unethical behaviour and fraud by lg

I have ordered a lg purifier 2 years back and the water was totally sour. I complained about it in lg but no one bothered. Everytime the service person used to come and do nothing and just go, ultimately we decided to bring the jars and drink water. Now as we have shifted to another place, i decided to pay 15000 and changed the entire filter from lg and i did that and again the water is sour. We are calling in lg from so many days they are...

I bought this Lg 43lj523t model lcd tv on the 18th of oct 2017. As promised that the very next day the company will install it by coming to my home. Until now I've not even heard of them plz advise.as I bought it only saying that I want it fixed the next day.

    Hi neeta,

    My complaint number with lg : rnp[protected].

    I had bought a lg 32' led on 2nd october from tmc showroom and by 12th october i had a problem with the screen. There is a line which is coming on the screen. Lg's technician cooley said we need to replace the panel and i was shocked. I asked for a replacement having spend our hard earned money on that. It is less than 15 days and the company cannot disown us just by not giving any proper response. Ever since, i have called their call centre 5 times and as they cant help, i was asked to contact their local service team in hyderabad and have been talking to siva - [protected]; they gave me venkats number from lg - [protected]. Last 10 days i have been only doing this and have no resolution.

    I am reaching out to you to get the contacts of the md or head of lg so that i can share this feedback and get help. Honestly, i feel i have been let down by lg at this stage and hoping to get some resolution. Failing which i don't mind escalating this in social media which is so powerful or anyone across your globally within lg.

      I bought a lg microwave from flipkart and it is defective out of the box. Lg technician visited my house and found it defective. He recommended replacement since it is a brand new product. Flipkart refused to replace it as it was out of their 10 days policy.
      We contacted lg helpline and service center and they are just giving us run arounds and aren't willing to replace it.

      It is a brand new product, out of the box not working. This shows us the relability of the product. And since 1 week we can see, how lg treat their customers.

      We are looking for a replacement. Not refund. So let me know what can be done from your side.

        When i called up to lodge a complaint for my top load washing machine which is under 5 years warranty period. Ms rashmi started forcing me that she will lodge a complaint only if first i need to be near my washing machine. I told her i am not at home on this she said then how can i file a complaint first i need to perform something on machine that she wants me to do otherwise she will not be able to record my product inorder complaint. I told her the machine is not working thats it send an engineer he will check everything. On this she shouted at me and said in a raised voice that i am arguing with her and not doing what she is asking to do with machine buttons. I want to understand when my machine is under 5 year warranty and i call customer center and say my machine is not working then why not i am given complaint number?? Why am i harassed? Instead of taling politely with customers in a humble way lg customer executives talk like uneducated etiquettes less miserable service ppl.

          I purchased lg nexus 5x in feb 2016, now i am facing problem of bootloop. I also contacted to lg service center. They suggest me to change motherboard which cost around 12000 inr. So my concern is if my mobile get run down with in one and half year so why i trust on lg products. After reaserch on internet this problem is due to bad ic on motherboard and for this lg is totally responsible. From now lg brand is non trusted brand for me, my family and for my friends.             I had purchased lg ro purifier hot and cold some three months back, internal filters are not working now, the service technician is telling to change the filters on a chargeable basis, i want to know if the product is in warranty, then why i need to pay. This is a pure case of harassment where the customer is being asked to pay while in warranty.

              I have purchased a brand new lg smart tv with full cash payment on 16th oct 2017 from thane ghodbunder road kapurbavdi lg shop. I have purchased from proper lg authorised shop and not a 3rd party vendor. My tv is not yet installed in spite of repeatedly informing them. I was made to speak to some lady on the phone from lg by mr imran sayyed salesman of lg shop this lady was harshly rude and absolutely irresponsible. She was shouting and talking nonsense to me my tv is not yet installed i was promised it will be installed within 24 hours ie 17th oct moreso they have taken my old working tv and just dumped the new tv.

