I would like to bring to your notice my greviance regarding my purchase of faber chimney from cloudtail india through amazon. Kindly see the attached
Purchase details.
The faber chimney was installed on 15 th july through toll free booking. Though the package was apparently in good condition, the chimney made much noise and one of the led bulb was not working.
The service person advised me to lodge a complaint via toll free because only after that any service could be done. If any major problem is found the company would totally replace the product only if the chimney is opened for service after toll free complaint booking. Also he registered in his installation report about both the complaints.
After booking in toll free a second service person came and checked the chimney. Due to damage in some parts of motor, he dismantle the motor and took it for replacement. Also told that led bulb would be fixed along with motor installation.
During third visit, the third service person came and fixed the motor but he was unaware of the fused led bulb and that was not replaced.
Every time i lodge a booking for service in toll free i had been telling that the led bulb was not working on the day of installation itself. Moreover the person who installed the chimney also registered that complaint in his installation report.
Then, after so many calls to the service centre located at salem and booking in toll free, a fourth service person came on 23.08.2017. Alas!!! He was not given instructions about the fused led bulb and he came for service without a spare bulb. He promised me that he would definitely take care of complaint and he would definitely fix the bulb the next day.
On 24.08.2017 i received a call from service centre in charge. He said that he could not exchange the led bulb free of cost and i had to pay 200 rs towards the cost of led bulb. He told me bulb does not come under warranty.
My grievance is that after so many days of continuous phone calls and toll free complaint booking, the service incharge is telling me that the led bulb does not come under warranty and it can't be fixed free of cost.
If at all they had told me on the day of installation itself, i would have asked for exchange of that motor damaged fused bulb chimney, or would have returned the chimney unit through amazon.
I am sorry to convey that i am not satisfied with the purchase of faber chimney and am in mental agony and stressed a lot due to unfixed problems inspite of repeated toll free complaints and repeated phone calls to service centre in salem.
I really don't understand in what way i am responsible for the fused bulb and how can i pay for the replacement of fused bulb which was not working on the time of installation itself.
I really dont understand the warranty replacement policy. Even for an ordinary cfl and led bulbs we buy in stores or online, we are getting 1 to 2 years warranty. For a branded chimney, which is topmost selling product led bulbs not under warranty is a real pity.
Finally, after so much of mental stress, i request you to kindly look into this matter and do the needful for free replacement of fused led bulb.
