More than a week back, my MTNL Line +[protected]Ghatkopar West, Himalaya Soc) got disconnected which was later discovered due to a cable fault, cable allegedly broken down by MMRDA...

This is the second time its happening since the last month and I cannot appreciate a disruption in service which lasts so long with no notice of when it'll get resolved

All calls to customer complaint... have yeiled no specific response

hence the online complaint.. complaint number at MTNL in 4929

My mtnl number is[protected] which is used in my handicabed booth at peera gari near land mark hotel (At bus stand). I have been complaining about my dead line mtnl phone for 15 days regularly at a stretch to MTNl Office which is situated at udyog nagar in Peera gari. They overlooked into the matter despite given many complaints by me. Now i want a favourable response from your end as soon as possible.

    Respected Sir/Madam,
    I am Lokesh Agrawal of residence GG-2, 56-A, Vikas puri, New Delhi-18
    On 28th feb,2010, I went to bed at 08:00 P.M. When I woke up at 11:00 P.M. same night, it displayed a sms on my mobile phone that you have successfully subscribed to a service Khel Khel Mei..
    I did not have any idea why Rs.30 from my balance was deducted.
    I registered a complaint immediately at customer care with complaint number 10300032. Nothing happened.

    Again on 3rd march,2010 I registered another complaint with complaint number 10300011. They promised to resolve it in 2-3 days.
    Now around 2 weeks have passed without any action...
    I want strict action to be taken against it..

      My net connection of MTNL has not been working since 6th March, 2011. I have made serval call to MTNL officials but nobody tried to solve my problem. Finally I lodged Online Complaint Docket No.7254 dt.[protected].

      From 6th March, 2011 onwards, I have been calling MTNL Officials but they continue to give some excuses. Left with no alternative, I had sent SMS to two Officials of MTNL (whom i have been speaking) on 11th March, 2011 stating my Internet problem have still not been resolved.

      If this is the attitude shown by MTNL towards its Consumer, then its high time the Customer's is left to choose their own Pvt. Operators, who give value for their money. In fact, I strongly suggest there should be MNP in these field also, so that the Consumers can choose the correct Internet Service Provider as is in the Case of Mobile Phones.

      Further, I wish to state that my Children are fully depended on Net as they to require to get lot of information with regard to their various Education courses and their exam schedules, etc. etc.

      My only request is that MTNL, Mumbai should immediately look into my genuine problem and try to resolve the same at the earliest.

      MTNL — non functioning of internet

      Dear Sir/Madam
      Our internet connection was installed on 13/6/09. At the time of installation the modem provided by mtnl was not a new one and looking faulty as appeared on the box of the modem provided by the mtnl. The same was brought to the notice of the lineman but he installed the faulty modem. Our internet is not working since 17/6/09. This complaint was lodged to the mtnl on 19/6/09 which can be seen from their record o[censored]rgent complaint. After that 5 days have been elapsed and despite several reminders no action is being taken by the mtnl authorities. If the same complaint is not rectified within 24 hours, I will surrender my internet connection.

        I applied for number portability from airtel to MTNL on 15th FEB. 2011 and my connection was cut by airtel on 23rd FEB. 2011 but MTNL didn't provide me connection even till today (11th march 2011) . I called their customer care almost everyday but what they give were all fake promises. They went on saying "JUST WAIT FOR 24 MORE HOURS , your number is under processing and so on " . Now they say that even they don't know for how much time I would have to wait now . Please provide some assistance. The officer of MTNL who is dealing me currently is ABHISHEK VERMA (VOICE GROUP COORDINATOR ).

        first clear this out :
        1.you have not been provided with the connection or your connection is not yet activated?i mean you were provided with the sim of mtnl while applying ?

        here's my experience with mtnl when i ported in.

        i have ported my two reliance cdma prepaid no. into mtnl gsm prepaid.

        i applied for first one on 21 jan 2011 and it was successfully ported in 3 feb.

        the second one, i applied on 25 feb and it was ported in by 2-3 march.

        the mtnl staff is not aware about how the things work.

        first of all do the following :

        1.call from any mtnl landline no. at your no. which you have applied to port into mtnl..and hear what the operator says.

        2.it will say either of two things :
        a. the no. you are dialing is does not exists.
        b.the no. you are dialing is invalid.

        3.if the operator says the that no. dialed does not exist then dude your request is not processed.

        4.but if the operator says that the no. is invalid then you are almost done and follow the do the next steps mentioned below.

        5.insert the mtnl sim..check out whether the signals are there or you get error "sim card registration failed"..you must get the signals by now..if not, then try to manually select the network.