                I had purchased a 32 inch lg lcd tv in 2010 (Model no. 32lg80fr). On 06th september 2017 due to lightning issue my tv motherboard has been damaged when i had called lg service center the toll free number they had send a service engineer who came opened my tv and said that motherboard is damaged and the part is not available with lg nor in our area jamshedpur nor in india. Infact i had contacted numbers of time with area head & toll free number but they all told the motherboard is not available. Infact they told me that lg is not making tv any more so no parts are available. They told me to replace the tv with any new tv for rs. 500 while purchasing any tv. I had purchased this tv for rs. 50000/- and now the behavior of lg is totally bad towards customer.

                I think one should never purchase any of the product of this brand at least i am not going to use any lg product in my life time

                  I have a lg monitor (19 inchi) which is bought in 2008, may probably. It does not working. So i called lg customer servise center. They came & told me that i have to change fullpanel & for that i have to spend rs.10300/- wheras the cost of the product was rs.[protected]. Natually i shocked to hear about that. Probably nobody will accept this proposal. So i was bound to rejected but for that they have charged rs. 250+18% gst=rs.295 without given me service & any lg compay voucher. Now the question is: is it justified? Without given me any service & without given me any voucher. Lg company service provider have taken rs. 295, it's a cheating. Lg company should deeply take care about it. It not axpected from like this giant lg company. It's shame.

                    Hi, at the start of this month (Oct'17) i had received a system update to migrate from nougat to oreo. The moment i updated to oreo, my nexus 5x has gone into bootlooping mode till today. I contacted lg service center at airoli, navi mumbai, they are stating that it cannot be repaired as i have exceeded the warranty period of 18 months. I had bought the phone on oct' 15.
                    Usually systems updates comes after testing the updates on all the phones, why was this not done on nexus 5x and if there is a hardware compatibility issues, then i should get the phone repaired for free or get a refund against it. I can share my imea number and other details on request, kindly help me get this sorted.

                      When most o[censored]s go to a shop to buy a TV, we look at the perceived brand of the company. While there are local assembled UHDTVs available in the market (Like VU, Micromax ) for one third the price of LG, Samsung, Sony etc. most o[censored]s still go ahead and buy the brand value. Why? Because we "TRUST" them with expectation that you'll have peace in your mind and the product will last for at least 7-8 years and good post sales services.

                      Like many of you posting here...I am also a victim of this cheater company called LG Electronics India. In my opinion this should be the WORST OF ALL THE CONSUMER DURABLE COMPANY operating out of India today. This has to be LG Electronics India. Let me share my experience with them.

                      I purchased a UHDTV 42UB820T sometime in Nov 2015. I never realized before the box was opened, that the warranty for such high end and costly TV set was just for 12 months. Which means that the company theoretically stands for you for just 12 months. Moreover the warranty conditions are ONE SIDED, you never get this information with the terms validated before you buy the product.

                      While there are low end consumer durable items like mixer grinders that give you 2-3 years of warranty. My 16K Faber chimney gave me 12 YEARS warranty and even changed the motor on the 9th YEAR. So WTF with this dog eating company?

                      Within 9 months after the so called "warranty period" my TV went blacked out. I raised a complaint RNP[protected]. The technician charged Rs.400 for the visit and assessed the mother board replacement. Again, we have to trust them. We do not know and validate if really it is the mother board or father board. He estimated a charge of like Rs.13, 100 (this works out to 20% of the original cost). Obviously like many of you, I was frustrated to the core.

                      I escalated this issue to their service center and after speaking to 3 people, they finally directed me to one Mr. P.Das who introduced himself to me as "Area Service Manager". My foot how it matters to me you can be anything in your stupid company, I'm your paying customer. He listened to me and my frustration and he was so magnanimous to offer me 25% discount of the spare cost (works out to Rs.10, 000). I straight way rejected his offer.

