THROUGH THE GRIVANCE CELL INCHARGE

Dear Sir,

I holding two dophine mobile no, i.e. [protected] and [protected], on 10.2.2009 I registered myself through internet for caller tune and accordingly I send my caller tune rbt no and song name by sms to 56262. After waiting 24 hours by paying registration charge and call tune charge what a customer got do you know and what useless guidance he got from your help line no 1503.

After paying all necessary charge the customer got default caller tone from mtnl, after several talk with 1503 ( you may go for call scarch from my mobile no. and well as from my landline line no. i.e.[protected] I got one way facility means if any person call me through landline he will get caller tune, no caller tune from mobile to mobile( always ringing your default tune) accordingly again I contacted several times to your 1503 and they gave me the complaint no. and they advise me to wait 48 hours for getting the actual service.

Can I know from you is it the service of mtnl. After deducting the customer account he will get big a zero service.

Sometimes I think I make a grate mistake by taking the service of MTNL

One advise to you sometime you call to 1503 specially at night nobody will respond the your call, you will get ground reality of the service of your helpline.

    My mobile no. is [protected]. I did not receive ny bill for the month of November 2008 (due for payment in December 2008). However, I was able to make the online payment of Rs 808 on 24 Dec 2008 though the bill itself was not retreivable online.

    But I require the bill please. Several telephone calls to the Customer care have not yielded any results.

    Could anybody help.

    dolphin — bill paid but no not start

    My mobile number in [protected].I have already paid Bill for the amount Rs.297 on April 6, 2009, My cheque No.405206, I dont understand why my phone has been disconnect.
    Non-receipt 0f bills for landline broadband connection 25321511 for the last about one year. Similarly, the bills in the wide area of Najafgarh are not receipt. Consumers are in distress on this account.
    A complaint No. SSS/Pub.Aff./2009-14 dated 6th March, 2009 through Regd Post No.7088 dt. 7.3.2009 sent to the Chairman-cum-MD, MTNL, Corporate office, Jeevan Bharti Tower.I, 12th Floor, C.P., New Delhi - 110001. No response. No action. Have to pay penalty for late payment of bill as bills not received by the consumers. Now, two billing cycles have been missed again for non-receipt of bills.
    This CERTIFIES THAT THE MTNL AND ITS AUTHORITIES INCLUDING ITS HEAD have framed any policy harassing the consumers. WOULD THE HoD VERY KINDLY RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINT ?

    MTNL — non receiving of Dolphin bill

    Sir, I have a postpaid dolphine bearing no [protected]. Since three months I have not received any bill. In your website the bill is showing of March 2009. I hven, t received my bill in my corr address. I think MTNL is not serious in updating cutomers billing. Kindly sent me my latest bill in my email.

      Problem: 4 days downtime on mtnl( service)

      Four Days story:-

      Day 1(from night 1:20AM): my internet is totally down; then it working on 2:00PM but only for 45min.-1hour.
      I called care center(1504) about i can't access internet from night they write the complaint and gave me docket no. until night i can't access internet.

      Day 2: Next day, i got call from mtnl and they told me that there is line problem and he promise me to send line man. within 3 hours i got call from Line-man; He confirmed that there is no line problem. after sometime i called Care Center and then then told there is server down it will be soon working. and then also gave me another docket no. but i already have docket no. then she said that it is your new docket no. until night i can't access internet.

      Day 3: Next day, i called Care Center and then then told there is server down it will be soon working. and then also give me another docket no. but i already have docket no. then she said that it is your new docket no. for night access internet for 3-4hours but disconnecting by second or minute or hour/s.

      Day 4(Today): And today, i got called from MTNL early morning " Apka Internet kaam kar Raha he!" and i told them i haven't checked. after 10min. they called "Apka Internet kaam kar Raha he!" and i told them "i have to check internet for hours" then she immediately disconnect the call.

      For now i can access internet but it disconnecting most of time and middle while i online for 1hours luckily. On evening i called Care Center and asked about my Internet is little better now but frequently disconnecting. and then He said call to 198 which is for only if telephone line is dead not for The Internet(i called on this service No. on Day 3). and i got early called from this service He told me that "Apka Telephone Band Hai Kya", i said "I can't Access The Internet" and then He just said "Triaband ha.." and He immediately disconnect call.

