Complaint regarding money refund

Hello I am Pallavi Pradhan. On 22nd April, 2023 I got call from (Simran) from Gurugram stating that she is from Shine.com company, and after asking the location and job which I wanted to do she gave me number of another man (Akhilesh Kumar) who asked me to send all the details (passport size photo, I'D proof, and latest marksheet). I have only one thing to share with everyone in India. Pls don’t ever think of taking their services. It is a fraud company. With only one intention of making money. Their executive will make lot of false promises with no support. I have lost 3 lakh with no support. If you have money better donate it to a charity rather getting cheated by them

        This is dr.charishma Saroj(dentist) I have received a call stating from shine and my application is been selected for medical reviewer job and asked me to pay an initial registration fee of 3500/- which will be refundable back to me after getting the job for registration which I have pay through the details given by the mail which was from shine at the next moment I have received a call from the same shine employee stating that your application is been verified and background verification is being done and it costs about 6500 for that which I have paid through the same details provided by in the mail which was again from shine. The very next day I have changed my mind because have an better opportunity and made a call to the employee to cancel my application he again stated that it is also chargeable of 2900 which I have again pay through the same details provided and he also stated that all my amount will be refunded back to me with in 3 days and not a single rupee was refunded till now all the mails are from shine address and I have all the mails and all the details regarding my payments please do take some action and help me get my amount back .

          I got a call from shine.com for paid service where I paid 3105 for premium package. I paid the amount and got a call from RK sahu(+[protected] and he explained me asked asked to pay the amounts one by one. It came around 35k and paid it. After that he sent another link for 24k just to enable the notification to receive the job alert to my WhatsApp. Since I denied to pay he is forcing me like anything and raising his voice at the max. And also mentioned that they will not guarantee that I get the job opportunities. Please help me in getting my amount refunded. I will never use shine at any cost here after

          Respected sir, already I have paid so many amounts. I raised this complaint to refund my money back. Will you be able to refund my money or not. If you put in DND mode how will I get calls to resolve my issue. Using the provided email and mobile number, you can find how much money is paid. Why can't you start the refund process?. This complaint is for refund request. Not for call, since I have already PAID AROUND 40K to shine.

            Initially I got a call from shine.com for paid service where I paid 3k. After that I received a call from shine experts and forced me to pay 35k. Again he sent an email for 24k just for enabling notification part. Since I refused to pay he is raising his voice like that I cannot grantee on job and also I will have only less visibility since I didn't opt that service. Please help me in getting my amount refunded

              Mr. Ranveer Pandey from Shine.com have contacted me from ([protected] & [protected] & [protected] ) through [protected]@shine.com and asked to make a payment of 3292 initially for 1year then later he has reduced the price to 3001 with 6months validity and providing commitment to provide a job in a week time and also will increase the validity from 6months to 1 year. This incident has happened 3rdMay2023 and 4thMay2023 is when I am writing this complaint here.

              The process explained was that once the payment is done the relationship manager would call and understand the profile and help you in getting your dream job. And no more payment is required.

              Later, Once I made the payment, I received a call from the relationship manager (Mr. Rohit -[protected]) to make another payment for getting my verification done through Shine.com and that was about 5192 and when i told i need a time to decide to make another payment the person started showing his character and started saying to make the payment immediately if not this service would not be valid and started saying that 'Appko Job thodi na chahiye', he wasnt ready to give me a space to think on this and nor ready to share the complete process after making this payment.
              I have been asking him to let me know the complete process which i need to go through while looking for a job from Shine.com.. He denied to provide the complete info.. On several request he just sent an email with 2 statement and not the entire process and started forcing me to make immediate payment of 5192.
              I denied and asked time. I also felt Rohit and Ranveer both were same person by hearing their voice.

              Next day I contacted Ranveer and asked to share a refund process since i havent yet completed 24hrs paid for this services and he started to talk rudely and told the money cannot be refunded. We told we may raise a complain but he wasnt bother for that and told 'Hume Darr nahi lagta', he didnt try to solve the problem or guide us a way to close this. I did sent him an email and yet to receive a response from him.

              This complain I am writing to explain that they talk very professionally and try to convince that you will get a job. Doesnt do more communication over email and call you multiples time. This Ranveer is been following with me from 2 months hence it created a confident in me to make the payment..