                      From that very moment I decided to teach this company a lesson of their life. They thought that will thrive on their malpractices in India taking advantage of our resilience. We pursue for some time and then accept the bitter pill. Many o[censored]s do not have the time and motivation to FIGHT these crooks.

                      You can see how people are frustrated with LG India. Note: They deleted some of my recent posts that might have affected their business.

                      I sent mails to their LG Communication SPOC, Ms. Neeta Lintz, sent mail to their Flat panel TV national head Mr. Anuj Ayodhyawasi. Subsequently yesterday (17/10/2017), I received a call from Mr. Shakeel Ahmed who introduced himself as LG service escalation manager from LG Noida office, he asked my perspective and I repeated myself once more about the one sided and irrational warranty period of 12 months for such a high value item, I explained why we go for a brand paying such a high price expecting that to work for at least 7-8 years, I also asked him if this is like buying a lottery that the TV may or may not work post the warranty period. He seem to be on my side while understanding my arguments and he promised to come back to me as the soonest.

                      While I still await to hear back from Mr. Shakeel, and expect LGE to make good my TV with their responsibility. I can’t understand one thing, if they are really customer friendly, why the hell they do not hold their spare vendors responsible instead of fleecing the customers for additional money? What is the differnce between a LG brand a that road side brand?

                      Or is it their deliberate ploy and a crooked business model to fleece and blackmail the customers? I can’t believe a company can survive with defects to this extent. This is the reason why people still trust Japanese brands like SONY, PANASONIC. I’m convinced now that LG India have setup a business model to deliberately have a sunstandard spare of the main board tht goes out after 12 months and then fleece the customers for another 20%-50% of the cost. #Shame on LG India.

                      Anyway, so what am I doing in parallel and going to do now?

                      1) I discussed with a private legal practitioner and I’m convinced that their warranty clause in not tenable due to its one sided nature and there is no agreement of acceptance from my side. It doesn’t implied that you’re bound to the warranty clause when you buy since the clause isn’t disclosed to you before the purchase, else my purchase decision could have been different.

                      2) Since my purchase was in Kolkata jurisdiction, I also submitted a complaint through their portal here https://wbconsumers.gov.in

                      3) I also raised a complaint here: http://consumerhelpline.gov.in

                      4) I have also written to the Deputy Secretary, Mrs. Sumita Dasgupta of National Consumer Affairs department http://consumeraffairs.nic.in appealing to regulate this huge consumer durable market and protect the consumers’ interest by putting a body like OMBUDSMAN to deal with cases like ours where the companies should declare MINIMUM USEFUL LIFE of the product and ensure they own that.

                      5) Finally if in a reasonable time frame nothing works out for me, I have decided to sue this company. I really have nothing more to lose.

                        I had purchased 32" lg monitor in mar 2015 with 2 years warranty. (Expired as per current date)

                        In the month of september 2017, the monitor corrupted (Display problem) and complaint done with rnp[protected] on 17/09/17. Technician visited on 19/09/17 and recommended for replacement and also paid service charge of rs.295. Since it was navratri (20th-30th september) period, i told technician that you can replace the part after navratri and technician assured me that after navratri they will resolve the issue.

                        Again on 04/10/17 11:00 am, i had re complaints with rnp[protected] is given to pradeepchanassery, mobile no - 88xxxxx198 (Supervisor of. Lg direct service center, navi mumbai)

                        On 05/10/17 06:00 pm (After 24 hours) i called person pradeepchanassery on his mobile number. This guy didn't picked up a call. After that i called to lg customer care on 05/10/17 06:44 pm and inform the same. Lg customer care person send the 1st reminder to respective service center (Reminder will guarantee that service center will call customer/party after 30 min of reminder).

