Sir,

I took internet connection through my landline MTNL Phone No.25032320 last month. For the past 3-4 days when we open internet, it shows "cannot find server". Kindly look into into the matter at the earliest.
Sir,
I am presently having combo pack connection in which I have unlimited download. Earlier I was having 400 mb plan in which I was getting very good speed but since the time I have changed my plan, my speed has reduced drastically. On inquiry from 1504, I was told that with unlimited plan, I will get only 32 kbps speed. My number is 25392115.

It is requested that if my previous download speed cannt be restored, I would like to surrender my Broadband connection and will look for other avenues.

    I am using MTNL BROADBAND CONNECTION (TELEPHONE Number:[protected] with 256kbps unlimited plan and the speed for first 2 months was around 150kbps and now it doesnot cross more than 25 kbps and also the connection keeps on disconnecting and since last two days i am trying to download a 10 MB file and failed so many times.
    The service is all time worse.

    I have got triband connected from mtnl, but to my utter disappointment I am getting disconnected most of the time, and I have to keep waiting for hours to get connected again.I have been trying all the possible telephone nos. but cannot get thru either.I am a senior citizen with nobody at home.
    I shall be very thankful if my problem is solved, because of this connection I am able to talk to my children who are settled abroad.

    i totally agree same is the case with me...ok its unlimited but the speed should be atleast 32 for every 64KBPS speed the download speed is 8 kbps so now suddenly the speed has decreased to 20... that is even lower than the dial up.. MTNL is rippping us off our money... and the disconnections are almost constant... i wanted to use the internet yesterday so badly and when i came back home it was nto working.. i had to wait for a whole day just to send 1 e-mail. worst broadband ever. GOVt is doing the worst job ever. with MTNL the customer care is outright dumb underpaid people who dont even know how to speak in English properly dont know which modem we are talkign about... and take eternity to pick up the phone even at 4 in the evening. sad really sad where India broad band is being led too.. other countries have speeds upto 10-20 mbps and we are still stuck at 256 unlimited.
    hey guys, i have a similar problem.My plan is also triband 256kbps, and download speed is reduced by 10 times! Moreover about every 30 min the internet gets disconnected.If this happens to you too, please let me know.
    I completely agree with you people and I am pretty sure that even after writing here no action will be taken. Even i am using the unlimited plan but the speed is pathetic. The sad part is that i dont have airtel in my area otherwise i could have gone for that. I am so irritated by this but i am helpless. Other broadband services are a bit expensive but at least they provide proper service. Even their speed isnt so slow. This department is sleeping and as it is calling them on customer care number takes years. Its always busy and those people are as it is good for nothing. The department should shut down its call centers as they are of no help. All they do is to irritate you even more.
    It is the worsed connection i've even experienced. I was using 256kbps unlimited download speed was 23/25. then i changed to UN749 for upto 2Mbps the speed reduced to 20kbps now again i changed to 512kbps and the download speed is again 25kbps. Mtnl sucks like a pig.

    Inter net connectivity disappears more than 50 times a day from last two months .
    Complaints done but every time NO BODY attended the probelem .
    Very useless departmaent in this respect .

    i hv MTNL 799/- Unlimited plan speed will up to 2mbps.but mine speed is arnd 256or266 KBps.while in mine area mine other frnds hv same plan but they get speed upto 1mbps i.e arnd 2mBps.plz help me out.

    HI! This is dyutinkar and i want to express my views about this peace of .This is a disaster to the internet services.Its disgusting and i m fed up with its pathetic condition. When u need it badly its remain literally dead. Slow speed, regular disconection within fraction of seconds...no action to the filed complain and above all the CUSTOMER CARE.They seem to be busy with their personal problems online.Its a hopeless case!
    im using combo 512kbps unlimited, , , the very first 20 days the speed was really good...it speed was up to above 200kbps...now the speed has gone down to 40kbps... and this is happening to every mtnl user i have come across...
    hi, according to me mtnl broadband is the worst connection I have faced ever. customer care response is nil, area manager does not responce.
    We are using two connections(tel. No. 24371166 &[protected]with Triband unlimited plan speed of 256 kbps, but it showed the speed of max. 20-24kbps. now we updated to Unlimited Combo 512kbps of speed of Rs.1299. But anyone of them is not updated yet while in the customer care records it showing updated. router is disconnecting after every 20-25 minutes. I am facing lots of problems in every 30 mins. please do something to get rid of these unwanted problems.
    Totally agree. Absolutely ridiculous internet connections in india, MTNL is a crap!, the so called customer care "EXECUTIVES"(what a piece of crap!!!) don't know anything just know to register a compaint and give the damn number to the customer and saying "the problem is on the server side"! If it is the server then our govt should replace that trash with a new good one, with multiple large-scale connections. Already MTNL is stealing away enough money from the consumers, pay Rs. 800!!! for 2mbps plan (or 256KB/s) and that too with frequent disconnections and connection limits! Look at other countries, they have fiber optics connectivity or speed there goes upto hard-drive-crushing-54mbps or more! and you are still stuck at that old thin pair set of cables of an ordinary telephone line! Upgrade this trash, Bring the fiber optics network or replace the existing set of cables with thick ones! You gave those trash routers+modem (a white coloured MTNL's piece of trash) box to every home that trash doesn't allow more than 50-70 simultaneous connection when it comes down to peer-peer downloading. UPGRADE IT!
    I have mtnl broadband internet connection on Telephone Number : 27381874 under unlimited usage sceheme.

