I was using hathway broadband since 2017 and due to their pathetic service i had to discontinue the service and moved to another service provider since last 8 months. From the day i discontinued hathway i have been getting 10-15 calls everyday from hathway asking to recharge, reason for discontinued etc. I have explained the details many times and they have assured me to remove by number from thier database. Nowadays the situation is evenmore worst and getting frequent calls which is really disturbing. Even while sleeping they are calling and torturing. Can you please help to get rid of getting calls from hathway?
I am ready to move legally if there is no other way to stop this. I am in a situation where i am ready to change my number due to hathway torture

    I was using Hathway Internet last year in Mumbai. I was staying in a rented apartment. So before moving out, I had requested hathway to close the connection and collect their device they had installed. They didn't care to do so. I left the apartment in a month and didn't carry the device along with me. Now after so many times discussing this same story on call, I have received a mail for legal action is which is,

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    This has reference to the Customer Registration Form (CRF) signed by you and Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd (herein after referred to as ‘Hathway’) for availing broadband services of Hathway in your premises as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the said CRF.

    Name - KARAN PAL

    You are aware that the CRF is a valid contract having a binding effect on both the parties having a legal sanctity with all consequential mutual rights and obligations inter se.

    In respect of the same, we draw your attention to the paragraph L of CRF titled Customer Declaration which is reproduced herein as under:

    “I also understand that the modem and router supplied by the company is owned by the company and I shall be liable to return it in good and working condition upon termination of network or as and when sought by the company. In case of failure to return the modem or router or if it is return in nonworking condition, I am liable to pay the applicable amount of modem/router to the company in lieu of such damaged/unreturned router/modem under my possession. ”

    Kindly take note that inspite of being bound by the terms of the CRF in apparent defiance of the same to our utmost concern we find from our records that you have failed to return the following equipment despite discontinuation of your broadband services:

    · Modem / Router

    It may be noted that withholding the possession of the aforesaid assets even after the discontinuation of services is illegal and consequentially, you have exposed yourself to the legal action under the relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code, 1860 including but not limited to Criminal Breach of Trust, Misappropriation of property and other relevant provisions read with Criminal Procedure Code, 1973.

    You are therefore called upon to immediately handover the above listed items to our authorised representative under acknowledgement of receipt of the same.

    Should you fail to comply with the aforesaid long pending formality/handover the equipment’s within 15 days from date of receipt of this Notice, we shall be constrained to explore legal remedies to safeguard our interest at your risk as to costs and consequences thereof.

    If you have already handed over the Modem/Router and/or complied with other formalities related thereto you are requested to kindly furnish the proof thereof.

      Hi, i'm frm hyd

      I called to hathway customer for renewal of bill payment. I asked him about limited plan for 6 months. He advised me to pay bill amount of rs 2174 for 220gb/mo upto 6months. So i paid the amount online. It is showing me as 3months package with unlimited.
      Again i called to cust. Care now they are telling to pay 2700 for 6 months plan

        I have made payment of rs.10, 500 on 22 october 2019. A guy named hardik promised me that a technical team will come and install fiber connection and give you a router.

        I called customer care and open tickets dozens of times but within 24 hour my ticket has been closed, i don’t know why?

        This is unbelievable!

        Please provide me router as you promised!
        And also upgrade to fiber connection!

        I can’t even imagine that you guys can do something like this with me, i have paid rs.10, 500 on 22 october 2019 and it’s about a month but no one came to my home to install fibre connection or even at least give me a router.

        This is the last time i am requesting you to provide me router and install fibre connection otherwise i will file a case.

          Hi Team,

          i am from hyderabad using broadband internet over 16 months from last 6 months i'm frequently disconnecting internet i decide to close my account but hathway marketing team calls daily so i keep my connection this month november i paid bill on 11th from last friday i got slow internet speed from saturday on no internet service i called customer care on saturday afternoon they said in 24 hours my issue solve again i called sunday they told wait for evening it will come no issue solved on monday on when i called customer care they saying refundable not possible as well they can't provide service told wait another 12 hours now monday night 8.30 pm around i called customer care same answer we can't refund your amount wait for tuesday your issue will sort it out i tried to close my account on sunday one lady called me and rudely told you can't get refund hand over oue modem i asked what about my money she told we can't refund use service untill next bill later close account but i am not getting any service customer care guy nikhil he answering my calls and disconnecting me or put me on hold please look this issue do fair justice asap

            I have been getting calls and messages since last six moths after disconnecting my connection. I have told them thousand times that i am no more using the internet connection. Even i submitted the router and disconnected my account. Still they are calling me everyday. Sometimes they even call me after office hours. My account account number is [protected].

            One of my friend is also facing the same problem. Why do they call even after telling them not to call. Its irritating and harassing. Please dont even take hathway connection. They will harass you if you discontinue with their services.

              I am getting regular calls on my personal number from hathway to start a renew connection from unknown numbers. It is extremely annoying even the telemarketers are disturbing at the busy time. They are wasting my time and causing mental stress. I will raise a police complaint for the mental trouble they keep giving me, if this is not resolved.
              They keep calling from different numbers. There is no true identity as who is calling. I don't think someone could just like that call my personal number. It's punishable offence as they keep calling even if i requested them to stop. I have the recording of every call until now. I have enough evidence to lodge a

Receiving unwanted SMS from Hathway to take connection for extra data and all. Stop Harassing me. I told via mail and customer care people to stop that But still I'm receiving them.                 You people first concentrate on providing proper service not annoying messages every day. I have called several times not to send sms and is very frustrating.
                I have every evidence that customer care person promised me many times that they put my number in dnd. But still i am getting sms every day.

