On 14th July 2023, I updated my profile on Shine.com for jobs. They called me to enroll for resume highlighter/ application booster services and asked me to pay INR 3000, which I paid for. This call was with Chandan. After this, they arranged a call with their relationship manager Shiva who asked for details about my profile and asked me to pay more for education verification, psychometric tests, resume writing services, and jobs on the move services.

I have paid a total of INR 35000 for the same. For the last payment, I declined to make any further payments. They are not ready to share my profile/ activate the services. I need a refund for all of these. The website has no proper information about any of these services and payments we would need to make during the process.

I have updated my profile multiple times on the portal, but it still keeps showing profile updated one year ago. I need this to be resolved.

The customer care team does not reply to any of the emails.

I am sharing below the screenshots of all the payments made. I need this case to be resolved asap.

    I had takenshrvice for resume display on 2nd June amount 4660.00 and therafter I was asked to pay7197 on 3rd june.
    Once again rep.. was asking for additional payment and therefore I have refused for services and asked for refunding all the payment.
    According to me shine is cheating their customer once they take services their anoth rep. is intriviewing and recommending the services which has no meaning.

    All the services must be declaered in first go iteslef.

        Hi Team,

        Recently I have opted for a premium membership from Shine jobs by paying Rs.3292/- On Friday(07.07.23), I received a call from relationship manager(Sahu - Mobile([protected])) stating some additional services or else the payment I made for the premimum subscription would be waste. The next invoice he shared for Rs.4990/- and after making this payment, he again shared some services with a clause like if I have not pay for this, then previous subscriptions for what I paid will get waste. After lot of frustration, I have again paid for Rs.8907/- but later when I checked, my statement shows for 2 more payments for Rs.12035/- and Rs.11916/- .

        On Monday(10.07.23), I got a call from other person named Syed([protected]) acknowledging about the services I opted and revealed the truth "Using this paid subscription, just 2 jobs/day will be highlighted on premium(which was not said before I pay for these)" so I lost complete transparency with this big group(Shine.com). Now I decided to cancel this subscription before I take any service from them and dropped a mail stating theses issues but Today(11.07.23), I got the call from Syed that no refund will be performed from their side which is not fair.

        For the services I have paid when I cross checked with their website, all are quoted low so I understood how they are cheating the people.

        1. Education verification - I paid(Rs.12, 035) Price available in their website(Rs.1200)
        2. Employment Verification - I paid(Rs.11, 916) Price available in their website(Rs.1100)
        3. Application booster - I paid(Rs.3292) Price available in their website(Rs.3099)
        4. Resume writing - I paid(Rs.8907) Price available in their website(Rs.2199)
        5. Career Assessment - I paid(Rs.4990) Price available in their website(Rs.1999)

        If I would have been taken any of these services for atleast one day, I am ready to pay for it on prorated basis but they have completely cheated me on some transactions as well as on services they offered.

        Kindly help me on this part. I have attached the mail copy as well as the supporting screenshots for your reference.

          YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TOOK 70k from me and now is shouting at me. No services that were promised are being delivered to me. I am so frustrated. Your customer care id is also not responding and same with the customer care number. PLEASE RESPOND.

            These guys call and make me buy all the services at exuberant prices until you run out of money. Making me buy into their bs services, when asked to refund they won't pointing it's their company policy. ### company. Never trust their words. Clearly manipulating job seekers into buying all their useless services. They are yet to refund the money although I refuse to use their services. These guys will never let you think. Pushing job seekers like me into huge debts

              Making me pay for services I don't need

              These guys called me and make me pay for the services I don't need and refusing to refund my money back. This is basically a call centre scam company. Looting money from job seekers. 0% transparency. They will never say the entire service you should be enrolled until you make the previous payment. The cost also increases everytime. And they have audacity to say this is the last payment after every single payment. Big fat liars. 0% trust....

              I am a premium subscriber of Shine.com, which is a job portal site from 08 May 2023 and was assured that I will stand out among the other candidates because of the facilities they provide to premium customers.
              Till now I have not received a single call and now my RM Kuldeep is not picking my calls who was assigned to clear any doubts.
              Other members are not responding. Hence, I need a refund.
              Shine.com customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
              I have not received a single call from any recruiter via shine or through the links which were shared via whatsapp. Team is taking things very casually. I want my money back. Please check the below invoice number for reference.

                I'm getting callls from shine.com [protected] for job offers from multiple numbers and we need to pay some money. Can you please aask them to delete my resume and phone number.

                They are looting job seeker on pretext of jobs. Their database as such is of no use how can they get job offers. Job seekers please be careful from this fraud.