              They will provide many reasons to showcase why they are charging you for very step you use their services and ask payment.

              They dont use any bad words but they try to provoke you and say some statement to make the payment. Statement Like ' 100% Job assurance', 'One week time to get you onboarded', 'This is a small investments and can get you higher returns', 'You can pause this package once you get a job and later you can activate whenever you have a job needs in future', 'Your profile is strong and getting job is very easy for you', ' your profile needs some improvement hence you may need to pay for this', etc etc but once payment is done.. They do response but start showing their attitude like' This is only our policy and we cant do anything', 'If you wish to continue then fine if not your wish', 'We can only say things orally and will not write over email'. etc etc..

              Please BEWARE OF THEM.

              Have attached the payment made yesterday 3rdMay2023 and also attached the invoice of 5Kplus which they have asked to make the payment. And all call history details. Also attached the email sent them for refund or cancellation process.

                Really worst service from shine, i have taken a service today the executive is totally making our self to forcing for other services which is not at all relevent but he is forcing me to pay for other seervices and telling that you will not get jobs sir if you are not paying for it... what is the word... do you think with a customer you speak like this...

                i have asked to refund my money back he is laughing and he is saying not going to active my services if i am not taking one more service,

                I have taken service for Rs 3292/- (resume booster and display) IN20230503_[protected]_[protected] and he told to me take one more service for Rs 5192.00/- (Background verification)IN20230503_[protected]_[protected], when i paid this he is asking me to pay for one more service which is cost 9+K really fraud service,

                he is saying with out taking one more service i can't proceed sir"
                what nonsense is this, he is litterly bulling and forcing to take service, please don't buy this package, shine is really worst

                  Hello sir/ ma'am,
                  I am uttam Sasmal, on 29/04/2023 I received a system generated call from shine.com. As I was very desperate to change my job so I attended the call and the call transferred to one of their member in shine.com where he explained me about paid service with nominal price ₹3073.00/-, and also said they will explain me everything about the service of ₹3073.00/- and would help me to get new job within few days with this amount only without any further payment. So with this information I was convinced to paid the charge.

                  As soon as I bought the service, this first member asked me to wait for the next call of service expert (rohit upadhyay [protected]) who will explain me about the service for which I paid ₹3073.00/- and would help me to get more information about my job requirements according my preference soon.

                  Within soom minutes the second member (rohit upadhyay) called me from [protected], who is a service expert. We discussed about job preference, my expectations from job for the starting 5-10min. Then gradually he started his mind game. He asked me to join him & visits the links as per he assist. He told me to go all the links simultaneously with him. They are so much into this job that by forcing you to go simultaneously with them, they will take the "ability to think" from you. They will give you such a big hope, flatter you, make you think that by using their services it could give us dream job. Same thing happened with me.

                  He told me in order to avail good job, I would have to take one more service " Education verification plus package" Of ₹5192.00/-, this would help me to make my profile better. So I gone for the second payment.

                  Once this payment is done, he asked me to get one more service "job profile verification plus packages" Of ₹9556.00/-.Now this third time he is asking me to pay, with hesitation I paid the amount. I thought this would be my last payment after this I could enjoy my services.

                  But then again he said I would have to avail another service "mid level resume writing service" of ₹14158.00/-. I declined this offer and said I have no further money to make payments, but they asked me to pay through credit card and this amount is not big as your dreams. With so many mixed thoughts I approved to use the credit card and paid the amount (4th payment) of ₹14158.00/-.

                  But post his situation, he didn't stopped his job, he again asked me to avial another service for ₹22302.00/- in which I said I have no money no pay but he knew I have credit card and he forced me to use that. I used again the credit card for the 5th payment of ₹22302.00/- . Here after I came to know that I fall into a trap and can't able to come out I asked him to stop any further services now I am not interested in any of your services. Now that he knows I am getting his intentions his way of talking changes from soft to rude and bossy. He again asked me for the 6th & 7th services worth ₹27791.00/- & ₹37015.00/- and this time he threatened me to pay or else all the previous services would have no meaning. Just to save my previous amount I paid for this 6th & 7th services also. Then one more service was introduced to me with their same so called "promises" That this is the last payment you are doing. I was so exhausted by their trap that if I didn't paid this one my whole previous payment will go in vain. I was forced to pay for the 8th service of ₹30807.00/- . Now that all the payment has been done. Mr rohit didn't entertain much after that and cut the call.