        6.now, call 400 or 444 from it..either of the one no. will work..the operator will ask to you to select the language and then would ask to call again..

        7.by the time you would hung up the phone, the services would have been activated..

        this worked fine for both my connections that i had ported to mtnl...

        tell us ur experience..

          Hi,

          I was billed by the company for the internet usage which I never made. I had raised the issue that my usage is showing on the internet site even when my computer and modem is switched off. There was some password issue on their side due to which the consumption of some other person was showing on my account which only got sorted on 7th of January 11 but for the month of December and January I received a bill of Rs. 3000.

          I called the help desk even before the bill was generated but no body looked into it.

          MTNL — MTNL BILL TO HIGH

          I have a telephone number 21642003, we are resident of Mulund west. We have taken Triband 199 plan connection since 3 years and each month we receive bill of amount RS 500 to 1000.
          In previous month we received a bill amount costing Rs 3000, its showing an error, i have send details for clarification with MNTL but didnt got any reply.
          Please help me in getting my correct bill & also call details as soon as possible.

          Sub: Receipt of wrong mtnl bill against telephone no.- [protected].
          Sir
          The telephone no.- [protected] existing & working in the office of Manager (T), EMD-I, Rajghat Power House along with inter net facilities. As per record available, pervious bill were not received more then Rs. 1598/-, from bill date 10.9.2009 to bill date 06.3.2011. The bill for period 01.3.2010 to 31.3.2011 vide bill no. [protected] date 06.4.2011 has been received of amount Rs. 7478/-, which is illegal, when the use of this connection like net system & call, as usually same as earlier.
          The plan 1000 has been changed to PLAN COMBO UNLIMITED on 21.4.2011 vide request 48300134 date 21.4.2011, but received bill vide bill no. [protected] date 06.5.2011 of Rs. 2342.79.
          The bill is much higher sides. Competent authority of MTNL may please check the system on basis of earlier consumption etc. and adjust the amount in next bills.

              dear sir,
              i applied for the tri-band service provided by MTNL(MAHANAGAR TELEPHONE NIGAM LIMITED).
              its been more than a year that i hv stopped taking its services..
              i paid the bills regularly..but the service was very poor in quality,,the internet service provided in this plan was the worst ever i used...i used to lodge complaints many times regarding the same..now i stopped continuing with these products..the modem given to us by the company was on monthly rental paid..i have paid the rent for the same..n now the rent paid is higher than the actual cost of the modem..but the official are demanding to give back the modem as i m not taking their services now...now please tell me..is their demand genuine for taking back the modem...if yes than why..please tell>..

                NO LINE MAN HAS VISITED and it has been noticed that complaint no has been shifted from 178 to 134 without any closure.

                Its been observed MTNL Service Team is not at all bothered to care for user complaints.
                days are passing but no technician is found to visit and resolve the issue.

                    Not working ever since I bought it


                    Sir,

                    On FAB .2011, I paid Rs.1995/- cash at the Sanchar Haat, NHRU PLACE , New Delhi and bought the MTNL 3G Jadoo Data Stick together with 3G Card (IMEI Number [protected] and Mobile Number [protected] ). Under the scheme, I was allowed unlimited download for the first 2-months from the date of its' purchase.

                    Since the date of purchase and until today, I tried to use this Card and the Stick to operate internet. But I regret to say, that except at one occasion (within the 1st eek of its' purchase), this stick and the card never worked. With great difficulty, I am able to connect to the net but the download never starts.

                    I tried to seek MTNL help through emails, phone calls to 1503 and 1504, and the technical assistance number [protected]. Each time, my call was disconnected with rapid comments that "who suggested you to buy this product of MTNL, because MTNL is still in the age of developing support for this product".

                    As the money against purchase of this product is not refundable, will you please help me in resolving this problem of connectivity.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I am user of mtnl broad band, my telephone no is[protected], I have problem with broad band since month of July 2010, Some time working some time not. After October 2010, phone was completely not working, I was complaint about it in mtnl office and call centre (198 and 1504) but problem is not solved till now, Please check attached screen shot of complaint on mtnl site.

                      After complaint I didn’t get any solution from mtnl but continually I was getting bills of approx Rs 800 per month till Feb 2011.
                      Wait of long 3 months, I stopped to pay bills now status is DNP (do not paid).

                      When I visit to mtnl office, they told me that I have to pay pending bills first but why should I pay bills if phone and broadband was not working during that period. One more thing mtnl staff informed me that somebody (mtnl staff) changed my complaint status as active. (Who did this without user confirmation)?

