Dear Sir,
I, Anshul Vyas, am a resident of Thane(Maharashtra). I have been a customer of MTNL from past 12 years. I am extremely sorry to inform you about my experience regarding service from MTNL. I order for change of my broadband plan from Trib 200P to Unlimited 999 plan with docket number G6127172, on Customer care of MTNL, in the month of March 2009. I was told that my plan would change from April 1, 2009 and I was confirmed twice regarding this by Customer care executives. I also inquired regarding change of plan on 1st April 2009 and I was assured that my plan was changed. My plan hasn’t changed yet and because of that I have received a huge amount of bill(26, 000). I went to MTNL Bhyandar to get some solution to this problem and the result was that theres no coordination in the staff and even the people of Managerial Level did not bother to pay attention to my problem. I am extremely sorry to inform you that even in these times when the Consumer is treated like king, I had to plead to the Managerial Staff of MTNL to understand my problem, Sir, I would request you to take quick action regarding this as the managerial Level people are putting the entire blame on us. Your early action will be highly appreciated.

i am facing a nearly similar issue, only thing is that my plan is being changed and i have also verified it bymyself 849 NU to unlimited, but my accounted volume on the site shows all the total downloaded volume..which is huge upto 30GB, so i am concerned with the bill now as although MTNL staff say that its no prob, and whatever might be the download, the charges will be nil, and only rental will be billed..

Just wanted to know what did you do after this above mail u sent--may be i could get some precautionary tips..
please buddy--help me out here if possible..

    MTNL,Mumbai — issue of airtel sim cards

    in one of your marketing strategy of issuing airtel pre paid card to govt.employees i would like to draw

    your attention that my cousin sister got misguided by shri deepak more, [protected] at her residance in

    rasayani area situated near panvel.

    the fact that he took re 900/- for activating & rifilling the two sim cards having number

    [protected] &[protected] but not issued the sim card & he is untraceable from 07/04/2009.

      When on this earth will india grow? MTNL Staff creates customers as if they are sharing their monthly salary with the customers, they command more then they talk, they use dirty language and you ask something politely, Can we have new generation people?

        I am using MTNL's Internet service at my house. It is not working since 01.05.2009. I had lodged a complaint on 1504 (complaint no 3465) and also had a talk with area broadband manager on 22572323 regarding this but nobody has come to redress the problem till date. Please do the needful.

          My MTNL landline phone[protected] is not working for the last five days i.e. from 13th May, 2009 onwards. I have lodged three complaints with MTNL being complaint nos. 1624 dated 13th May, 2009, 761 dated 15th May, 2009 and 334 dated 18th May, 2009. The IVR automatically deletes the complaints after two days without getting the phone repaired.

            Mtnl is marketing their broadband service by saying that they are providing exact (256 kpbs) speed for their basic plan, but this is not true company is just playing with the consumer rights, in this service segment other companies like (Airtel, Tata Indicom etc) is following the way of ethics because they are showing in their advertisement that they are providing speed o[censored]p to (256 kpbs) not like Mtnl exact (256 kpbs) in short we can say Mtnl is making fun of consumer rights they are not selling the service which they are showing, I must say Mtnl should stop making fun of consumer rights.

            I am a MTNL broadband service user, on 17/ 04 /2009 I logged on to the services and found that internet connection was not there in revert I called up customer care on 1504 and filed a complaint regarding the same. Also I would like to lighten up the fact that the so called Customer Care Executive of yours are worthless, illiterate and rude but I am a customer so I’ve to take all the useless services they are providing. The complaint no. dated 17/04/09 is 41602208. I was promised the problem will be solved within 24 hrs.

            Next day i.e. 18/04/2009 I was sure nothing would be done regarding the problem as I am experienced enough with your excellent services so I waited till noon and called up the useless call centre no. 1504 and the second complaint no. dated. 18/04/2009 which is 8251. In revert I received a call from MTNL regarding the problem after explaining it I got the response back that we’ll see about it. Well I waited and waited ………….

