I was asked to pay for the package of Rs. 4600 (Resume highlight, booster and dedicated career guidance). Paid the amount on the same day (Invoice id - IN[protected][protected]_[protected] / transaction id - IN20240605. Also they said that a career guide will be calling me by the following day which also happened. Career guide (Sarala / Virendra Singh and Ankul advised me to pay Rs.6961 extra more for my certificate pre-verification process,...

Hi team, I received a call from shine.com regarding application booster service of around 4 k on 24th May and mentioned that there are no further payments to me made from my end. I paid 4000 on 24 th may. I received a call on 25th may from relationship manager (Mr Pankaj Sharma) and he continued to send me invoices to pay the amount. I have paid around 13, 000 on 25th may and when I refused to make further payments he immediately said no refund is available. I do not wish to avail any service and want my money back.

    I opted for paid service of Shine but here's the turn of events happened.
    1. Got a call from Shine for paid services and they mentioned to pay Rs.3292.00 for the paid service applicable for one year (Application Booster Package). For this I made the payment ( on 21st May 2024)
    2. The next day I got call from the Relationship manager for activating the services and there goes the series of invoice in the incremental order of amount
    First Invoice: Education Verification Plus Package Cost Rs. Rs. 4673.00/-
    Second Invoice: Job Profile Verification Plus Package Cost Rs. 9556/-
    Third Invoice: Senior Level Resume Writing Services Cost Rs. Rs. 15338.00/-
    Fourth Invoice: Jobs On the move Cost Rs. 24779.00/-
    Fifth Invoice: Job and Interview Assistance, Career Assessment Test with Expert Counselling, Linkedin Profile Summary - Express Cost Rs. 32683.82/-

    Up until all the above invoices I ended up paying for them as the Relationship Manager never told that these packages are NOT Mandatory and optional but he portrayed as if these are necessary else I won't be able to get much opportunities. And also he kept on mentioning AFTER EACH INVOICE that this is the last payment after that you don't have pay extra penny. Then came the final attempt to extract the money
    Sixth Invoice: Master In Leadership and Strategy Management Training & Certification, Managing Your Career, Interviewing and Hiring Test Cost Rs. 42307.00/-

    It was never told to me that the paid service will involve these many costly packages. Also It was NEVER mentioned to me that these are NOT MANDATORY and optional. Also when I denied to pay the sixth invoice then I was told that "If you do not make this payment the we are not responsible if your profiles don't get shortlisted for any job interview process." This looked like my last payment will impact the services I was asked to pay for till Fifth Invoice.

    Since I have not at all activated my services and not willing to proceed with this hence I would humbly request to please initiate the refund of my paid money. This was clearly a breach of trust and was kind of forced payment.

      Hi,

      Please be informed that, a person his name was Peter called from shine.com today from the number [protected] and told about 3 job offers(CTS, Accenture, Omega) and he asked to pay the amount for initiating process 2000 to the number [protected] I've send, again he told like we need to initiate 2 steps pay 5000 I've paid again he asked 8000 I got tension and said i don't want this job refund my amount again he called pay 2000 to close your profile then only we can initiate the refund process I've paid again one lady has talked and said she is HOD we have to follow the company rule so you have to pay 12500 for this refund process totally I've paid 28500 after the both mobile numbers has switched off.

      I've done my payments via Gpay, please help me to refund my amount to [protected].

      I believed in Shine and registered for my job but now all my amount has gone, is that possible could you please take an action and refund my amount.

      Not only for me there are lot of peoples affected by this company this kind of company should not active please take appropriate action and close this company.

        unethical practice to ask for services

        I visited the Shine website for additional services
        They asked me to pay Rs. 3392
        The number used for calling is: [protected] - a verified Shine number

        Now, after everything one person named Rohit had called yesterday, asking to pay Rs. 5000 +
        I hesitated because it was not mentioned earlier. I asked them to call on 04/05/2024

        They again asked to pay Rs. 5k, 9.5k, 15k, 24k, 33k and later 44k...

