I applied for broadband connection with Hathway Broadband(Id[protected] on 25th Aug 2014 and gave installation fee of Rs. 1000 and one month advance of Rs. 1400 for internet plan. After that nobody from company has bothered to lay down wire for internet although I got mail from Hathway that connection is active. I don’t know how a connection can be active without physical wire connection. I have made several complaints regarding no service starting from 1st September 2014 and have asked for refund if they are unable to provide connection. Complaint numbers are 10586065, 10618752, 10639218. Till now no processing is being done and my Rs 2400 are locked with no service at all and neither are they refunding the money.

      I have brought the hathway connection but the cable provider of allahabad is not providing us the desirable channels. i have contacted to the mumbai customer care they said i should call allahabad customer care no and when i tried the number their was no response

        Hi, this is pramod from jankalyan nagar, malad west, mumbai.posting my compain here with the hope that the concerned authority takes necessary action against it. I contacted my area cable service operator- JOEL CABLE NETWORK, Baf-hira Nagar, malad west to get a new connection on 30th august i.e saturday.I was told that tomorrow mrng i will be getting the connection, but it didnt happened so day after i enquired again and i was told that the set top box stock isnt available so wait until new stock arrives.on thursday 4th september, Mr. DINESH the joel cable guy came to my house foR installation.when he took the SET TOP BOX fRom his bag it wasnt A BOX PACKED PIECE and neither it had PLASTIC COVERING on it and it looked old like wid some Rust like on the plug edge.i enquired abt it and questioned him-why the set top box has no plastic cover and why isnt it a BOX PACKED PIECE and why It doesnt look fresh new piece like? To which he said that its a new piece and as he has to carry 6-7 set top boxes in his bag, its difficult to carry more than 3-4 wid box packing, so he had removed the box frm packing and plastic.i wasnt convinced with such an answer by him and wasnt ready to accept the opened piece, as it looked like an old piece and it was slightly big in size as compared to the new set top boxes.BUt he assured and installed the same box.later when i asked about the remote, he said hE forgot to bring it and will hand me tomorrow. NOW THE MAIN PROBLEM STARTED FOR CONCERN. While watching tv, suddenly The SET TOP BOX stopped and it showed NO SIGNAL, but after few mins The set got the signal back .and again after some time it lost the signal again.This thing happened 5-6 times and it happened on the same night when i had my new connection. NEXT day Mr. Dinesh came to hand over the Remote and i told him about the problem i faced last night and also in mrng, he said yesterday we were wRking with the lines so that might be the cause and assured It wont happen again.but i told him my neighbours r also having ur connection but they had the sigNals, he said it wont happen again and he left. AGAIN today i had the same issue, the set top box lost its connection for more than 30 mins, so i went out of my house and enquired wid my neighbours but they Had the signal so i called Mr. DINESH and told him abt the problem, He said will send technician at ur place.THE technician came and he checked the box and connection and later confirmed that THE SET TOP BOX IS NOT RECEIVING POWER, there is problem with the box...i told him that i already had doubts wid the piece coz it wasnt bOx paCked anD it looKed old or used like, and asked the technician to replace this piece and get me a new box packed fresh piece.he said he is jst technician, u plzz call Mr. DINESH as he deals with the boxes..IMmediately i called DINESH and told him abt the issue And said to replace it And y did u gave me an opened piece.he said iN a strange manner that -maI box mei ghus kar to dekh nai sakta na ki fault hai Ismein.( I cant go into the box and see wheather its faulty or not)., than i Told him y didnt u gave me a packed piece, shall i complain to hathway main branch to which he said -jaao karo( go and Complain)...I had seriously lost my temper but i Controlled myself, coz i didnt wanted to go into any arguments wid him, rather i thought of complaing to the HATHWAY CUSTOMER CARE, so That they will Look into The matter and deal wid it. NOW my questioN to HATHWAY IS:- 1. IS THIS THE ATTITUDE O[censored]R LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDER OPERATORS AND IS THIS THE WAY THEY PROVIDE SERVICE? 2. DOES HATHWAY GIVE NEW CABLE INSTALLATION THE OPENED SET TOP BOX WIDOUT ANY BOX PACKING AND PLASTIC COVERING? 3. MR. DINESH THE GUY FROM JOEL CABLE NETWORK SAID JAO KARO COMPALAIN, THIS SHOWS HE DOESNT FEAR OF HATHWAY MAIN BRANCH AND THE COMPLAINTS.IS THIS THE IMAGE OF THE MAIN HATHWAY BRANCH TO ITS LOCAL CABLE OPERATORS? ARENT THE COMPLAINTS HERE ARE TAKEN CARE OFF BY THE CONCERNED AUTHORITY? 4.           I have recently got Hathway cable at my home in Bangalore on my friend's recommendation.But I think it was a big mistake considering Hathway cable to opt for. As they never provides intended services which the mention during connection.