            Then comes 20/04/2009 its Monday and I specially took off from work to get the problem solved. I tried the magical four nos. i.e. 1504 and again had the wonderful experience. This was not enough then I found the contact no. of Mr. A.P. Singh ( mandal abhiyanta broadband ) spoke to him at 1145 hrs. and gave him all my details, well you must be thinking it should had some instant result. Yes at 1400 hrs. I received a call from broadband services that there is no broadband connection on my number i.e. 29991299, well for your kind information I paid my latest bill of Rs. 2911 on 18/04/2009. This was not the end then I called up the office of G.M. Nehru Place I spoke to a lady named Ms. Pooja, she also did the same, took all the details of this problem and assured to get it rectified.

            Well I am typing this text at 0100 hrs of 21/04/2009 and would mail you in the morning from a internet joint, I am telling you this because my old parents cannot go to these joints for communicating with me. I am going to United States tomorrow and I hope you won’t need any more time this is heights of testing somebody’s tolerance. Sir you must be thinking with so many grievances in mind why I am still using your services it is because I don’t want my parents to get this impression from MTNL, the company which provided us our first tele communication source.

            I have net of MTNL which doesnot work.The service of MTNL is so poor that i can't describe in my words.We have MTNL net because in our area (VISHNU GARDEN),AIRTEL does not have net lines.ENGG does not come,net does not work etc etc.,large no of problems are there.
            This is regarding my mtnl broadband connection, i had complained several time on 1504 with complain nos.1996, 456, 968 etc. These people are never bother to pick up call also. i had recd a call from line man and he asked about problem after 5 min i recd text sms saying that complain has been attended.             Hi,

            I had mailed twice to mtnl nodal officers but got no response. The broadband service of MTNL had been sloppy for more than a month. Raised numerous complaints but nothing is sorted. Even till now the broadband is not stable and lineman says that line is okay and it will be fine now. I wanna escalate to TRAI as these lazy and lethargic managers of MTNL should be awakened from their deep sleep.

            Inspite of so many complaints about unstable internet, the problem still persists for more than a month now. I have raised several complaints and have many docket numbers with me but nothing has happened. The customer care people makes false promises tat it will be resolved in 24 hours but its more than 24 days now and problem is still persisting. You guys doesn't even care to acknowledge the problem and send a line man. Once a line man came after month of follow up but he is too old to rectify the root cause o[censored]nstable ADSL. I will raise this to consumer complaint forum and also to TRAI and i want appropriate compensation for agony i faced and bills i paid for nothing.

            We regret to inform you that we are very dissatisfied with the Broadband services provided by MTNL . Every alternate day there are disruptions in connection and we suffer a lot since day to day work is totally based on a good internet connection.

            Earlier we were using Tata Teleservices and were quite satisfied with their services . We switched to MTNL for speed and economic connection but it is proving to be a costly decision .

            We have to lodge complaint every alternate day . Todays complaint number is 6671 but it is of no use since your technical staff does not consider so many complaints seriously. We are thinking of reverting back to Tata teleservices if the state of affairs do not show any improvement.

            Our faith in MTNL has been shattered and its now upto you to decide whether you wish to retain your customer or not.

              Network Problems

              My MTNL Trump's network is down on most of the days. Every month the company switches off the network completely for atleast a day on pretext of "maintainance work". And thereafter, the calls keep dropping even more. I fall in the Green Park-A cell site, and this tower is down for atleast four days a month. Furthur, when the network does work, the calls either don't connect or keep getting disconnected. Offering cheapest...

              I have installed MTNL's TriBand Broadband connection in my house, telphone no. being[protected] at 624, Lodhi Road Complex, New Delhi. Since Wednesday, i.e. 6th May, 2008, my internet connection is not working at all and as such I have been complaining on 1504,[protected] & 24638700 daily. Inspite of giving me assurances nobody has come yet to get my connection working.

              I want to know this how MTNL takes care of its customers. It's been 5 days since I am being harassad daily. If on Monday i.e. on 18th May, 2008 nobody from MTNL comes to my house to repair the internet connection, I'll definetely look for the option of consumer forum.

