I have given the request to the flipkart customer care by e-mail as well as on toll free number that, my number which is registered with the flipkart is no longer with me as it was deactivated by the service provider, so please change my mobile ********3804 to *******6260 with my photo id proof.
Now on 1st July someone called me from the Flipkart to verify the details and then he has asked me for the orders details which was more then 1000 Rs. and the address of the products where it was delivered. I have given him the correct information and then he asked me to put my call on hold for sometimes. When he unhold the call he informed me that my number has been changed successfully and now I have to verify the number by login in flipkart on desktop or laptop only. To complete verification I have to go to "www.flipkart.com" and then click on login button and then click on request for the OTP button and then you have to provide the OTP and then your number will be verified.
I have done the same thigs as per his instruction but the number was not changed. So I have contact the customer care straight away informed them that my number has not been changed. So one of their customer support executive have informed me that due to technical issue my number has not been changed. Please wait for sometime they will do again.
Now on 2nd of July I had call from the flipkart and the lady has informed me that the new number I have given to them *****6260 is already registered on flipkart on 1st July so they are not able to change my number. I mean this is ridiculous, because of their mistake I am suffering. That lady has asked me that I have to give one more number which should not been registered on flipkart. Like it blows my mind like to change my number I have to buy one more number. I have explained that I can not buy one more number so she said they are not able to do anything. I have told her why should I suffer because of their customer support executive.
And main issue is, like they are not able to change my number or delete an account and now I am not using ******804 number anymore and after sometime the service provider will allot this to some new user. Now if he will try to sign up on flipkart with my old number which is *******804 (wright now this is his new number) he will got the notification that the number is already registered with the flipkart, so what he will do, he will try to login with number and then flipkart will ask him for password which do not know, so what he will do, he will click on the forgot password and then flipkart will sent the OTP on the same number, so when new user will get the OTP then he will defiantly login to the account but ultimately he is logged to my flipkart account and he will gate my all details like my address, my registered bank details and all. Which is risky for me. And this thing can happen to anyone.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
