Fraud /scam job offers

Today (08/01/2023) morning, I registered on Shine job portal. In the afternoon, a person named Siddharth called me from‪ +[protected]‬ and asked me to register with ₹1400, assuring me that he would place me in MNCs like IQVIA, COGNIZANT, and OMEGA. They promised an offer in IQVIA, and I had an interview where I was asked to pay nearly ₹23490. They assured me that this amount would be refunded by 7 pm today.

My name is Yograj Verma, i registered on shine.com 03.Jan.2024. I received a call from Shine.com representative on "03-Jan-2024", wherein he explained me about Paid services of shine.com with Nominal price of Rs.3292/-,
initially i showed no interest but then he started flattering about the services offered by them,
wherein he said they will assign a dedicated "Relationship Manager" for me and
he will closely work with me to help me to get new Job within few months with this nominal fees only
and i don't have to make any further payment.
So, i paid this Rs.3292/- and then he said they will assign a Relationship Manager
and he will call me to get more information about my Job requirement and will help me to find job accordingly as per my preference soon.
By 06.Jan.2024, "Suraj Singh" (Relationship Manager) called me from Mobile number "+91-[[protected]]" on "06-Jan-2024" at 2:00pm IST
and initially he asked me about my Job preference and post 20 minutes discussion,
he told me in order to avail good Job, i would have to get 2 services(2nd & 3rd payment mentioned below)
of Rs.5192/- & Rs. 9556/- and i would get service from excellent shine.com for lifetime.
So, with hesitance, I paid next 2 payments as he said this is last payment and they will ask for no further payment
but post this he again said i would have to avail another service(4th payment mentioned below)
by paying Rs.16, 518/- then i told this so wrong and i ask him to connect to his manager,
I spoke to his manager, he said this service is must to get good job, if i don't avail this
then other other 3 bought services would have no meaning and will get "forfeit".
So, reluctantly and in compulsion, i made 4th payment as well
but post that again they asked me to avail another service for Rs.24, 779/-(Fifth Payment mentioned below)
to which i denied as this time i understood something fishy here.
So, i requested him to connect to his manager again and then i requested his manager this is clear wrong
and i need full refund to which they denied and said there is not refund system in shine.

Below are payment i made to shine.com:-
First payment (Paid) -- Rs.3292/- (Product :- Education Verification Plus Package)
Second payment (Paid) -- Rs.5192/- (Product :- Job Profile Verification Plus Package)
Third payment (Paid) -- Rs.9556 /- (Product :- Senior Level Resume Writing Service & Professional Summary)
Fourth payment (Paid) -- Rs.16, 518/- (Product :- Jobs on the Move: 180 Days)
Fifth payment (I denied as understood something fishy here)-- Rs.24, 779/- (Product :-Jobs on the Move: 180 Days)

    I've tried to unsubscribe from the email, but the portal doesn't allow the same. Also sent mail to support but no answer from their side....

Subsequently, I was informed that an additional amount of Rs 4750 is required for the completion of a pending service.       Hi Team,

      Based on the call i got i was told if i pay indian rupees 3197, Shine will offer services regarding resume marketing and preparation of resume, there would be no extra charges by any means
      But to my surprise when i got a call from relationship manager he asked me to pay 5000 for document verification which is not informed, am not interested to go ahead with shine on these grounds, please refund my money so that we can depart like friends, else i should consider this as mis information and a kind of cheating.You can check the call recording on these things.

        I just received a call from [protected] in which some person named Arpita (probably) asked if I had submitted my resume on your site. As i hadn’t and had just unsubscribed from the emails, I replied that I did not.
        To this the caller said ‘then did your father submit your resume’. This phrase was very insulting and disrespectful and disgusting, especially if it’s said by someone from the customer service industry. I must request you to go through the depth of it and remove such people from your company. I expect an apology from the employee for the same. This is very upsetting and I am disappointed and disgusted by such behaviour.
        I need clarification from your team and an apology for the same.

          I fell into the trap o[censored]nfair trade practice and hence demand all my money back. I must label all the transactions done to shine.com as an online fraud for the reasons as mentioned below.

          Why shall I call this transactions as Fraud:

          Shine.com has engaged in deceptive practices, repeatedly requesting payments under the false pretense of providing a lifetime service. Despite making multiple payments totaling Rs 36, 000, I am not taking any of your services.

          If it is not a fraud, then there is no issue in refunding my money back in case I don't want to avail any of your services.

          Misleading Statements:

          The representatives of Shine.com have consistently assured me that each payment was the "last" and "only" payment required for a lifetime subscription. These statements were misleading and served as a tactic to extract additional funds.

          Refusal to Refund:

          Upon realizing the fraudulent nature of their actions and the lack of services rendered, I requested a refund. However, Shine.com has refused to provide any refund, citing the absence of a refund policy.

          Threats and Intimidation:

          In addition to their refusal to refund, Shine.com has resorted to threats and intimidation when questioned about their business practices. This behavior further adds to the severity of the situation.

            I got a call on 22nd Dec 2023 from Shivanthali (+91 [protected]) who informed me about the paid services from Shine worth around 3, 000. I trusted and got myself registered after which she assured that I would receive a call in the evening from the relationship manager who would be managing my profile here onwards and guide me towards the entire process of recruitment.