      Day 4 continue- Again i call Care Center and there is Women and i heard same angry voice women which women already shouted me before 2months, without any reason and now again he picked up call after 35sec.-1minutes she said hello(normally most o[censored]sing this procedure;so, i preferred to wait) and i just asked about why there is Long-Time for saying hello and She just said i busy in another call and i just said OK. and then I just starts saying about my complaint and She get angry and asking me who are You asking about this. and i moved to my topic without saying anything and She asked my telephone no. and i said her wait for second and she gets again angry and asking me "Apka Number Apko Malum Nahi Hai Kya!" and I just said it's my new number and she don't wanted to moved from this issue and she saying "blah..blah...blah" and then i just said her to it's not your work(Problem) and She automatically moved to past issue and she said "i will put down call immediately and i will not register your complaint when she said this and i thought that i have to disconnect call because she will not help anymore i think".

      then again i call Care Center there is men and he is talking well and i told my problem about i can't access internet and he just said i forwarded the complaint to the tech. dept. and you have to wait for one day again.

      i paid for Night Unlimited internet Rs.849 for growing my knowledge for carrier which is expensive for my family and with this kind of Service that have downtime and Angry customer service and unqualified technical management is not accepted.

      and with night plan i have to miss my night sleep for this service.

      I think TRI has to make strict policy and before giving license for ISP'.

      i got my internet connection just two days back and have been facing the same problem of connection terminating abruptly ever since. First i had to wait for 40 days to get a connection after booking for it and now finally when i have got one i can't even check my mail as it keeps disconnecting automatically after every 2-3minutes. This is really frustrating. MTNL's call center guys lack basic skills and seem totally disinterested while listening to the complaints. Even more frustrating is the fact that they keep giving me a new no. to call to. This has been my experience ever since i first called them up to check my booking status. To be frank now i regret having opted for the MTNL broadband service. I should have gone for the cablenet service or the sify service instead. Though i would have had to shell out a bit more, the quality of connection and customer care would have been worth it and the best thing is that i would not have had to put up with this mtnl bull .

        I control (IPTV) has been installed at my place on 04/10/08 and the receipt number is:10254. It is not working properly since it installed and i make complaint on the customer care almost everyday and everyday i have been told that someone going to visit my home within 24 hours but nobody has come yet. I am not at all satisfied with the services. You can check at the customer care about my complaints. I am really upset with the services. After struggling with these people when i did not get any response i decided to cancel the connection and i made a written complaint to Commercial Officer, Sanchar Haat, Okhla. on 19/12/2008 and till now no action has been taken from their side too. It is always a common man who suffers. I want to elevate this complaint to the top management and if they have little concious alive in them then please help me on this. I have not used the service even for an hour also and since october i am paying 200/= as a rental for the services which i am not been able to use yet. My contacts no. and address is mentioned below. Kindly help me on this.

        Even i want to disconnect IPTV . It is really horrible . Please take some neccessary actions against them . They just dont response once u get the Connection .

          I had just installed MTNL Triband on 25 December 2008 and since then i am facing a whole lot of troubles. Initially, they booked the connection but did not provide the service. On repeat requests and complaints, they started the procedure but to no avail because i was not able to browse the net until December 25. When only couple of weeks had passed using this service, they disconnected the service and reason was given nonpayment of bill, which in fact is not true and was not due to my fault. First of all, i did not get the bill nor i was aware that bill cycle will change from bimonthly to monthly. Secondly, i somehow became aware that bill has been generated and i have missed the due date which was 3 January, but soon i made the payment on 8 December. Until then the service was in place, but on 10 December onwards the service was dicontinued even after payment of bill. I lodged several complaints number of times, i even went to telephone exchange and met several officials including SDO Idgah telephone exchange, but still nothing concrete has been done to address my problem and i am still not able to use this service. As of now it has been more than 20 days.

          Moreover, my plan was a limited plan and i also could not use the allocated MBs of my plan for the month of January.

          So, i please request you to help me out on this issue.

          I have received an excess huge amount of bill of Rs. 20, 471.00 for only one month of internet charges for the period of 01/04/09 to 30/04/09 on dated 19/05/09 at about 3 pm by post stamped by sultanpuri post office, Delhi. This gives me metal tension & harassment so I can not sleep all over the night. I have always received bills about Rs. 1, 500/- approx. per month from last many years as per my normal usage. I have always paid my bill at time. I have no arrears and normal use of call charges.