                  As discussed find below details how I was cheated by some people claiming to be employees of Shine.com

                  Initially for 1 week I was getting calls from [protected] & +[protected] to register in Shine. Finally on 30th June I got call from [protected] from a person claiming to be Sudhanshu and he told me to register to shine.com by paying one time fee for year long subscription and assistance from shine.com. He kept on telling that shine.com is a part of Hindustan times and hence they have a huge database of recruiters from large companies and find enclosed sequence of events thereon
                  1. [protected]@shine.com sent me a proforma invoice (IN20230630_824473) for Application Booster Package for Rs. 3657
                  2. I did payment of Rs. 3657 by UPI and got a confirmation from [protected]@ccavenue.com
                  3. I also got confirmation mail from [protected]@shine.com for the receipt (IN20230630_824473)_115010) and another mail from r.[protected]@shine.com for the receipt of Rs. 3657 for Application Booster Package (including Resume Showcase for 1 year and Application Highlighter for 6 months)
                  4. After this I got a mail from Shine.com – [protected]@shine.com to upload resume, which I uploaded on the link in the mail.
                  5. After this Sudhanshu called and told me that he would arrange for a meeting with a relationship manager who would work on my profile and help me in the application process.
                  6. At 4:30 pm on 30th Sadhanshu called from [protected] and connected me to Anu Tiwari. She started saying that she will help me in getting a job in MNC and my pay is less and I have been working in my current company for 15 years and recruiters don’t advertise jobs, but Shine has good relations with companies as they are a part of Hindustan Times Media and have a good amount of job requirements. She told me that she will assign a expert to work on my resume and will also do verification of my certificates and background. She told me currently Organizations don’t want to waste their time on this and get the verification done by portals like Shine. She also told me that Shine will present my resume to the recruiter and asked whether I was OK. I said ok. Then she asked me to open my mail and check.
                  7. I got a mail from [protected]@shine.com for a proforma invoice (IN20230630_822814) for Job Security Guidance with Job thought Report for Rs. 6266
                  8. I questioned Anu about this when she said this payment is required so that I can apply and morning payment of Rs. 3657 was for registration
                  9. I told her I will pay in 2 days but she insisted that I pay as it was month end and rates would increase. I reluctantly paid.
                  10. After paying she again called from another number[protected] to check my mail.
                  11. On checking mail there was receipt (IN20230630_822814_175415) for Rs. 6266 from [protected]@shine.com and also from [protected]@ccavenue.com
                  12. This was followed by another invoice (IN20230630_82220) of Rs. 10619 from [protected]@shine.com.
                  13. Anu told me that this is the last invoice as the service for Professional Summary and threatened me that if I don’t pay then earlier payments will be wasted.
                  14. I confirmed and paid thinking Shine.com is a genuine party and paid Rs. 10619 via internet banking.
                  15. On checking mail there was receipt (IN20230630_822820_180754) for Rs. 10619 from [protected]@shine.com and also from [protected]@ccavenue.com
                  16. This was followed by yet another invoive (IN20230630_822839) of Rs. 15995 for Education Verification Plus Package 2 and Visual Resume for Senior professionals
                  17. I told Anu I will complain to police wherein she abused me. I told her to connect me to her senior where in she connected me someone from Account department who said he will give a discount and sent another invoive (IN20230630_822870) for Rs 11931 and said after this there is no need to do any payment.
                  18. I did payment of Rs 11931 and got a return mail from [protected]@shine.com for receipt as per (IN20230630_822870_184308)
                  19. This was followed by yet another invoice (IN20230630_822873) for Rs 11916 for job profile verification which I did not pay.
                  20. Both Anu and Sudhanshu threatened me and used abusive language saying that I am working in same company for 15 years and having less pay as compared to industry standard
                  21. This whole episode was going on from 4:30 to 7 pm after which I stopped taking their phone.
                  22. I called on the Customer helpline number [protected] where also I got similar response.

                  I request you to look into the matter and I am sure these people are misusing the Shine and Hindustan Times name and extracting money from people. I do not have any faith in the portal due to these people and do not want any service. Kindly help me in getting refund for the amount paid.

                    I am contacting you regarding fraud done by Shine .com team (mohammad.[protected]@shine.com, r.[protected]@shine.com, [protected]@shine.com, swati.[protected]@shine.com) where I paid around 17455 Rs for the services mentioned below bearing order numbersCP464598, CP464596, CP464543, and IN20230428_794852_145055, Many unethical people run scams/frauds misrepresenting people from shine .com . Some days back i received a call from shine.com for the application booster plan of the same, after their repeated calls I opted for their service day on Saturday but immediately after that i received another call from shine.com saying that your other services are mandatory and you've to enroll for it then only you can access the former, i enrolled for one then other, then other, then other when the price kept on increasing I realized that this is some unethical way of sales, they mislead the customers and then dupe them by selling the packages and giving false assurances, now when i'm asking for refund they're denying that as well.I recorded every call I received and I have all the recording what I discussed with them for concern services .
                    Kindly refund my money Rs.17455 as soon as possible.