                        Again i have been waiting to complete next 24 hours for call from either lg direct service center, navi mumbai or a supervisor pradeepchanassery. But no call, nothing. Again after that, i called to lg customer care on 06/10/17 11:05 pm and inform the same. Lg customer care person send the 2nd reminder to respective service center. Again no call, nothing. Once again after that i called to lg customer care on 06/10/17 07:30 pm and inform the same. Lg customer care person send the 3rd reminder to respective service center. Again no call, nothing.

                        Now it was high time till 09/10/17, my monitor part not being replaced, no call, nothing. Once again i decided to call and called to lg customer care on 09/10/17 09:50 pm, and told them that i didn't received a single call even after 3 reminders. This time, lg customer care person given me area manager mobile number. (Area manager name: sushil dharmik, mobile no - 993xxxxx74)

                        After that since 09/10/17 to till 17/10/17, i am calling this area manager (Called 10-15 times). But this guys didn't picked up even a single call. This is just ridiculous and worst ever attitude by area manager.

                        This type of delaying tactic by staff of lg services center can not be appropriated.

                          Two days ago i have booked lg three sixty lt freeze model no gl-cfour zero two rpzu with lg showroom tarujit sweet home pvt ltd himatnagar on fouteenth october dealer has delivered it on sixteenth october today i e seventeenth october lg representative come for installation in presence o[censored]s he opened the packing at that time we found scratches on both the door as well as on side border of door and we have also noticed that freeze was not laminated i immediately talked to dealer mr ajitbhai he replies me to change the door and he told me that he is not responsible for damaging in transportation but that is rarely possibility of damaging during transportationni m not agree with his reply

                          Two days ago I have booked lg three sixty lt freeze model no GL-Cfour zero two RPZU with lg showroom Tarujit sweet home Pvt LTD himatnagar on fouteenth October Dealer has delivered it on sixteenth October Today i e seventeenth October lg representative come for installation in presence o[censored]s he opened the packing at that time we found scratches on both the door as well as on side border of door and we have also noticed that freeze was not laminated I immediately talked to dealer Mr ajitbhai he replies me to change the door and he told me that he is not responsible for damaging in transportation but that is rarely possibility of damaging during transportationnI m not agree with his reply

                            I have purchased lg refrigerator from nandilath gmart thrissur, kerala and this get damaged 3 months back. Many time called to the dealer and service centre. The service centre technician came on 17th aug 2017. He checked the refrigerator and said the electronic parts get damaged and he will fix soon. He took advance money and not repaired till now. I am waiting for him from last 2 months and i called him many times. He is not responding. I don't know what i should do now to fix the refrigerator.

                            I have purchased "LG top load Fully automatic washing machine." I have only single tap for bathroom and washing machine purpose. i have no option to change the place for washing machine.

                            my doubt is - Can i fix inlet adapter to tap which after using washing machine can i remove only the pipe part and use normal tap (with adapter only) ???

                              I called lg customer care as my micro wave stopped working on 9th october 2017 the technician came he confirmed that the part has to be replaced on saying ok he checked with his company and told me i had to provide the bill and the serial number and model number after proving it the company will replace or give me a depression value as the part is not available. After calling to the customer care center numerous times they provide wrong number or the the person does not answer

                                We bought LG DC FRIDGE GL-205XEDA5 (WB). We had issues in adjusting the temperature of our refrigerator(attached pic 1). In the auto defrost panel(attached pic 1) not able to change anything and the temperature we can't change from ECO --Cold --Coldest. As a result, the food and vegetable which we keep in the refrigerator are getting spoiled. We raised a complaint RMP[protected] in Aug 3rd week, 2017. Engineer came on Aug 19, 2017 and informed us that the panel(in attached pic 1) has to be changed and in two to three weeks he can change it with new panel. Also informed, he would charge 50% of actual charge (Rs. 150) for the second visit as he didn't do anything during his first visit(Aug 19th Visit). He collected Rs. 300 for that Aug 19th visit.