            I am using my cell since more then 4 year's. Since then I have been calling dolphin and saying that please improve my coverage but till now no one has responded to it. Bad customer service.
            I have faced three time zero network singh in Ghaziabad City (with two months) from evening and upto the next morning but when i entered in delhi all signals works properly. but when i ask at my home the other dolphin mobile were not having any signal. why such type of problems are occurs while MTNL is having so big network and engineers.

            i am a resident of RAILWAY COLONY, kalwa, thane, mumbai.
            in our locality wen the electricity goes the network also get closed & network becomes unavalable, so majority o[censored]s face problems due to cuttings, so we r planning to change our brand frm DOLPHIN.
            please do the favorable acts.
            I am really very sorry to draw your very kind attentions towards the my numerous unattended complaints few of which: Complaints Numbers are.: 18300012, [protected], 18301841, 18300871, 18300780 & 19200002 wherein I have clearly requested to put on the record about my complaints regarding my bad experiences like ‘Low Signals’ – ‘Message Sending Fails continually’, Non-receiving of the SMS Delivery Reports’, ‘No-Signal during Power failure’, ‘Dis-connecting Calls during conversations Continually’ and also facing of problems for connecting Calls to any of the Networks.
            Your call attendants sitting at your Call Center really don’t know how to handle the customer properly. Most of the times, your Call attendants talk in a very rudely, insultingly, un-ethically, immorally, unfaithfully to its principals or even against our National integrity.
            Sir: Not going in to much details at this time, may I request you to please let me know:
            Do you think if it is proper by your attendants to abuse if I dare to register my complaint?
            Do you think if it is proper by your attendants to suggest me to go for some other available mobile companies like ‘Airtel, Vodafone or Idea?
            Do you think if it is proper by your attendants at numerous of times do canvassing for your other competitors i.e. Networks?
            Do you think if it is proper by your attendants to threat me for dire-consequences if I shall dare to approach his seniors?

              This is regarding a new connection of MTNL-COMBO Broadband Connection.
              I applied for this connection on December 27, 2008 as per the application form below for the same connection and also paid Rs.1000/- for the same.
              I did not receive the connection till date. I visited Mira Road MTNL office Multiple Time and called them also, but no Result.

                My self Basu Amal Kumar.My MTNL Telephone no is 23634268.bill no is ; [protected].TARIFF PLAN is MTNL economy.my mtnl phone bill for the month of December 1/12/2008-31/12/2008 is been shown as 5, 770/-.Its complete ridiculous ..., this plan is complete fake and my bill is very high..the broadband usage shows 5585.00 MB...How absurd..it seem they r charging per MB or hour.
                I would like to inform you that from the last 3-4 months i have been receiving the broadband usage charges somewhat between Rs.[protected]. I would like to tell you that our usage of the net is not this much that we are getting in our bill. We cannot afford so much high bill instead of which our usage is not there.
                I would request you to please recheck the broadband meter board and please inform us as soon as possible.

                I have telephone no:28202595 in name of bank of india at my residence at Andheri east.
                A week back the telephone services were stopped for non payment of the bill. Neither I was informed
                or the bill has been sent to me. This is highly irregular. I managed for duplicate bills. I received
                two bills for November and December. To my surprise I find the December bill is for Rs. 7258/-The major
                component is triband usage. This is no way possible. Howevern for getting the details of the bill I
                contacted the mtnl office and in turn I could gather series of telephones but could not manage
                to get the details. As against average monthly bill of 300-350 bill for Rs. 7258 and without any
                details- simply amounts to harrasement of the costumer.
                I may request for immediate action in verifying the bill and providing me the details.

                Respected Sir,
                Sub:GENERATION OF FAULTY TELEPHONE BILLS FOR BROAD BAND SERVICES

                I, Aruna Gulpaliwar, residing in Waghbil, Thane, am the MTNL customer for the past 5years.

                In the first week of August 2008, I made use of you helpline & log in a request message to discontinue ‘Broadband services’.

                When I received the bill for the period of August month with Monthly broadband charges as199.00 + 80.00 Monthly CPE services charges, I was shocked.

                On 20 September, 2008, I approach to Waghbil Telephone extension counter
                [Mr.Chormare & Ms.Suhani] and made a request in writing ‘To discontinue broadband services’ since I was no longer utilizing it. Both of them promised me that the payment shall be adjusted in the next Month bill[September] .

                On the same day, I wrote following formal letters in view to help them process the said request smoothly.
                1. Stating to ‘Adjust the amount paid in the next generated bill’
                2. Stating to ‘Discontinue the broadband services with immediate effect’

                Till now I have received the following Monthly bills with the charges applied !!
                1. September month - Monthly broadband charges as199.00 + 80.00 Monthly CPE services charges
                2. October month - Monthly broadband charges as199.00 + 80.00 Monthly CPE services charges
                3. November month - Monthly broadband charges as199.00 + 80.00 Monthly CPE services charges
                4. December month - Monthly broadband charges as199.00 + 80.00 Monthly CPE services charges

                I HAVE PAID ALL THE BILLS PROMPTLY & SINCERELY.
                So, the total amount MTNL has grabbed from me is 1395.00 so far for no services utilised !!!

                This has happened because I believed that MTNL Services would adjust the amount each month.

