I bought dell laptop three months ago.i already had it restored 15 days back , but it is still not working properly.
problems-hanging , slow processing , internet is not working , many such issues,

hi have a take DELL laptop in JAN .and after that m facing problems with this laptop and dell is refusing to repair it and more over its still under 1yr garuenty still this people are not taking care of .and this is the 3rd time m wrriting this complaint .hope you people are trying to help us and do the need full as past coplaints are not yet resolved ...

I called dell laptop support services on Friday 7th December for damaged system replacement and way they respond was worst.
Truly unprofessional approach while handling the case and way of providing the service to customer like work happen in government offices

cheating by dell people.

Recently I bought a dell i3 3542 laptop.But the graphic card in it is of 256mb .But they false promised it as 2GB.How should i proceed now?

    Sir,

    My computer has got damaged as it dropped from the table. It is under full accidental warranty so I called customer care and call is received by Ishmeet kaur and i told her that my laptop has got damaged by falling from the table. She registered my complaint (complaint no.[protected] and told me to send the pics of my dell laptop(showing the current status). today in the morning when i send them the pic after 20min i got the call from Ishmeet kaur and she told that the damages are not related to the complaint i have made them and when i again told her that it has got damaged in that way only then she transferred the call to her senior Raghu and again he told me the same that these damages are relevant and it is not damaged only by falling from the table.
    Then i told, how can i prove that it has got fallen from the table only. Then he just said sorry we are not going to replair your laptop part under warranty, i have to pay for the replacement. When i told him that i will go to the consumer court for this, then he told me that he is transferring his call to higher authority then his phone got cut. After 2 hr i got call from Ravindra(ph-[protected]) he told me that he is a head of dell technical support and wanted apology for not repairing my laptop and told me that they are not going to repair my laptop under warranty.

    I don't know how and what should i do for this sir. Please give me some solution asap sir as it's warranty is going to expire on 22nd of feb..

      I brought DELL XCD 35 mobile in Aug'11 from Vadodara worth INR 10,000. In Nov'12 screen problem came and 90% display gone( enclosed is photos for ref). I tried many times to get service support from DELL mobile's service center in Vadodara but they talked quite rudely and did not extend any support.


      Further, I contacted DELL India for there support on 18 Dec'12.and explained my problem through e-mail. After many reminders they reverted back asking for original invoice of my mobile on 26 Dec'12 assuring that DELL India will extend enough support to resolve display problem in soonest time.


      I submitted original Invoice on 4th Jan'13. On the very same got reply from DELL India that I need to submit DD of INR 1500 ( post warranty charges) @ DELL mobile's service center Vadodara and need to launch a complain and DELL India will replace my mobile with a fresh piece " ASAP".


      I immediately took action and submitted DD of INR 1500 on 10th Jan'13. Strange is that when I went to submit DD, DELL mobile's service center named "Accel Frontline Limited" said that we dont work for DELL India and asked to show mail confirmation from DELL India for launching complaint and replacing mobile. Very rude & insulting response from service center.


      After submitting DD on 10 Jan'13, I informed to DELL India team same and asked when I will get new replaced mobile for which I did not get any reply even though I sent many reminders.


      Finally DELL India team replied on 22 Jan'13 after 2 weeks almost asking complaint no which I provided on next day on which DELL India team replied after 2 days that they have stopped manufacturing DELL XCD 35 mobile and will not be able to replace alteast 20-25 days. If I count from 10 Jan then after 2 weeks after sending many reminders DELL India team is reverting this way.


      I am quite surprised to know that as per DELL India team ASAP means approx 1 month and MORE OVER WHEN DELL INDIA ASKED TO SUBMIT DD NO WHERE THEY MENTIONED / COMMUNICATED/ INFORMED THEY THEY HAVE STOPPED MANUFACTURING DELL XCD 35


      How a company like DELL can behave this way to their customers. This issue is forcing me to lose my faith on DELL and for sure from next time onwards I will think 10000 times before buying any DELL product.


