HELLO SIR
I HAVE A LANDLINE CONNECTION WITH BROADBAND [protected] FROM JULY 2007.BUT FROM AUG 2010 TO FEB 2011, MY PHONE IS NOT IN WORKING PROPERLY AND DEAD MOST OF THE MONTHS NEAR ABOUT ONLY 30-45 DAYS WORKED UPTO FEB.I REGISTERED COMPLAINTS BY 198 AS WELL AS IN WRITTEN.MTNL AUTHORITY PERSONS TOLD ME TO SUBMIT MY TELEPHONE BILLS WITHOUT USING THE SERVICE IN DEAD PERIOD OF PHONE AND GAVE ASSURANCE OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE BILL IN FUTURE .I PAID (RS 1300) MY PHONE BILLS UPTO NOV 2010.PHONE WAS IN SERVICE FEB 2011 AGAIN AFTER AUGUST 2010.BUT AGAIN DEAD DUE TO NOT PAID MY PHONE BILLS.NOW AGAIN THEY ARE TELLING TO PAY THE BILLS WITHOUT ADJUSTING PREVIOUS BILLS.AND I HAVE DECIDED THAT I 'LL NOT PAY ANY MORE BILL.PLEASE TAKE PROPER ACTION.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    With reference to MTNL Advertisement in Mumbai Mirror Dated April 10,2011 it states that all subscribers o[censored]nlimited broadband would get a increase in speed to 2Mbps in the entire month of April. This advertisement was even published last week and also the week before in Mumbai Mirror.

    However , even though I have a 599 Kbps Unlimited plan , I am not getting even 1/4th the speed on sundays. On enquiry with MTNL Cusomer care they sated "This advertisement is published but this service is not active yet". Therefor it is evident that a company like MTNL is giving fake advertisements in newspapers to boost their sales.

    In general for a plan of 512Kbps plan I should get a download speed of 60 KBps or above but I get only 40-45KBps.The line engineers are not ready to listen to my complaints or queries and one of them even said " Complain in Consumer forum". This is certainly not the way to treat customers. So what if its a big company like MTNL their actions and services too should be scrutinised.

    Spot on there, Bhavin Parekh, there was an AD in DNA as well calling Sunday a Funday.
    However, that is not the case, if anything it becomes worse on Sundays.The speeds are pathetic as they are around 40kbps.I have a 1Mbps(1000kbps) unlimited plan so one can imagine what the speed drop feels like & since its a Sunday the MTNL exchange will be closed & any registered complaints will be dealt with on Monday with the annoying query "what is the issue?".Many MTNL users are complaining on twitter.
    I hope they stop this 2Mbps sunday funday cause it feels like an april fool's joke being played on the customers & I for one don't find it funny at all.
    My point is MTNL should acknowledge the fact that users are getting pathetic speeds on Sundays or else MTNL may find itself with fewer customers come next Sunday.
    I also having same problem with MTNL triband they are fooling consumers by giving advertisements about unlimited plans but basically these plans come with pathetic speed which is of no use to downloads.For downloading a movie u need to keep your PC on for hours n hours.Connection timeout n drop in speed adds to frustration.In world of 3g they should really boost their schemes with more speed otherwise all users will turn to 3g option.

      I have a MTNL dolphin phone number [protected].I have always been very regular about my bill payments but this month unfortunately I was late in paying my bill.My phone was disconnected without sending me any information despite the fact that a security amount of 1000/- is with MTNL and bill amount was only 691/-.I paid my bill 3 days back but still it is non operational and whenever I tried to contact MTNL I am not getting any satisfactory answer.
      look forward for a prompt action

        My phone no is[protected] is dead.
        I o.p sachdeva resident at wz-2 gali no. 3/4 krishna park, tilak nagar, new delhi-18 is unable to make calls and recieve calls due dead phone so please take some necessary steps.
        For the past 23 days our MTNL land line has been dead. It is our daily ritual to spend an hour at[protected]MTNL complaint portal) to register a complaint--much like going to the temple. MTNL has taken absolutely no action and deems it fit not to take any. We also have called the lineman and offered him extra money, were he to take some time to do his job. Earlier we also had MTNL broadband, but had to cancel it simply because it was more often dead than alive. We'd like to keep our MTNL number, simply because it has been with us for more than 30 years and many people only know this number.

        The only good thing to come out of this is that the alacrity with which MTNL does non take action has cured my parents of some of their nostalgia for the "good-old days."

        Anyone has any suggestion--other than a complain portal?

        My telephone is dead since saturday. i have twice lodged the complaint on 198. myu docket no. is 5143. but till doay nobody has attended the complaint. even one personal visit was done to the Sahayog Tel. Exchange, Thane after loosing the tolerance by continuously calling the no.25892100 and also the board no. 25894191.

