct10

                I had booked 4 tickets for 19Nov10 (Trivandrum/Mumbai) sector. The flight fare reflected per ticket at the time of booking was Rs. 5,042/-. Hence the cost for 4 tickets should have costed Rs. 20,168/-. However once tickets were booked my Amex card was charged a total of Rs. 27,654/-. That too, all 4 tickets were not booked under the same price. I have been following up with the call centre since saturday but yet to receive a response.
                Request you to kindly check and revert at the earliest with the refund of excess charge as i am losing time and i need to change my travel plans.

                  Dear Sir,

                  I have been cheated by makemytrip.com travel website and the reason I am writing to you is so that others learn about the vicious & fraudulent practices followed by such websites.

                  The letter will further highlight how a company which has such mal practices and is morally corrupt and despite suffering continuous losses for the previous consecutive 3 years can do well on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

                  I had booked a return ticket for me and my wife to travel from Sharjah to Cochin on July 23 – return on July 31, 2010 (ticket copy attached)

                  Subsequently due to change in my travel plans we decided to travel to mumbai and cancel the cochin-sharjah sector ticket.

                  When we contacted makemytrip.com for the cancellation, they claimed that if we cancel the second sector we shall not get any refund

                  We then contacted Indian airlines and we were told that there will be a refund but we will have to claim it thru the agent (in this case makemytrip.com) only.

                  When we again called up makemytrip.com – they told us they’ll get back to us and subsequently they informed us that yes they have made a mistake and will refund to us Rs. 8758/- but will charge us Rs. 1000/- as penalty. (all this was 48 hours prior to the travel time)

                  However when we contacted Indian airlines again to ensure that the ticket has been cancelled .. Indian airlines informed us they have not received any intimation to cancel the ticket. (this was till the hour of our journey), makemytrip.com subsequently cancelled the ticket at a later date which reduced our refund amount further to Rs. 7808.
                  This highlights the incompetency of the staff at the company

                  Then makemytrip.com informed us that they will refund only Rs. 6808/- to us considering the penalty of cancellation for Rs. 1000/-
                  When we protested that our initial amount was much higher they decided to waive off the penalty and refund to us Rs. 7808/-

                  We have since then followed up several times with the company but we are yet to see even Re 1/- of the refund that the Indian airlines has given to makemytrip.com

                  In effect, not only did we lose money due to delay in cancellation on our behalf by makemytrip.com but till date makemytrip.com has not even refunded us a single penny, they have conveniently kept our refund amount to themselves without so much as a bother to give us a time frame when they would return what is rightfully our money.

                    I have made booking of Hotel Holiday inn in Make my trip. The amount has already been paid by Credit Card. But when I enquired in the Hotel, they stated that there is no such reservation exists.

                    The person to whom I have made the booking is Mr. Surbir Singh.

                    The Date of stay is from 30/10/2010 to 01/11/2010. But when the Hotel authorities stated that no such reservation exists, how can I believe make my trip.

                      The quality of travel agents/customer service agents with Makemytrip.com is so sub-standard . I have been looking to book holiday package to Andaman for almost a month now; but even after contacting 3 different customer service reps, not been able to get through.
                      All of them disappear when I ask them to send me the flight details etc. because I really want to book it ASAP.
                      With umpteen promises of calling/emailing me back, there is NOT EVEN A SINGLE MAIL/cALL I have receieved from them that gives me these details! It is highly pathetic and it looks like, their customer service reps have no clue what they are dealing with!!

                      Highly irresponsible management!!

                        I had cancelled a ticket on 03/sept/2010 where my total amount to me refunded is 9000/-. after one week i had received 4000/-. then i called the customer care and they told that that was only part payment the remaining amount would be credited asap after a 15 min telecon. i had to remind makemytrip people 4 times. the an amount of 3000 had been credited on 1st week of october. bal 2000/- shoul be refunded which i myself should call them and remind them and tell the whole story again. now i had decided that these fellows cheat on refunds if we are not ignore that they would refund the amount. they think smart but it is stupidous attempt.