                My name is surender kumar sharma.my landline no is[protected]. and i am using the mtnl broadband service. my problem is that my internet is giving me alot of problem.. there is no adsl/ link light is there . and if it comes for some time the speed of my internet is very slow. i am loging a complaint from the last 2 months on 1504 and they are giving me a complaint no 40500023 and 40900005. if some body come to my home from mtnl they come and see my internet and leave the home . telling me that we will solve. last week they come to my home and chane the wire telling me that ur internal wire is not ok. but i am faceing same problem. and complaining again they come to my home and change the modem. after that the same problem is there. plz solve my problem as soon as possible .

                I agree with the view of MR SURENDER KUMAR SHARMA about slow speed of MTNL broadband services in Delhi. Many times, router ADSL light dont blink properly. Day by day services are worsening. The faulty wiring, leakage, wiring are broken. Jumper box wiring are nude. Properly wiring are being done to the home.

                I agree with surender kumar sharma how ever in his case even MTNL technician came to his premises . I also have MTNL connection with broadband my number is 22481923, When i was in Seikhsarai Area i never faced any problem but after shifting from seikhsarai to ganesh nagar i m facing problem on regular basis In my phone i m not getting dial tone i complained but no one came, after making complain several times and having no any action on it, i called on there number[protected] and asked for time frame, they replied me "We cant't say when will it be right i will forward ur compain if you have any problem call to GM " this was the exact word in very rude manner.

                I think this should not be the way to talk to the customer . Firstly your not providing us good service and secondly speaking in rude manner with customer . No one is to look after this, there should be the strict rule and the employee those who are not performing their duty well should be punished . And even they should feel same of taking free salary
                I agree with you, in this case you can do the following for best result:

                1) Connect the wiring coming from DP directly to your Telephone Junction box (A small black connector given by MTNL)
                2) Add splitor on it (White Small junction box given by MTNL, than add with Z type socket wire do the connections.
                3) from splitor supplt signals to the adsl router.
                4) ensure no hand set its is attached on thhis line
                5) Try this, I hope this will work ok
                6) now connect hand set to small box given by mtnl
                7) dial is there u can use phone.
                8) Please get checked whether you telephone line is leak any where, from where it is earthing.
                9) If problem is persisting you can dial us at[protected] for any help at any time.

                  I have opted for TriBand 599 Combo unlimited and I got speed of 26Kbps. Therefore I have changed my plan to Triband 599 Unlimited 256 Kbps but the speed is still the same. I have filed number of complaints but there is no response.My phone number is 25995963.

                  I Have Been using MTNL Broadband From June 2009.However, According To My Plan I am Paying 512kbps.999/- Unlimited.I Was Getting The Downloading Speed Not More Than 230kbps But Never Complained.Since the last 3 weeks,The Speed has Come Only to 30kbps.Since In The Same Plan MTNL Has Only Upgraded The Speed Past 1-1/2 Week To 1Mbps.
                  I have Gone Personally And Given A Complain To The Manager On Which He Sent People Home Who Really didn't Know What To Do.Then,The Manager Contacted And Said He Would Update The Speed From Prabhadevi On Which D Speed Is Still The Same.I Contacted Him After Few Days On Which He Said He Cannot Do Nything As They Are Offering The Speed And I Need To Upgrade My System..As Previous I Was Using A Old 1 N Now I have A New 1,I Dnt Find The Sense In What He Said.

                    I hope this mail is in someone’s hand who can do something for me. I was or rather I am customer of IPTV service provides by aksh and mtnl. Frankly speaking I have never seen such kind of service in my life time, I services are tremendously poor.

                    I applied for the disconnection of your services and after that I called up around 10 times at your customer care center rather I should it’s a customer pain center, but not a single person called up from your side or not a single follow up call from your side.

                    I don’t know you people on which century now days you call for a thing and u get it right away.

                      I am also facing the problem of low speed and not working properly since 3 month. I get new complaint numbers every time I call 1504. And they say is that is ur pc problem. And the response of MTNL staff on telephone is also very irritating. They just ask whether ADSL light is ON. They are not concerned whether there are frequent disconnections. My phone number is 27700162. I am totally fed-up now, and think how can i do. And this is after 2 good years of broadband experience with MTNL.

