Hello,

I am shohib salman. Without informing me kotak bank has deduct around 1400 rupees from my account. Before deposit they did't inform me that they are going to charge 690 rupees from april but after deposit they charged 690 + 690 rupees from my account. I have deposit 10, 000 in april still they charged of april. I just want my 1400 rupees back into my account because there is not my fault.

    I want to close my salary account so can i close from another kotak branch ?
    and also bank charges from me a low balance maintain charges.
    some time bank msg me that ur available bal is -1280 and some time send me messege that ur available balance is 0 and now i got the messege from kotak bank that ur available balance is -3000. in my kotak salary bank there is 0 balance due to i left my previous company and i m jobless now. so what should i do kindly reply.

    Force female staff to work late and after 8pm which is against law. Also humiliate and iltreat employees in big meeting by calling names and sarcastic comments.

      Company has withdrawn money from my account without giving any information under a kotak assured saving plan policy and the amount is around rs. 21000 before that company was deducted some money from my account unnecessary. Kindly take strictly action regarding this i must say that i want my money back in any condition.

        Hi Kotak Team

        I Gagan Deep Singh with Customer relationship number 46878071 having a salary edge account in kotak, made an IMPS of Rs 20000/- on 4th August 2016 at 2:13 PM with reference number[protected] was declined due to transaction been timed out. The amount was not transferred to the beneficiary account but deducted from my account. I need to transfer that money on urgent bases please help me out in getting my refund ASAP.

          My son was harassed and have been given runaround for 2 weeks to open a NRE account. Whenever we tried to call them or approach them, they either hung up phone or said it will be done in two days. It went on everyday for 2 weeks. Only when we wrote to nodal officer they forwarded our application after two weeks, but non functional. Account is still in debit freeze mode, due to their pathetic system issues and goo[censored]p done at branch level.

          When we raised question about their un-professionalism in handling the bank opening account process BM of Sahakarnagar Bangalore-[removed] refused to answer and said she will not handle the account opening, Same thing [removed] added to injury. They are least worried about customer and referring to some issues and errors, specially when we got complete written statement from [removed]- asst manager, that all documents are intact and account will be opened in 8 days or before.

          Two people [removed] and other guy who came to our temporary residence in India who tried to sell the banking services and promised that they will give good service and account which will be active in 8 days. I was really shocked and amazed to see that in India it takes more than 2-4 weeks to open an account and that too it will be non-functional, till the time we spend hours and hours chasing them. Second round of issues will start with debit cards, net banking. Nothing seems to be coordinated in this bank. Well [removed] is no mood to answer, twitted and wrote to him several times.

          Mr. [removed] must shut down this lousy, substandard bank street banking. He has to understand how scary this bank could be when customer has to haggle even before opening account, how worse it can be post opening and services later on. To get a standard reply it can take 7 days... I had most horrible experience with this bank, When world is giving best of services and comfort banking, but in India still banks like kotak and icici believes in harassing customers. Kotak bank has very very low quality banking services and substandard customer service as worse as ICICI, Everytime we get a automated message or templated message that team will contact you.

          It is big disaster, Hope [removed] is able to revamp their corrupt and useless workforce - managers . A manager in Kotak doesn't even know how to spell or write a word " account " properly, what kind of services we can expect from these people bunch of jokers employed by [removed].

          Besides [removed] and [removed] are such unprofessional and low level, attitude filled people, they could have fixed the situation, but they spoiled the whole process due to their vague and arrogant behaviour towards customer, they have no courtesy or respect for customers, as if being a manager they are god fathers or mothers.

          BEWARE OF [removed] AND [removed], ALONG WITH [removed] who will ruin your holidays, if you are here for opening NRI account in India. Avoid them by all means. They are nothing more than scammers, they just want to get customers but do not know meaning of customer service or relationship ...

          Total waste bank, it is another [censored] hole in India like ICICI BANK.

          Two jokers who spoiled our holidays and bank account, gave us hard time and wrong impression of India.

          Kotak Mahindra Bank customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complaint author have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where company image and it's services are concerned.