                I approached Waghbil exchange every month, all went in vain as you can see.

                I also approached Charai exchange, but they were also in no position to help me, since they had not received any intimation from Waghbil exchange.

                On asked, the Waghbil Telephone extension counter personnel are not able to trace or produce my records & my 2 letters addressed to them !

                Now once again, I have lodged a complaint on the helpline.

                Despite of this effort, if I receive a monthly bill with the same charges in next month, I would simply not entertain any more time and tare & throw it in the dust bin !!

                THIS WHOLE PROCESS HAS CAUSED ME LOT OF PAIN & MENTAL DISTURBANCE !!

                This is a total mismanagement on the part of MTNL Services. I would surely not advice anybody to propagate this government services, since, I have lost trust .

                MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO YOU IS THAT I DO NOT WISH TO BE THE CUSTOMER OF MTNL SERVICES ANYMORE & PUT THE TELEPHONE SERVICES TO AN END !!

                I can look upon better customer friendly services available.

                I recide at manori village, phone ( No[protected] and been using MTNL landline for past 3 months.Perviously i used to receive bill amount of 1000 to 1200 But recently received bill for January 2009 which is for 3300, which was a sock for me .Because phone useage at my place is very less has all o[censored]s have a mobile phone.Even i did not notice in my pervious bills that my bill plan is of 500, wherein i opted for 250 monthly.

                Before the payment due date phone is already dead and to my suprice when i dial my landline Number its ringing but phone at my place is not and even some times its says line is busy .
                Am sure there is a cross connection or line is activated at two places or something, but am not going to pay my bill untill and less i get a avalid reason for it.

                I would request you people to check it as soon as possible.

My connection remained out of order from 10/12/08 to 25/02/09 .Various complaints lodged by me but it could not be repaired but MTNL charged me for the period of default.I requested to adjust my dues for the month of December 08, JAN 09 AND FEB 09.Till date my payments for default period could not be adjusted inspite of my various requests.kindly look into the matter and settle it expeditiously.

                MTNL ECONOMY — LANDLINE COMPLAINT DEAD

                I HAVE COMPLAIN FROM 5/06/09 TO MTNL CALL CENTRE & MTNL CHARKOP MUMBAI-67 TILL 15/06/09 TELEPHONE NOT WORKING SO PLEASE DO SERIOUS & START TELEPHONE.
                My land line telephone no. is 27316448. I have shifted from South Delhi to Piampura in August'2012. My land line telephone no. in South Delhi was 26276618.

                I am getting abnormally high amount of bills at Pitampura. There is some thing wrong in the Broad Band Meter.

                It is requested that thorough checking may please be done and rectified bill after adjusting the excess amount charged may please be sent at the earliest.

                Required justification above bill not as per plan 225 for last 1 years however this is complaint regarding the false bill generation of my broadband connection after I have surrender the broadband connection on dated 15 July 2019 & land line bill only as per plan has been changed RS 225 however highlights with reference to above subject that your bill amount Rs 3495/- month of October 2020 it's totally unjustified however i inform you to my plan RS225 it's in your system for household & your bandwidth RS 1950.00 however i inform you to the modem & all other instruments hand over to you before one year I don't have such type internet facility provided by MTNL & neither we demanded nor used them just your bill its indicated its fraud under the section of Indian panel code otherwise we take legal action such type payments which will not pay requested to you please t rectify these bill its 100 present fraud and fake bill generated by the MTNL authority requested to you don’t cheat your genuine customer to generate such a fakes bills generated & nothing has done how mtnls becoming so big by cheating their customers and generating false bill for the disconnected broadband connection.

                Regarding MTNL DELHI Telephone No 25260974. That i have got disconnected the aforesaid connection on 15/6/2021 within after 15 days of compliant, the compliant was not attended to . That i received bill for the entire month of June 2021, when the connection was surrendered on 15/6/2021, that you are requested to kindly look into the matter and get a proper bill for the period during which the phone was working and not for the entire month as claimed by the department and also give rebate for the period in which the phone was not working .

                    I am fedup of calling the people at the MTNL office in BANDRA KURLA complex for my payment updations.
                    No one picks up the call at any number. I have been trying to call the account officer as well but to no avail. Some 2 to 3 payment of my MTNL GARUDA BILL (Pnone no[protected] which I made through cheques have not yet been updated.
                    I was instructed to send a FAX of my bank statements as a proof of my PAYMENTS. I have sent the faxes twice at 3 different numbers 2 months ago. But nothing has been done for the same.
                    Also 1 fax was sent through the MTNL customer care centre at NAUPADA, THANE(WEST) to the DAO.
                    Even after that noone bothered to update my payments.
                    I went to the CHARAI, THANE(West) office of MTNL but still noone helped me.
                    I have been running from pillar to post to get my payments updated.
                    Now even after paying the bills my INCOMING n OUTGOING is barred.
                    Kindly Help me. N see to it that some serious action is taken for this DERELICTION OF DUTY.

                      i am using TriB_Combo_Unlimitedv2 plan .my phone number is[protected] . my broadband speed should be 256 kbps.
                      my downloading speed become very slow reduced from 200 kbps to 20 kbps since last one and a half month .i have done many complaints on 1504 and numerous e-mails, but my downloading speed is not increasing. even though mtnl's employee are help less to me.

