I am a regular seller and a buyer on flipkart. And i have observed flipkart from both perspective. Here is what i have discovered so far:
Flipkart mostly concentrate on big sellers, therefore any issue faced by single customer or seller will not be taken seriously. And they can go against their own policies. For instance, sellers are not allowed to increase prices 30days prior to big billion sale. But their main sellers can increase prices even while the sale is running. Therefore fooling customers by selling the final product for the same price and calling it discounted.
A big serious corruption: the field executives/ delivery guys are the major culprits for both sellers and buyers. As a buyer i received some different products instead of what i have ordered, and sometimes missing accessories. And i thought this was sellers fault.
But when i become a seller myself on flipkart, i started receiving products as "courier returns" which means, when a customer cancels the order before delivery. And got shocked to see fake items inside the box! The product never reached customer, then who replaced the original product with the fake? The courier guys! Who replaces the products on the way, both for delivery and returns.
So, flipkart is not at all a trusted place to shop or sell. Better stay away from doing business or ordering expensive items from there.

Guess what!!! its 28th Sep today unless Flip kart uses some other calender
Had to follow up with you guys again today and as usual the same old dialogues "We apologize for the inconvenience", "We are escalating this on your behalf and you will get a resolution within 24 -48 hours"
Its Actually funny how you guys are still in business
Also, hire a few managers as the managers are always to busy to take a call or to lazy to call back even when a Manager call back is requested
I need a confirmation that my shipment will be delivered on 30th Sep or 1st Oct 2017 as promised or else Flip Kart will loose a lot on Money on account of the case i file on you for neglegance, harrasment and money loss to me tommorrow
