I ordered a Micromax canvas 2 plus product and received on 17th Dec. The product is in locked state. First page in the mobile asked me for gmail credentials and I provided them and it says Verify your account. the message is as follows
"This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device" . This confirms that the product had been used by someone else and they locked it.
sameday, I intimated the same to flipkart and asked for replacement. Technician came and looked at the product and he couldn't do anything since it was locked. and he reported something( as damage - I didn't understand why he kept it as damage) and the replacement got rejected and it happened twice and second time he kept something else, related to software (same technician had been sent both times - why different reports?).
I got so many calls from flipkart customer care, I hoped that they would resolve the problem. They showed, as if they were trying to resolve the issue throughout those conversations, but nothing they did which was a huge time waste for me. At the end Flipkart denied the replacement of the product and told me to contact the authorized service center to format the mobile and said the seller can't replace the item.
"I looked at flipkart and bought this product and not at its sellers". I felt Flipkart is more of "seller's centric" and least bothered about their customer(me) that is what I learnt from this horrible experience.
I never returned a product in my past history, they didn't understand a genuine concern of this kind from customers end.
points to note-
Customer care personnel recommended me to take it to the authorized service center
Why should I take it to the authorized center to format it?
My expectation is, it should work when I order a product from flipkart(I trusted flipkart and bought it).
Why is it not working and why it is asking for old credentials?
I feel, It's a second-hand phone. why because it was asking for some old user credentials, which are not mine.
Conversations with Customer care and technician's visit:
It's a huge time waste and created mental tension(many call conversations with customer care, but no resolution).
My no. has been blocked by flipkart. I was reaching them. automated voice message is telling, I will receive the call in 10min. I am not receiving any call from Flipkart.
I need immediate resolution on this front