      TILL NOW I DON HAVE ANY REPLY FROM DELL INDIA REGARDING MY CONCERN & PROBLEM RAISED ON 18 DEC'12 THROUGH E-MAILS WHICH I HAVE RAISED TILL MANAGERIAL LEVEL PERSONS IN DELL INDIA. I HAVE NEVER EXPECTED THIS TYPE OF AFTER SALES SERVICE FROM DELL ATLEAST.

      DELL IS NOT ADDRESSING CONCERN AT ALL NEITHER REPLYING FOR REMINDER MAILS.

      DELL INDIA — Forcing Warranty

      Dell provided a BIOS update on their support site for the Studio 1450. On running this update, the BIOS got wiped out and the system stopped working. On taking it to the Service Center I was told that the mother-board had to be replaced.

      Unfortunately, my system was out of warranty (by six months. It is 1.5 yrs old), so I was told that nothing could be done unless I forked up Rs 16K for a one-year warranty. On calling customer support, I was told that I could NOT order the motherboard, as it was not in stock, had to be ordered from Malayasia, etc. etc. However, if I extended my warranty at Rs. 15K, they would have it fixed within 2 weeks.

      Thieves! Not to mention the 2 hours wasted with deviously lying Customer Support.

      NO MORE DELL!!!

        last few days, i am socked that my mobile no-[protected] sent international sms([protected]) three or four time per day

        i think that the sms is sent by my dell handset.
        but as on date the sms was not stopped.

        I am very disapointed about your serrvice my dell AERO handset submit 1 and haif month but your company never give me my phone but in future i have never purchased DELL PRODUCT and i says my friend, famiy member and all persons never purchased DELL PRODUTS because they never give the service

          I bought dell vostro 1550 on 28.2.2012 from a dell re seller and i got 1 year warranty with that system. and according to dell support the warranty of my system is expired on their online portal and i have the invoice of 28-2-12 and dell is not providing me the warranty support for the same. and they are not taking any action my system`s power button is not working fine. and dell is not providing me the warranty support for the same. and dell is really a worst brand now a days.

              Dell has announced the launch of its 'Back2School' offer focusing on families and students preparing for the new school year. This is a Dell initiative in the direction of fulfilling its promise to offer the maximum value in education and entertainment. Under this offer, Dell has launched a new range of consumer desktop computers with specially designed Disney Pixar 'Cars 2' branding. While it has begun on the 24th of May and will last till the end of July, this offer is available on Dell Inspiron 560 and 580 Desktop models, the Inspiron All-in-One series and the XPS Desktops.

              Consumers who purchase the Inspiron 560 and 580 Desktop models during the offer period will receive a 'Back2School' gift collection of six 'Cars 2' stickers, the original Disney Pixar 'Cars' movie DVD and a limited edition 'Cars' widget CD containing an extensive range of 'Cars' wallpapers and videos. Consumers planning to purchase the Dell Inspiron All-in-One desktop or XPS desktops will get a 'Back2School' kit containing a Disney Pixar 'Cars 2' branded school bag, tiffin box, water bottle, notebook and pencil box. This is in addition to the 'Back2School' gift collection, which they would also get.

              Mr. P.               If dell wants to encourage students, the solution is to provide free demo software, specialized product with lower price to meet students requirement/budget. Maybe few lessons.
              Our kids are already loaded with tiffen box, bags, stickers, wallpapers, etc. This is the most stupid and insincere scheme I've come across.

                  Dell reported a 17% increase in its sales in its Indian operations in its fiscal third quarter. But this good performance in India, as also in China, was an exception for the world's third-largest maker of PCs. The company's net income fell 54% to $337 million, and its revenue fell 15% to $12.9 billion in the quarter.

                  Dell's over-dependence on the commercial segment has meant that it has lost market share worldwide to companies like HP and Acer. The consumer market revived faster which has helped these latter companies. Rise in the costs of components, such as memory and liquid-crystal displays, affected profit margins.

                  In India, Dell says it is now the No. 2 player, up from the No. 4 position at the beginning of last year. This could not be independently confirmed because in the first two quarters of this year, the company had slipped to the No. 3 position, behind HP and HCL.The company has been putting a lot of effort into its consumer offerings these past months.

