This is Aslam from Chennai. Purchased a mobile phone Sony Experia Z1 from TATA chroma Mount Road with Extrended warranty. I had some problem with the phone and approached the CSD for help. They guided me with claim ID no. 171387 and asked me to hand over the phone to one Mr. Ashok in Clarity Services for repair. The same was done and on 8th June and Ashok called me and said the phone cannot be attended there and it needs to be given to L2 which I do not understand, anyway he took 7 days and returned the phone on 15th June . However when I used the phone I found it to be in the same condition as given. Very irritated and frustrated I called up Ashok, but someone else picks the call and says Ashok is in a meeting and will call back in half an hour but no response. My innumerable calls to Ashok met with no response. I went to Croma CSD and met Santosh and when he called Ashok, he picked the call immediately and on hearing the issue asked to give the phone back for service again. I was very upset to again go through the process but Santosh told me to kindly give one more chance and that Croma will take the phone and get It done. Unhappy to do but with no other go I gave the phone back to Santosh in CSD in 2nd July. After regular followups and enough of frustration, irritation and anger I got the phone back on 10th or 11th . But to my shock I found the phone again in the same condition.
I spoke to Sony, they clearly stated that Clarity services is not the authorised service centre for Sony Mobile phones. Nor is there any Job card created for my phone. They said If TATA is not able to repair ask them to replace the phone and that they do not have anything to do with this case. Feeling helpless I called Ashok again but all my calls and messages to him did not get any response at all. Neither did he receive my calls nor responded to call back. Again I went to Croma CSD and took the phone number of the Service Manager. Till this situation the Service manager did not come to the picture at all. I spoke to Ramesh the Service Manager and He is now requesting me to again give the phone to Clarity and give them enough time to repair as though one and a half month is too small a time to repair one mobile phone.
Under these circumstances, feeling very frustrated angered irritated and under suffering because of getting disconnected without a mobile phone I called the number[protected] and spoke to waseema and explained the whole story as above and she told me to call[protected] and speak I did so and spoke to Aashish and explained the whole of the above story again. After hearing the whole story he had only one reply . Contact the service centre and they will help you. The most stupid reply received from any Customer support department. I explained to him that it was only because my issue is not sorted out there that Iam calling you for your help but instead of taking it further if you ask me to go back to them is this the support you are giving me, he has nothing to say but contact the service centre and gave a number. I called that number it was again Ashok who is picking the call. Means Iam back to point one.
IS THIS THE PUNISHMENT FOR TAKING TATA EXTENDED WARRANTY. The value of the phone when I bought was 40, 000 and today it is 25, 000 and the amount of tension, frustration, anger, hardships and irritation TATA EXTENDED WARRANTY has given is many many times more than the value of a new phone. I am have a strong brand loyalty for Tata products and the way things were handled for me this time by the people down the lane ITS A SHAME FOR TATA.
Again I received a call from Reshma from Croma in Hyderabad and again I explained the story to her and after hearing the full story she said she will arrange for a call back. I asked her if there is any email Id to which I can write this she said there is no such email id. but promised to arrange for a call back.
What ever is done by you now there is no compensation for the effect of all this tension on my health. I still believe in TATA but people down the line are bringing shame to the company.
Now I need only one answer to my question to Croma Extended Warranty. Your site says, if the product is not repaired in the stipulated time It will be replaced.
WHAT IS THE STIPULATED TIME TO REPAIR A MOBILE PHONE BY THE STANDARDS OF TATA CROMA.
Please have the courtesy to reply to atleast this question.
