I used hathway broadband prepaid connection few months back.
Recently, i shifted my home location & i wrote a mail to hathway team to close my connection & take the modem back. But they did not reply & did not take the modem for last 3 months. Now they are sending me a legal notice regarding the non submission of modem. I shared them my new residence location/ contact details to collect the modem. But they are not responding.

Can you please help me on this?

    Hi,

    I have recently opted for hathway connection (My biggest mistake) and made a payment for 12 months (Second biggest mistake). The executive during the installation had assured us that the new location (I had told him the location) that we are shifting has hathway coverage. Now the company are telling it's not available. It has only been one month. My 11 months will be wasted. They are not issuing any refund not returning my calls not taking any action on any complaints.

    They had called that they will issue a refund for this.I told them to send a mail confirmation.
    Its been 1 week they havent sent mail confirmation.Customer care executives have stopped responding.
    Kindly do the needful.

      Hi,

      It is to inform you that on[protected] i reactivated my hathway connection pack of rs.2300 for 4 months but till now the connection is not started from your side.

      At the time of reactivation your team do many calls asking for renewal and when the payment is already done your team is showing such a pathetic response. This is really ridiculous you people only bother about money. Once money is paid you are not sticked to your words.

      We customers do not have much time to type a query everytime but this time you people compelled me to do so..

      Its better if you activate my account within an hour else i have to take some other options...

        Dear sir,
        I have raised complaint at customer care at 20th aug but that i closed at 27th aug without providing service, after discussion with customer care again complaint raised at 27th aug,.
        I am taking follow-up from 20th aug but nobody called me nor contact by hathaway till date.
        I did contact with mumbai, pune hathaway customer care & with managers but responses not got me.
        Hathway cable datacom had taken prepaid payment by me ₹2367/- at july 8th 2018 for 3 month in advance, but service not given as per commitment.
        This type of incident was getting from 9 month frequently. I was always raising complaint when the service got breakdown & hathaway engineer was resolving issues after 5~7 days of complaint. I always called to customer care to resolve that type of issue in minimum time but they always saying your complaint will resolve tomorrow 12pm, but actually that was not resolving at given time & day every time.
        I was spending my 30 to 40 minutes time for complaint raising, because hathaway system is taking more time to register complaint and to check customer care connectivity issue every break down & follow-up. I was lossed my working time 30 to 40 minutes every call.
        Due to hathaway broad band network unavailability my loss had happened ₹1500/day (Due to non availability of broad band connectivity by hathway only). Average loss is happened from 20th aug 2018 ₹45000/- for 30days.
        After one month hathaway engineer verbal saying me hathaway ie working on that your refund will get return to you if hathaway could not connect cable. This is not acceptable to me after one month of connectivity loss.
        I hope trai will get me justice & loss recover by hathaway.
        Pl. Kindly get me justice.

          I left bangalore 5 months back. Like a good man, i wanted to return hathway’s modem as i was disconnecting and get a refund. I tried to contact customer care umpteen times and every time they booked a person, no one came to my house to pick it up. After leaving, i received hundreds of calls with offers and new plans for me. Today i received a notice from them for not returning the modem. Also what i believed was that it was something i had purchased so why i am bound by a contact to return something i had purchased. I want to sue this company for harassing me.

            I have also visited hathway service center, but they say they dont have the data available. But i have all the necessary documents regarding the refund. Its been 2 years now.

              Hi,

              I had an hathway account number 1601802 in 2015 which was disconnected in the year 2016 as i moved away from that location after my last payment done in july 2016. At the time of installation i had used my own modem and not asked for a hathway modem hence during disconnection i had no dues remaining with hathway. I still received calls from customer care saying i needed to return the modem which i had not acquired in the first place because i had my own modem. This fact was communicated to them via telephone as well.

              Now after about two years i receive messages from hathway that a legal notice has been sent to me that for an account number that is not mine (A/c number: [protected]) because i did not return the modem. This is utterly disappointing and should be considered harassment from hathway as i have had to put up with harrassing calls about starting the service again again for almost 2 years and now when i did not start the service i receive a notice for returning something that i did not have in the first place. I do not possess their modem.

              As mentioned in the sms i haven't received any physical or electronic legal notice from hathway which is a legal requirement, if any further action is taken on this matter without me actually receiving the notice should be considered illegal.