                    I got a call from shine representative asking whether i am looking for a job on 27 April. She then connected me to a senior . She told me i need to pay 3657 for registering which i did. Later, he connected me to a person who was supposed to be my profile handler and she the. Said my education, experience need to be verified after which a presentation needs to be prepared which would be shared with overseas recruiter. She then mailed me saying that i need to pay more 4837. So I told her I was not informed about the same she said it's for education varification. I told her that i will not pay anything more then this she said i dont need to so i payed . She said education varification done and the. She said job search guidance for which she sent me another mail invoice saying that i need to pay more 6961/- I was angry as she had mentioned that i need not pay more. I questioned her asking why are the details not given to the clients in advance? For which she replied accounts people have to generate it at the same time. I once again asked her "Do I need to spend more after this payment" she said no this is last and the profile would be completed. I payed the amount 6961/- and she said the profile is complete. A minute later she sends another mail invoice saying that i need to pay 9558/- for the preparation of presentation. I was absolutely furious about the same. I told her I am not interested and i need my money back I told her my 9 year daughter passed away 10 days back and suffering from finiancial crisis and you are looting in such a way she told sir you will get response from tomorrow she told you can pay 2000 later you pay remaining then I paid.

                    After this I got conformation mail for the orders . Now day onward I was waiting for the calls regarding the services I have not received any calls of servivice assistance for 15 to 20 days, though I was busy in rituals I took it lightly as unable focus as my 9 year daughter expired.

                    Later after 15 days I mailed them what you promised not doing I think this is fraud.

                    I then called shine and asked him that why aren't you giving the breakout of the cost incurred at every step to the client and why are you not sharing my updated resume as you told we have shared to thousand recruiters i asked a copy of that ? He said we can't do that. I know it was my mistake to trust "Shine" and i dont know whether i will get my money back. But I want to highlight that Shine job portal is fooling and looting people. Kindly take this complaint into the account. I lost my daughter and during this they have done this to me . I will launce complaint in every portal against shine for such frauds.

                    I will go legally for that if I have to spent my time and money, l but I will highlight this so that no other will become fool. Will take this to media also.

                        Payment needs to inform primary about full charge, threating to pay money otherwise lose your last payment also.

                        Initially one of the guys spoken about only 3099 and after another person Siva spoken this is the last payment you need to pay after you will receive money through lacs only and after made payment of 4777.00 i informed them unable to make money finally, they convinced to pay only last charge here after no charges will be there... 9556/- paid as last charge. Again, Siva sent another mail for pay money - resume preparation 15, 698. I really sorry i unable to make even single money because you guys not even mention anything previously with amount that need to pay for my career growth. Nothing pre-informed they shared through email and in the live call forcing me to pay and they not giving me time to think about it... They keep on spoken 1.30 hr for this payment. Kindly refund my money back.

                        Still im not received any mail regarding refund of money back. I'm clearly informing them not need any packages and any boosters any other ### things... Only required refund. Im not looking for any CAREer change and job change currently... Refund required... The shine people still sending initiation of course, activation things only. I dont need to activate anything. Need only refund of money 17500/- No more course activation. I need mail for refund return and date confirm of my return money back... Untill i want this complaint to still active don't close.

                            I talked to employee of Shine, still no refund initiated by team and their client manager and team writer of Shine. Com still no refund initiated to my account. As a honest person, i request to icici bank for this refund. They given the amount of 84 days for dispute clerance untill case not resolved.
                            All detailed was hacked by some one during process understanding with shine.com team canada and usa.

Shine employee confirmed during concall with me that shine team confirms that this is landline call and some trace the amount and detail to shine which is dine by your end. I need my refund that the solution. In future i will never recommend to do or get service of shine tea.

                              I want to refund my payment which was already given to shine.com for jon opportunities for USA AND CANADA.
                              A fraud company is shine, after getting payment no one support and denay to refund my money back to my account. All payment details are noticed by Shine team members with contact of fraud and hackers. All are working and involved with them. During call with shine employee some fraud persons add in concall.

                              They notice my account, mobile and their financial detail of payment in exact amount. They noticed about every payment.
                              I need my payment refund.

                                I have been asked for basic service fee of rs.3200 by Mr.shaif claimed to be HR at shine.com for providing job opportunities and next day a woman claimed to be Rajni Sharma - senior relationship manager trapped me by asking few questions about my job requirements and later started to send multiple proforma one after the other after each payment is done saying that this would be last which total summed up to rs.87000. And when I asked her for sending me proofs for whatever certification she accepted to give she didn't provide, instead asked for some more amount for completing the payment process. They are not ready to give me refund or provide the services for which payment has been made.

                                I want my money refunded at any cost and don't want your services.

                                  I received call from shine.com representative named as shaif who asked to pay rs.3200 for basic services on 22.06.23 and on the next day I e on 23.06.2023 a lady named as Rajni Sharma who claimed to senior relationship manager trapped my with her attentive sayings about opportunities abroad and within india. She started to send invoices one after the other claiming for different types of services which costs rs. 5300, rs.8300, rs.14000, rs. 23000, rs.33000 which total as rs.87000. I have all the details o f transactions and invoices which they sent to me & I need them to be refunded.