                        I booked a to and fro ticket from Bangalore to Lucknow on 31st nov,2009. Due to some problem while booking, i got a call from make my trip saying my tickets have been cancelled and I will get whole of my Rs 15,251 refunded in the next 10 working days. Since then I have been calling make my trip several times, also sent them the screenshots but every time i get an answer to wait. I have got Rs 8139 refunded but rest of my amount is stuck with these people.

                        Do not join Wirkle Technologies situated in Gurgaon, Haryana. It is run by 3 fraud people who have malicious intention to corrupt the future of young people. They will take you as trainee and will change you for the offer letter and will tell that you have stolen company's property like laptop and mobile devices. They do not give the salary promised and then make excuses by saying that customer is not happy so why should company pay.

                          Here is some information might be useful for others...

                          Make my trip is a big cheaters.. here is story for the same..

                          I used there online system to book ticket, payment were processed and i got a response saying your payment has been processed , but due to technical difficulties we are unable to book your ticket.

                          Same will be refunded to you ...

                          Then, I got a mail saying that your refunded amount would be 13150 instead of 14098.

                          The booking was not made at all and i have not cancelled the booking why these deductions.. I dont know...

                          When i called they said give me your bank statement, I have given the same but no luck...

                          I am plannning to go to consumer forum....

                            I am constrained to write this mail while i am on my honeymoon trip which has been totally spoilt because of the pathetic service that make my trip has given to me. I had booked a holiday package through make my trip. The following were the difficulties i faced during my trip.
                            1. The Driver of the cab was unaware of the places we had to visit. We had to guide him to take us to various sites at different places in kerala
                            2. the hotels booked were of sub standard category whereas i was told that the hotels would be of 3 star category.
                            3. As per a confirmed voucher emailed to me , i was supposed to check in at a hotel called backwater ripples at kumarakom kerala. But to my surprise when i reached there and presented the makemytrip voucher they said that the booking in my name was not there. I called make my trip about 15 times to just confirm as to where i had to go so that i could spend my night somehow. They panickingly booked my hotel in some small village after about 3 hrs of coercing and shouting. The hotel was about 25 kilometres from the original place and i had to check in at around 9 pm. Adding to my mental agony was the fact that the hotel was a pathetic one with no facilities and sub standard category of services. apart from this there was no place for site seeing.
                            4. I would advise people not to book any packages from make my trip. They are duping people of their hard earned money. For a 6 nights package i had paid about 52000/- Rs but all in vain.

                            Make My Trip — sub standard service

                            i had booked for hotel accommodation and cab service with make my trip for rajasthan tour. As per the itinerary given by them, they had promised standard deluxe a/c rooms in 3 star hotels for all 10 nights. In line with this itinerary we made full payment in advance. But actually, apart from 3-4 hotels, we were accommodated in below 3 star level rooms some with/without a/c and one with air-cooled. we wasted our money and valuable time complaining to make my trip during the tour. Accordingly they promised me refunding for the balance services which were not provided as promised in the itinerary (i.e. 3 star+ std. deluxe a/c rooms). but its been long time since i have sent a formal complaint via email on customer feedback form for a reply from them.

                              WORST every customer service. After spending last 3 hours trying to change one ticket, I completely give up on this company. and can you believe it in the morning I had got a call from this company HR representative to join at a senior management position. I would not recommend anyone to book tickets through make my trip !!!!

                              I had entered in dates for Oct 30th, system threw me option for Oct 31st and I accidentally book it for Oct 31st ! I call up within a few seconds and I am put on hold by a rep called Rahul for some 30 minutes and there after the phone dies. Post that make some 4-5 calls and each time explain the whole incident and then at the end I am being told you need to pay 3500 extra to change the date ! It was not a date I had asked for first of all then after being through so much of back and fro I am asked for paying up this much of amount ! This doesn't even justify. On top of that they have a staff which is arrogant and unfriendly. The last girl I speak to Parul refuuses to transfer my call to her senior and then puts me on hold for some 15 minutes , again till when the phone dies !
                              I will NEVER EVER recommend make my trip to anyone who is looking for a hassle free holiday or bookings. Their customer service policies are so anti customer.