                Due to failure to surrender hathway internet modem, legal notice has been sent to user parimalrvaishnav. Plz deposit the modem for ur hathway a/c no.[protected] to nearby branch to avoid further legal action. For any query cont [protected], [protected]
                The above messages received repeatedly. I have stopped their prepaid services since more than yeah. And to the best of my knowledge their local technician had come and has collected mofem stating it is their property send was given as i had opted for their services. Nothing was given by him stating request or receipt for same. I am sr. Citizen age 69 years under going trauma for no reason. Their reply came collected neither any letter to submit modem or a recpt of collection was given

                  Hathway internet conection speed problem my id is [protected] my plan is men bb2 50mbps unlimited pre qtrly but i am getting speed after 1 hour in kpbs already give a complaint 3 times in a week but no response from technicians or customer care worst connection when i have very important work like online submission so much problemi want to resolve this problem from hathway plezz i am tired to give a complaints to call again again & again customercare
                  One thing i just shocked with out any technical support from hathway, i got a message (Your request for cc men l2 with service id 15092018w304345-1 has been resolved as per our record)
                  Hathway playing with customers when we disconnect from netwrk so many calls come from customer, now no one response
                  Waste speed connection. Automatically speed decreased now i m gettin 5 mbps instead of 50 mbps ha haaaa after some time in kpbs its amazing

                    I was looking for hathway broadband and i spoke to a call center person sindhu ([protected]), she referred me to line person (Raju [protected]), i informed my location and lane he said to pay the amount which i paid inr 2300 for 3 months pack. Later raju informed that hatchway connection line is not in my lane. So i was expecting refund they said it will be done in 15 days. I called many times but no answer from raju and also customer care every time they say 15 days and 15 days.

                    I am fed up with this i want to go with different company. I need internet service for commercial purpose. This people are not letting me know what is going on. Please find the screen shot of the payment attached.

                      I used hathway internet 2 years back which is a prepaid connection. I requested to disconnect the service while i shifted from noida to chennai in may 2016. I had called their executive to disconnect the service and collect the modem. The executive came and collected the modem also. However i keep on receiving bills for the next 2 months over email, by this time they had changed the connection to postpaid from pre-paid without my consent. Today after almost 2 years i receive the below sms.

                      Legal notice has been sent to user xxxxxxxxx for hathway broadband a/c no.[protected] plz pay immediately r.1136.16 to avoid further legal action. For any query cont legal team [protected], [protected]

                      Why should i pay the amount if i had not used the service at all. I had
                      Requested to stop the service and it was the failure of hathway support and hathway send the legal notice to me now?. I am not ready to pay amount as i had not used the service. This seems to be fraud as many people have posted similar complaints on various forums. Its high time some action to be taken here

                        I am using hathway broadband internet connection of 40 mbps speed wifi.
                        I am not even getting a speed of 4 mbps, eventhough i did not use even one gb wifi of my 200GB FUP limit. I tried calling Hathway support, but they did not take any action, Instead they behaved wrongly for which I am raising the complaint now.
                        The plan which I paid payment is of 40 Gb, in that I should atleast get a 20+ mbps speed, but I am getting 2mbps speed and I am not able to perform my works due to worst internet speed.

                          My daughter had subscribed to a Hathway broadband connection which I disconnected due to connectivity issues. Though all amounts due have been paid, they began sending an SMS stating they would institute legal proceedings of the modem wasn't returned...
                          Due to failure to surrender Hathway Internet MODEM, Legal notice has been sent to user RISHIYAPALKHIWALA. Plz deposit the MODEM for ur Hathway A/c No.[protected] to nearby Branch to avoid further Legal action. For any query cont [protected], [protected]
                          As far as I know they charge for the modem when they start the connection. Anyway, we have been trying to get in touch with the numbers listed as their legal team and these are either numbers that don't exist/spam numbers/ call girl numbers. I suggest that Hathway stop harassing is consumers in this manner. If they require something from the consumer, their lines of communication should remain open for a consumer response.

                            Hi,

                            Hathway ac - 1652918, i had terminated broadband connection since april 2017 (1.5 years back). Also paid the pending balance & submitted all the aparatus provided by hathway. However today i received an sms from hathway, mentioning a legal notice to submit the apparatus has been filed to submit the modem. This is ridiculous.

                            Also the ac no mentioned is wrong.in that sms. So is this some kind of sloppy joke by hathway?

                            If i get such mails/sms once again, i will myself file a case in consumer court against you...