                      I am very frustrated with very very poor service of mtnl. MTNL cheating me. Now i am thinking to disconnect my phone and broadband connection (If i will not get helped from your side).
                      Please help me to wave off these bills.

                      I am holding the MTNL landline no.28954161 along with broadband service in my name registered with MTNL. My CA no. is [protected].

                      On scrutinizing my bill for the month of Feb 2010 (bill No. [protected]) I foud that the broadband usage charges is Rs 3395 and my total bill for the month is Rs 4599.

                      I am having broadand connection from MTNL since May 2006 under the same scheme and for your kind information that my broad band charges have never exceeded Rs 400 from the time of installation of the same. The question of misuse of this facility and phone does not arise as the same is installed in my home and is always in my possession.

                      I have all bills for the last four years and all my payments have been on time.
                      I feel that there is some error or negligience on the part of MTNL for this excessive bill.
                      I have already complained to the concerned authorities in MTNL by e-mail.

                        I am trying to reach the Dolphin Customer Care number 1503/[protected] since the past 3 months but no one is answering the call. Everytime I dial the number, no one picks up the phone / an automated voice tells me that all executives are busy and will handle the call shortly but that time never comes/ the call gets disconnected automatically. Also I have not been receiving the bill for the current month on my cell number. Earlier I used to receive a message from Dolphin but suddenly the service has stopped.
                        Can someone help me?

                        I am fed up calling customer care & number from Fort Area that was given to me by customer care.

                        The problem is :-

                        I have taken two sim cards :- [protected] & [protected]
                        I have activated jeevan sathi plan for the same, in which monthly rental of 20 rs is charged.

                        For past 1 month there's heavy disturbance while incoming or outgoing on this numbers.
                        I am able to message & call, that's not the problem, problem is heavy disturbance.

                        Custome care really dosent care what customer's are going through.

                          This is to bring to the kind notice of concerned authorities that I called customer care for some complaint but I was treated by an highly uneducated person who was completely "UNETHICAL" while talking, and when I asked him about the process of lodging complaint against such a behavior, he said "Tu kya koi Governor hai jo meri complaint karega" and used abusive words and then disconnented the call. I think this is the height of tolerance and now I m planning to go Consumer Court and sue the customer care of MTNL as a whole. Somebody interested in helping me can help me!

                          Yes, I too faced the similar situation and lodged the complaint with the higher authorities of MTNL by sending all description in mail . But all in vain. No response till date. Probably they are habitual offender and least bother such incidents. MTNL is surviving by keeping the morale of their employees high with a slogan "Hum Nahi sudhrenge".

                            SIR,

                            I have purchased the MTNL 3G Data Card on 12 Feb 2011 and instead of providing the promised speed of 3.6 MBPS it provides the speed of 4 KBPS only. it is minimal speed and useless. Although it is a government agency it is a big cheat. I want my complaints to be addressed as early as possible and payback my money.

                              BOUGHT DATA CARD 3G FROM MTNL. AROUND 15 DAYS BACK, FROM THE DAY ONE IT GIVES LESS THAN 8 KBPS ONLY, I CONTATED THEIR CUSTOMER CARE FOR THE LSAT TWO DAYS CONSTANTLY AND LODGED COMPLAINTS, COMPLAINT NOS ARE 273553 AND 273930 AND ASSURED ME THAT THE WILL CALL WITHIN 30 MINUTES TIME. BUT MY SURPRISE TODAY AGAIN CONTACTED THEIR REPLY IS COMPLAINT IS STILL PENDING AND THEY DO NOT NO WHEN THE SAME WILL BE ATTENDED ALTERNATIVELY THEY GIVEN DATA CARD PROVIDER'S COMPLAINT NOS. [protected] WHICH DOES NOT EXIST AND [protected] NO BODY LIFTS THE CALL ANDTHEY ARE DISCONNECTING THE CALL. NOW I DO NOT KNOW WHERE I SHOULD COMPLAINT TO RECTIFIED MY DATA CARD
                              I EXPECT A REPLY WITHIN 24 HRS. FAILING WHICH I POST THE COMPLAINT TO TELECOM MINISTRY.
                              dear sir, i m olso hvng mtnl data card...n m facing a problm of slow spped, frequent disconnection problem.i called mny tyms on 1503 but no reply.and they gave me other alternate no.1.[protected]

                                my M.T.N.L. phone no is [protected] not working for last 20 days. REPEATED COMPLAINT. STILL NOT ATTENDED MY COMPLAINT NO IS 8690/ 104073 ONLINE COMPLAINT
                                Sir,

                                I have configured my WiFi modem on 25th Feb'11. From that day onwards, my modem is creating problem as it starts working when my Computer starts, but with in few minutes when we try to access the internet, all the lights in the modem gets off except the INET and USB.
                                The ADSL light never remains stable for more than a minute and starts flickering off and on. There is no permanent stability due to which i am suffering from a great trouble. I have lodged the complaints in the MTNL but every time they give me new Complaint no.
                                I have received a call from MTNL and told me that "aapki line theek hai", but no issue has been solved.
                                Please look forward to the problem as soon as possible.