        Misguide and mislead to make payment for unwanted modules, which is neither used, nor activated. cancel the order and refund the amount.

        why do we need to pay this huge amount which not required to me, everything is hidden,

        Why in a call we need to pay all these amounts? also why don't you have a refund policy
        which i have bought and didn't use your service yet or activate your service yet.
        As per govt rules we have an option to cancel at any time with in 15 days or any streaming services also have regulation for cancellation
        i hope all learning modules also have cancellation policy apply, contact HR ministry

            Total fraud conducted by shine.com employees without informing about hidden charges demand money money and money if not pay harrasment done by there employees first take 3293 on name of application booster package then In name of education verification service 5192 then in name of job profile verification plus package 9556 then now demands more money 15987 total fraud company I want my money back please help.

              Shine company call me for Job search assistant paid services.
              After payment they started demanding more money and said if you will not pay then your all money will be forfeited and you will not get any services.
              It's a total scam. I need my money back

                My name is Prajakta, I received a call from Shine.com representative on "18 April, 2024", wherein he explained me about Paid services of shine.com with Nominal price of Rs.3657/-, initially i showed no interest but then he started flattering about the services offered by them, wherein he said they will assign a dedicated "Relationship Manager" for me and he will closely work with me to help me to get new Job...

                Beware of Deceptive Practices by Shine.com!
                I am deeply disappointed and concerned about the deceitful practices of Shine.com, particularly the misleading charges and fraudulent payment acquisition tactics employed by their representatives.
                 I purchased “Application Booster Package” from Shine.com after paying Rs.3, 757.00 on[protected].
                 On[protected], I was contacted by Sh. Virendra representing Shine.com (Mob. No. [protected]), who claimed to be my "Relationship Manager”. Mr Virendra, discussed with me about my work experience, qualification, etc and advised that two steps is to be taken by Shine.com for getting a desired job by me; first to prepare my Profile as per current need of their corporate client & secondly I have had to participate in an on-line test something like ‘Career Assessment Test’ for which I had to pay some fee. The Fee would be around 5K to 6k excluding GST. He further assured me categorically on my query for requirement of any further payment that NO FURTHER PAYMENT WAS REQUIRED.
                 After my payment for Rs.6, 475.00 as discussed & agreed upon, I was contacted by Mr. Virendra and he coerced me into further payments for which he had already sent the link under false pretenses, promising job assistance without disclosing additional charges.
                 I found later-on that the link Mr. Virendra sent initially of whom I make payment; had no relationship with our discussion for preparing Profile & On-line Test. I found the name of Product for which my payment was acquired fraudulently was "Job Search Guidance With Job Thought Report".
                 Despite Mr. Virendra’s assurance of no further payments required, I was later coerced into for paying Rs.8, 679.00 for another product name "Visual Resume for Senior Professionals & Interviewing and Hiring Test" package”. The name of this package suggests it is same for which discussion was made with me. When I questioned Mr Virendra, why he sent me the link for "Job Search Guidance With Job Thought Report", Sh. Virendra and his associate persistently harassed me for more payments, disregarding my concerns and wasting my time.
                 This experience has not only been financially damaging but has also shattered my trust in Shine.com's integrity. After demand for further payment by Mr Virendra; I instantly requested for refund of the unjustifiably obtained money by Shin.com and a thorough investigation into these fraudulent practices.
                 After several complaint to all available mails Id of Shine.com & by telecommunications; they sent me a Settlement Deed to sign & if I sign the deed, then they would refund my money.
                 The Settlement Deed was fails in totality to accurately reflect the actual reasons for the conflict & falsely includes fabricated clauses i.e. I had opted for those two products and the aforesaid services were already provided to me on 23.03.2024 & 26.03.2024 respectively against the payment of Rs.10, 132.00.
                 Shine.com is insisting through mail & over mobile to sign the Settlement Deed containing false and misleading clauses. Instead of straightforwardly refunding the money owed to me, Shine.com insisted on presenting the process as if they were making a generous donation to me, rather than fulfilling their obligation to return the money which is rightfully belongs to me & acquired by them fraudulently. This deceptive practice is unacceptable and highlights the need for caution when dealing with such online job portals.
                 I urge you all to exercise caution and vigilance when engaging with platforms like Shine.com, as they may resort to fraudulent tactics to manipulate their users.