                              Dear sir,

                              We have made the rs.2655 payment to hathway for a new connection on 23 july 2018. After one week we got the information that line is not available in our area. Now we wants the refund of the rs.2655. On 30 july 2018, we went to hathway office which is located in indore. The accounts department is saying the amount will be refund after 45 days. No amount has been credited or received to us. Again today on 20 sep 2018 we went to the office of hathway in indore. Miss pinky in accounts department is talking very badly, arrogant attitude and harsh tone. She is not helping us.

                              Please refund our amount of rs.2655. The receipt is attached.

                                The coustomer care is pathetic i consecutively called them for 6 days every time they put the call on hang for long periods then they commit your problem will be resolved with in four hours it’s been mote them 6 day of constant call but they just can’t resolve the connection problem
                                Big liars, liars, liars shame on you.

                                Never ever again trust on hathway low class executives, baseless spineless company.

                                  I have received same kind of msg from legal delhi. Asking for pending 6057 rs. I had hathway connection in 2016 at pune n then i got shifted to odisha. I had settled my bill and submitted my modem to their centre at chinchwad. The guy said your bill settled account closing will take some time due to some software updating issue but don't worry you won't receive any bill. But now in 2018 sept i am getting legal msg. And some arrogant lady shouting over phone. I am surprised their head ofc is in mumbai why getting legal notice from delhi? Is it real of some fake call n msgs from delhi??

                                    Hi,

                                    I had taken hathway internet connection from chittaranjan jha (Employee of hathway) in may 2015.

                                    For initial 6/7 months, connection was working smoothly. But in april 2016, i started facing issues in service. So i started calling customer care everyday starting from april month.

                                    After continuous follow up, service was never restored and hathway started giving reasons of maintenance etc. I had also prepaid the rs. 1050/- on 13th april, but still, i did not get the service.

                                    On 20th april, i raised concern about disconnecting service, to hope that connection will start working. I got reply from samir haldikar as below:

                                    But even after it did not worked, so i raised disconnection request and informed them over email about it on 24th april.

                                    On 26th april, i got reply from nodal offer as below:

                                    Dear mr gaikwad,

                                    This is with reference to your below e-mail, we would like to inform you that your termination request has been assigned to the concerned team and they will address it at the earliest possible.

                                    Based on this email, disconnection happened and concerned person had collected hathway assets.

                                    After disconnection as well, i kept receiving bills, which is completely illogical.

                                    Now i am receiving threats of taking legal action from delhi, even if cause of action is pune.

                                    I talked to customer care about this, they said, we have received such complaints from old customers and don't pay any amount and your account is showing terminated in the system.

                                    I have recording of this call available with me.

                                    Today i have received one message of sending legal notice for recovery about rs. 9 thousands.

                                    I am attaching all email threads of discussion for proof.

                                    Kindly take action on hathway for such illogical things.
                                    Hathway customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                    Hi,

                                    I had taken Hathway internet connection from Chittaranjan Jha (Employee of Hathway) in December 2015.

                                    For initial 3 months, connection was working smoothly. But in April 2016, I started facing issues in service. So I started calling customer care everyday starting from April month. I used to pay in advance, whenever plan is going to be expired.

                                    After continuous follow up, service was never restored and Hathway started giving reasons of maintenance etc. I had also prepaid the Rs. 1050/- on 13th March, but still, I did not get the service.

                                    On 20th April, I raised concern about disconnecting service, to hope that connection will start working. I got reply from Samir Haldikar as below:

                                      I am unworthy person before you, even i put my supplication in the presence of you, that may be justifed because of your justification:
                                      I hereby submit you that i am j. Babu rao, research scholar o[censored]niversity of hyderabad, residing at lingampally, hyderabad. The two persons of hathway cable network company mr. Naidu and mr. Ram naik received amount of rs. 1520/ from me and made a bill on the name of mine and created an account with a wrong password, but the bill generated amount (Of rs.1530/), bearing no: [protected].

                                      When they brought the used router without modem to fix the connection at my home, immediately i opposed and denied them for not fixing and demaded them my payment which i had paid to them, bu they have been harassing me in all manners for many days instead of returning. And, they saying that to whom you have desired to compalint agaist us, you can proceed, but we do not care of it.

                                      In this regard, kindly may pursue my complaint, which i put before you, with your compassion and mighty power, that agaist mr. Naidu and mr. Ram naik and give me the justice as the earliest.

                                      Please give me justice, which I have put my supplication before you, as they (The Hathway) are not responding in the proper manner of the concerned issue; for 4-5 times I sent messages and many times gave a call to the helpdesk to clear my payment, even they are not willing to focus on my subject, but just showing to perform it.