                      I am using unlimited plan of internet with 256kbps speed but it is slow down to 20kbps
                      My Internet connection is startedfrom a very short time only one month.

                      All useless people are working in mtnl. They are all parasites. No one listens to you complaints. Speed is so slow. it takes hours to open a site. Downloading speed is pathetic. I have got problem in my modem. I have been making complaints since 1st of this month to change my modem. No one has come so far. Area manager is on leave. The person assigned with the job on his behalf (Harish Mohan[protected] never attends the call.

                      sir, I am using a broadband connection and my plan is a combo 599 plan . i am using it on my landline connection ([protected]) . i am not getting god downloading speed according to my plan.it's speed is 20-30 kbps . which is creating a big problem for me . so i request u to take action asap .
                      I am using mtnl broad band connection.my downloading speed should be 512kbps.plz increase my broadband speed upto plan.
                      All Right guys here is the deal.
                      The download speed that you get while downloading is measured in KBps, while your connection speed is in kbps.

                      Now,
                      1 KB = 8 kb,
                      So ideally for a 256kbps broadband, the download speed is 32KB/sec.
                      but as we all know that mtnl is a "sarkaari" company, so they dont "cap" ur speed initially. Capping means putting an upper limit to the download speed. It is through capping the differentiation is done between a person with 256kbps plan and another with 512kbps plan. So all those who were getting speeds of around 200KB/s should know that initially they were getting much more than what they were paying for, as the were getting speed according to a 2mbps plan. I hope this solves many doubts. Dont get disheartened .. jus think of it as ur honeymoon period which had to end one day... :)

The screen freezes after every 20 seconds and I am not able to watch any programme.I even informed the same to the customer care on 17th Jan 09 vide Complaint No. [protected]. Please note that since installation of IPTV we have not used the same on account of this problem. Also please note that I am making daily complaints to all your senior executives and till today nobody has turned up to rectify the same.

                        This is really frustrating and hence I would like to discontinue the service of MTNL IPTV through AKSH Optifibre Ltd, with immediate effect.

                        I have given the security deposit check of Rs 999, fvg AKSH Optifibre Ltd. which I would like to refund me immediately due to inefficient and pathetic services.Also i do not want any bill to be sent to me.

                        Aksh's complaint redressal system is non-existent. Repeated complaints to their call-centre are an exercise in futility. It seems the MD/Chairman or whoever is managing Aksh optifibre is either a sarkari employee who does not bother about anything except his salary or an ex-clerk of a municipality of a small town.
                        I ordered MTNL IPTV on 03rd Feb. 2009 and till date it is not been installed on a phone No. 28361005. I tried to make several call on the customer care no. i.e. on 126555 & 126777 but nobody is replying.

                        I have given the security deposit cheque of Rs. 999/- which I would like to be refunded to me immediately or send my cheque back to me.

While free IP TV was being offerred in our Society, i did not opt for the connection. I am one of the few ie 1 or two unfortunate persons who had subscribed for the IP TV in my society ie PHARMA APOPARTMENTS 88 IP EXTENTION DELHI-110092.. I have been makinng almost daily complaints to Aksh since[protected] but till date no body has bothered to attend to my complaint. Every time I am assured that my complaint would be attended in 48 Hours. The same p[roblem has been faced by me about a month back and for almost 10 days there was no response. I am now fed up with your services and request that the connection should be disconnected as you are unable to provide service as promised.
                        My family cannot afford to miss the continuity of the Searials and if you can not provide un interupted please disconnect my connection and I would like to switch over to Cable TV which is much better and has unintereupted service.and also return my security.

                        Secondly i have also applied for broadband connection which from your server service deparment said they have activated the broadband from 27th March 09, but till date i din't got the connection activated in my home from your side.

                        I have made a lot of complain till date ie 16th April 09, but happly recieved our apolozy we will get your matter excalated to the higher management, i hope for them the higher management means (BAGWAN BORASA).

                        People out there planning to opt for MTNL IPTV beware its like opting for mental harressment, irritation free of cost.