            I got a call on the same day in the evening from Shiva (+91 [protected]) who asked me about my experience and job preferences. He told me that I would be guided towards the entire process and various services would be provided to me during this process. Soon after this he started raising some invoice for some service with amount of around 4, 000 which would be for employee verification process then immediately after making payment he informed that the invoice was in two parts and I need to make the payment of both parts in order to have the service active. The second part was for 9, 000.

            Even after this he raised more invoices for additional services all in two parts and with higher amounts. In total I have deposited around 1, 50, 000. Now today I have been trying to reach out since morning but no one is taking the calls or responding. I need refund urgently. We are not fools here. We can stretch this to next level if they need. But these tricks are not going to pay off.

              On 21/12/2023, an amount of Rs. 4000 was deducted from my account under the pretext of GST by Shine. Seeking resolution, I paid this amount in good faith, only to be further deceived.

              Subsequently, I was informed of an additional payment of Rs. 4750, supposedly due to the activation of a service worth Rs. 16750, which was not disclosed initially. This constitutes an outrageous demand and is indicative of deceptive practices that are unacceptable.

              Upon raising my concerns, I was transferred to a senior representative who pretend scolding the initial agent, a tactic that raises serious questions about the integrity of your company's practices.

              I demand immediate and comprehensive action on the following:

              A thorough and transparent investigation into the unauthorized charges totaling Rs. 8750.
              A complete refund of the unjustly deducted amount of Rs. 8750.
              An official statement explaining the circumstances surrounding these unauthorized charges and outlining corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
              Assurance that my personal and financial information is secure and will not be misused.
              I have attached screenshots and recordings providing evidence of these transactions for your reference. The attached files clearly depict the unjust charges and the ensuing attempts to manipulate the situation.

              As a member of a middle-class family, these actions are causing severe financial distress. I am not alone in facing these issues, as it appears that many others are falling victim to similar fraudulent activities.

              I implore you to take immediate and decisive steps to address this matter and ensure a prompt resolution. If necessary, I am prepared to take legal action to protect my rights and interests.

                I was asked to pay rs. 29 for scheduling my interview, then they did not provide me with any job interview, and they were making silly excuses for not processing my application further.
                And the name of the person contacting me was Abhinav Sharma. I something is not done for this, i will complain against shine services. And the boy was using a very rude tone, he even threatened yo hack my bank accounts

                      We got a call from shine.com they asked us to pay 3657 for the registration. We enquired about that nd they said they will provide job to us.in the evening we got a call from Rajesh rana they asked questions from my father nd then asked us to pay 5192. Then asked us to pay 7539 for another.now we got a doubt but we were in need for the job so we paid the amount now we got doubt so searched about this...we found many scams about this

                      We want our money back it's been around 5-6 days they haven't reached out about anything I request shine.com to pay attention towards this nd provide our money back

                        I am writing to address a matter arising from our recent conversation with Shine.
                        Upon careful review of the transaction details, it has come to my attention that Shine has imposed an additional charge of Rs 4000 for processing the refund, as communicated to me. I am seeking clarification on this matter.
                        I have been informed that the additional charge is attributed to the return of 18% GST of the original amount, totaling Rs 4000. In an effort to expedite the process, I suggested deducting this amount from the total and return the remaining amount to me. However, I was informed that their terms and conditions requires me to make the Rs 4000 payment first, after which the complete refund will be processed.
                        I am reaching out to gain a clearer understanding of the terms and conditions associated with this refund process. I believe transparency in this matter is essential for both parties involved.
                        I am not aware of any such policies which take the GST amount from the customer first and then will return the whole amount. Your prompt attention to this matter is highly valued, and I am hopeful that we can resolve this issue amicably.

                          yesterday ( 03/03/24) got call from shine, com and said if you pay GST i will refund entire amount. Executive also explained send again all last paid slips that i cam calculate whole amount.
                          today ( 04/0324) again called and GST amount 1774/ of Amount rs.9845.

                          i paid but after paid the gst he demanded more money to pay.
                          i told please return my amount he cut my phone and not pick the phone.
                          i paid shine, com around 12000/
                          please settle the account.

                              I am writing to bring to your attention a serious matter of fraud and harassment perpetrated by the company Shine.com. I am a victim of their deceitful practices, and I seek your assistance in addressing this issue promptly.

                              I recently engaged with Shine.com for job-seeking services and have been subjected to blatant financial exploitation. The company, in a series of deceitful transactions, coerced me into making multiple payments under false pretenses. The sequence of events is as follows:

                              Initially, I was asked to pay a registration fee of Rs. 3657 for their services.
                              Subsequently, I received demands for additional payments of Rs. 7284, Rs. 12742, and Rs. 17696, each time under the threat that my subscription would be invalid if I did not comply.
                              Despite my explicit inquiries and objections, I was assured that no further charges would be imposed after the payment of Rs. 12742. However, the company continued its extortion tactics.

                              Upon raising my concerns with a senior representative, I was informed that my subscription would be initiated, and services provided until I secure a job. Only at that point, I would be required to pay the outstanding amount of Rs. 17696.

                              To exacerbate matters, the company sent me a resume containing content plagiarized from ChatGPT, further highlighting their unscrupulous practices.

                              I have already taken the initiative to lodge a formal complaint with the police, and I am reaching out to your esteemed organization seeking immediate action against Shine.com. Additionally, I request your support in ensuring the refund of all payments made to the fraudulent company.