    The connection speed is very much slow & after complainting regularly there is no response from your department. I have complaint on 22221504 & My area head Mr. Jain Area Manager ([protected]) but i am sorry to say that customer care department is only doing formalty to registered a complaint but do nothing. Please resolve my problem asap and give me the status on my mail address or on my mobile ([protected]).

    i have 256kbps unlimited combo plan. i used to get 200+ kBps download speed but now it only 24-25 kBps.
    bsnl is providing up to 2mbps unlimited connection for about 600rs. however, we are stuck with mtnl's low and costly broadband. it is very bad.
    i am also using the same but do u know that whatever net connection you have say 256kb/s so you will only get 1/8 speed of it and you are asking for the 1/2 speed dude its impossible . earlier you were getting good speed because mtnl tries to attract more people towards its it's simple.
    so if you are getting 30kb/s it O.K
    I have taken a broadband MTNL Connection very recently, my Phone number is 25142165.My Internet speed is very low.I do not able to download anything.I am in plan Combo 599, where download and net surfing is unlimited.Please also remember our Telephone is not working properly also.Please do some necessary step to solve my problem.My Mobile number is [protected].

    I am the customer of telephone connection no.25517122 having beneficiary of broadband services with plan Tri BB phone 500 Combo. The MTNL, Delhi has advertised that the broadband speed to this plan is upto 2Mbps. But for the last two days I have checked the status of speed on delhi mtnl site which shows that the broadband speed on my connection is much below the standard speed of 256 K and broadband is running only with the speed of 211-216K only which takes me a lot of time to increase the speed. I have lodged complaint no.[protected] but all in vain. The broadband enquiry no.1504 is also not so useful, if no action is taken on the customers request.

    My request through this E-mail to kindly take immediate action on my complaint and provide appropriate speed which is meant for my said connection as I am facing lot of inconvenience due to slow internet services of MTNL.
    there r crap my internet is too slow its takes about an hour to download a 4 mb song and they do not litsen to complaints...
    I have a mtnl broadband connnection[protected], with unlimited data download. I am facing the same difficulties: speed is very very slow and the connection keeps on disconnecting intermittently, I have made several complaints but no one listens to them.

    Sometimes I am unable to even open google.com

    my telephone no. is 23642592, i am broadband user, comboplan, but from many days, more then 20 days, my net connection is not stable, it comes in breaking manner, i made many compliant through net but in vain, when i open the feed back of my compliant, the word appear that compliant done, it is very very wrong information to give me. today 18.01.09 the net is also responding in breaking manner.will you do the necessary action in this regard please.

    Hi, friends and respected people, I have Triband Unlimited plan[protected] before 8month but always seem problem for slow speed and its connectivity . And when i write complain many times 1504 and I personally go MTNL office Shaktinagar and say our problem but problem not solve and say fault in server.
    At least i want to say i am very-2 bore for this services.
    i have taken the unlimited connection plan combo(rs 599p/m) in last month december.but from very first day my both surfing speed &downloading speed is very dull...i am very much tensed about it.my downloading speed is only 3k/s.due to this i can't download anything.even the small pdf take several minutes.after complainting so many times there is no such positive action taken from mtn workers...
    Internet service of MTNL is not so good. when we want some information we cannot see it as the server of the internet is down. When we made complaint on telephone No.1505/22221504 no one listen to us after picking up the phone they are saying you are in que, no one give us complaint number. My telephone no. is 23362427. So please do the needful. The services provided by you is not so good.
    My internet connection slow and keeps on disconnecting

    I have just taken the unlimited connection 2 days before and yet I have not seen the speed more than 60 80 KBPS. Please suggest what should I do? Today in early morning around 4:30 am I had to send some importand document to my office by email but the MTNL server was down and it was giving some message that domain resolving bla..bla...bla... and was not opening any site.

    i m also using mtnl's garuda [mobile no:[protected]] rs.300 unlimited internet plan and i am also facing same problem.first 2 month i received very good speed(15to 22 kb/s data download )but past 3 months...i m receiving " 1kb/s "data downloading speed. i hav launched so many complained at customer care executive ...they gave me complaint no but there is no response after the complaint.any responsible authority please help me.

    I m in complete agreement with you. I m using MTNL Connection and this is my bad luck i dont have Airtel in my area. The conenction from MTNL is down from last 3 weeks and i have lodges complaint more than 25 times, however no action has been taken so far. As per a senior official of MTNL, the employees are busy for ELECTION preparation hence could not attend your complaint...just last few words...MTNL SUCKS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...

    I am on deputation to UN MIssion in Sudan as a Indian Aviation Contingent. I am having a internet connection in the name of my son VISHAL KHATRI at Mahavir Enclave Palam New Delhi-45.His No is[protected]. From last one month my family is facing a problem of connectivity.     MTNL Broadband internet service — Very low download speed

    I have subscribed to MTNL broadband unlimited plan and I have been using this service for the last one month. Initially there was no problem. but nowadays I happen to see that the download speed is vey low, that is around 25 kbps.Moreover, browsing speed is also very low. At times, broadband connection is not getting connected, and this is happening frequently. I have already lodged a complaint with the customer care. My particulars are furnished below :

    My MTNL No. is 25993478. my broadband connection is always got disconnected and very slow. I made many complaints in last 5-6 months. but of no use. Even i made many calls to our area manager
    Mr. Puran Singh but no result. i m fed up with this MTNL broadband connection.

    The service of MTNL is becoming worst day by day...