                        THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE GROUND STAFF ARE NON PROFESSIONAL. THEY ONLY KNOW TO PUT THE BLAME TO OTHERS HEAD.

                        It is ironical to say that i booked IPTV of MTNL in collaboration with AKS TV on 21/05/2009 which was installed by Mr kapil ([protected]) on 04/06/09 vide no. DL[protected]STB with MAC ID A00663FC). It was activated after a few days but with fringing problem & waiting signal. The same was brought to the notice of Me Kapil & Mr Praveen who could not rectify the problem. Later on complaint no D/090615/55 was filed but AKS TV did not respond. Again second complaint was filed vide D/[protected] dated 10/07/09 but all in vain. A third complaint was filed vide complained no D/090818/28 which was attended by Mr Kapil on 22/08/09 who changed the STB- A00E4F12 VIDE NO DL 00015264 but changing STB could not check the fringing, which Mr Kapil assured to remove from exchange, which was not done. In the mean time Mr Manoj was contacted who asked to file the complain and assured to get rid off the problem. The fourth complaint was filed vide no /09017/20 dated 17/09/09 through Ms Santosh, who assured solution within 24 hours, which was attended one day after by Mr. Amit, who went without solution of the problem. A reminder no 15621 dated 22/09/09 9.00AM as mentioned by Ms Jyoti was filed, in response to that Mr Vinod came on 23/09/09, who could not remove the problem in the lack of coordination with attendants in the exchange. On 24/09/09 1.00 PM, Ms Jyoti Bhatia gave line to Ms Archana Arora who gave the complaint no reminder 15788 dated 24/09/09 and promised to rectify but it is unfortunate that till date the problem is as it was at the time of installation.
                        Now it is mentioned that believing & feeling good reputation of MTNL, I opted for IPTV but AKS TV has not only ruined the reputation of MTNL, it could not prove it self a good service provider. Being a sincere customer, I always deposited the bills well in time believing AKSTV will give proper service but they proved me wrong.

                        Aksh Optifibre — Discontinuing Services

                        I had taken IPTV connection in April 2010, during the vacation period for my children after the school reopened we had requested the company (Aksh Optifibre) to suspend the services, again during the month of November we had recharged, and again deactivated the IPTV as the school reopened after Diwali vacation, we again tried to activate for the month of Jan 2011 but the company did not send their representative for activation. We called up their call center not less than 15 times but they always made the excuse as there was no staff available finally their representative came during the month of Feb 2011 but could not start the transmission and told that u will have to surrender the STB as u have not recharged for 6 months during the year and have not intimated the company that the services is to be suspend for those months, I had taken utmost care to notify them each month for not requiring the IPTV transmission by sending e-mails every month, but is it necessary to notify them in advance?? because in TataSky or in any other operator they would simply discontinue the services unless whenever u recharge for that month u would want to, here i am told that u will have to pay for all your past months and then only u can activate the transmission. Can anybody pls help as this is absolutely against the rule to force the consumer to utilize the service even when he does not want to.

                          I applies for I control connection and paid advance money cheque on 30.12.2008. inspite of several calls and complaint filed by me on IPTV - there has been no rectification even after 12 days. I complained that after IPTV was installed at my home, i am not able view any channels from the very first day. The engineers who came to install the modem & set top box told me that it will start working from tomorrow but tomorrow never came. I filed my first complaint on 16.1.2009 only and it was assured that my problem would be solved. I again called customer care next dat i.e. 17.1.2009, executive told me that complaint has been forwarded to technical team and would be solved in 24 to 48 hours. I think their watches dont run properly as i think its been long tortutorous wait for me and tachnical team team came to no rescue. Adding to pain they dont even forget to make a welcome call on 20.01.2009 that thanks for chosing IPTV. They are playing good dual policy as it was not told Time Shift TV will work only for free to air channels. Also when they take bookings on phone why cant they take a cancel request as well. I have been literally weeping since i got it installed as i got my cable connection disconnected (far better avatar). I have been calling customer extortion center daily and congratulations to them that they are very good at making false commitments and torturing me in a great way. Last i would like to raise some questions:- Who will pay for the period i got no service Who will pay for my saoring telephone bills. How will they serve the customers properly if the intial service has yet not been tasted by customers?

                            I have purchased IPTV scheme from MTNL from last 2 months, as per the scheme of IOL 199, 165 channels were suppose to be shown, which mainly includes: Package of Zee TV, Sony, Star TV, Sports channel Ten Sports, Movie channels of HBO, Sony Pix, star movies, news channels, All Door Darshan channels and etc. this was costing of Rs199/- per month. But after installation within 45 days, all channels of Sony TV, and Zee TV were stopped. Also now a day we can’t see all channels of Door Darshan and HBO, news channels, I think there are charging of showing all Free channels.