        MTNL — Landline is dead since 23 days

        In our colony, 5 telephone lines are dead since 23 days, none of the MTNL people including GM is giving proper answer.
        the line man Mr Mohan has visited couple of times & said 2~3 ,mahine mein ho jayega..

        we asked them to replace the cable if cable fault and we tenants will give cable as MTNL is not having. but even then they are not responding

        i tried calling sevral numbers[protected] / 24145556 / 24072000 / 24051300 / 24051400 & many more.. as soon as i call to any number they give me new number saying . go and approach on this.. but at the end no result...
        written complaint also given to customer care office , 3rd floor Matunga . but no update.

        Mr Mohan is also not good in talking ..langauge used by his abusive.

I have lodged complain to 25892198 & received complaint# 719 dt.07 Nov'11 & complain at dotpg cell at 2335666 on 08-11, 11-11 &[protected] & received complaint nos. B-15, E-322 & C-165 respectively.On Nov15' 2011 I visit to Tel. Exchange/Sanchar Haat & lodged complaint. My phone is dead till now i.e. 17 Nov'11.
        I request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

          MTNL is in deep slumber. Nobody dare wake it up. It will be offended.

          Bloody hell, when will this never-developing organisation understand corporate culture for its own good. Useless companies such as these contribute to making this country a never-developing country.

          Forget 3G, MTNL is not even geared up to provide proper 2G services. See the internet connection it provides over the USB stick. It is hopeless. Forget speed; it cannot even maintain continuity of connection. Same is the case with telephony. Hopeless network and call-drops. Try calling their customer care department. They don't care. You won't find them on their seats. The customer care number will either be continuously busy or you may never get the line.

          Hey Ram! When will India become truly independent. We were better off with the British!!

            Dear Sir,
            I hereby wish to lodge a complaint against MTNL Mumbai for treating their customers in the most disgusting manner. I booked Triband ADSL connection on thier infamous 1500 helpline. They activated a wrong plan and when I called them to log my complaint, I was given a total run around. They asked me to write an application to correct the error they have committed and visit the exchange personally. Each time I called them I was rudely asked to talk to a different department as my complaint did not fall under their perview. Till date I am helplessly waiting for someone to call & resolve my issue. If that was not over, to my shock I noticed the speed that was promised of 2 Mbps proved to be false. It keeps oscillating between 350 kbps to 1.34 Mbps. Please assist and intervene.

            i agree with u sir mtnl has pathetic customer service they speak as if they are doing some favour by providing me internet service and as if i am getting it for free of charge disgusting and shameful the department shud be called customer non service instead of customer service

              In-spite of above complaint my query is still not addressed..
              Problem : Since last 1 week my internet download speed has drastically
              reduced from 250kbps to 30 kbps..Even Youtube videos are not opening..
              Your customer care service is pathetic & they are of no help ...Your
              customer service agents dont even have the proper manners to speak with
              the customer they are roud & load..Since last 1 week iam following up
              but no response, even with local manpada exchange..

              IN CONTINUATION TO MY POOR DOWNLOAD SPEED PROBLEM. I HAD GOT A CALL FROM UR LOCAL MANPADA EXCHANGE FROM ONE MRS.KASTURI. SHE ASKED TO CONDUCT A SPEED TEST ON UR WEBSITE, WHICH I DID AND THE SPEED TEST RESULT SHOWED 90KPS AS BANDWIDTH AND CONYEVED THE SAME TO HER.SHE STARTED TELLING THATS A VERY GOOD SPEED U R GETTING..WHAT THE HELL !!!.SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND MY PROBLEM AT ALL..I TOLD HER MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY DOWNLOAD SPEED IS NOT EXCEDING OVER 40 KBPS.. THEN IS GIVE ME A FUNDA OF SOME FORMULA 320KBPS DIVIDE BY 8 EQAULS TO 40KBPS SEPEED, IS WHAT U WILL GET AS PER LATEST INSTRUCTION FROM MTNL MANAGEMENT..THEN I STARTED ARGUING WITH HER WHY MAKE A FLASE CLAIM IN ADVERSTISEMENT..THEN SEE GIVE ME NO OF ONE MRS YADAV...MR YADAV STARTED ARGIUNG WITH ME AND STARTED TELLING TO CONTACT THE MARKETING TEAM WHO HAD MADE SUCH A FALSE ADVERTISED CLAIM ON SPEED.. SUCH IS THE POOR ATTITUDE & SERVICE IF MTNL THANE..
              i have been promised 512 kbps download speed for which i pay rs 550 pm, but all i get is a poor speed of around 5 kbps. this isn't just a one time problem. there is some problem or the other almost every week. once i file the complaint with mtnl, the problem is solved in a day or so, but again after a few days a new problem crops up. there is no satisfaction as there is no permanent solution to any problem, inspite of the huge amount that i pay every month.

                  I have recharged my data card 4500, because MTNL customer care and Sanchar Haat Distributer told me if you recharge this amount then you can use unlimited browsing for next six month.But it gives only 200GB this is not unlimited.

                    Dear sir,
                    My broadband connection is not working as it was earlier. I am not satisfied from my internet working. I used to get download speed of 200 to 230 kps as i should but now im getting only 30-35 kps. I tried complaining (on 1504) but nothing happen. Before taking the service is was promissed that i will be recieving the speed as mentioned above[protected]. But now (uncooperatively) getting answered by them you will get this much speed only.There is also a problem of frequent disconnection.

