I purchased Panasonic 6.2kg washing machine from croma (Central Square mall, Vadodara, Gujarat) on 5th Aug'15. The sales while pitching the product said it has 10 years warranty. After 2 days from product delivery at my residence, the Panasonic technician came to give demo of the product and fill up the warranty card.
I was surprised to hear from the technician that the product has only 2 years warranty. He also said that the Croma must have given the product warranty from their end and I should call customer care.
I found his reply suspicious and immediately called Croma customer care to find out what the matter was. They said they will arrange a call back, but no resolution was given on the call back. They just said it is a miss-communication from the sales person and no such warranty can be provided. I again called customer care number and this happened for more than 5 times after the date of purchase.
I intimated the girl named Alpa who was calling back that I am about to lodge a consumer complaint, so she said they are ready to give 10 years warranty on my washing machine and technician will come again at my residence to do the formality and will give in writing on the warranty card. But no one came.
After taking follow up again with customer care, they refused to provide such warranty again and said it is not possible, please understand and adjust.
I also received call last week from Panasonic Area Sales Manager Mr. Kamlesh, who said they will terminate the sales person who gave wrong commitment to me but they can't provide me the committed 10 years warranty. He also said Croma will compensate me with a Microwave oven if I want.
Mr Inder Kumar, who is floor manager at Croma called me yesterday and said please visit our store we cannot take the product back but have a gift for you to compensate the warranty which we committed but not able to provide. I went to the store today and he said he will give me 1000 Rs gift voucher instead of 10 years warranty.
I am really frustrated because of the service Croma is providing. I have been chasing them for resolution from last 1 month but they are just passing the ball from one to another.
Sales persons, Customer care, Floor Managers and even Panasonic representative is giving fake commitments and harassing me by making me call them frequently, asking me to come at their store but still not providing any resolution.
I just want 10 years warranty on my washing machine or money back.