                            On Help line 126000 no one receives calls for complaints,
                            After personally going to MTNL Telephone exchange Shimpoli, no body knows whant measures should be taken,
                            No IPTV authority is present for rectifying the issue, I met Mr. Prasad(Sub div Engineer) who knows nothing about what should be done and on reply he asks me back "Who send you here?".

                            Hence there should be action taken on this case because that people are in impression that MTNL IPTV is cheap but reasonable but which is not.

                              I am facing so many problem in MTNL Broadband, its speed is very slow, uploading 10 kbps and downloading 25 kbps, it is also always disconnecting. I complained so many times to the customer care number(1504), every time they just forward my complain but didn't send any technician to solve the problem, I contacted to the area manager's office, (Sarita vihar: Mr Vijendra Kumar) but no one pick the phone, then I contacted to his mobile -[protected], I found he is most irresponsible person, Once he listened my complain and became silent, when I again called him he didn't pick the phone,

                              I request to all of them who are planning for a new broadband connection, please don't take a connection from such a third class broadband service provider

From the purchasing date till sofar i have not rcvd any bill from their side [MTNL] all though addredd verification already done from their concerned department

                                  belongs to you. But when i get the duplicate bill from sanchar hat the name and address is correct. When i contact shanchar hat for not receiving the bill they told we are helpless in this regards.

                                    I HAVE CONVERT MY BOARDBAND CONNECTION FOR UNLIMITED PLAN RS.599/= EVEN THAN I AM RECEIVING BILL FOR RS.2000= AND MORE. EVEN TELEPHONE NOT WORKED IN THE LAST MONTH FOR MANY DAYS ON MY PERSONAL VISIT PHONE/BOARDBAND IS CONNECTED. IT SHOWS A HARRASMENT TO THE NEW CONSUMER. AND MTNL DEPARTMENT IS NOT EDUCATING THE PERSONS WHICH PLAN IS USEFUL.

                                    mtnl and internet connection — bill is not according to the plan

                                    This is to inform you that my current internet plan is 250 tricombo(limited).but the bill is exceeding according to the plan.it is around Rs 900-1100.we have complaint this several times on 1500 and 1504 both..but they hardly responds to our complaint.now we want either our billing of internet connection becomes proper or disconnect our internet and phone both...

                                    i am your customer. i have paid twice he charges of Initial charges for DSL C. i had taken this new connection on 15 Jan 2009 but my modem was not working properly then i talked some MTNL fellows they told me to took Wi-Fi modem and written application to change my modem. one day one person came and changed my modem normal to wi-fi, even though i had already paid the charges of Rs 300 of normal modem and in this month April again they charged modem Rs 300. when i went to Bhika ji cama place they told me to talk to Kidwai bhavan. so, is it reasonable to charge twice charges for modem.
                                    I totally agree with these complaints, MTNL the worst service providers, totally Govt.service attitude towards customer, they promise speed of 256kbps downloading speed and we get maximum 28kbps downloading speed, even a turtle moves faster than this.and no other brand provide internet service in my area, the day they willthe moment i will kick off this bloody slow and harassing service of MTNL.
                                    i just hate MTNL and the people work there, just eating for free.lazy

                                      mtnl broadband combo unlimited plan — broadband not working and no speed

                                      The service is all time worse.
                                      I have a using MTNL BROADBAND CONNECTION (TELEPHONE Number:[protected] with 256kbps combo unlimited plan at my residence with last two months the broad band is working most erratically. It comes one for a few minutes and goes off for many hours. Repeated complaints to 1504 have bore no results. I am really fed up of this connection. The download speed whenever the connection does work is never more than 10 to 25 KBPS. For the last few days the broad band has not been working at all. All the lights in the moded except the ADSL lights not work.

                                      Those who are having problem with speed i would like to tell them that according to plan u will get 256kbps which is equivalent to 32kBps. where b=bits and B=bytes. 8 bits equals to 1 Byte. So i[censored] r getting 24-26 kBps then there is no problem with ur speed. i[censored] r getting lesser than this then contact customer care viz. 1503 for delhi.                                       MTNL promise some thing and actually it is around 15% of that they committed. When I phone to complain cell atnumber 1504 it they put in hold for 30 minutes, then tired same story... no use.

                                      I recommend people to switch to Airtel. there service is best. So switch to worst to Best.

                                      I am having MTNL broadband plan 649. I am having problem with the internet connectivity. Some times it take very long to connect with the internet and some times it does not connect at all. Some times it goes off all of sudden and may never come back.