                    I would request that u, go through my Problem i m currently facing as soon as possible My Address is - House no: 230, danpada, 21st road, Khar (w), Mumbai 400052

                      I've been using MTNL Broadband connection since past 6 months. The plan is DSL_Unlimited_395
                      which shows a download speed of 320 kbps (http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/triband/htm/tariff.htm#tariff)

                      The speed I usually used to get was 220 Kbps since October 2010 & only now since 1 week the download speed doesn't go above 40 kbps.

                      On calling up their helpdesk, they gave me different stories for about a week, which showed they had no technical knowledge of what they've been appointed for.

                      To my surprise the person MTNL sent to check my connectivity said that he has no knowdledge of the Internet or Computers rather.

                      Requesting for an advice on the same.

                        I am having 2 trump pre paid mobiles and have been using trump online recharge facility.
                        For the last 3 months whenever I try to recharge in the night or morning it stops in Customer Care and I have not been able to. Case in point is my mobile no. [protected] for which I am looking for data charge and for [protected] for a top up

                        Why should this trend prevail? Will MTNL authorities wake up and do the needful? They appear to be in deep sleep to market realities.

                            hi i'm shaikh aatif,i'musing MTNL 395 triband plan,my telephone no:28561009
                            since past few days mtnl triband plan 395 which offers the speed of 320 kilo bytes per sec,normally the 395 plan had a speed of 250 kbps,but since past few days the bandwidth of my 395 plan get reduced two low bandwidth which is around to 40 kbps,
                            i registered the complain but there are not responding on that,so i want connection to get back to actual speed,
                            I agree with u ...

                              My mobile number is [protected]. I applied for MNP on 26 Feb. at Delhi Gate sanchar haat.
                              on 3rd march i received SMS from MTNL notifying that no. will be ported in to TRUMP.
                              I waited for a week but still no. was not ported in. I contacted to the customer care many a times and every time they assured that no. will be ported within 48 hrs

                              but till date the no. has not been ported in to TRUMP and...

                              hello authorities
                              this is to bring to your kind notice that i have a connection of 256 kbps (telephone no:[protected] & i have lodged a request for about 4-5 times for a wifi modem from 3rd december 2010, but still i have not got it fulfilled. the customer care executives are making me call 1500,1502,1504 & its just a to & fro motion withoutr any output.
                              Please look into this matter, i even had visited the office & again they postponed my request saying that ya we'll send the person .

                                I had surrendered IPTV connection in February 2010 and till date the company has not returned my refundable deposit. Till last month,at least 6 times I received calls from Aksh-office and twice from MTNL (North),Wadala exchange but the money was not returned.
                                Last week I sent one letter to MD,MTNL, New Delhi under copy to GM, Wadala,MTNL and explained that this connection was taken only because MTNL advertised it and hence they must help me get my deposit. Since there is a delay of one year I have demanded interest @10% on my deposit.
                                Today I received three calls from[protected] {Aksh-IPTV,Mumbai} but they declined to give me interest.
                                If a consumer delays payment even by a day,these agencies demand and levy penalty.In my case I have waited for one full year and yet,they are reluctant to pay interest.
                                Am I wrong in claiming interest?

                                IPTV Connection — non refund of deposit

                                I have taken iptv in Feb 09 iam unable to see Tv i requested for cancellation after 5 months connection disconnected but 900 not refunded now i request you to tack back your modem and remote and refund my deposit my land line no 26349669

                                  I am having a MTNL Broadband Connection No. 22932215; I am facing too many problems like slow Browsing, DNS not pinging, cannot use phone and Broadband simultaneously. I talked many time on their customer care but still the problem is same, even I send a mail to MTNL people and the subject was If you have any shame then kindly rectify the problem which I am facing from last 4-5 months.

                                  I am very said to say that your officers or your employs are doing very pathetic job they are just making fool of the consumers and the Indian Government, If you have any shame then kindly rectify the problem which I am facing since I get installed your pathetic connection.

                                    I have used MTNL 3G data card.
                                    When I have taken it I have told that for 2 months 10 gb for each month is free.
                                    After that it will be unlimited plan for you.
                                    And they don't know the exact amount for unlimited plan.
                                    I have taken this data card from Sanchar Haat Hauz Khas.
                                    When I Saw the bill it showing 41024.00 for one month.
                                    I have called 1053 customer care.
                                    They are telling that software not working.
                                    i have mailed all the details [protected]@bol.net.in dated[protected] and personally visited Edigha Sanchar Haat Karol Baag , New Delhi.
                                    I have give an application to the SDE CRM and have a received copy of that dated[protected].
                                    i have deposited a photo copy of MTNL pay-in-slip which clearly showing New post paid 3G data card having unlimited plan.
                                    The original copy having MTNL stamp ,logo, and Signature in it.
                                    They assured me that in the next bill plan will be unlimited and the amount will be 1800 INR the rest amount will be waive off and it will show in adjustment column .
                                    But nothing is like that.
                                    Please help me what to do.