                        MTNL BROADBAND,
                        i have taken internet connection with unlimited plan and i am regular in paying the bill.But the connection is very erratic.In the month of April 09 i was not able to acess the net facility and phone because it was dead.Even after incessant calling from outside things has not been rectified.( complaint no-155).Now this month after bringing mtnl people physically it has been rectified with temporary error.Why should i pay the bill of APRIL if i have not used it.So i request you to resolve the problem.

                          Internet Broadband Problem — MTNL Broadband Problem from Last 45 Days

                          Hi My Self Pawan Kumar,

                          I have Taken One broadband connections ( plan 599 unlimited ) from MTNL Delhi ( Phone Number[protected] .On september 2 2008 On Paper My Internet is connected, But there is no one is come here just one man came and dropped all the indtruments and told to my mom that he will come on next day..

                          but no one came.
                          So many times i lodged a complainents in MTNL broadband services departments..

                          On Regulary basis i did same thing but no one came..
                          Atlast i got " DElhi MTNL Boradband Head " Number from 197 number...

                          Around 10.30 PM i called him he told me that your internet problem will be resolved with 24 hrs...

                          But no one came..its a really bad news for this us..
                          even many times exectuive told to my mom thats if anybody asked you regarding broadband connections just say its working..

                          I already pay bill to MTNL without using their services..

                          Please anybody can take strict actions against MTNL broadband Department..

                          I have already made a complain vide docket No.40929 dated 16/09/2009.Internet connectivity is not firm at my home, frequently net is going off more than 50 times in a day and we are unable to use net .last month also same problem was there .                             I am a senior Citizen. My siater also is 76 years old. TV is only the entertainment for my sister.
                            For Past 2 years, I have been a registered user of IPTV Service provided by MTNL, Mumbai. Thinking that IPTV will have better service I discontinued Cable TV.
                            Past 3-4 months nearly 35 channels were not at all working. The starting display always used to show that the service provider regrets and soon they will be set OK. Also, During the past 3-4 months almost every Thursday to Saturday / Sunday all the channels used to be dead.
                            I tried sending complaints to IOL mail ID, but every time it bounced back. Later on 23.4.2009 I discovered in MTNL site a complaint / vigilance facility. In this mail I mentioned that none of the
                            channels are working. The same evening some channels started. The Complaint Number - 58524 dt. 23.04.2009.
                            The next day I complained about the channels not working, giving the channel numbers. The Complaint Number - 58650 dt. 24.04.2009.
                            From May 05, 2009 to today (12.05.2009) All the channels are dead. On entering new complaint, the message reads "Number Existing with status as pending. Docket Number is 58524 and booking date is[protected]:57:01". The Help line 126000 is always engaged. At The nearest Telephone Exchange "Shimpoli", Borivali, I have been told, they are not dealing in IPTV complaints.
                            My problem is - I donot know whom & where to contact for registering the complaint. While I registered my above mentioned complaints, it asked for my E-mail ID. WHAT IS THE USE OF ASKING THE MAIL IDDETAILS, if I am not given reply.
                            I have been regularly paying my dues which include, Land-line, Broadband Internet and IPTV.
                            Some times I feel, whether I am / was the Only subscriber of MTNL IOL IPTV.

                            I request (i) CGSI help in solving the problem; (ii) CGSI help in getting proper response & rectification of the problem.
                            It may also be possible, that there is some serious technical problem. But as a Consumer, I feel I must atleast get replies to my written complaints, for which my e-mail ID is already entered with IOL IPTV.
                            Of course, I also surely would like refund of my payments for IPTV.

                            iptv — Non functioning of Channels since 3 days

                            Since installation of IPTV in my house No. G-395 Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi-110029. CA No. DL[protected] the programme of the IPTV channels are not functioning properly. There is some disturbance in picture quality. No body listen my complaints by your rapes.

                            I have given letter for disconnection to Sub-Divisional Engineer, Quick Customer Service - Malbar Hill Exchange on 3rd. feb 2009. No body has turned up or call up to me and till today services is not disconected and I contacted on 126000 and every time we get record your service is important to us, will come up soon. and no one respond. Even we contaacted on 1500 but they have also no proper No. to contact for out problem and we are moving pillar to pillar and no proper guidence or infomation given to whom we have to contact for CANCELATION of I.P.T.                             I have IOL connection since November 2007. In spite of several telephonic & email complaints on action taken as yet.
                            I've infact opted for IOL iptv from the day one i had problems with service, still i continued for 2 months then asked them deactivate my connection which then have not done till date after 9 months. And last month all of sudden i was billed for all the 11 months at once. I was shocked now i after IOL i dont know how to get in touch with them, the numbers shown in MTNL site is not working, subsequently my telephone line got disconnected. Don't know what to do.