                  After I calculated my all payment which found to be a huge amount of ₹149822.00/- .It started from small amount to bigger amount. He never mentioned that I have to make such huge payment and 8 different payments. Before every payment he assured me it is the last one and I fall in this blunder. Immediately I called the bank & reported about all these. With the very next day I send them an e-mail to stop my all services as my services were about to start. So I informed them to put halt in my process and refund my money. But I didn't got any answer from them. Next day I called them by somehow arranging the number but they only transferring the call from one to another and nobody is answering related to my query. Then at last waiting for the call whole day I reached to talk to the person who said there is no policy for refund. Either you use it or not. I requested him to consider my concern but how could I forget they all are working in a same "money making trap". Not only he talked rudely but also he changed their norms and terms and conditions. Like As there is no job guarantee(earlier 100%job guarantee), this service is only for 180days(earlier 360days) .

                  Below are the details of all services for which I paid:
                  1. Application highlighter service
                  ₹3073.00/-
                  2. Education verification plus package
                  ₹5192.00/-
                  3. Job verification plus package
                  ₹9556.00/-
                  4. Mid level resume writing services
                  ₹14158.00/-
                  5. Jobs on the move ₹22302.00/-
                  6. Linkedin profile summary plus package
                  ₹27791.00/-
                  7. Master in leadership & strategy management training &certification ₹37015.00/-
                  8. Visual resume for experienced professional plus package
                  ₹30807.00/-

                  The above services and their total cost price is ₹149822.00/- is such a huge amount for me to pay, please kindly help me to get justice against shine.com by refunding my hard earned money as earliest. Please let me know if you want any other details. I am waiting to hearing back from you.

                    I have subscribed for the following services vide order numbers with Shine.com (HT Media Subsidiary). The call was from Bangalore :

                    1. CP460720 : Rs 5192.00 active since April 7, 2023

                    2. CP460715 : Rs. 3657.00 active since April 7, 2023

                    i was promised to get Job calls in my quest to find a relevant one. I have been unemployed for the past 7 months and even after multiple attempts to contact them; resulted in either disconnection or non-attendance. this has been blatant trust violation and I would like to have apt action taken against such lackadaisical approach to a job seeker.

                      They didn't return mu mediator and security money as I had not pay so called gst fee of 4320/-. I was unable to pay this amount so decided to leave it and yes I had completed their 24 pages project also. They refused to refund me the amount.

                        I am Krishna Sai, I have received call from Shine.com, saying they will offer job, i have paid total Amount 10854/-, after paying amount, they are not responding and scolding in Vulgar language, I am requesting you to kindly refund my money at earliest, I am attaching the all transaction proof here. Kindly help me

                          I paid RS.3657 for one of job requirements with shine and they are asking more for additional services which are not worth. I asked for refund within an hour of transaction but they are refusing to pay. I want to lodge complaint against this.

                            Hello, here by I'm rising complaint against shine.com regarding fake job paid service, I already paid 55000/- but still my services not activated, if i call to relationship manager regarding service Activation, he is telling that final payment around 25000/-, I said I'm unable to pay, so he replied Services will not activate further, So i asked further for Refund, so he is Denying.. Kindly refund my all money...

                              The behaviour of abroad job expert Miss Kritika is very insulting.
                              I was accident by bike and I am current physically and financial in problem and my salary will come on 25 April 2023.
                              So I requested to her that I will choose paid service on 25 April 2023.

                              Then She told if you have not 3000 amount why you are see the dream for abroad.
                              Means why I am see dream for abroad as right now I am giving 3000 rupees.

