Booked ticket on 9th August, the payment got processed but no confirmation about the booking of the ticket was made, called up the customer care 6 times since then but every time assurances are being given that the same will happen within next 4-5 hrs. Booking id: IN1008B02856

Dear Sir / Madam (Make my Trip),

This is to the reference of complaint on dated 31.3.2013 regarding the Flight booking for 5 passengers from Lucknow to Ahmedabad on JetKonnect fkight no 9W2514 with the booking ID NF[protected] & IN1303B25190 which got failed due to some technical reason.

1. The payment made for 1st booking was Rs 34951.00 for 5 Passengers from which only 1 Passenger named Ms Safiya Zameer ticket @ 6990 was confirmed and the Rs 25892.00 was refunded to my account instead of Rs 27961.00.

As Ms Safiya Zameer Ticket amount is not shown on your website and the customer care person ( Mr. Vikas dated 24.4.2013) told us that the ticket of the above passenger was not generate due to some reason. After a month, I am still in a unclear situation as Rs 34951 was credited from my account for 5 passengers bookings and only Rs 25892 was refunded.

2. As said above, Rs 29140.00 on the above said flight with the booking ID IN1303B25190 was cancelled due to technical reasons from your side but the amount still not refunded to my bank account. from Rs 29140.00, cancellation charges will be deducted and the rest amount will refund to my bank account shortly.
Why you deduct the cancellation amount if the flight was not due to technical fault from your side.

Almost Rs 31209 was blocked from last one month, I am asking you for 18% interest for the blocked amount for the above said period and refund my blocked with in 3 days i.e. 2nd May 2013.

We are very sorry to bring it to your kind notice that we have been very smartly "duped" by your "well trained intelligent" customer care executives perhaps in alliance of airline we were dealing with that is JetKonnect.

Perhaps you may spare a few moments in getting to know our plight and if possible prevent the same happening ever again to any of your hapless customer. The story goes like this-

On 30th March we booked a tkt for 5 passengers from Lucknow to Ahmedabad on JetKonnect flight number 9W 2514 with a booking ID NF[protected]. Which got failed due to some technical error. On inquiring with your team we were told that they would help us still make the bookings as they could hold 4 seats which could not be booked out of 5 for which payments had been deducted from our account. Then we went ahead with booking, which meant making payments again.

But today we got a "happy note" telling us that our tkts could not be booked, leaving us to fetch for ourselves. And blocking almost INR 68000/- for almost a week. On top of that they have the guts o say that our phones were unreachable, whereas when we called up a customer care executive told us that she would make Mr. Abhijeet get back to us in 10 minutes time because he was basically the one in constant interaction with us besides some Ms. Payal. Interestingily enough when we did not get get the call we tried calling and today all our calls post 5p.m. went unanswered whereas yesterday none of our calls was unattended, rather we got proactive calls.

Can you think of paying us interest on our blocked money @18% for every loss of day?

Why they deduct the cancellation amount if the flight was not due to
technical fault from your side.

I have made regularly many complaints to make my trip but still I am waiting for my refund. Almost Rs 31209 was blocked from last 2.5 month, I am asking them to refund my amount with 18% interest.

    Refund needed from Make my trip for India Great Festival offer Ref. ID 20258, Ref. complain no.[protected]

    Hi,

    I have been complaining for the last 1.5 months for the cancellation of deal for Inida graet festival offer and request for refund. I had made a payment of Rs.6616.9 on 7th July, 2010 for the India great festival offer ( where it had MMT's yearly membership+ Domestic flight and hotel dicount vouchers+ International hotel and flight discount offer + Free watch).

    At the time of purchase they told that you will get 25% discount on all purchase like air ticket , railway ticket , shopping from mall etc with dining card. They tlod that you can use holyday booking voucher in one trip Rs. 7000 and can go to any where in the india. Like that they promised for many things. But when I paid the money and came to know the complains from various customers. I contacted make my trip and they informed that I can't use 02 nos. vouchers in one time, I can't use dining card for any purchase etc. So very next day 0n 8.07.2010 I requested to Make my trip that pl. cancel this deal and give me refund. But even after several followups I am not getting any response. Even after passing 1.5 months still I have not received any thing from make my trip as mentioned above). Now they are telling that I can't get refund.

    I would request consumercourt.in's team to help me with this and it would be great if you can help me to get the confirmation for refund.

