I must express my disappointment with the lack of transparency and integrity in the communication I have encountered during my interaction with shine dedicated executive.

I initially sought clarification about the total amount I was required to pay for the services in question. To my initial inquiry, shine’s executive assured me that the amount quoted was the final and definitive sum. Regrettably, this was not the case, as I was subsequently presented with an additional invoice, contradicting the previous information.

This inconsistency in information and the failure to provide a clear, comprehensive response to my request for a single, definitive amount have left me deeply dissatisfied with my overall experience. Transparency and trust are fundamental pillars of any business-client relationship, and I believe that they should be upheld without exception.

In light of these issues, I requested the immediate initiation of a refund process to rectify this situation but they declined my request. This lack of transparency leaves me in disappointment and sorrow

    I got call again from Shine & now they are asking for more money . What is going on, no apology for mis-selling for which I have already lodged complaint please look into this.

      Hi All,

      I want to report a case of mis-selling by Shine.com for services.This is extremely unfortunate because people like me Trust Shine because of promoters like Hindustan times.
      Please refer below for the sequence of activities & how I was given incorrect information to take almost 20, 000 (twenty thousand rupees) from me.

      Many calls were continuously made by your employee names as Sneha Singh for seling me service of Resume highlighter + something else for around 4500/4700. During this conversation I asked her categorically that are these only Charges or is there anything more which I had to pay & I was told no Additional charges have to be paid for this service. On top of that I was told by Ms Sneha that we will assign a relationship manager he will do many things etc etc. It was NOT AT ALL mentioned that it has additional cost etc.. I was pushed to have call on Saturday itself saying we can quickly help you why are you wasting time. It was mentioned to me time & again that only after relationship manager will talk to me services will be more effective but gain Cost was not mentioned
      On Saturday morning Mr. Pankaj called me & he was talking to me for more than an hour explaining to me what all will be done. He keep mentioning that verification is must etc I told him that company who is hiring is doing that so why do we have to do it so he said Shine.com wants confirmation on Qualification & Experience. Finally I asked him do I have to pay for verification he said Yes but he doesn't know how much amount & Invoice comes from Finance. I asked do I have to pay for verification only & there are no other charges my question was not answered but topic wsa changed explaining what all Shine.com will do for me.One imporant thing is Time & Again I was told I am vry poorly paid even after having 22 years of experience & I should be on much higher designation etc. Not sure why candidate need to be told his but I can see purpose of feeling people left behind so easier to mint more money. Then a1st Invoice was sent for around 7000 after I paid that within few minutes I got another one for 11, 000 I asked him what is going on, I was told this is last one & I paid it. Immediately after that I got invoice of 22, 000 Rs. Then I told him I am not continuing with this because continuously incorrect information is give.
      Immediately he brought his Manager Mr. Shakir came on call & started saying this is the process & we are not doing anything different.He kept saying you pay all amount.
      This is a clear attempt of misguiding people under very trusted Brand name & making them pay amount. Please look into below questions & look into this matter .

      Was these calls recorded ? If yes plese listen to them & you will understand how this was done with malafide intentions
      Why Additional charges are not disclosed when selling original product of 4400 Rs
      Why it is not disclosed to customer that Account manager & all other services need to be paid
      Why so called Account managers doesn't have visibility on complete package & charges & why not disclosed this to customer
      Why it is not explained to client in begining of conversation that they have right to opt out
      Why it is hidden than 4 different invoices will be raised & that too when earlier one is paid
      Please listen to recorded calls & you will understand merit in my complaint.
      This deceiving customers needs to be stopped immediately & my amount needs to be refunded.