    I am a MTNL's broadband subscriber with the plan of 599 (256 Kbps, unlimited). My connections breaks down frequently. There are lot of outages in the connection and when i call them they tell that there is a problem in the line and will be done by the Lineman. I think being a big company, MTNL does have not inter-departmental coordination and just finger point each other. I would request if I could get some help from this forum to get the issue resolved.

    hi guy. i m abhilash. i m also a victim of MTNL broadband connection.
    i m using it from last 6 month. but frm the last few day i m getting only 25-30kbps. n before this i was getting 200 + d/l speed. i complained 3 day ago n today i got a call frm mtnl. when i told them that my d/l speed is gone down, instead of helping me they telling me that they cant do any thing about it. i have to contact some people in the office...
    by concerning comments above, i don't think it gonna work..
    n i cant even change my connection bcoze there r no other internet service provider in my area(delhi cantt)

    MTNL — broadband speed is too low and connection getting disconnect again and again

    i have taken MTNL broadband connection TriB UL data-256 combo in Sep, 2008 but it is a very low grade servive that you are giving to us. The net speed is not upto the mark and with that disconnection is there everytime.     MTNL — low speed and connectivity problem

    very low surfing speed with slow downloading and no connectivity some times google page takes over a minute to open . this problem occurs in 512 kbps plan . net is surfing like a bull-cart.

    MTNL unlimited connection — Worst Connectivity as well as low speed

    I am resident of Delhi Cantt. My Broadband connection has never given stable performance. I ran from pillar to post , lodged various complaints (sometimes been attended and sometimes never been attended for days together as good as 15 days).
    I took this connection mainly for internet connectivity and that had been main issue for its unreliability. My number is[protected]. Speaking to Area Manager as well as sometimes AGM has resloved problem but again the dis connectivity problem arises after 15 days. How many times i would visit Area Manager. PRO , MR Joshi who sits at Gopinath either donot lift his number nor does give any resolution, i fail to understand what is the use of these PRO's and huge infrastructure and so many Govt employees when they are unable to provide the services for what they are paid.
    When asked, they are not give non-compliance letter also. What should i do in these circumstances when there is no other service provider in Delhi Cantt and MTNL has been responding like this.
    Need a permanent resolution not temporary which only lasts few days..

    my mtnl net speed are very slow. if i download any thing and open any website, website not open and show refresh option for opening it. Also the downloading speed is 15kbps in IDM and 10kbps in torrent.

        Hi

        I recently experienced a horrendous experience with MTNL toll-free numbers provided for Customer Care.

        My Broadband plan was put undera wrong plan and so I decided to call their toll-free number 1504.

        After I selected the 0 option to talk to customer care, automated response told me that the waiting time is 1.5 min. To my surprise I held the line for 17min and no body reponded. All I was told by automated response was that the their people are busy. I thought it might be a busy day, so later I asked my 10 year old nephew to wait for the response after I dialled. Lo!! poor chap held the line to his reddened ears for 55 minutes and still was hearing the automated response that the waiting time is 1.5 minutes.

        I didn't give up so I decided to put an online complaints I went to the link http://customercare.mtnldelhi.in/
        I clicked on the Complaints link and was taken to the page where I had to fill my complaints within 45 characters !! (U know MTNL doesn't want too many words in ur complaint !). Check out the link

        Somehow I sqeezed my complaint within 5 words and when I pressed submit Lo and Behold!! It gives an Error ! "No Level Code Found" and you cannot submit the complaint.

        The MTNL department has blocked all the ways by which the customers can file complaints. I have been to countries like Uganda, Nigeria . But no where I have seen such pathetic attitude of a Govt. Organization as I see in India.

        I am still paying heavy rental due to the fault of the pan-chewing clerk of MTNL who had put up a wrong plan.

        If somebody knows a venue where I can file the complaints do let me know.

        And ya if somebody can visit the Customers Call centers. please do visit and let me know. how they manage to keep a call in queue for 55 minutes without answering..

        I am lodging complaint for defective instument of phone no.[protected] since 9.5.2009. In response after 3 or 4 days, a phone comes from concerned lineman that whether there is some problem and than he promptly drops the complaint. Due to no action till 21.5.09, complaint was sent to concerned GM by email as well as by fax . On 28.5.09 line man informed that phone is available however he will not install, whatsever I have to do, I can do. Two months back also this lineman has not attended the defect for 3-4 weeks and was seeking for monthly service charges no doubt as bribe. I am unable to understand why despite having phone, it is not being replaced/ rectified. He had also suggested to get the connection disconnected and to install Airtel. Not attending complainst for weeks and seeking extra charges reflect that they are having connivance with private operators. Further what the MTNL authorities are doing for dropping of complaints without attending the same. In such state of affairs what is the need to publicise MTNL schemes for new customers when they are harrasing us and compelling to disconnect the existing connections.

        MTNL — Rent of one month free

        My telephone no. 24647133 is not working from 20th February, 2010. I have lounged complaint (No. 181) in MTNL on 24th February, 2010, but my connection is not working till date and also I have lounged complaint in National Consumer Helpline (No. 218534) on 04th March, 2010. I have talked with exchange of my area (No.[protected], but they didn’t give any response to solve the problem, then I talked to Mr. B.B. Rishi (M. No. [protected]), he told me that problem will be solved in 4-5 days. Due to not working of phone I am in very trouble. During lounge of complaint in National Consumer Helpline, they asked me that if telephone connection is not working for more than 15 days, then customer is not liable to pay the rent of one month. You are requested to look into the matter and oblige.