      I cancelled an air ticket booked under make my trip ID FLT[protected]. The refund amount as per rules is Rs.5316/- out of which Rs.2634/- has been credited to my credit card account. When I noticed the discrepency I made a complain to make my trip and on being contacted over phone by me they informed me that the shortfall amount of Rs.2682/- has been credited to my credit card account on 19.07.2010. The credit is not reflected in my card statement and I think the company officials are lying.

          I paid Rs.7719/90ps thru Credit Card on 12th Jul'10 for a Multiple offer transaction thru Telemarketing by Makemytrip.com promising me to send the Vouchers and products offered within 10 days .Since it was Makemytrip I agreed to accept but till now Nothing from their side has reached me. I doubt whether there is any Genuinity in the Telemarketing done by a Reputed Organisation such as Makemytrip.com. Please send me a genuine reply for the money , I think , swindled by the concerned people thru these kind of cheap ways.If they are not genuine , they can as well go door to door for direct Donations.This I am telling since the Money is hard earned and Legitimate one.
          Please Help to stop any cheating like this in future atleast.

            Hi This is Srihari, I have booked the flight from Chennai to Kualalumpur 3 adults 1 infant Indianairlines Flight thru makemytrip.com for date 24th Jul 2010 Rs.22,860.00, After few days(3days before the Travel date) got sms from Makemytrip pls contact the airlines for unoperational flight.If contact them they saying as flight is cancled. So I call to makemytrip ask for full refund for the cancelled flight. they Refund the money only Rs.12,270.90 , this is my booking ID FLTINT[protected]. I contact the Makemytrip thru email regarding this they said will respond in 24 hours. Its almost 4days completed they never send the things. Please help me to get remainig amount as soon as possible.

            I had canceled one ticket on[protected] Booking ID NR[protected] PNR[protected] Cancellation ID IN1010R0124274 The refund process mail receive on[protected] .But till dated & time my refund in my axis bank account not receive.
            I had contact more than 20 times to customer support executive and given mail with my bank statement till[protected] HRs .

              i had purchased a travel pack in january 2010 worth rs 7719 from make my trip which was sold through shiftthoughts.i paid the same through my creditcard on jan 19.
              till today i have not received the wristwatch nor some refunds promised to me as part of the package.
              there is also no customercare number and it is cumbersome to contact them.

              SHIFT THOUGHTS IS REALLY GOOD COMPANY, ON 1 OF MAY I GOT A CALL FROM SHIFT THOUGHTS THEY HAD GIVEN ME MAKE MY TRIP WELCOME PACK IN THE COST OF 6617/- ONLY, AND I AVAILED THIS VOUCHERS ON MY HONEYMOON PACKAGE, IT WAS REALLY VERY GREATFULL FOR THEM THAT THEY SELECTED ME, BECOZ OF THERE GUIDANCE I SAVED AROUND 10, 000 BUGS ON MY HONEYMOON PACKAGE AFTER REDEMING THE VOUCHERS, SO I AM THANKFULL TO THEM AND IF IT'S POSSIBLE, I[censored] LAUNCH ANY TYPE OF PROMOTIONAL OFFERS SO PLZ DO SELECT ME, , THANKS

                We've been observing many offers around in market which contains (*) in them which leads to multiple Terms & Conditions. The intentions of these (*) is to ensure that customer gets stuck in this & can not avail the benefits which those offers give.

                One of the example of such offers is (*) of Makemytrip.com which is now offering "Buy 1 Get 1". I did a booking from their website which was done on 14-Jul-2010 assuming that I am gonna avail the free tickets in next 15 days & enjoy the free travel (ofcourse pay for all the taxes). But know what, a surprise here ...... I did a goo[censored]p. And you know what was it? I was supposed to mention the following characters in the deal code "HappyHours". This was missed by me.

                I called up their helpline to get the help so that I can avail this offer still. And not at all to my surprise, they used this as an opportunity to not let me avail this offer.

                I understand there was an error done by me. But this can be helped through by the helpline which clearly knows that I'm being a repeating customer. And I'm sure the offer was for people like me who want to be a repeat customers to Makemytrip.com. But believe me their intention doesnt felt to be the one to get the customer but to enjoy customer making such mistakes & not able to avail those offers.