                  Dell is now counting on a "major upgrade cycle" next year to spur worldwide demand. Steve Felice, the company's president for small and medium business who addressed reporters across Asia through a conference call on Friday, said that systems had become old and therefore large-scale replacements were inevitable soon. The launch of Windows 7 would also help, particularly in the consumer and small/home office segments, he said.

                  Felice indicated that some of the market share gains that companies like Lenovo and Acer had made was at the cost of margins. "At Dell, we are focusing on healthy profits and cash flows," he said.

                  "Perot is very good at application development, systems integration and BPO. They have 7,000 people in India. So India will become a big base for our international growth," Fellice said.

                    My laptop is down since 15 Dec 2012. After three services within 15 days the technicians were not able to resolve the issue. The issue was escalated and then I got a call from dell that they will replace the system. After one month of waiting now they are saying that we wont replace the system and you will get the service only. As per their service contract if 3 services are done within a month for the same issue the dell replaces the system.

                      i am dealing with some issue with my laptop.
                      1.getting electric shock from my lappy USB ports and upper body.
                      2.on my lappy screen there is a horizontal line which is visible at the extreme left hand side of the screen.
                      i called dell toll free number on 11th of jan 2013 and they replaced some of my parts but there are unable to resolve my issue.
                      now the are saying that your system is out off warranty.I dealing with this issue since july 2012 and every time they came with a different story.
                      few of there agent and senior person told me we will get back to you but i hav'nt received any call from there side.
                      pls do something for me .

                        Dell Team have changed almost all the parts but don't know why they are not providing me the original parts; LCD which they have replaced is not as earlier as it is now dull and yellowish in color. Now my laptop is not showing original colors as earlier. I had so may discussion with Dell the original lcd is reflective and glossy but the replaced LCD screen is non reflective and grayish in color. I have clicked some pictures as well which shows the clear difference in between

                        I really don't know what is going on but yes fed up with dell now, the Supervisor Mr. Naveen Kumar from Dell was saying if you are not happy then go to service center which is also takes 4-5 days....
                        I am holding the complete cover warranty which means they will come to my place and do the needful but still such kind of things dell is suggesting.

                        DELL — Service and Warranty cover

                        I've purchased my Laptop in the month of May'2008. Since purchase its giving me some or the other problem. I launched my first complain within one month of its purchase and I was provided services very promptly. It was regarding scratches on Bazzel and hinge cover which were replaced.

                        My second complaint was in the month of August. The problem was again of Bazzel and Hinge cover and secondly about 2 dead pixels on LCD. The service engineer came promptly but he just tighten up some screws below hinge cover and was told to me that cosmetics will not be covered (the same was told to me by Dell customer care on Phone) and the problem of LCD will be solved only when there will be more than 5 dead pixels. I was not satisfied by service and Dell's reply and I put up a remark on his service card dated 11th of August 2008, to which no response is given to me till date.

                        Recntly I launched my third complaint i.e. regarding 1) More than 5 dead pixels now. Also some part of LCD flickers in straight line some times specially on booting. 2) I am having a crack in right corner near the express card slot. This crack is probably due to service engineer who came for services tightened the screw below it too tightly, it was unnoticable initially but now its increasing. 3) The scratches on bezzel are also increasing because it moves in contact with hinge cover while opening and closing LCD flap. 4) LCD is getting harder and harder day by day to open and close. The movement is not free and its difficult to open and close LCD flap.
                        My lan card is not working properly and my new brodband connection is also not connecting

                        Dell Computers — No response for part quotation

                        I have a Dell Laptop Latitude D630, with 2 years extended warranty. The hinge connecting the main body and the LCD is broken. I have been asking the Dell Customer care people to mail be the quotation of the LCD cover and hinges as I know that the parts are not covered under the warranty. It has been almost 45 days since 5th May from my first request for the quotation and till date I have not received the quotation for the same. When I call the Dell Customer care, I have been directed to different department. I need to take a stern action against Dell which is zero in customer service. I need a guidance on how to take this matter further.