        My MTNL mobile no.is[protected] which is not active from 25/01/2031.I have checked several times by using another phone but result is same.Please check at your end if there is any problem.I am using this no. in dual sim mobile phone, both were working properly before 25/01/2013 but at present when I use both or single sim, MTnl sim not work and hang the any mobile In which this was checked, while other sim is working properly.

          sir this is for ur reference from 8.45 to 9.00 i once tried to contact the hopeless 1504 (broadband help line) bell is rining AAP KATAR MAI HAI THEN original bel is ringing nobody there to pick up, sir can i hope any justice from or u advise me to disconnect the mtnl service.

          I am facing the probles for the lst 1-2 month and made a complaint lots of time even a written complaint is also mail to the customer care but no single responce i got from them.

          I donot not why MTNL launch IP TV while the TEAM of MTNL is not capable to handle even a single complaint of Broadband connection.

          Following are the points which harasses me during make a contact with
          the customer care executive at the help line No. "1504"

          #1 Excessive time consumption to contact a Customer care executive.
          #2. When the bell ring after waiting a long time the executive pick the phone and put it side
          #3. The attitude and the behavior of executives are not a professional.
          #4. No action has been done in prescribed / given time by customer care executives also no follow up is conducted to know the status of the complaint.

          There may lot of other types of problems but mainly I have observed the above said points. To prove my words I request you kindly try to contact on this help line No. (Between different time intervals) and feel the actual picture.

          Moreover, I would like to tell you that there is some problem in my broadband connection for the last one month (Frequent Link down of ADSL) and I have did complaint on this issue and as a result I got a phone call and the caller says that has had rectified the problem and Now it will work fine.

          But Nothing improved, Once again I did complaint on 06.07.08 with comp. No. 41600609 and I have get a reply that Digital signals are week in my line and it will be resolved within 24 Hrs. but till now I have not get any visit or any single call from your service Engg.
          I hope that you will take some concrete action to resolve my problem and
          will try to give a better service to your clients instead of enjoying
          the reputation of MTNL in the market.

            My land line is dead for last 7 days, and every time i make an internet complaint, i get a docket number and the complaint remians unsolved. When i track the compaint status as per the docket number, the docket number vanishes...It goes on for last 7 days. It is belapur MTNL branch. Every time when i call complaint registering telephone number it is always busy.

The linesman do not pay any heed on our request to rectify the fault. Is there anytbody who can listen our grievance and take action to repair the said telephone.

            Since last 10 days out landline is not working(partial).We are NOT SATISFIED with the services which ahve been provided by you.Most of the time our phoneline is not working & getting the problem very frequently(twice in a month).Every time the same/common comment we are receiving friom the linemen that is AAP KA INSTRUMENTMENT KHARAB HAI.We have changed the instrument 15 days ago & now againt out phoneline is partially dead(NO INCOMING CALL) since last 10days & again we have got the same response from the linemen on 12.09.09.

              we got iptv installed on 20th may 2008. Verbally as well as in writing you promised that services are free for one year.Now since the installation of iptv my bills are coming of great amount.You also promised trhat registration fee of Rs 300 will be taken by MTNL while MTNL is charging Rs 500.I have approached to you on 2690000 as well as MTNL. Both agencies are putting the case on each other.Now I request you either you solve this problem or else I will be forced to take some legal action. My broadband charges are 300 Rs and our monthly usage is very less that cannot exceed 800mbs which we are getting free in our plan.
              on 22nd of Nov.08 aksh install iptv after 4month booking in advance. Due to not satisfied by service and commitment, i had given rqst. for d activate servc on 24th of Nov.08 on hlpline no. 26991500 and a written rqst. on 8thof De3c.08 OB no. 7454, but till today nobody(From aksh or concrn) collect the accessory.

              Instead of solution there is a charge of Rs.200/ on Dec.08 bill kindly do needful for the same and cr. reversal of charges. DUE TO I am not using service.
              I am having IPTV for the last one year under the scheme of free watchin for 6 months. after six months I asked the AKS people if have they started charging for the movies, they said, " no they have not yet started charging any thing for the movies . I told them to inform me when they would start charging and they agreed. but last month when I got my bill they had added a big amount, when asked they said, " it is for the movies.
              These were the movies which i never watched and just opened to show my house guests, how the VOD works thinking that I will not be charged for the movies.
              Another complaint is IPTV not working properly. Minimum 4-5 days in a month it does not work and I am chaged for those days also.
              IPTV connection was disconnected on my telephone No.22143636 Sept-2008. Till then IPTV has not refunded my security. In the start of April an executive of IPTV promised that they will refunded my security deposit within a week.

              But i got no security refund. But it is surprise for me to see the bill of month April. I have no functional IPTPV connection on my telephone from Sept-2008. and they slapped a rent of two months of rupees 398/-.
              when i have no iptv connection on my telephone how they can slapped rent on me.

              kindly help me to refund this rent and get back my security deposit.

                  This is to inform you that i had asked for internet connection from versova telephone exhange and was given work order 2344 dated 7.2.08 and the connection was not given, after followup i was informed to convert to wireless connection for which the connection was avilable, subsequently a lettr
                  was given and requested for wireless connection.
                  they were not able to issue work order because they could not issue work order from the computer due to some problem in software.

                  after repeated requested it falls to deaf ears, kindly help me and give the wireless connection,

                    I am fed up of the Internet broad band connection given by MTNL

                    I have subscribed for a 512 speed plan...which is the most expensive one at MTNL on an average i get only 200 speed. MTNL has been overcharging for more than two years now...