                                When I called the LG customer on 10th october and asked about the status of ticket RMP[protected], I was informed that the issue is resolved. I explained that the issue is not yet resolved and asked customer care to reopen the ticket. After an hour, I got a call from Service Engineer Aswin ( reports to Manivannan S) and he informed us that the panel is not available in the entire world. Hence he can't fix the issue. When I asked him about what would be the solution, he is not giving proper answer and responded that no solution for this issue.

                                On 11th october, we have been informed from LG repair people that we need to approach local repair service people(Non LG) to fix this problem.

                                Now, I would like to know from the appropriate people of LG to respond this email for the solution. Is that still LG stands on the 11th october information we received( approach local Non LG people to fix this issue)?

                                We are facing this issue for past two months. All our food and vegetables are getting spoiled.This is causing huge loss to us and providing the entire family to undergo severe mental stress.

                                Expecting a positive response for this and when this issue will be fixed.

                                  This is in continue with my previous request regarding "pairing problem with lg magic remote" having reference numbers as rnp[protected] and rnp[protected] posted on 25-sep-2017. I was told from local service provider that i got an approval for tv replacement. But they are not providing me the same model which i bought (42lf6500); instead they are asking me to go for other model. I have checked the model suggested by local service provider and found out that their price is approximate 10000 less that what i paid for my tv. Moreover, the technology of the suggested models is inferior to what i have right now.
                                  I don’t know what the problem is, but i will not settle for less. As a replacement, lg should provide me the same model which i have. If that model is discontinued (Which i don’t think so as the same is available in the market), at least i would prefer a model having same specification or more. Kindly forward this to lg on an urgent basis. The problem is there from more than 25 days. Thanks!!

                                  We got an LG 6 kg Fully Automatic Front Load Washing Machine White model number - FH0B8NDL22 from Amazon.com

                                  The machine has some serious faults and I dont know how to file a complaint. I have already spoken with LG Customer care but have not heard anything back from them since last three days.

                                  Please help!

                                    I have raised a complaint for my fridge bought in 2014 (Compliant no rnp[protected], raised in the name of my mother leena shah) which has stopped working. After multiple visits from the technician i was finally told that my motherboard needs to be replaced and an order will be placed for the same. The very same day my fridge, which was partially working (Working for sometime and shutting down after that) stopped working completely and tripped the main switch of my house.

                                    On the next technician visit we were told that the compressor has stopped working and needs to be replaced. This would be done under the 10yr warranty of the compressor.

                                    After multiple days and follow ups with higher authorities (The technician stopped answering his phone) we were informed that the compressor is not available for my fridge.

                                    We were then told that we will be given a replacement fridge but at a cost of rs. 10, 000. We have not once asked for a new fridge but have always just asked to replace the compressor under the warranty.

                                    We are in touch with mr. Rajiv and his team member mr. Vaibhav vartak. They have informed us that they can only provide us a replacement fridge as the cost of rs. 10, 000 and cannot provide us a replacement compressor for our existing fridge which still has 7 years pending on the warranty.

                                    My concern is that why is the customer being made to pay if the company is unable to fulfill the warranty that it has given to the customer.

                                      Complained to lg about my tv lg 32lh520d not working on 02.09.17.

                                      Ur mechanic checked on 05.09.17 (Mr. Raj) & told panel has gone & will b replaced. On 10.09.17given a contact mr. Sameer dalvi. But not picking up call, contacted personally, he assured to arrange new panel or replace product. Bt till date, not made any contact with me or not even attaining my call.
                                      After complaining at costumer care, mr. Sachin yadav called on 20.09.17 & assured to replace product. After calling several times after 2 days, he is also my receiving call, then again got a new contact mr prashant patil, said to be main person, who have given another contact mr prasad, who confirmed on 25.09.17 that procedure for replacement is carried out, & will be available in 3-4 days.
                                      Since today morning (28.09.17), he is also not picking up the call, even none of 4 persons receiving call.

                                      I have also came to know that, there is same problem with 4 other customers.