          Even I had similar experience, These type of Banks have very poor coordination, bad reputation and low class service.
          It is not a safe bet to deal with private banks in India where scams and cheating for getting business is institutionalized. Sales pressure on marketing team is tremendous, Before opening account they will promise you earth and moon, but when it comes to service and ethics these people falls in the last row. Lastly when you are struck with issues their senior manager will hide in rest-rooms. In India one can loose money, or their money can disappear mysteriously.
          WORST BANK, NRIs beware, do not even open account with them, unless you want to run after them or get your money locked.

            On 15th july, i've done a complete foreclose payment of the pending amount of my person loan. as informed, the personal account was supposed to be closed within 5 days and noc to be sent within 5 days to my communication address.

            On 20th july, when i called up the loan team via kotak customer care number, they told me that your account is still active. the person assured me that he has marked an email to the loan team requesting them to close this account as the payment has been made 5 days ago. he also told me that the account will be closed within 7 working days from 20th july.

            Today on 4th aug, when i called the customer care again to confirm if the account was closed, the person representing kmb (mr. rahul) told me that the account is still active and the bank is still calculating per day interest on the loan amount taken. he also told me that as my monthly instl. due date is 10th of every month, it might happen that the instl. amount will be deducted this month too.

            His exact words were,

            "i agree that it's our bank's mistake to not close the account and continue calculating interest per day even if you have done the complete foreclose payment, there are chances that your next installment might be deducted from your bank account. you will have to file for a refund and call the customer again."

            Isn't this ridiculous? why am i paying them service charge for? this is not service, this is pure harassment.

            Post this conversation, i've emailed all the members of senior management of kmb about this (from executive vice chairman and managing director mr. uday kotak to joint managing director mr. d. gupta & mr. c. jayaram to country heads mr. k. v. s. manian, ms. s. ekambaram, mr. s. narayan & mr. j. hansraj).

            I'm not sure whether that'll help but they should feel ashamed of their services.

            I'll be glad if consumer complaints team can help me on this. i'm fed up of kotak bank now.

              Pathetic customer service. Never had such bad banking experience. They are frauds. They deduct money from customers accounts for opening account & tehn never approach the clients. Their executive shows their bad attitude, they are even not bothered to update clients about the status. False promises by customer care for supervisor call. Non responding call center. They respond to Customer without checking things. Would never recommend to anyone.
              Having a very bad experience with Kotak. People please avoid this bank...its not meant for average working class people. They will ruin your little savings.

              Kotak Mahindra Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
              It has been more than 15 days & Kotak employees are not even interested to respond on their customers queries. Kotak executive called me & promised me to resolve this issue on priority but still I have no update. Rs. 10k has been deducted from my account more than 15 days ago but kotak employees are not even bothered to look into this matter. False promises by customer care for regular updates. This kind of practice shows how much they are dedicated towards their customers. i will never ever recommend anyone for kotak & perhaps they are not concerned about that.


              Poor, Poor & Very Poor Services. Worst banking experience I had with Kotak.

                    My a/c no is nre [protected] vashi branch 0669. i have received pre credit intimation on 27/07/16 afternoon regarding they have received my usd funds from company maersk line as i am an employee. vashi branch credit my money into my a/c on 01/08/16 after repeated calls.in june month also they hold my funds for 2 days. amol deshmukh dp/manager mob no [protected] did not pick up the phone nor replied my mail i have sent to him even vashi branch officials are picking up the phonesir this is not professional approach as i need the money for my family maintainance.

                      Hi, my complaint is regarding cash not disbursed from atm and amount got deducted from account, i used the kotak debit card tried to withdraw from non-bank atm for this transaction. I launched a complaint against that but they closing it immediately next day and asking me to wait for another 7 working days, this happend 2 times. And when i call the customer care they are some bull and there response is no proper. I asked one your customer support guy to connect me to his manager, but no proper response. I has been almost a month from the date of transaction.

                      We had raised a chargeback on 18th Jul, 2016 & the same was rejected. Hence, we have raised an pre-arbitration on Aug 01'2016 & status of the same would be updated within 7 working days by other bank.