                    Everytime i wait for 20 minutes to lodge my complaint...since the system puts on hold..try calling the 1504 and experience the pathetic service..

                    After a long wait when you finally are able to register the complaint...the MTNL people close the complaint without resolving it...My numbr has more tahn 200 complaints logged in an year..

                    The most recent complaints 40900025/40900035 have been closed without setting the problem right. It looks as if the MTNL babu independently decides to close the complaint to save his job without informing the concerned consumer. Today to my shock when i called to register my complain...after 5 attempts..i managed to speak to the person at 1504 and the response i got was that yor speed problem complaint has been resolved on 1st June. I would like to highlight that the MTNL staff does not bother about the consumer at all..and just to save there job they close the complaint...without actiually resolving it...

                    IS ANYONE IN MTNL LSITENING...OR THIS HELPDESK IS ALSO A FACE WASH.???

                    If you are getting a speed of 242.62Kbps for downloading then the browsing speed that you are getting is 242.62Kbps*8 which is much higher than the plan you have opted for 512kbps. If don't believe in this try going for another ISP from India and they will tell you these facts. So dude you are not getting slow speed at all.

                    I have Combo Unlimited 512 plan. My Broadband speeds have been reduced to 220KBps (browsing speed) on Sunday morning, which means nobody to complain to . MTNL customer service ? what a joke . It is nonexistent. Simply appaulling.
                    Inspite of paying for a 512 KBps. speeds barely crosses 400 KBps and now they have capped it to 220 KBps, go figure.
                    I was an airtel (broadband) customer, so I can tell from experience that they are anything but perfect, but they do provide a much better customer service than MTNL.

                    1.Why does MTNL have be make changes in Broadband speeds (Cappings/disconnections/etc) on a SUNDAY when they cannot receive complaints on that day ?
                    2.Why are MTNL Charges so high ? For the price I am paying for 512 KBps unlimited I could get a 1MBps unlimited in Airtel.. Isn't MTNL a government company, why is it charging so much, if seen in terms of speed the price in MTNL is double that of Airtel (excluding the prices of 256 KBps plans)

                      From last few "Months" I'm having problem with my MTNL Broadband.

                      DSL Router: UT-300R2U
                      Name: Dharmendra Singh

                      Everyday most of the time it just keep trying to connect to internet and i get "Authentication Failure" or "PPP Down" messages, It works fine for some time (Around 2-3 hours in brakes in 10 hours of time). But whenever i start my laptop i never be sure that internet will work or not, and most of the time it take hours to connect to internet.

                      When i complaint to 1504, they register complain for problem in line/cable, but no lineman comes to correct anything when i call them they just say you phone is ok so your line is also. I ask lineman to replace the old cable (it has multiple joint in it), but they say that they don't have new cable to change.

                      There are too many complaints i made on 1504 the most resent (unresolved) complaint no are : 41600457 (06-June-2008 ), 41600457 (01-June-2008 ), 41600457 (20-May-2008 ), [protected]May-2008).

                      Now before giving up the my broadband connection i want to know if the problem is in my line/cable or your server is used to work like this. But i don't know how to find out.

                      If you can, please let me know how to resolve this issue.

                      Well sir i am having just the same problem you mentioned.
                      when i switch on my 300R2U :
                      firtstly it takes about 5 minutes to open the 192.168.1.1 page.
                      after the page opens it shows ADSL LINK DOWN, PPP DOWN and AUTHENTICATION FAILURE alternatively.
                      It takes about another five minutes to connect to internet & the status shows UP. But still that doesnt last long and i have frequent disconnections and the page shows the mentions status.

                      The first complaint i booked was on May 16 2008 and since (July 1) then i have called up 1504 almost 3-4 times every week without any posistive response.

                      The problem is with the CPE or modem or router whatever is used to connect to the MTNL Broadband. Replace it. Also ensure that your computer system is properly earthed/grounded as these equipments are mostly damaged by the residual currents emnating from Computer Motherboards.

                      YES Really …MTNL NET does not work . It works totally 5-6 hours in whole month . After every 15 minutes it gets disconnected and whenever i check in MODEM page it always gives Point to Point protocol down (PPP down) .& sometime ADSL data link does not come . It gives maximum problem in disconnection during Month end . & access speed is also getting slower . I have also been complaining for the last 2 months but there is no hearsay from the MTNL . .. Although it was working fine 4 month before... There is very poor customer service from MTNL also ..
                      leave 5 or 6 hours, it didnt work at all. its useless to spend ur hardearned money on mtnl broand.
                      My connections was working fine since 1 month, but since yesterday router configuration shows PPP down.

                      I have started using MTNL's Internet braodband, 199 Plan, from 19 Aug, 08. but in the bill of Aug MTNL has asked tp pay the wrong amount. They have asked to Rs. 300, while after the connection I didnt use the Internet so much and for one week it was not working.

                      and when I called on 1504 and 1500 and asked the executives to tell my account usage, they replied that they dont have my account details. and give me few other numbers to call upon.

                      and the MTNL is such a third class department where no one picks the phone.

                      I am using MTNL Broadband connection last 3 years & my Ph: 25355682
                      Same here last 35 days i am facing internet problems. It works fine for some time (Around 2-3 hours in brakes in 10 hours of time). But whenever i start my laptop i never be sure that internet will work or not, and most of the time it take hours to connect to internet. When i complaint to 198 & 1504, they register complain for problem in line/cable, but no lineman comes to correct anything when i call them they just say your phone is ok so your line is also. I ask lineman to replace the old cable (it has multiple joint in it), but they say that they don't have new cable to change.