          MY HATHWAY CARD NUMBER IS[protected].

          I have list of problems which I am facing because of Hathway and they are not resolving it. Following is the list of problems.
          1. On getting fresh connection total amount charged is 2200 but never received receipt for amount.
          2.After collecting money i have been provided old use set top box as temporary solution which became permenant solution and when i asked for new box i was being given no explanation, continuous follow up of 1 month did not help and still i was waiting for my fresh set top box. Finally when I opted for disconnection they issued me fresh set top box.
          3. After getting new set top box some 30 -35 channels have stopped coming. That includes all channels from ZEE NETWORK and some more.
          4. Till now i have Paid totally 2900/- but never received any receipt from Hathway.
          5. I asked for suscriber form for channels as i don't want all channels but i never received it and lost hope for it.
          6. After all this the local agent with i am doing follow ups is very arrogant and rude.

          I suggest if any one is looking for new connection please don't go with hathway as its worst service provider.

            Account no. 642750 I paid an amount of 1200 for a month's internet of 15 mbps unlimited plan with 40 gb data cap. I paid it on August 17 and now I get a message on sept 1 saying I have to pay 402 Rs. Why the extra payment? Hope someone clears up this misunderstanding or I will have to switch companies.

                This is Prashantak, my connection id is 1165398 . I took connection on 22nd Aug 2014 and disconnected Airtel cause getting 4mbps for same amount of money. I mostly do work from home. From 2 days I am not even getting 1 Mbps speed. Raised complaint to customer care but without resolving they closed the complaint . Now seriously I am thinking that Airtel was better and feeling cheated. Better will throw the money I have given for installation to switch to another cause cant see my work hampering just due to net connection. Completely unsatisfied with speed and moreover customer care.

                  Hi My name is Kapildev.K from vanasthalipuram hyderabad, Before making the payment i was pro missed by the executive that connection will be made by EOD but i.e, 30082014, But they visited my home next day morning were i clearly said i wont be available in the morning asked to come in the evening after 5 pm but no response and the person who collected money had switched of the mobile and no proper response from the customer care, Just i want to cancel the connection and i want my refund ASAP as you people are behaving like a fraud company, there is no proper contact person who can resolve the problem so how i go forward with such company.Is there any way to proceed legally for this issue as i was almost out of my job due the negligence's of the company i was out of net almost 3 days i clearly mentioned i am disconnecting my previous net connection.This is really ridiculous as they are playing with customers after taking full payment in advance.

                  I don't have account number but forwarded my details to your team but still I am waiting for activation . Really I am fed up with your service. First improve your service
                  I took hathway service thought you are better service provider in india. As per service provided by you that doesn't meet my expectations. almost every day i called your support team for resolving internet issue.most of time your service was down in dombivali.

                  You can't recover my time due bad service. So what i decied atleast give extension of two months of internet sevice or pay full money because i spent a lot of time to follow up your support team, billing desk etc.


                  Thanks for providing such type of services.hope you will parmanent reaolve this issue otherwise you lost so many valuable customer.

                  It has been completed 4 days of installation of router at my premises but not yet activated till date
                  when ever i made a call to customer support one line they are saying i.e., wait 24hours
                  worst customer service i had ever seen
                  ur team members who approached me for the connection not at all attending my number
                  i paid the amount
                  i had proof of that
                  i can file a case on ur company
                  I took a hathway connection yesterday they have delivered the same day, but they didn't activate it till now, it's almost 24hrs since I made payment...
                  They need they payment in advance...
                  But they connection will be delayed...
                  No proper response from anyone...
                  I'm missing all my meetings...