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam

                                  On 7th April 2023, a representative from Shine.com contacted and convinced me that a one-time payment is required to register my profile with them for getting job opportunities from various employers on a daily basis. As they have explained that they are part of Hindustan Times, I trusted them and remitted Rs.3657/- via UPI Dated 07/04/2023 to get registered.
                                  After paying the said amount, another person named Mr. Umesh called me from Shine.com, saying there will be another payment of Rs. 7958/- towards Job Profile Verification Plus Package, Interviewing, Hiring Test and document verification. He said that, there won’t be any additional payment for further process and he would be the one-point contact person for all kind of training and recruitment. I have clearly asked him about further process and he told, there will be no more requirement of any more payment, and Shine.com will initiate Interviews based on the availability of vacancy- maximum 2 interviews per day.
                                  Once I paid the amount of Rs. 7958/- on 10.04.2023, he immediately compelled me to pay additional 15995/- as second module charge. Since I have asked them about the payments and the misled caused by Mr. Umesh that Rs.7958/- will be the final amount for getting interview calls from Shine.com, I disagreed to pay and asked for refund of the paid amount. They denied the refund and the call was connected to Mr. Swaroop Singh, who introduced himself as Finance Head. He also denied refund and compelled me for Rs.15995/- as last and final payment to shine.com for job placement. I have received a mail from s.[protected]@shine.com with bifurcation of fees with below message Quote *** Final Recommendation :

                                  "As per the discussion for your profile, we are sharing the complete Services recommended for you, We will complete the final process of your profile to go for effective job assistance. Final process cost will be Approx. INR 13000/- +GST Services will be :
                                  • Resume Writing
                                  • Education Verification Plus Package
                                  Afterward, you don't need to pay any single amount for any services in the future.

                                  Kindly complete the final processes at the earliest for better job search assistance. We assure you to deliver the 100% best services from our end. Kindly utilize the services for the best job search assistance.********* unquote

                                  On the basis of the above mail and compulsion, they forced me to pay Rs. 15995/- on 10/04/2023. But they have not done any document verification. No interview calls or study materials were received. Immediately after making this payment of Rs.15995/- Mr Umesh called me and asked Rs. 24000 + GST for proceeding further. Then I realized that I have been cheated by Shine. com. I have asked for refund of the entire amount which I have paid, but they denied the refund and threatened me. Even after repeated enquiries from my side they were hiding the facts about the payments.

                                  As it was a complete fraud, I don’t want to deal with Shine.com anymore and I need to get the refund of the below three transactions:
                                  i. Rs. 3657/- UPI Transaction ID[protected].
                                  ii. Rs. 7958/- UPI Transaction ID[protected].
                                  iii. Rs. 15995 via credit card.
                                  Total Refund Required Rs. 27610/-

                                  I request you to do the necessary actions to get the refund at the earliest.

                                  Please note, I have not purchased or not availed none of your service. I have paid the amount based on compulsion and misguidance/misrepresentation from your representative...
                                  Also I don't want your service due to your fraudulent activities.

                                  Hence I have to get back the refund of the amount, which was looted from me.

                                      A month back Shine.com sales team Rohit Upadhay made me buy Shine Services promising me that they will be getting me a job. I have paid for services worth 70k on the Shine platform without even one interview call.I had raised 4 complaints and nobody responds to them.My complaints were:

                                      1. Shine Services premium jobs open up in iimjobs job portal : what is the point of this? why pay when you are getting the same service at iimjobs for free?
                                      2. I work in HR and they claim their resumes to be ATS friendly. I have checked and they are not.
                                      3. The vendor for Background Verification has been sitting on my docs for a month. There is no update.
                                      4. The only messages I get are scams and immigration agencies continuously calling and because I am on the job hunt I have to face

                                      Today a call from this number [protected] and they asked me about my complaints indicating that the market is bad and shine is paying refunds. I mentioned that I was told on my last call with a Shine Associate that there are no refund services. To that he said that because of the layoffs and market scenario we are not able to provide jobs. He told me there is a nominal processing fee of 10 Rs and to login to this website https://shineservice.co/register/verification. Naturally I thought its a legitimate call and he heard my concerns and told it will take 10 RS and that Shine does not have refunds but we are not having many job offers and hence we will process the refund.

                                      On registering I wanted to pay via credit card and the transaction was asking for 4988 and I did not pay, called the same number and asked. He toldme that this transaction is cancelled and asked me to share the bank message with me which I did. The transaction had ended and hence the OTP was invalid. However, money got deducted from my account. A total of 9588 has been deducted. I blocked my card instantly else I do not know how much would be the balance right now.

                                      I will be complaining on the company, on Rohit Upadhay from the sales team and your team overall as well. The FIR will be well on the CEOs names as well for sharing data that is personal else how would it be possible that he would know I am having issues with the portal. I will be writing to your investors as well that this is what you are providing during tumultuous economic times when money is so very important and jobs are so scarce. You should be ashamed of yourselves to be a part of this.