                Believe me was not expecting this from a company like makemytrip.com that they will not even bother to help me on this issue further. For me this a learning & will always be extra careful while dealing with makemytrip.com

                    Make My Trip called me and introduced their Great Indian Festival Offer and said its as part of the MakeMyTrip Select Program. They told me that the package where I need to pay Rs 6610 as a one time charge for a year, includes Two International Holiday Discount Voucher worth Rs.5000/- each – Total Value Rs.10,000/-; (2)Two International AirTravel Discount voucher worth Rs. 1000/- each – Total value Rs.2,000/; (3) Two Domestic Holiday Discount Voucher worth Rs.3500/- each – Total Value Rs. 7,000/-; (4) Two Domestic Hotel Discount voucher worth Rs.1000/- each – Total Value Rs.2000/; (5)Two Domestic AirTravel Discount voucher worth Rs. 500/- each – Total value Rs.1000/-.. They emaled me the offer on 2nd of July.

                    There is a huge difference between what i was explained during the call. I was shocked to see that there are individual terms and conditions attached to each of the vouchers for redemption. I wrote an email to them regarding this on 8th july to cancel the transaction of Rs 6610/- made by my SBI credit card but got a phone call from +91-[protected] on 9th of July and the executive informed me that they can not cancel the transaction. Followed by this they also sent me an email regarding the same on 9th of July. I tried calling the same number but I got automated voice message saying " the phone number doesnot exist"

                    I tried to locate the phone numbers and contact nunbers of the management staff to bring it to their notice but looks like they have deliberately not disclosed their contact details.

                    I feel that this is a Fraud and I am getting cheated and Make My Trip should be brought to justice.I want to lodge a complaint against Mr Deep Kalra who is the founder and CEO of Make My Trip.

                    Let me know how you can help me in this regard.

                      This complaint is regarding duping me through telephonic calls after I become a regular buyer of online air tickets through makemytrip.com. A caller identified that he is calling me on behalf of makemytrip.com offered a package The Great Indian Festival offer. The offer value is for Rs. 7,719.90 This offer was accepted my me for the reason that goodwill of makemytrip.com was involved. The amount was transferred by credit card to an account STC-MAKEMYTRIP. The offer letter with Vouchers were sent in the letter head of make mytrip.com and is attached for your reference. During the call, it was not mentioned that the vouchers offered were not redeemable through online booking normally carried out by me through makemytrip.com . Once I received the package with vouchers, it provided this vital information that it is to be booked by telephone as per the nos. given in the offer letter (See attached letter). Now these nos. do belongs to makemytrip.com but I could never talk to anyone over the phone but it is always answered by IVR and there after repeated failure to contact anyone, I contacted local makemytrip.com office in Guwahati and I was informed that the responsibility of this package remains with their program partner, shiftthoughts.com. This was never mentioned during the call offering this offer that there is any other partner involved in this offer.
                      I would have never accepted this offer:

                      1. If it was known to me that it is not makemytrip.com but some other dubious company that offered this offer and
                      2. The vouchers were not redeemable while booking online through makemytrip.com.
                      The offer took benefit of the credentials of makemytrip.com and makemytrip.com took this advantage for fraudulently duping their valuable customers.
                      Not only that, once I could talk to the executive over the given no. but the price quoted for the air ticket was higher than the existing tickets available from online booking and even after redeeming the vouchers, the price of the tickets are higher than the available tickets online and the executive was not offering tickets as desired by me in terms of time and convenience and was not even ready to confirm this immediately. After I opted for particular booking, I was informed that they will confirm this but no calls was received as well as any e-mail and I could never contact them again.
                      Now toadw 1st July 2010, I called the number again[protected] but I again my call was responded through IVR.
                      Please take this complaint to logical end and advice me for any appropriate action to be taken from my side.
                      I feel if the offer letter is really offered by Sachin Bhatia as seen from the attached letter, it is really shame that he has duped us. If he can do it for money what is left in his integrity?

                      make my trip/ festival offer — offer diffrent than promised

                      The offer was explained by agent who promised 2 airtickets each for 2 adults and 2 children absolutely free however the lady who spoke first transfered the call to agent who said that tickets were free more than two times ,after that the call was tranferred to the person who said how many vouchers i will get and did not mention that i will not get tickets absolutely free and only this part of call was recorded
                      I feel cheated and want money to be refunded at the earliest on account of incorrect information provided to me and and cheating me

                      I also made payment of Rs. 7, 719.90 through my credit card on 15th Nov 2009 and have not recived till date any voucher, card and gift assured.