                    Dear Team Hathway, You and your staff both need to grow up and face the truth, you can't take the customer for a ride. Yesterday I had paid via cheque Rs 2670 for 3 months 600 kbps unlimited and Security deposit for Wi Fi router, BUT I HAVE NOW REQUESTED FOR A STOP PAY ON THE CHEQUE, reasons a) While collecting the cheque I was clearly told that the connection would activated before end of day which after waiting till 11:30 pm simply did not happen. There were relatives in our house with whom we had to go out but we cancelled the plan waiting for activation. I waited today morning till 12 noon but again no activation. b) The person (Jeetender Kr) who came with the router and box clearly told me the connection would get activated in 1 hour and asked me to call at [protected] in case of some issue. i) He got the form signed in which I later read that "The new link has been successfully installed and running to my satisfaction" was an option which he had not told me. I was made to sign on something as if it was a visit form. ii) I later callled him alteast 6 times but he did not pick the phone at all, simply disgusting. c) On my terrace there are a lot of hathway wires lined up without my explicit permission, I NEED THEM TO BE REMOVED BY DAY END TODAY (SEP 1 2014) OR ELSE I WOULD REMOVE THEM. The terrace is my personal property registered in my name and I would allow any commercial usage without my explicit permission. d) Also whomsoever comes to collect the hardware should bring Rs 75 the amount deducted from my account for stop paying the cheque.                       I reside in Munirka, New Delhi. I have taken hathway cable connection from the service provider, Kaushal Net Service, Shop No. 111-c, Baba Gang Nath Market, Munirka, New Delhi. I am using hathway services since past 6-7 months, and we are facing numerous problem on daily basis. I am paying Rs 300 per month, but most of the times I am not getting all the channels, and service is really really bad. The channels which are coming have very bad quality. There is no effect of complainig to the Kaushal Net Service guys, they treat as if they will just not provide the service properly, inspite o[censored]s paying the monthly rental timely. It seems as if we are just wasting our money on them. Its a request to please look into this matter. As it is really a menace for us. We have taken Hathway services on the notion that it is one of the best cable service providers. But till now it has appeared to be a big headache for us.

                        Hi, I have a problem with set top box and it is nor working from Sunday. When I call the local guy he says he will come and replace the box in couple of hours. I have been calling from past 4 days and the response is same, it hasn't been fixed yet. When I called the customer care @[protected] they gave different numbers to complain in the local area, no body is ready to take it up the issue. When I call the customer care and told the same, they simply told there is no complaint process in Hathway, if you don't like the service you can disconnect it. such a pathetic response from customer care. I paid 6 months advance last month, Please take up the issue and resolve at the earliest or pay my money back. I stay in Kasturi Nagar, house no#101 4th G cross, 2 nd floor.

