[Resolved]  Venus Geyser — Frequent failure of Geyser

My conclusion > Venus Myst Geysers are a bad product (company's direct after sales service is prompt, but franchisee service is poor)
My advice > Buy any brand, avoid Venus Geysers Myst Brand.

My story > I have 5 Venus Geysers (brand: Myst). Four geysers were purchased in the winter of 2009 and within 2 months they started failing one by one. By the summer of 2010 all of them had undergone repairs. I forced the franchisee service center to exchange 1 geyser because they admitted it had a manufacturing defect.

The technicians revealed that in 2009 there had been a fire at Venus manufacturing plant because of which geysers did not have quality checks. Due to this, all customers who purchased geysers in mid-2009 were reporting frequent problems.

So you see, instead of withholding their product, the company just sells it to unsuspecting customers who spend their lives getting faulty geysers repaired!

In winters of 2010 & 2011 I again wasted a lot of time at the Venus service center. This year, the (exchange) geyser broke down and on 18th April I purchased a new geyser (same brand because salesman convinced it was "improved"). It stopped working after 4 days due to a cut-out tripping.

The technician told me not to heat water in the geyser during summer because it will trip! So you see friends, you can BUY a Venus geyser, but you must NOT USE IT. I was shocked at his advice. Since that day, the faulty geyser trips whenever I raise the temperature to 50 degrees.

The older geysers are working (after repairs last year!) at 65 degrees. The technician had no answer to that.

After the experience of last 2 years I concluded that Venus geysers are not of the same good quality which they used to be 20 years ago. They are a useless piece of chinese junk.

Now I will probably go back to Thermoking or try AO-Smith, Haeir or some other other brand, but not Venus.
