Took a prepaid connection for 3 months in first week of October 2019. Since then, connection has been slow, full of downtimes and outage. In Nov last week, a long duration outage started. During this time, I kept calling customer care and they said at various points - "it will be resolved in 2 hours", then"It will be resolved in 3 hours", then "it will be resolved in 6 hours", then "it will be resolved in 24 hours", "entire bangalore is down and we have no ETA" and so on. This charade went on for more than a week. During the time from Nov last week to december, we placed more than 20 calls where resolution was not provided. After which we disconnected our services due to non-providing of services.
At the time of disconnecting services, we clarified multiple times that we would receive refunds for the time of service outage and duration of prepaid left (25 November to December 2019). We were told we would receive a callback in 24 hours. Then after 24 hours, we were told it would happen in 48 hours. Then we were told it would happen in 15 days. I still haven't received my refund.
I have multiple agents saying on call (recorded) that refund would be provided after 24 hours, then 48 hours, then 15 days. Everytime I call, they say we will call you back. Then somebody calls from technical assistance, and on asking them about refund, they say they are not in charge of billing or refund and disconnect
So basically,
1. we were not able to make use of internet services due to non-providing of services for long duration of time
2. Absolutely no resolution of service complaints over the course of 20-30 calls made
3. We were told we would be provided refund when we placed disconnection request. Multiple times this was told and we have that on record
4. Ruining all norms of legality, Hathway is now refusing to provide us our refund and has illegally held on to our money in spite of not providing services
Hathway customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
I have tried several ways to solve it but it's not working and when the technicians come to solve it the says it is solved but the next day problem is same