                          Below is an email sent to customer care on 6 Aug 2014.. No response till date.. Complaint number: 10423104 registered on 10 Aug, 2014 to Bangalore customer care. Account No: 1153193.. Followed up 4 times with Bangalore customer care..Every time I hear that sale executive will call you back which never happened. Today again, i was told it will resolved in 7 working days and some one will call me.. Now, i am not left with any option other than going to consumer court if i do not my refund today.. EMAIL SENT TO "[protected]@hathway.net" on 6 Aug, 2014 ======================================== I made a new broadband connection request on 29/11/2014 at Bellandur Area, Bangalore. Hathway executive visited and took payment of 6 months broadband plan after Confirming availability of connectivity at my apartment. I made payment through cheque. Details are provided below: Bank: ICICI Bank Dated: 29/07/2014 Cheque No: 389270 Payable at: Bangalore Cheque has been debited from my account. After calling same executive, he told me that connection is not possible. I do not know if connection was not possible then why it was not informed and also why payment was processed. Executive promised to make refund by cash/cheque on Monday (4 Aug, 2014).. Now, I am calling and messaging him and he is not picking up my phone. Please make sure to make refund to me ASAP.                             Sir/Madam, Since last two months only two Malayalam Channels i.e. Surya & Asianet is being displayed on our cable TV. Further, the said two Channels is also discontinued since last two weeks. Even after repeated telephone calls/complaint to the local Mira Road Cable Office & also after my personal visit to said cable office and lodging complaint, No Malayalam Channels is being displayed and the excuse given is that the Software cannot be downloaded to my Card due to some technical problems.                               My card no is 21555594 . Hathaway has disconnected the cable service since yesterday on the pretext of non receipt of payment .i had made the payment on 28/7/2014 and received a confirmatory SMS on 14th august 2014 mentioning that the payment has been received on 28/7/2014 and transaction Id for the same is R-313408 . My complaint has been lodged under ticket no : 619557 dt 21.8.2014 19:01 hrs. Even after numerous phone calls every time I was promised by the operator named : Mr Sachin, Mr Tushar, Mr Sushant, Ms Renuka and few others replied that it will start in 15-20 minutes . But has not started till now. It's really pathetic to see this type of customer service by such a company .

                              After hearing that to resume Service they need another 24hrs I fired them, within some Time the service was restored late in the night.

                                This is the worst company which i ever seen in broadband I thought hathway is the good company for these but I am wrong on this. I took the new connection for broadband on 31st July with HD stream1plan(Custmer code[protected].From 1st of august on words daily it is disconnecting frequently sometimes you guys have disconnected for more than 10 hours also but that issue is not at all resolved. If I raise the complaints also your resolving from your end with contacting us. And I also spoke to few of your superiors as well those are also very stupid fellows when I ask the cross questions they are disconnecting the calls it self. I am thinking at least if I send mail some how you will response for my issues. Please do the need full to solve my issue ASAP.

                                  The hathway cable in Pune Bibvewadi area is down since 19.08.14 afternoon.I (cust id :4272) tried to contact the help desk centre/Bibvewadi office[protected] &[protected] many times, but nobody responds to the customer calls for hours together. This is a serious problem since almost more than a year & it is almost impossible to contact these service centers. Today when I could contact 30252100 they told me about system problem & hence directed me to[protected]Bibvewadi office number), which impossible to get thru, as usual.
                                  I was told that there are only 05 lines provided on 30252100 & only one line at 24228133. How can HATHWAY provide such such less no of lines with thousand of customers? The customers are fed up with HATHWAY connection & HELP DESK (???) service.
                                  Are the HATHWAY MANAGEMENT ARE AWARE OF THIS CHAEOS or happy that there are less complaints (because the complaints are not getting registered but the ground reality is horrible).
                                  Please let me know how hathway is going to resolve this. ELSE I have to write in newspapers & to consumer forums about this HATHWAY HELP DESK CHAEOS.

                                    There is full of rubbishness i am facing with Hathway. This people are disconnecting ma Internet services as i am not using their cable services.

                                    I thought Hath way is one of good service provider so i took connection now this kind of foolish reasons i have to disconnect the service. This is pathetic and nonsense i have ever seen in such reputed service provider.

                                      Hello, I have been using Hathway cable for more than 5 years and currently I am facing inconvenience due to unavailability of the Zee channels since 1 Aug 2014. Whenever I contact cable operator they tell to contact the Hathway. When I contact Hathway they tell me to contact local cable operator. This has been going on. This is not just about my connection but everyone in my area. I am thinking of switching to DTH and would recommend others to switch to DTH.

                                        Sir, I am already buy 3 months internet service from Hathway, before buying they were promise that fast internet service but after that it was to slow even not able to open any page.when I contact their customer care they people tell about this plan which is totally different which i want after that i am call that person who was setup this connection from hathway everyday 3/4 times but he was not giving response.Please suggest me sir what i do now. location: Bangalore Ac no:1159182

                                        I am also a hathway customer in bangalore my a/c no is 1152197, my not getting the speed of 50mbps and i getting the speed of 500kbps. I have registered 6 complaints nothing have been resolved. Every time the customer care person will tell me the problem is resolved and but problems remians the same.