        Payment. Later on[protected] I received a call from a Shine representative who mentioned he is about to discuss job seeking after enquiring what type of role I am looking for he mentioned he had already gone through my profile and mentioned jobs abroad you need your education and job role verified and he sent me proforma invoice of Rs.5192 for this and mentioned don’t worry sir these are nothing once you get a job you will definitely find it worth it. He mentioned I missed the part 2 payment (but actually the email was sent once I made the first payment) that I paid for education payment only and still job verification payment is pending it was Rs.9556 and I paid since he insisted. Later he sent me another link for Rs.16794 and asked me to proceed with the payment when I asked he mentioned writing the resume according to country standards and mine is not up to mark. We will take care of not getting the resume rejected and prepare accordingly. Hence I made the payment as well. Later he said again I missed the part 2 payment (same second payment link was only sent after I paid the first payment). I made the payment of Rs.27138. He said he will send me the link to upload my Last salary slip and education certificate once this is done. But he sent me another link for Rs.38762 and said this is the final payment. I said this looks like scamming and you didn’t explain these initially at all. He mentioned we are from shine.com and part of Hindustan Times and you can trust us, sir. There is nothing to worry you make the payment and you won't regret it later when you get a job overseas and you will make 3 or 4 times higher than here and you need to be active here within a month we will make sure you get a job of your choice and all. I did the payment of Rs.38762 as he mentioned and he again said I missed the part 2 payment (same second payment link was only sent after I paid the first payment) without that he wouldn’t be able close and he mentioned that’s the last payment, sir. I hesitated but made the payment at last for Rs.37139. He then mentioned I need to proceed with closure and certain information and we are done. He sent me another proforma invoice of Rs.12180 for closure. When I queried why there is payment for closure, he mentioned this is the final payment and once you are done we will send you the confirmation as well in email and requested me to send an Initiate process email to [protected]@shine.com which I did but When I did the calculation all the payments I made in the call it was coming to Rs.134581. And in the proforma, I noticed he mentioned a Six Sigma course etc. I questioned him I don’t want to enrol on these courses and proceed without a course. He mentioned this is how it works without you making the closure payment we can’t proceed further. Then I went through all the proforma he was actually enrolling me on different courses and I asked why do you enrolling me on courses which I didn’t ask for. You didn’t say about this either to me. But the representative started laughing at me. I was looking for a job change and not for courses. They gave me no time do my reserach nor explained me about the courses initially. When requested for cancellation, they were behaving unprofessionally and even the representative started laughing at me After my request for cancellation and even after chasiung multiple times via email they stopped responding to my queries. I have zero interest in pursing the course via them and requested cancellation on same day. Indian law doesn't allow them to withhold the payment for the courses I didn't pursure. I have requested them to delete the account, but they gave option only to make account inactive despite multiple requests. Even after making it inactive they still spamming my inbox and keep receiveng calls from shine.com

          Shine executives have used predatory sales practices to coercing me into buying job search-related services. The representative (Ajay) first quoted the price of the service as 3600 rs which I was willing to take. But once I made the payment they scheduled a call with a counselor who convinced me that in order for them to be able to help me find a job they would require multiple people to work with me and therefore I'd have to buy more services and sent a payment for another service worth 6900.
          I told them that this was unfair and only because the price they had initially quoted was 3600 that I decided to use this service and wouldnt have taken had I known that the total price was[protected]+6900). I asked them very clearly if I would need any other service beyond this to which they said no. I made this payment as well. they then asked me to confirm if I had made both payments. I assumed it was the 3600 and 6900 payments I had made but the representative (Gagan Sharma) said that they meant the two new services they emailed me about. That's when I realized that they had intentionally sent the email for another service worth 15000 late after I made the payment for the 6900 services. I have attached a screenshot of the same with the time difference in the email. When I got angry and asked them why did they not clarify that the total service was worth 25000, they tried to cover up by saying that sir we meant all the services we just mentioned. They had conveniently merged the details for all the service in the conversation before the payment and never clarified that these are independent services that would be charged separately or the prices for each. When I retaliated saying that I don't want any of these services and please cancel everything and refund my money they started saying they cant do that since they don't have a refund policy. I wrote an email to their customer service immediately saying that I had been coerced into buying these services and I do not want to use any of these and I haven't activated anything since the services were yet to be activated. I sent the email with screenshots of yet to be activated services that I have attached here as well and they reverted saying they would look into the matter. The next day their executive Mohammad Taiyyab called me to explain my concern but kept saying that 'these are not valid concerns' and 'these are your opnions'.

          Shine has mentally harassed me by denying a refund of my money despite such serious concerns and I request you to take action for the same.

            I inform them i dont have money i cannot pay then they ask me to pay Emi .