                  Received call from shine.com over helping to get job in reputed companies like wipro, ibm, infosys and so many others.

                  made me please to make payment of 15480 rupees for 3 different services.

                  and after that getting calls for taking more services .

                  shine.com relationship manager guranted me job within 10 days.

                  but i have not received even a single call.

                  i want my money back and the time they wasted .

                      I should have seen online reviews before falling prey to sweet talks of the reps. I paid more than 3292 to the first guy and then a account manager talked and got my money 34086 rupees in name of one service after another. As someone who has lost job due to layoff, I was desperate and was nodding my head. He emptied my account and asked for 20k more for final payment. I tried using my credit card and it failed so I told him I will try the next day. By then I casually saw online reviews and was shocked at the scams happening in the name of shine. But I will tell you what happened later. That night I lost my mom due to health issue. With no money in my account as I had paid everything to the scammers of shine. I sent an email politely to call me later as my mom is no more. Four days later my account manager tells me to give me 30 mins despite me telling my mom is no more and I do not have money in my bank account, How inhumane can these people be? All they care is about is MONEY. I feel that Naukri folks are much better as they dont upsell and loot consumers money. Please advise how can I go to court against these people as I know several people in legal and have call recordings against them.

                        I have registered my package for further job profile.. and than Mr.sunil had called me to complete profile and he send 2 links for payments at that time have clear talk with him that i have clear with him that i will not pay any rupees after that..then your guys confirmed with me that you have not pay any ruppes now ...and trapped me totally ... i have payment and then he had sent one more link for payment...even i have confirmed so he is played with me and send me package details on last ...i have told him a lot but he had not any clear discussion with me...i totally trapped from shine team member with false commitment and fraudster activity happed from shine team member with me..i will fill the consumer court complaint againt this guy and highlight it in media for further.

                          Shine executives called me on the 6th of April, 2024 to avail the application booster package to which I consented and paid for. Later on the 9th of April, 2024, the Shine executives called regarding the same and said that they would increase visibility and interest among the recruiter, and to do so they mentioned I need to pay 2 payments only. Later on, they asked me to pay for everything and my bill added around 50, 000/-. After every payment, he asked me to pay some more for extra visibility and he did not let me off the call claiming that this was a live process and if stopped, nothing could be done.

                          Starting with the Education Verification Plus package amounting to
                          Rs. 4673/- (Transaction ID: N20240409_[protected]_[protected] ) and Job profile verification plus package amounting to Rs. 9556/- (Transaction ID: IN20240409_[protected]_[protected]) and for Resume Writing Service For Entry Level package amounting to Rs.15159 (Transaction ID: IN20240409_[protected]_[protected]) and finally with the package named Job on the move amounting to Rs. 24779 /- (Transaction ID: IN20240409_[protected]_[protected]).

                          I asked them to cancel all the services they manipulated me into subscribing for it. The executive responded that he couldn't do it and no refund would be provided for the same.

                          As a student, I can't afford to lose this much money on a bad and manipulative service provided by Shine.com.

                          I KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO HELP ME RECOVER MY MONEY. THIS IS MY VERY KIND REQUEST.

                            I have purchased the 1st Service on 29th March 2023 informed by agent that one of the representative will assist you to activate the service.

                            After that I have got a call saying that the service activation will take an 40-45 min. And also available on call with Laptop saying that all the information regarding your career will be taking and then they will assist for the services.

                            In that call, I have given all the information about me and my past career. Post that he given that without they forced me to take two more services after that he was forcing me take more services. Then I realised that they are just selling all the services.

                            After that I stopped all the things and asked on same day that I do not want any services from Shine.com and make the services to me.

                              I got the call from Shine.com and they insisted frequently in that they will provide Resume building services.

                              Firstly, I paid 3657 Rupee for Resume booster Services on 1st Apr 2023.

                              And they insisted me to take Job profile verification and Interview test and asked me to make payment of[protected]+9674). And said that this the final amount to be paid. Once i paid the amount they will build my resume.

                                On march 6th, I got Scammed by Shine, the similar pattern which had happened with other users. I had sent following mail to the them explaining the whole scenario but no resolution from their side.

                                Subject: Request for Immediate Refund of Payments with Interest

                                Dear Shine Team,

                                I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address a deeply concerning and distressing situation regarding the services I have availed from your platform, and to request an immediate refund of all payments made, along with applicable interest.