                      I was thinking till date STC-Makemytrip was some dubius company non-existant on earth and lost all the hope. today while once again trying to look for makmytrip-stc by google I could discover that it is existent. what kind of service it is customer has not recieved a packet and company has not even made a call of dispatch and dockit details. really strange.

                      Still makemytrip continues with this rubbish offer and deceiving all the customers...

                      In my case it happened the same way and i reverted back within a day asking for cancellation and money back -- ONLY ONE DAY after receiving the vouchers .. as i was surprised to see the conditions which were not told before.

                      I bought this package on sept 2010 .. till now I am trying to use the vouchers .. All the customer executives in makemytrip are not having any idea about this offer, , , they make me wait for a long time hold /..THIS IS NOT A TOLL FREE NUMBER .. and i used to waste so many rupees on phone calls //

                      I ;had done so many email communications .. each time executive changes and i had to start the story from the first and they end up with fake promises .

                      ONE SURPRISING THING ..

                      when i tried to book online .. it cannot be done ... I need to call them .. so i did that .. when I asked the executive to book airticket with the discount voucher of 500 /- i am having ...

                      the ticket rate was 5071 INR .. If i book online .. But these executives charge 1000 INR as service fee and then they deduct a discount of 500 as per my voucher it seems ... Ha ha ha ...

                      DO these people think we are fools ... when one can buy the ticket online directly with 5071 INR who will pay[protected]dicount voucher ) ... ????

                      I expect this should be stopped and action to be taken against these fraud by make my trip

                        I have tried to book hotel accommodation at Kodai Resort Hotel in Kodaikanal on[protected]. Without even confirming the availability of rooms, Rs. 10 272/- had been debited from my account. But due to non availability of rooms on the requested dates, the booking was automatically canceled on the next day. Even after communicating many time over phone and in person to Chennai Office at Nungambakkam, the money is not yet refunded.

On 15/06/2010, I tried to book Air ticket from Guwahati to Chennai for my son Victor Dhar by the flight no 6E 291through online (Debit Card of SBI). The Money was instantly debited but ticket not received. The ticket was tried to be booked with email Id vickey.[protected]@gmail.com and phone no given [protected] which is my son's id and phone no.However, I have contacted with their customer care when I was provided with booking id IN1006B05738.My discussion detail is as follows: I was told on 23/06/2010 that the money has been credited on 22/06/2010 which will be reflected in your account within 3 working days which was a false information as it was not credited as promised. On 25/06/2010 when contacted I was again told that the money was credited on 24/06/2010 and not on 22/06/2010 and will be reflected within 3 working days but not yet received.Again I have called their customer care today on 29/06/2010 when I was told money has been credited on 24/06/2010 but since it has not been reflected in my account I have to provide my bank statement to them so that they can take up with the bank. But I dont understand why should I provide my bank account to a company with whom I do not have permanent transaction. Is it not their duty to take up the matter with their banker to expedite the refund. Please help me out to get my refund. My email id is [protected]@yahoo.co.in and Mobile no is [protected].

                            1. I tried making a reservation for airtickets on MakeMyTrip worth $1,040. The system processed my payment but at the end of it, gave me a message saying that due to some unusual circumstance, my reservation could not be completed but my credit card was charged and that I would be contacted within 2 hours
                            2. When making the reservation, the system asks you for one contact detail in the passenger information section. On any other website you would put the details of the passenger travelling and not necessarily of the person paying. After I printed the error message the window automatically closed and all details of the reservation was lost. Thankfully an email was sent to the passenger's email id.
                            3. I tried calling the MakeMyTrip customer service in the US and then figured that there is NO WAY I can call the Indian customer service from the US who would be addressing my problem and the minimum wait time for that is 24 hours (btw I never received a call)
                            4. I tried the online chat and the customer rep told me that I will be contacted and after trying to explain for 10+mins that MakeMyTrip did not have my contact details, I gave up. I finally ended up calling the US customer service and left my number there (to which I again got no response)
                            5. I did get an email in 2 hours from the passenger (who forwarded me an email from MakeMyTrip) that the reservation was not successful and I had the option of getting a full refund. I promptly replied but 3 days later the $1,040 was charged to my credit card and all further communication was of no avail.
                            6. Luckily, the US credit card agencies support disputing transactions. If not, I dont know what I would do.