                  My name is Akshay Chavan, I registered shine.com few weeks back. I Received a call from Shine.com representative on 05-Oct-23, Wherein he explained me about paid services of Shine.com with nominal price of Rs 3292
                  Initially I showed no interest but then he started flattering about the services offered by them wherein he said they will assign a dedicated “Relationship Manager” for me and he will closely work with me to help me to get new job within few months with this nominal fees only and I don’t have to make any further payment.
                  So I Paid Rs 3292 and then he said they will assign a Relationship Manager and he will call me to get more information about my job requirement and will help me to find job accordingly as per my performance soon.
                  After few hours Rohit(Relationship Manager-Delhi NCR) called me from mobile no “[protected]” on 05-Oct-2023 at 02:40PM IST and initially he asked me about my job preference and post 20 minutes discussion,
                  He told me in order to avail job, I would have to get 3 services education verification services & Career Assessment Test with expert Couselling & Senior Level Resume writing services and i would get service from excellent shine.com for lifetime. So, with hesitance,
                  I paid next 2 payments Of Rs 5192 & Rs 9557 & 15987 as he said this is last payment and they will ask for no further payment but post this he again said i would have to avail another 2 services Jobs on move & Career Assessment Test with expert Couselling 2nd time.
                  I denied but he said this service is must to get good job, if i don't avail this then other other 3 bought services would have no meaning and will get "forfeit". So, reluctantly and in compulsion,
                  i made these payment of Rs 18407 & 25959 as well but post that again they asked me to avail another service for Rs.25, 369/- to which i denied as this time i understood something fishy here.

                  So, i requested him to connect to his manager again and then i requested his manager this is clear fraud/cheating and i need full refund to which they denied and said there is not refund system in shine
                  Below are payment i made to shine.com :-Total amount i paid is Rs. 78394/-

                  1st payment Nominal Price Rs 3292
                  2nd payment Education verification Rs 5192
                  3rd Payment Career Assessment Test with expert Couselling Rs 9557
                  4th payment Senior Level Resume writing services Rs 15987
                  5th payment Jobs on move Rs 18407
                  6th payment Career Assessment Test with expert Couselling 2nd time Rs 25959

                  I would really appreciate and be thankful to you, if you could help me get my full amount refund "Rs. 78394 " from Shine.com at the earliest. Please let me know, if you need any other details or information from my side.

                    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided by Shine.com, specifically concerning the lack of transparency in billing and the conduct of your employee, Mr. Nitin.

                    On October 3rd, 2023, I received a call from Ms. Deepika, who introduced me to Shine.com's services for job seekers in the private sector. She mentioned that by registering on your platform, I would be assigned a professional guide to assist me in my job search. Following her guidance, I promptly registered and paid an initial amount of Rs 3657 online on the same day.

                    Subsequently, I was contacted by Mr. Nitin, who informed me that he had been assigned to guide me. We scheduled a discussion on October 4th, 2023, between 2 pm and 4 pm to discuss my profile. However, my experience took a negative turn from this point onward.

                    During our conversation on October 4th, Mr. Nitin explained the services and mentioned that there were four modules to be worked on, with the promise that my resume would be tailored to meet the private sector's requirements. I inquired about the charges for these services and received an invoice of Rs 8259 via email. When I asked for clarification regarding the total cost, Mr. Nitin assured me that this amount was the final payment, emphasizing that Shine.com was committed to my career development.

                    To my dismay, I subsequently received a second invoice for Rs 15338 and a third invoice for Rs 28318. Despite my repeated inquiries about the total amount due for the services, Mr. Nitin continued to assure me that these were the final payments. However, he later demanded a fourth payment of Rs 23000.

                    I refused to make this additional payment, expressing my frustration with the lack of transparency in your billing process and the inconsistencies in Mr. Nitin's communication. It was clear that this was not the professional and honest service I had initially been promised.

                    I kindly request that you investigate this matter promptly and resolve it by refunding the total amount of Rs 51915 that I have paid through the three invoices. I believe this is a fair resolution to the issue at hand.

                    Transparency and honesty are vital in any service-oriented industry. I strongly urge Shine.com to adhere to ethical business practices and ensure that customers are provided with clear information regarding the total cost of services.

                      One of the shine.com executives called me at 15:40 on 4.10.2023 the number is +91 [protected] and we spoke about jobs with paid service. we talked for about 20 minutes. they said this is a one-time payment service, and we will provide assistance for the next 12 months for getting a job in wherever you want Location as per your convenience. I have paid 3292.00 rupees to their shine.com account. later they called me and demanded 5192.00/- rupees. I am distraught with their demand. they are cheating on job seekers. currently, I am not feeling well and my mental health is disturbed by their demands. please help me get my money along with the proper justification from shine.com

                      Hello i have lost 27000 today to the same fraud. and i refused to pay any further. they pull you into compulsion to make further payments after making couple of times successfully. this is ht group company which is a media group should publish this fruad. shameless people, instead of cheating they should do online begging. i have lost money to two consultancies same way. which ask you to make payment for profile verification. hindustantimes is a fruad company

                            Looting money from Jobseekers
                            I got a call from Shine on dt.25 and Cheated through their hidden charges and before every payment, they said it is last payment you need to pay. SHINE.COM is cheating people in the name of HT media.