                                      I have lodged a no. of complaint at 1504 and also at local exchange ( at Sect 6, Dwarka, New Delhi.) but of no result. The officers at exchange would promise to come and visit the house but never came!

                                      when I inquire about the fate of my complaints at 1504 the gentleman told me that they forward the complaint to the concern area manager, but I have never received any call back from the area manager or any concerned officer on the basis of my complaints at 1504. I think there is no mechanism of getting feedback about the complaint at 1504.

                                      The internet has become an essential part in life but the MTNL which promises to give best and responsible service is yet to understand it, that is why it is least bother about the complaints of its customers.

                                      I have been using airtel and MTNL broadband in delhi for the past few years. I far as i know on a 599 combo unlimited plan in MTNL the download speed does not exceed 33 KBPS. I too get around 29-33 Kbps. Same goes for an airtel 256 Kbps connection. People getting more than that are luck i guess..
                                      If anyone knows a way to increase the speeds please let us know. Don't expect much from MTNL guys.

                                      This is the simple thing. Nothing is going in a wrong way..

                                      For example when you purchase a broadband plan for 256kbps that is 256kilo bits per second not 256 kilo bytes per second.

                                      You should get speed around 1/8th of the plan's speed. i.e., when using 256kbps plan then the speed would be around 25K-30K around.

                                      So buddies please make your mind clear.. It could be only in that way if your plan is providing the speed upto 2mbps then you will get speed around 200-300kps.

                                      It is a luck for many of the MTNL broadband user that they get 200-250kbps bandwith...
                                      if some1 usingthe plan 256kbps unlimited 599 combo

                                      dear sirs: my broadband connection is not working for the last several days . this problem occurs whenever the weather is bad.in this country govt .companies do not bother to give rebate for the days service has not been provided. nothing can be done about this as the 'babus' consider themselves above law. .they are not answerable to common citizens. but they will crawl in front of their higher 'babus', leaders, etc.

                                      I have upgraded my MTNL plan to TriB UL data-512 Combo, but i am still getting speed of my old plan. Also it was promised to the customers that as of 1st April 2010, we will be getting downloading speed upto 1 MBPS on TriB UL data-512.
                                      Please can you escalate the issue because i feel i am being cheated since even after upgradation, i am still getting old speed.

                                      At present we have the Broad band tariff plan DSL unlimited 1599. my number is 22036187 gives me a speed of 1.344Mbps. in the initial month the speed was good but after that it has drastically dropped. We have made several complaints and when ever, we call 1504 they say that speed issue they do not handle and give me other numbers to call which are as following : 26435000, 26432300, 26433000, 26451100,[protected] the incharge at each of the following numbers is not available at any time of the day and even after several complains to 198 the issue has not been solved. Time to Download: 67.107second(s) Your Bandwidth: 672.70Kbps (0.657Mbps) and its 6 Dec today and there is not much change in the speed.

                                      We request you to do the needful at the latest.

                                      I have gone through most of your complaints... I felt that most of you have miss-understood the concept of kbps. So, I would like to tell all of you that if your service provider MTNL is providing a speed of 512 KBPS (KILO-BITS PER SECOND), it means, that you are suppose to get a download speed of 64 kbps (kilobytes per second).

                                      Please remember that 1 kilobyte is equal to 8 BITS. Hence, 64 kbps (kilobits per second) is equal to 512 KBPS (KILO-BITS PER SECOND). The service provider states the speed in term of KILOBITS, whereas, the PC/laptop shows you the speed in kilobytes.

                                        am using TriB_Combo_Unlimitedv2 plan . my broadband speed should be 256 kbps.
                                        my downloading speed become very slow reduced from 200 kbps to 20 kbps since 8th jan .i have done many complaints on 1504 and numerous e-mails, but my downloading speed is not increasing.Customer care only say watch in next 24 hour or wait till 3 clock or get your line checked by compklaining at 198 etc etc.

                                        Me also facing the same though i have opted for 1 mbps min.speed package. Dnt know wats wit the system. Thinks the server of mtnl is down now a days. V cant do really much except for wait n watch buddy. TC.

                                        um living in delhi and um using triband combo unlimited plan 256kbps from past one year ma download speed was like 256 230 kbps but from this jan the speed is declined to 30 kbps anyhow um paying the same amount for the connection i don't think these guys gonna fix it soon they just don't wanna work i wisited the mtnl exchange also they said 30 kbps is a good speed somebosy tell these 30kbps can u call that broadband one can use fixed line net service and get this kindaa speed i had complained thousand times but no action even their lineman are like bribesuckers everytime they visit i think nothing will be done
                                        well 256kbps = 32KBps ... so the speeds you guys are getting are pretty much according to what you should be getting.