                            MTNL IPTV — billing &worst services

                            I use this connection past 3 months ago but from the begining. I always complaint that this iptv is not entertainment me its only provide headche & not running properly . The company person visit & said its a cable fault second time he say that set up problem. In starting the sales person told your bill is only max . Rs.200 come but now its provided by company Rs.300 in first Rs.500 now &what come in this month without using and always complaint in between 3 months.
                            I opted for IPTV cable and got the connection since October 2008. The quality of audio& video is fine but since last month I am geting worse and worse quality of audio as well as video. Every few seconds the "WAITING SIGNAL" pops up and therefore interuptions in veiwing the programes.
                            Not a single programe can be veiwed without warnings "WAITING SIGNAL" every few seconds. Will you please tell me whether this situation is of parmenant nature ? If yes please let me have the procedure to claim my deposit with you at once.

                            We are using Aksh Optifibre IPTV provided by MTNL Mumbai since last two year.
                            In the initial one year the service was proper.
                            Since last 6 months, we have been complaining about service unavailability every few days.
                            The TV screen shows "Waiting Signal" every few minutes.
                            Everytime an engineer from the company comes to our house he says the problem is of Telephone OR something else.
                            They are not able to resolve our issue and now to our surprise the engineers also have stopped attending to our calls.
                            The call centre agents just take our complaints and then nothing happens.
                            This constant complaining and non availability of TV services has brought Hyper Tension to my parents.
                            This is unacceptable behaviour from Aksh Optifibre and MTNL Mumbai.
                            Pls help in this regard.

I want to you to disconnect the broadband connection as well as the landline connection because o[censored]nsatisfied services provided by MTNL.

                              I am really fed up of your services because when I went to complain about my connection which was not working properly from last so many days there was no action taken on my complaints. I did complaint so many times but there was no response from you. Due to this I took a new connection from Airtel which is working very nicely. Therefore, I was suppose to take an action due to your leniency because I want better services so I wanted to quit with this connection.                                 I have been on the Trib599 plan for close to a year now and last month decided to move to the 256 kbps unlimited plan. I called up 1500 who gave me a token no T[protected] and stated that the plan would change from May 01, 2009. On May 04 when I checked with them they stated that since I had lodged my request before the payment of the outstanding bill of the current month they had not completed the process but since the bill was subsequently paid they will update the records and confirm to me on my mobile. Today when I call them on 1500 the call is deliberately disconnected atleast hald a dozen times before some has the time to give you the details. I was informed that the same has been confirmed but I need to call on 1504 to recheck the same.

                                When I call 1504 the telephone is connected and the receiver just disconnects the call before you get a chance to speak to them. I also tried to go online and check on the site if I could get details of my plan. But when I input the telephone number and the CA number it states that this is INVALID.

                                I am now at my wits end and have no idea what needs to be done to ensure that the process is completed and would be grateful if someone could give some idea to go about.

                                    2. However, for past over a month there is no coverage at (Approximately 200 Meters around) my residence at 03 Sector 20 NOIDA. UP 201301. I had reported the same at the Sanchar Hut, Sector 18 NOIDA UP. The Officer In charge had attended to the complaint and suggested that this matter needs to be taken up with higher authorities to resolve the issue. It is therefore requested that necessary action be taken to resolve the problem of ‘no network coverage’ at house no 03 sector 29 NIODA, UP.

                                      Worst service and cheating the customer

                                      Hi,
                                      My name is Rachna Sharma. I have taken a MTNL broadband connection after trusting on their false marketting words given by their dealers outside and the fake pamplet they are shedding at every door step. Downloading speed is very low and my local MTNL phone has been locked. I have complaind many time in telephone exchange, switch room regarding this matter but they are not responding and costmer services are very low.
                                      So pls consider my complain and take some action against them.