                          My laptop used to shut down automatically due to over heating. I had shown my laptop to a Dell authorized seller(www.pctech.co.in) who was charging me a lot for rectifying the problem. I didn't get the laptop fixed from them because of which I had some argument with the person there.
                          On showing the system to another person for repair, I got to know that pctech technician has drilled holes in the heat sink..!! He even showed me the part with the 3 holes in it.
                          I am really really disappointed by this unprofessional attitude of a DELL AUTHORIZED SELLER. I am not able to get the heat sink anywhere now, because of which my business has really suffered. This was just not expected of a company outlet of DELL.

                            My Self Ashish Chaudhary. I had purchase A new Brand Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop @ of Rs.35000/- a month ago and with it I got one year site warranty and one year gaurantee. Today when my Adapter Is not Working I compalin at dell tollfree number at [protected] . I had talk to Mr.Shubham. I help him in troubleshooting. after a long period of talk he abused me and said we cant help you out and don't ever try to call again here.

                            this is a way that dell customer care is talking to their clients.

                              I purchased a Dell Inspiron N5110 from Chroma showroom , Mumbai on July 2012 and it is under warranty cover of one year up to Jul 2013.Within six months of purchase its hard disc,web cam,display cable damaged and replaced with refurbished parts.Now the web cam is still not working,Dell support centre was saying that the mother board is also need to be replaced.They sent a refurbished motherboard but the part they sent is also damaged.Now the problem is not solved.My laptop is not working properly.Now I want my laptop to be replaced because it is faulty one.

                                im filling this complaint against DELL international firm as i had purchased a laptop a year and a half ago and i had my cover lid which came along my laptop damaged . i did complain about the matter several times to the customer care of the company but to no response . They kept on ignoring the complaints and asking me to complete further tasks such as sending them the pictures of the damaged part .I did as they asked me to. I further kept on calling on other days and they kept on saying our other representative would call you as the matter is with him .They didnt call and if they did once or so i asked them to call on my non working hours but recieved no calls . then i called again but to same response that our representative would call you tomorrow and discuss the matter with you . i told that im busy and cannot call you everyday and could only get the work done in my non working days . sir kindly look into the matter and take appropriate actions as they have been harassing me as what use is of the customer care to customers if they cannot listen and respond to our problems regarding the product.

                                  I have ordered a Dell Laptop online; I have been contacted over phone by Dell representative. He told me to make payment through credit card (which I did) and he further conveyed me that laptop will be delivered to you within 20 working days. I have placed my order (money has also been deduced on the same day) on 19/Nov/2007. I have been issued a order no.[protected] and a customer code (292493). The tentative date of delivery was 10/Dec/2007. Now I have not received anything (on 10/Dec/2007). When I tried to contact Dell. their representative told me that It will take another 10 days, they don't know what to do and asked me that how I want my case to be proceeded. The ordered Laptop was in Delhi(after being send from Malaysia ),custom duty has been paid and now dell Delhi branch require some papers from Bangalore branch. Dell representatives are not sure about what documents are required, they even don't know how to handle my case. I am in very confused, I have made payments and product was not delivered to me. Moreover Dell told me that If I cancel this order it will take another 20 Days for refund and that too after deductions. Kindly look into this matter.

                                    i purchased a all in one inspiron one 19 desktop from dell in september 2010. it came with three year onsite warranty. since august 2012 it started giving problem to which the company attended but the break down became so frequent that i had to register complaint almost daily and it became totally impossible to use the system. so i demanded that they should replace the system to which they agreed but later on they put one condition that "i will have to provide them with road permit. i tried to get the road permit but in the process i came to know that it is not possible to get road permit by an individual for isolated one item. so i informed them regarding this and requested them to deliver the system through their dealer in patna and i will bear the cost for the amount they spend on road permit. they rejected the demand and suggested that i should receive the system in some other state where road permit is not required. so gave an address of delhi but then they put another demand that i will have to give road permit for the pickup of the old system. then i requested them to make the system functional some because it was not possible for me to get the road permit. they tried to service it but could not make it functional. then informed me that they will replace the system as they are unable to fix the problem , at that time i told them about the problem i had faced earlier in getting the road permit. i also told the supervisor clearly that i wont be able to provide the road permit as i have already tried for two months earlier, in reply he said don't worry this time we will not trouble you. but again they are again asking me for road permit.
                                    so now i think they are trying to linger the issue till the expiry of the warranty. warranty is expiring in sept.2013. i am hopeful you will help. regards