                            In my mind this is fraud. The company acknowledges that there should not be a charge but still goes ahead and charges the credit card...
                            As a consumer I had tried looking for complaints before making a purchase, but did not find any relevant ones - hence got misinformed.

                              Hi,

                              On 30th May, 2010 I got a call from Makemytrip saying that they are offering some travel package to customers. The cost of the package is Rs.6616. When I further enquired about the package, they said they will be giving branded wrist watch, some domestic and international travel vouchers and dining card. I was not interested on those vouchers except the dining card. When I further enquired about the dining card, they said I will be getting 25% flat off on airline booking and departmental stores like bigbazaar and reliance fresh. Today when I received the dining card, i could see in the booklet that only restaurants and hotels are there in the list and no departmental centre is there. Further, in the restaurants and hotels only 5% to 15% discount is given rather than 25%.

                              Makemytrip cheated me very badly as my entire amount has gone for toss. Please suggest me ways to get my money back and also how to sue these maketrip guys.

                                I had a very bad experience of booking 6 tatkal Train tickets with Make my Trip & wanted to share that. Just couple of days back i booked 6 ticket under Tatkal quota but all of the tickets did not get through & were under waiting list & i had confirmed this with the call center guy. These are of no use of mine & wanted to cancelled. When i was cancelling the ticket it was shown a refund of Rs 6,600 after deducting cancellation charges. But after i cancelled the tickets i got a message stating a refund of Rs 2,200 only. The 4 tickets out of 6 which were under W/L status just before cancellation were shown as confirmed & cancelled after cancellation. When i called the customer care services for twice they kept me on hold for more than 20 minutes in the pretend of checking the details.

                                Be careful when you book through this site for Tatkal tickets.

                                  I had preponed my ticket from 11th July return from Frankfurt to Kolkata to 8th July and I was charged Rs. 7800. I have enquired with the customer service office of Air India regarding the charges and they said me it is around 42 euro or 50 US dollar i.e around Rs 2500. I have no doubts regarding this rate since one of my friend has the same ticket as me and had preponed from frankfurt for 42 euro. I have tried to mail them regarding this but the mail is bouncing back.I would like to help me find a right deal with them. I am a student from NIT Warangal.

                                    i booked 8 tickets to delhi to goa ita a round trip ticket to delhi and your one of the evecutive mention the name of one passeger is incorrect nd we dont have the identification with that name so i want that u should make the correction with the name or give me some of the other possible efforts to remove this inconvienece with any of the other thing in this trip there is her husband and daughter is travelling and this passanger list 3 of the passenger is having a passport or as u want we can carry our family photograph
                                    as u tell me wht to do with that coz i v not suffer your executive mistake i have to take a step against it

                                      i bought great india festival vouchers on line via Transaction ID is 8997119. the information provided to me at the time of purchase was totally wrong. when i registered complaint to ms.neha on same department on phone[protected] but reply was not acceptable. then i registered a complaint on makemytrip website to ms. sayani gupta vide Reference ID: [[protected]] great india festival offer scheme but from there no response at all despite of sending mail to her everyday. i have been using this travel company from so many years. i was not expecting this type of response and work culture from big company.

                                      my booking ID is IN1208B16173. I wanted to book standard mini kerala package (given on internet) with small modification in pick up time at alleppey. I contacted for the same to Swati gupta (Swati.[protected]@makemytrip.com). She send some itinerary but I did not bother to go through as I have already seen the itinerary at the internet. I said OK and paid for the booking (She said I will get discount as well). When she send me the hotel vouchers then I came to know that she has allotted me a hotel of lower star rating than what is promised on internet. I asked to change the hotel to the one shown on internet. She refused to do so. Then I asked for cancellation as I want what I have asked for. If you go through our email communication it will get clear that I never asked for any modification. Thereafter, I was directed to communicate to her supervisor Mr. Birender Rawat. I tried to speak to him on phone but he didnot come to phone. I also asked om mail to give me a call, he never bothered to do that. He said my issue will be resolved in 24 hrs. I had already paid by then Rs. 21110/-. I checked on internet the package I wanted cost me on internet 21498/-. They are not taking any action on my request and I have got no communication from their side.