                I will have to file case if you still hold my account details and send sms again. Mind it.

                    This month november 3rd 2019 my 3 month subscription is over like every in 3 month when my subscription renewals date coming nearer hathway customer care executive called me continuously from oct 30 2019 - nov 2 2019 for reminders that nov 3 2019 is my renewal date so on nov 2 2019 i spoke with customercare executive and explain her that i am relocating to some other place and asked her is that area is your service is there for not and she replies that yes in that area our service is there you can go ahead and do renewals your subscription, but when i requested for relocation then i know that the area i i relocate now in that area hathway service is not there. And for 7 days i used the internet and i pay around rs.3182. Now customer care executive told for prepaid renewals no refunds. So this is a clear proof of cheating.

                      I recently got a message from hathaway to submit the modem to avoid legal proceedings. Though i have already told the hathaway customer care that i lost my modem while relocation and would not be able to comply with their request. I asked them to relocate my account to the new place but said that it can't be done as there is no connection. So i asked them to close my connection many a times. But they haven't complied with request. Now out of the blue i got this intimidating message. What sort of service is this?

                        I am facing the same issue from hathway. I was using the prepaid connection 1years back, later i changed my house loaction and stopped hathway connection informing conserned peoples as well paying all outstanding bills

                        Now, after 1 year they send me sms saying 'legal action will be taken as you have not submitted modem'.

                        This is clear case of harrashment and iooks like their business is dying due to their poor services.

                        I believe its a time to pull them in consumer court as well as find seperate defamation case against hathway.

                          I have closed my account since a year and still i am receiving messages very day, with the new offers. I also left the state where i had this broadband connection. Hathway does not even have their services in the state where i am residing currently. I have informed them so many times. But still i am receiving so many calls and messages everyday which is so annoying.

                            I requested for a new connection and agent said we provide connection as soon as you pay the plan amount, i paid within an hour and next day i received msg that connection cannot be given as service is not available in my area.
                            Again we contacted one more agent and he too took the payment online and payment was through upi and later he said upi is not acceptable.
                            Two payments struck with hathway almost 6k
                            We tried to contact agents and customers service also sent emails
                            No one is telling us about the refund they simply playing around.
                            “we give connection, we will check, we will visit, we will give refund “ these things are heard every time we call. Such a worst and useless experience ever.

                              I have requested for my hathway broadband relocation on 1/10/2019 which was supposed to happen on or before 3rd sine i was vacating that house on 3rd, abut i got a response on 3rd on 3rd only, and they were not able to visit the house on that day itself so they requested me to uninstall myself and they promised that they will come for installation next day. It has been 11 days and no one reached out from that team. Everyday i'm getting call from hathway to know the reason why i haven't paid the net bill, and i have explained them each and every time regarding the relocation and i have mentioned them that only installation have to be done. They will gather my new location details and promise that someone will reach out to, but no one will call. I have spoke to around 10 agents but only 4 tickets were created and all of them were closed without any reason.in between i have got two calls from field agents requesting for my current location and their answer will be same "we are from different location, the tickets has been routed wrongly and we will route it to the correct area". But i don't receive a single call after that. I have been frustrated with this service, i have been frustrated saying the same thing and repairing my address and issue word by word everyday and without any result. I want to cancel my account ([protected]) and get my security deposit refunded.

                                  My mobile number [protected] had hatway connection and had cancelled the connection 1 yr back. I get daily 3 to 4 calls and is a nuisance. I am 60 yr old and am not able to bear thia torture. While i have blocked the numbers i get call from a new number daily. Not sure what else should be done and hence reaching out and raising a grievance which i hope will be resolved.

                                    I wanted to renew my plan hence called gtpl customer care and i was told that i will be contacted within 24 hours. 2 days passed but yet no one responded. I tried calling them again still the same.
                                    Then i moved forward and renewed my plan online from their official website.
                                    My money was debited yet my plan was not renewed.
                                    I again tried contacting them describing the issue. They said we don’t see any such request and told me to wait further. Still there is no response yet. And their customer care people are soo rude and mannerless

                                    I have been complaining since 3 days but i dint got any positive response from GTPL.
                                    My interest is not working since past few days.
                                    Every time when i call in customer care they consider the complain at that movement and and after some hours they cancel the request.
                                    This happened twice.
                                    I just want them to send a person and fix the issue.
                                    In Jamnagar, Gujarat, GTPL service provider doesn't support online recharge, on every 1st of month manual recharge process to be done, and no support for selection of channel. we have to choose the pre approved plan which is very higher side

                                      Daily I am getting calls & messages from Hathway for the new connection. almost I am getting 4-5 calls & SMS a day.

                                      Please remove my number from your Hathway database.

                                        I am a hathway since over 8 months. At the time of renewal i have received so... Many calls and one of the employees of hathway shreya done the payment process and had also told that at anytime feel free to call for any concern... Now since a month over i have been calling her and many others regarding network connection issue and router issue... But very sorry to say that not only shreya... No other responded till now. Please look into the issue and avoid such irresponsible candidates which would rather ruin the name and fame of whole broadband... No one expects such a horrible and pathetic experience.