                                To provide context, I recently engaged with your sales department and subsequently with a relationship manager (RM) with the intention o[censored]tilizing your services for job hunting assistance. Initially, I made a payment of INR 4195 with transaction ID IN20240306_951481_12360, under the assurance that an RM would guide me through the job search process.

                                However, the experience quickly turned sour as I encountered a series of misleading tactics and coercive practices. The RM assigned to me spent a significant amount of time boasting about the potential recruiters associated with your platform, only to later pressure me into making further payments for what was described as a mandatory service, priced at INR 6999 with transaction ID IN20240306_951643_153506. I reluctantly complied, believing it to be necessary for accessing the promised benefits.

                                To my dismay, this was merely the beginning of a manipulative cycle. Subsequent demands for additional payments followed, each time justified under the guise of essential services crucial for securing employment opportunities. I was coerced into making payments totaling INR 37660, under the false pretense that failure to do so would render me ineligible for the services promised.

                                The culmination of this ordeal occurred when I was presented with yet another payment demand of INR 21000, at which point I recognized the deceptive nature of the transactions and refused to proceed any further. It became evident that I had fallen victim to a predatory scheme designed to extract exorbitant sums of money under the guise of assisting with job placement.

                                Furthermore, the continuous boasting about your association with HT Media, as if it were a mark of superiority, only served to exacerbate the sense of manipulation and exploitation I experienced throughout this ordeal. It is unacceptable for a company to rely on its reputation or affiliations to justify unethical practices and take advantage of vulnerable individuals seeking genuine assistance.

                                Despite the pressure exerted by your representatives and the promises made regarding the benefits of these services, I have not utilized any of the offerings provided by your platform. It is evident that the payments made were a result of deceptive practices and coercion, rather than a genuine desire to avail of your services.

                                Given the circumstances outlined above, I demand an immediate refund of the entire amount paid, totaling INR 37660, as I have not utilized any services from your company. along with applicable interest accrued due to the inconvenience and distress caused by the misleading tactics employed during the sales process. I expect this refund to be processed within 7 days from the receipt of this email.

                                Furthermore, I urge your company to review its sales practices and take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such unethical behavior. It is unacceptable to prey on individuals seeking legitimate assistance in their job search endeavors, and I implore you to uphold the integrity and trustworthiness of your platform.

                                Failure to address this matter promptly and adequately will compel me to explore alternative avenues for seeking redress and restitution.

                                  Hi, Today on 3-Apr-2024 i recieved a call from Shine.com website and asked me if I'm looking for any job change or a domain change, I told him that I'm looking for a Job in some domain. He asked me to take the premium services in order to get a better opportunity. I took the premium service and I recieved a call from Shine portal and his name is Vicky Goel. He asked me to provide me some details like my Name, contact details, Mail-id, last CTC, company name, Designation and Updated CV for which I provided him with all the details. After verifying those Mr.Vicky Gal asked me to make the payment of Rs-3657 for Application Booster Package. After I did the payment, he asked me to pay Rs-6838 for Job Profile Verification Plus Package, which I paid the amount again he asked me to pay Rs-8495 for Education Verification Plus Package 2. With this I felt suspicious and asked me to provide in writing whether it is the Last payment or not. By this he gave me by Mail saying that

                                  Greetings of the Day!!

                                  NOTE:THESE ARE THE ONLY SHINE SUGGESTED SERVICES.AFTER THIS NO MORE PAYMENT FOR THE SAME SHINE SERVICES.THE PAYMENT PART WILL BE COMPLETED.

                                  Because of the above mail which was sent me on writing basis, even though I felt suspicious which I paid the amount. Again Mr.Goal asked me to pay for Rs-12849 and in response I asked why I should do the payment as it is clearly mentioned in the Mail stating that all the packages are included in it but in response he told me this is one time payment and the last payment you have to make. After making the payment he again asked me to the payment of Rs-19700 and I did it after speaking with his suprior and as per the Sr.Manager the last payment would be 19, 700 only. They are asking to make the payment of 24779 is for Jobs on the move for which I asked to refund all the payment as I dont have money to make any payment. Shine team is reluctantly telling me, they don't have refund policy.