                              Make mytrip charges you Rs. 150 or more (depends on type of travel I believe) for booking the ticket, but they add no value what so ever to the whole transaction. Such people are best avoided.

                                I have done a transaction of amount Rs 5693.0 with MakeMytrip on 8-sep-2010.
                                Booking did not happen , but amount was deducted, and (my bank also connfirmed) the Makemy trip team told me amount is with them, but even after so many calls and requests, they have not yet refunded my amount.They always ask for 72 hours duration , but they never come back.

                                  I had booked for a trip frm Mumbai to Jaipur,Jodhpur ,Udaipur and back to Mum on 17/9/10 for vacation intended fto start from December 25,2010 onwards thru makemytrip.com.(Ahmedabad office) Since the booking was online and the vouchers/air tickets were to come vide emails, I did not reject the customer interface by Ahmedabad office though I was based in Mumbai.However that was the beginning of my problem. While booking the return airticket through IVR as directed by their executive Anita Dewnani of Ahmdbad office, the booking got cancelled/rejected. But the dr to my acc of Rs.9616 did not get reverted. I subsequently, again on the excutive's direction tried and was successful in booking the return flight which had got cancelled earlier.

                                  However my grievance of not getting the credit entry in my bill stands today also as
                                  no one is taking the onus of resolving this issue. I got a sms and also a mail on 17.9.10 stating that it would be resolved in 2 buss days, but since this did not happen and I enquired after a week I was told it would take 7 more days in the last week of September 2010. I am still struggling. The Ahmedabad office people Haresh shah and
                                  Anita Dewnani have shrugged off responsibility and have said that it is the Gurgaon office's work and ask me to follow up with that office. I am not even given the correct nos or names of persons. Every time I call up the toll nos it either goes to a different person or to IVR. The emails of assurances and the customer feedback forms filled by me to voice my grievance has also gone waste as the typical computer generated replies of "looking into your complaint and we shall shprtly revert" is only what I get..

                                  Make My Trip is the most disgusting operator i have come accross. Their team is an absolute bunch of jokers. Most of them agents are themselves not familiar with how their own internal system functions. Calls made to their toll free nos land at a different location each time. Absolutely unprofessional guys. When you select the language option as english you will soon discover that the person on the other side has probably done english honors from Timbaktoo. Please dont ever make a mistake of booking any sort of package holidays with them. Even their so called Head of Customer Delight-Geeta is casual and least bothered about customer escalations. I think its just a matter of time, sooner or later this unprofessional company will run out of business. Absolutely lousy guys.

                                    After so many surprises (bad) of hidden charges during booking/planning of the trip with make my trip and , finally I had to face a worst surprise from your Make my trip. Initially, they asked and informed (by mail) that I have to pay certain amount for booking fee. I paind the money and did booking but after 2 hrs when payment was realised, they started calling me and asked for more money (which is more than 50% of the total trip cost ) with waring that if I don't do same day than they will cancel my flights and everything.

                                    When I asked why they have not informed this earlier before making the booking they are simply saying.. " SORRY Sir!!...But you have to make all the payment!! "

                                    This was worst situation I am facing with any of travel agent in India and abroad. How can some body change their terms and condition conditions like that after deal and start black mailing after booking and taking money. Atleast this is not excepected from india's number one travel agency.

                                    Appreciate your immediate action on this.

                                      This is in regard to the most irresponsible customer service I have ever experienced, from none other than the very famous MAKEMYTRIP.COM.....
                                      This is with reference to the refund of my cancelled ticket (Booking ID FLT [protected], PNR -8RG8JE).
                                      I have cancelled by ticket on 27.02.2010, and cancellation confirmation was received on same day mentioning that the amount will be credited in my account with in seven working days. But it is almost more than seven months are passed and the refund amount was not received in my account till date. A copy of bank detailed already send to service provider.