                      There are too many complaints i made on 1504 & 198 the most resent (unresolved) complaint no are : 5296 (01-january-2009).

                      Now last 6 days my phone is dead. Before giving up the my broadband connection i want to know if the problem is in my line/cable or your server is used to work like this. But i don't know how to find out.

                      Every month i am paying our internet charges. If i delay one or two days they taking fine for late payment. but last 35 days i suffering this problem & lost money who is responsible?

                      I have been suffering from the discontinuity of my MTNL line every month. I have logged on many complains ( thru 198 and internet services ) since 24th Dec. 2008, but no action has been taken by MTNL. In that case I would like to disconnected my MTNL line.                       I am using MTNL net since Jan 2008 & I took Triband Unlimited plan that time. Everything was going good. Until on 12 jan 2009 They upgraded servers and changed ports. Since after that till now my net is breaking a lot (Request Timed out). I can not upload, download or play online games etc. I had contacted them many many times but nothing is working out. Lineman come check and told me there is an earthing issue in telephone line. They keep saying tommorow we will get it fixed bla bla bla.But since 12 jan 2009 till now there hasn't been any improvement in any thing.

                      My net is worsen then Dial up connection now. 1504 can't do anything they always give me Area manager number & I call them they say we registered complaing it will be done. Even my father called General manager many times GM did some action and that day 3 line men came but issue didn't resolve. I am thinking to file case against MTNL for customer harrasement & cheating in consumer court. Please help me out best to resolve this issue as i am tired calling MTNL people now as they are total and dumb in computer lines.

I have made so many complaints but the problem is as it is. However, I am paying for internet every month which is mere wastage of my money as I am not given the proper service for which I am paying.                       Dear Sir,

                      I am a permanent resident of Mayur Vihar Phase-I, staying at Flat No. 65, Kala Vihar Apartments, Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Delhi since 1998. Recently, a land phone connection (Tel. No.[protected] along with ADSL link has been installed at my residence two months back approximately. Since inception of ADSL link, three times payments have been made but the ADSL link has never been improved so far. Most of the times at idle hours I found the ADSL link inactive. Every time complaints over phone are being lodged and surprisingly it was found that the ADSL link gets operative only after lodging of complaints.

                      In spite of paying the bills in regular course, this type o[censored]nsatisfactory and reckless service of MTNL for the ADSL link provided by the Mayur Vihar Phase-I Exchange is unbearable. As such I think that unnecessary keeping the ADSL link and paying the rent for the same is not viable. Now I am left with only two alternatives, either you continue the internet link in a versatile manner or the same may be disconnected otherwise. I have lodged several complaints over telephone at the exchange, but no fruitful result have come so far.

                      As there is no option left for me, I therefore appeal to you to take prompt action at your level so that the Broadband service provided to me is improved with immediate effect otherwise I am compelled to disconnect the same. I think that an appeal like this at the higher level is considered more appropriate when there is no result of appealing repeatedly at the local exchange. I hope that a favourable action will be taken by you.

Then I asked them to refund my deposited amount Rs. 500/- but they told me the amount will not refundable.                         Dear Sir,

                        I am Abhijeet Kunwar, an MTNL phone/broadband subscriber at A5, Sulta Apartment, Saidulajab, IGNOU Road, New Delhi – 30. My Landline no. is 29531983.

                        This refers to my request and complaints forwarded to MTNL Delhi customer care cell.

                        1. I had registered a request to install wi-fi modem at my place on 3rd July 09. The request no. for the same is 48300153. Its been more than a month now, and I have got no update at all on the same. On following up with customer care cell repeatedly, finally they conveyed that “a work order no. 2503 is already been issued”, and “contact local Tel. exchange officer for further”. When contacted the local officer (JTO), he admits that Mr. SDO, Mr. Anil Dong is the right person to talk on this matter.

                        2. For Last one and a half months I have been complaining for fault in the internet line but nobody has visited my place and checked the status. Customer care people lodge the complains and after following up for the same they suggest to talk to the local Tel exchange Officer (The latest complaint No is[protected]. When contacted the local officer (JTO), he talks about the bad conditions in the whole area and suggests to speak with Mr. SDO, Mr. Anil Dong (Apparently, he puts up everything on Mr. SDO).

                        Moreover, despite trying more than 50 times, Mr. Anil Dong did not respond a single time even so that the problems can be discussed. Neither he responds to his cell no [protected] (provided by local office), nor available in the office so that he can be contacted. In fact the office landline is never picked up when called upon.

                        Therefore, I request you kindly to intervene suggest me how to act further.

                          The broadband connection on my telephone number[protected] has been performing erratically. The ADSL light never remains stable for more than a minute and starts flickering off and on.

                          I registered a complaint about it on customer care (1504) and they gave me complaint number : 41601394 on 4th June'2008. They said the problem is with the frequency on my telephone line and would be rectified in 24 hours.

                          Nothing happened after that. No one from MTNL even asked me about the problem. I again telephoned customer care and this time they said that I should get in touch with Area Manager (Dwarka), New Delhi. I contacted him on 9th June'2008 after many dial attempts and he said that it will be done. Thereafter I received a call from MTNL asking me "aapka phone theek hai?" Before I could say that it is not the phone but the internet which is faulty.. the official disconnected the phone.