                                Hello sir, my landline no[protected]is not working(telephone line became dead)since yesterday.Because of this even my internet is not working.There has become a cross connection because whenever i dial my landline no, instead of giving the engage tone(since it is dead)it gets connected to some other number and some strange person picks up the phone.I even tried calling 25412198 but its not getting connected even from mobile or any other landline no.I'd request you to kindly look into the matter and solve it as early as possible.

                                  Hi, my name is Delip. I am using mtnl broadband for more than 2 year. For the past 8 months im not able to use my mtnl broadband services as it is disconnecting frequently. I have complained about it several times to the customer care. Earlier, they used to sent their lineman.

                                  The problem is the internet get disconnected very frequently in every 5 or 10 mins. Every month i m sent with the Bill without service is being used.This is crossing my patience. Complaining about these things is not working. MTNL is not bothered about their customers. The line man that came to check the internet found that internet connectivity is their wheather it is disconnecting or not and according to him their is not internet problem at all as it is very common problem of disconnection. I have the numbers of Nodal Officer(AP Singh[protected], Appellate Officer[protected] RA Gupta and Broadband manager (Mohd Nisar Ahmad[protected] and Kalkaji region official (Balram[protected] but none of them able to coordinate with this issue. The number of AP singh and RA Gupta rings buts no one pick up the phone. I have tried several times. For the past 8 months I have paid the bill out of no objective. Kindly help me out with dis.

                                  MTNL — frequently disconnect

                                  i have broadband connection unlimited plan. when i started internet, frequently disconnect. pls. check.
                                  internet is down 15 days a month.
                                  1504 complaint number provided by the mtnl is practically useless.
                                  no-one to listen.

                                    we have complain about it through phone on 198 several times but no attention is paid by mtnl service lineman.
                                    Also we have register a complain personally in district mtnl office but no action is taken.

                                    My phone - # 25083038 has been dead from 8th June I had a complaint registered on 11th June on the automatic voice response number. After that no one has even bother to come and check and rectify the connection. Then I spoke to a person on the number given on the back side of the telephone bill and I was told that the people will come on Friday 29th June. I stay alone n I took a off from office to stay home so that the people can come. but no one showed up. Today i called the people again and they again committed me to come today and i have taken a off today again. but still no one shows up. MTNL sucks...
                                    my landline connection is not working from last two days. phone seems to be dead
                                    while on complaining at 198 they said there is no number in there data base. while my number is[protected].( triband combo offer)
                                    kindly do the needful as soon as possible

                                    16/04/2009.i have complaint many times but no responce is coming.the service provided is very poor.
                                    please activate as soon as possible.i will be highly thankfull to u.
                                    The phone is dead for the past 3 days. Complaint docket No. 7052 is pending for the past two days. No action by MTNL till now...Why is there such a deficiency in service? MTNL must reduce the monthly rental (for landline and broadband) accordingly: But WILL THEY DO THAT at least?

My phone was not working properly & i complained him about this and he said that he will get it check. next day i went again but still my phone was not working properly. one line man came and he said that he is going to check it but still my phone was dead, i was waiting for him but he did nt come His Name is Mr.Ramnivaas. i go there everyday but i did not get any positive response. even Mr.Mittal was talking to me very rudely. still my phone is not working properly and they are saying that they are checking it. from last 20 days i am complaining about my no. and i did not get any response. Mr.Mittal's no. is 23841900. Please do something. I am using this no. in my office and widout Phone & broadband my business is not running properly.

                                        I have a IDEA connection which I want to transfer to MTNL. I have submitted all documents related to MNP at Sanchar Haat, Mayur Vihar phase 2 in the forst week of feburary but till today there is no change in service provider. When I am calling at Sanchar Haat, Mayur Vihar, noone is there to give correct answer...they always saying "Concerned person is not on desk right now". when call customer service they said no some document related issue you need to contact Sanchar Haat but noone is there to response. This is MTNL.