                                    DELL — having problem again

                                    I have been going through the same harassment.
                                    I purchased Dell Inspiron 15R about 2 weeks back from Gurgaon and came back to Ranchi the other day.
                                    Soon I realized that the laptop has poor battery backup, poor functioning touch pad and with electric vibration on its surface.
                                    I sent a mail to Dell Support but received no reply. Then I called up their help line and after two days they offered to replace the system.
                                    I further waited for 5 days but didn't receive any call further. I again reminded them and finally received a call from dell representative dealing my case.
                                    As the representative heard I am at Jharkhand he asked to get a road permit made for the pickup and delivery. This is rubbish.
                                    Why should I at all be liable to pay this if it is anyways required? This is more of a botheration than a service from the side of Dell.

                                    May I please know what has happened finally to your case?

                                    Can consumer complain forum help me out in my issue too?
                                    The case in brief is as below:
                                    - I purchased this laptop on 26th June evening from Gurgaon and left to Ranchi, Jharkhand on 27th.
                                    - Later I came across 3 issues in the laptop, the poor battery, electrical vibrations on the surface and poor touch pad functioning.
                                    - I contacted Dell through mail they didn't reply. Then called up their customer care and they offered the system replacement.
                                    - I waited further for 5 days but didn't receive any conversation from their end. I called them again and the person dealing my replacement case responded me finally. He asked me to visit local sales tax office for the some road permit which should be 5% of the purchase value.
                                    - As an alternative he asked to get the replacement done from Delhi, or Haryana if I don't wish to pay for the aforesaid charges.
                                    - As the other alternative, go for the part replacement, which is really rubbish for a brand new piece.

                                    Paying 5% (about 2500/- ) would be really painful and not acceptable to me.
                                    I should not be liable to go for all such formalities taking a leave from office.
                                    Are they serving to their clients or harassing them?

                                    Sir, I would be grateful to you if something can be done in this regard.

In regarding my dell labtop that should still be under warrant the gentlemen said it expired in 2010. And the finance lady agreed it was paid and then I was disconected. The lady I spoke with promised to fix my warranty issue she said for.the misunderstanding regarding Sony labtop [protected]. Fchkbh1
                                      My daughter needs this for school if you could posse ship my a new unit I will send this one back. After my daughters wi u getting stolen out of my moms car I need a Christmas Nora me merry Christmas my warranty was supposed to be good till 2014 that's why I'm confused we paid for I but than you for compensating.

                                      DELL — Promises free Windows 7 upgrade

                                      I had purchased a Dell studio laptop last year in the month of July, 2009. While purchasing there was a scheme that when Microsoft will release Windows 7 at the end of the year Dell will provide a free upgrade to its customer for the model.
                                      As per promise i had registered and was sent an upgrade CD in the month of December,2009. I was scared initially to upgrade as i thought i will lose my data from the system when in the month of April, 2010 i took backup of the whole system and tried upgrading it dint upgrade.
                                      I tried contacting there customer care through mail they r saying the scheme was available only till January 31, 2010. Whereas there was no where mentioned in the cd pack nor did i receive any mail from dell about the expiry now when i am asking them to provide me some senior regional marketing head they are asking me to find by myself also that i have not updated my mail id to them whereas i had provided all my details while purchasing. Rather they r asking me now to purchase the Windows 7 cd from them which is start marketing strategy by them to fool customer.

                                      I wish i had never bought Dell laptop as they cheat people by lying some stupid schemes.
                                      I'm collecting donations I cent to any one who wants to help to baby have a Wii u she's six and he's th reethat was stollen out of grandmas car 1centsent to paypal.