                          Nothing has been done by MTNL so far.
                          Even contacting Public Grievance Cell of MTNL on 23356666 and[protected]fax) has not yielded any positive response from MTNL.
                          Can anyone help?
                          No body cares about the complaints that we register. I am getting new complaint number everyday I speak to customer care at 23356666 and nothing happens. The executive has one standerd reply - within 48 hrs it will be rectified. Today the executive said - No idea how much time it will take - on questioning about when will 48 hrs complete?
                          Sad demise of a Navratna - We all should return the connection and take private company's connection. At least someone will listen to us there!
                          I don't think any one can help except the time and pleasure of the MTNL guys.

                          I am holding a mtnl broadband connection with my telephone No. 25364747 for almost one year but from the day of its installation, I have continuous problem with this connection as it mostly remains offline. On lodging complaint to your call centre, it is informed that complaint has been lodged and result would be given within 24 hours but nothing has happened and on further contacting, call centre people usually have words that we cannot do anything except lodging complaint. If customer is not getting solution of their problems then what the use of your call centre?

                          I have tried every means to get solution of my problem but nothing has happened so far, now I have lodged complaint on this format.

                          Sir, I, M Wadood Sajid ( an accredited journalist with the PIB, Govt. of
                          india, PIB no.2513) a consumer of M T N L, s broad band service against
                          connection no. 26984952 for the last several years.

                          though i have been going through various problems with the erratic services
                          of MTNL, how ever these days the level of problems and the dereliction of
                          MTNL, s staff and even the senior officers is ten times high.

                          sir, the router or the modem(whatever you say) installed at my
                          residence(R-236, lane no.5 Abdul hameed road, Jogabai Extension, Jamia
                          Nagar, New Delhi. 110025) is not working properly for the last one year. in
                          fact it was almost a damaged and out of order instrument from the day one. i
                          complained to the concerned staff, even the senior officers several time.
                          last time i lodged a complaint through the Internet complaint system(the net
                          receipt, DSL PORT 36979, is attached here with) on Friday, April 3rd 2009 at
                          1:41:30 pm.

                          sir i talked to SDO and other staff several time. the DA did never pick my
                          phone and his superior did not pay attention. i sent mail to

                          I purchased a 3G mobile connection with the following details on 24-June-09 from Sanchar Haat, Jor Bagh:

                          However, even after passage of a month, I find that the above mobile connection is not yet energized and, whenever I want to use it, gives a message “Your phone is suspended temporarily”.

                          I had already submitted the requisite Agreement form alongwith copy of photo ID. On enquiry with the Sanchar Haat Jor Bagh, I’m informed that they’ve sent all the documents to the Idgah office. Nevertheless, I again faxed a copy of my photo ID to MTNL on 10-July-09.

                          I also made two telephonic complaints - No. No. [protected] dtd. 16-July-09 & No. [protected] dtd. 20-July-09.

                          Yet, after all this, there is no resolution of my complaint & my phone is still not activated, much less on 3G.

                          I am holder of telephone connection No. 26264115 with broad band. My broad band is not functioning since last one month for which I have made several complaints to concerned authority telephonically on 1504. But I have been given only complaint number but no fruitful result so far shown. On[protected] I also lodged my complaint on telephone and I was given complaint No. 4812. I was further directed to contact Area Manager for urgent functioning of broad band. Accordingly I contacted Area Manager Nehru Place Exchange Area on telephone No. 26229966 in between 4 to 5 PM. I was assured by Area Manager that broad band will be made functional on[protected] in morning. But till 1500hrs on[protected] no rep reported to make it functional.
                          mtnl launchen 3g but its not work as 3g i meet to engineers also but they says 40 kbps speed is enough for 3g
                          MTNL services are really Ridicules, they proved that how to work in govt. sector and how to ignore customers. Because they know their job is safe, it should be privaties so that they know how to work in private company and how to respond to a customer.
                          I had launch lots of complaints regarding my internet connection and my landline too, but they( MTNL employees) don't want to work.

                            I have been using the MTNL internet since a month and found that the internet speed is very slow, I took the plan of 256Kbps and getting the speed of 120Kbps only and called 1504 several times but no response. and when I try to open www.microsoft.com. I am not able to browse the microsoft web site too, even I am not able to login to windows messenger or login to hotmail.com. I have called about this problem but there is no response from MTNL. my number is 27325396.
                            I think MTNL is not taking its customers seriously.

                            i m a regular customer of mtnl services since 36 yrs. but now it seems that mtnl is not taking customers seriously. As i hv gvn a written complaint to mtnl dept in my area that i was not in town from 9th may to 27th may and then also the usages of that period hv been shown. fir the first four months we got a regular bill of Rs. 392/- per month, but as the people from your dept. came to know that we r not using much mail, u people stated giving more bills and that too for the period for which we haven`t used it. so we are really NOT SATISFIED with the services of MTNL. It should be "MTNL HAI TOH SAHI NAHI HAI".                             I had the priviledge o[censored]sing MTNL services during the period[protected] under Nehru Place Exchange, New Delhi. My phone no was 26053606. I am serving with Indian Air Force and when I was posted out from Delhi in Dec 03, I surrendered my connection and put up an application for refund of my security deposit of Rs.3000/-. Till date I have not received my claim despite forwarding repeated reminders. While serving the Defence Forces of this country we are transferred from one place to another, for which we are not prepared to suffer losses. Consider the case sympathetically keeping the sacrifices we make regularly. The last resort for me is to knock the doors of the consumer forum.

                            My internet wasn't working. ADSL light wasn't stable, it was blinking.I lodged complaint on 1504. I was told that it will get rectified in 24 hrs.
                            They didn't solve the problem. Even, ADSL light went off. After 3-4 days i.e. yesterday, I called again, got a new complaint no. - 2522. Still, no action is taken.