                            On 25 Sept 2023 I received a call from shine.com that they will help in finding a job for me and provide premium services. To create an account, I would have to pay Rs. 2005. I made the payment and was connected to another person (anup)

                            3-4 different people asked me to make a few more payments cumulatively worth more than Rs.19900 on incremental stages without revealing the full details of all the payments.

                            First I was asked to make a payment of Rs.4673 for profile verification.

                            Then I was asked to make a payment of Rs. 6477 for company verification.

                            But then sent another request of Rs. 6605 and said that this is the final payment that you have to make and then the profile would be live. I was reluctant to pay but then I said okay will do it.

                            But here comes the shocker, finally the executive asked me to make the payment of Rs. 8295 to make the profile live.

                            And this is when I had it. I just didn't want the service at all. It doens't make sense.

                            I just said please don't give me the services, to which he said that we don't refund the money. But the profile won't be live until Rs.

                              On 27 Sept 2023 I received a call from shine.com that they will help in finding a job for me and provide premium services. To create an account, I would have to pay Rs.3327. I made the payment and was connected to another person(Shiva)

                              3-4 different people asked me to make a few more payments cumulatively worth more than Rs.60000 on incremental stages without revealing the full details of all the payments.

                              First I was asked to make a payment of Rs. 8151 for educational verification.

                              Then I was asked to make a payment of Rs. 14724 for company verification.

                              But then sent another request of Rs. 33746 and said that this is the final payment that you have to make and then the profile would be live. I was reluctant to pay but then I said okay will do it.

                              But here comes the shocker, finally the executive asked me to make the payment of Rs. 42354 to make the profile live.

                              And this is when I had it. I just didn't want the service at all. It doens't make sense.

                              I just said please don't give me the services, to which he said that we don't refund the money. But the profile won't be live until Rs. 42k aprox. is paid.

                              So, I was left in a limbo and frustation, I can't get the refund, I can't have the profile live. I just want the refund of all the amount I have paid. These are hidden charges and do nothing but dupe the customer.

                                Root cause-
                                There were no transparency of communication while I registered there must be the clarity for the process if for international jobs about money process. While i made first confabulation with guy told me its a one time process of payment and after a short while i get another call to pay 5192 for the education verification process. My concern is that while you assess profile in the beginning and call for registration for international jobs so process should be cleared at that time . So i will get back to you let me understand it on my behalf.

                                  First the executive calls me called he calls me every single minute forcing me to pay a sum of 1805 INR for resume highlights etc, second step the relationship manager calls me called Mr Rohit he says pay this amount 2358 nothing else and then once i make payment of 23358 another mail pops up with a sum of 53122 which i refused, they are just cheating calling 10 times and not giving a clear picture on the amount of payments to be made, when i called for a refund they refused .                                     As I was early told you during the call to shine.com that i am not interested in your services but you are forcing me to use your company services again and again.

                                    Shine.com company cheat me of Rs 18075.71 which is a huge amount for me and for the same i am requesting you during the call many times for my charges reversal but you are not ready to listen my any request. As you mentioned on a mail that i am shouting. you told me during the call that this call is being recording by your company and your can check the recording i am shouting or requesting.

                                    Your company employee mentioned in mail that i had disconnect the call but the call was disconnect by your team member not by me and he will not update me complete charges from stating to end due and your company has done the fraud of Rs 18075.71 with me.

                                    At the end I want to clearly told you that I need my money back of Rs 18075.71 and I don't required any services of your company.

                                    kindly reverse my charges ASAP and confirm me.

                                      Shine.com representative Mr Ankit and MR. Ali both are doing fraud business.
                                      Demanding money on money for each service.
                                      Both contract numbers are +[protected]
                                      And +[protected].

                                      First I got call from Ankit and said only you have to pay 3000 then we will boost your profile and highlight your cv. So once I paid 3000 then again Mr Ali is asking for for other services in that way I have paid 4-5 time’s payment and still they are demanding more money for completing profile to get the job. Is this way shine.com and Hindustan times are doing loot and business from candidates.