                          Hi everyone,

                          I am having jifi account in kotak mahindra bank.In this account there is no need to maintain the minimum balance. But now i am being charged 5 times of rs 28.75 for past three days for unknown reason till today. I don't how long they will loot my amount lke this.

                          They are already looting our money in many ways, the highlight part is if i tried to call the customer care, they are not toll free and charged like normal call and the call also not get connected for 6 seconds and automatically it cut off and balance is reduced from my mobile account also.

                          I tried 5 to 6 times and i lost my 6 rupees for dailing the toll free number and hearing the beep sound and not even say hi to the customer care. That is too costly for just hearing a beep sound for 1 second 1 rupee.

                              I got a credit card from kotak. They activated some card protection and took 1500 rupees. Thieves. I paid all the money in three installments within the date and every month they used to add late payment fees and asked me to pay the same amount again. I gave them the snapshot of all the payments with transaction id and they again told me we received later. They already looted more than enough. Feeling frustrated with these cheaters. They never used to receive calls. If your system is down 23 hours per day then why r u deducting money for call. Still i am dropping them mail from last 2 months. No satisfactory answers. I gave all screenshots with everything with transaction numbers still these guys want me to pay. And worst costumer service i ever say in my life. At least i expect i get a resolution.

                                  I am a resident of mumbai. I had taken a loan from kotak mahindea due to a personal issue that i had. I have always tried to kp my paynwnts on time. I may have defaulted a couple of times, not saying a no to that, but i have made my payments.

                                  This month i was unable to make a payment, reason being that i have met with an accident. I have got a head injury, an ear injury, an eye injury and a broken knee cap. Due to which ivwas hositalised and had to pay a huge amount for medical concerns.

                                  I have got calls from the recovery team stating that my payment is not made, to which i have informed them the situation.

                                  Today i get a call from some lady, very sorry but i do not remember the name. She direcrly sked me if i should send some one home or at my office address to pick up the payment. Now, this was the second call in the day. I had received a call from a guy just 10 minutes earlier regarding the same. To which i again explained the situation. Then this lady calls me again. I told her that i am in the hispital and will not be ble to make the payment as i need some more time. This lady tells me that, by your voice, you do not sound to be in the hospital. You should take a loan only if you have the money to pay back. You do not the amount to pay then why take a loan, to which i asked her that i want to speak to her manager. To that she asks me why do you want to speak to a manager? What different will you tell him???

                                  Is this the kind of bad customer service that kotak mahindra offers??? Or is it that they cannot afford to pay a decent staff, who can talk politely in wnglist, rather than having ghatis call customers for recovery of payments.

                                  I am very sorry for my language, but just to get to your notice that this is not the kind of customer service that any company would strive for and also, i have worked for a bank my self.

                                    I swiped rs.1000/- (one thousand rupees only) on 06/july/2016 at kotak mahindra bank atm beside to himayath nagar branch hyderabad telangana but i didn't get the money from atm machine but i received the message of credited amount of rupees 1000/- hence i have book a complaint on 08/jully/2016 complaint no.1-[protected] they promised that they will debit the money within 7 working days since we didn't receive money till 7th working day so were calling back them from 8th day there was no proper response from them till now we called 8-9 times for each call we are costing around 30-35 rupees,
                                    Even we went to kotak mahindra bank himayat nagar branch hyderabad telangana so they stated that in this case you call to customer care people only and you will be getting rs.100/- of extra amount from the 8th working day but we dint even receive the money till now hence this is the 16th working day.
                                    Hence please take an immediate action on this.

                                      I want to foreclose my od account[protected]. (Crn no[protected]. I have given written request to provide foreclosure letter and lod.

                                      Please process the request on top most priority. Attached is the letter submitted in your ambadeep office.

                                      It is a painful experience to close my account with kotak mahendra bank. I am ready to pay off my loan as soon as possible but team is not ready to close it. It is surprise to see the attitude shown by the team, where customer is ready to pay but team is not ready to close the loan and handover my property documents.

                                      Please generate my dc and lod letter as soon as possible. I want this to be done on top most priority.