                            I have been using the MTNL internet since 2 months and found that the internet speed is very slow, I took the plan of 256Kbps and getting the speed of 80~100Kbps only, now since 15 days internet conection is down, I called 1504 several times but no response.                             they told me that they will come to my place and install ping in my computer

                            They have really pathetic service even after frequent complaints for the speed they don't bother to look after it, i have taken plan of 512 unlimited but it comes just 256 or sometime max to 300 kb/s . Even sent them scrrenshot of the speed shown by there own speed tracker but they have same reply server down or its upto 512kb/s you are getting 256 its more than enough for u

                              I too am in agreement with the kind of service provided by MTNL. The authorities never respond to your complaints but the firm is prompt in slapping bills timely.When you approach the authorities in person, they were either on furlough or cannot help you. They are also indifferent to your problems. I am also a customer in distress.
                              I am a costmer of your telphone for a long time .IN this connection am suffering from the voice problem on the other side.please rectfy the problem as early as possible.

                                I subscribed and got new land phone at my residence on 15.03.08 and since then received nil bills from the mtnl new delhi for c/a [protected] (Full phone number is not given here) and paid the bills in good faith through internet.
                                The authorities have no problems at all despite my emails and reminders countless times from top to toe.
                                Then how the mtnl claims to be best despite having no setup for such plights and also charged one instalment of security(Refundable) despite advt in the times of india dated 12.03.08 that no deposit is required.
                                Even no reply has been sent in this matter as to whats happening?Except one formality letter with no details.

                                  I used to be a dedicated and a faithful user of MTNL triband since the past few years and i had taken a triband connection around 3 yrs ago or more i was not that well aware of the internet speeds!

                                  They fool the customers i had taken their plan of 599 that serves 512kbps that meant atlmost 1/8 of speed that is 64kbps but they still provide me with a fooling speed of only 26kbps ! this is almost 1/4 of the promised speed !
                                  i am saying all this beacause now that i have even seen the provision of other internet providers the speed is always 1/8 of the bandwith !

                                  Hi,

                                  This is Rajesh Kakkar from Navi Mumbai who has taken the Telephone Line only for the Purpose of Broadband Connection from MTNL.

                                  As there is lot of problem from their end to get the Internet Broadband Connecion as the Customers has to wait for More than 3MOnths and after that also they are not sure by when they would be able to give the connection.

                                  As I have taken a Plan of Rs.2399 which they can give to top Priority Customers and after they has given the line of Internet in the evening at my place and the line was not working by the next day. I had made the complaint that someone can come at my place and solve my problem.

                                  The worst thing in MTNL is at the time of making complaint in the call center the person is not giving their names and at the MTNL office the Staff is not able to tell their names this is Rediculous.

                                  As I have cancelled the connection in 2days due to no Proper service. They have send me the bill of Rs.1200 that is without using the service and the they has disconnected the line the next day. So pathetic service MTNL delivers.
                                  After One and Half Month one of the technical person comes to check is the line working.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I took MTNL Broadband connection on August 2007 at premium rates charged by them. For connecting to MTNL, I used my own modem. Inspite of that, they charged me modem rent wrongly and also charged Rs 500 for MTNL modem which I was not using. I called up MTNL customer service but they refused to help in this matter and instead told me to meet MTNL officers at Sanchar Haat. My wife went to Sanchaat Haat for complaint but officer there arrived in office at 11:30 AM. Instead of helping her, he told that systems are not working and told my wife to search through manual registers. He told to come again. After going to MTNL for 3-4 days, finally they took the complaint and told to contact another MTNL officer. After that, it took them 7 days to affect an adjustment.

                                    Requesting to look in this matter and save customer harrasment. MTNL officers act in a manner as Britishers treated Indians. For them, customers are dogs which have to kept at a distance.

                                    I received a bill debiting ADDL ADV CHARGES DPST RS=500/= which has already been paid by me in previous bill.Despite spending two days i could not get the tele no.from any of the MTNL source to contact appropriate person who can help me to rectify the wrong billing.

                                      Hello,

                                      I have requested and subscribed for TriB599 by changing my plan unlimited which is showing activated from 1st May 2008 since as per customer care's call on 1504 and 1500 it was not activated till 2nd may but on 3rd it's showing that plan is activated from 1st may 2008.

                                      also the downloaded data is added on new plan since till today 3rd may 10:45 pm i have not got the changed speed. Here i am getting the same speed as it was in unlimited plan 200 kbps to 222 kbps which should be according this plan upto 512 kbps for download/upload (with 2mbps).

                                      I am calling them from last 3 day but I am not getting the perfect answer or solution. please suggest what should i do for this problem.

                                      how can i move for Consumer court for the same??

                                      I, an executive of a limited company, would like to request you that we are bearing a telephone & Broadband connection with MTNL Delhi with unlimited plan of Rs. 649 per month. Broadband speed was 256 Kbps. I have change Plan and take TriB_Silver_Combo_Unlimited plan with broadband speed of 1Mbps of Rs. 3, 999 per month. Plan has changed from 1st June, 2009 but connection speed was not changed till 07 june, 2009. I have complained many time to customer care of MTNL, but always they has asked to solve this problem so early and couldn't anything for speed yet. I have also complain to SDO and ADO of Rohini sector 3 but nobody couldn't accepted to fixed this problem. I am very upset with this problem bkz we have urgent 1 Mbps speed for work. I am not understaning "who will fixed this proble as soon as possible". Please give suggestion to fixed this problem. I will be very thankful to you.
