On march 6th, I got Scammed by Shine, the similar pattern which had happened with other users. I had sent following mail to the them explaining the whole scenario but no resolution from their side.
Subject: Request for Immediate Refund of Payments with Interest
Dear Shine Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address a deeply concerning and distressing situation regarding the services I have availed from your platform, and to request an immediate refund of all payments made, along with applicable interest.
To provide context, I recently engaged with your sales department and subsequently with a relationship manager (RM) with the intention o[censored]tilizing your services for job hunting assistance. Initially, I made a payment of INR 4195 with transaction ID IN20240306_951481_12360, under the assurance that an RM would guide me through the job search process.
However, the experience quickly turned sour as I encountered a series of misleading tactics and coercive practices. The RM assigned to me spent a significant amount of time boasting about the potential recruiters associated with your platform, only to later pressure me into making further payments for what was described as a mandatory service, priced at INR 6999 with transaction ID IN20240306_951643_153506. I reluctantly complied, believing it to be necessary for accessing the promised benefits.
To my dismay, this was merely the beginning of a manipulative cycle. Subsequent demands for additional payments followed, each time justified under the guise of essential services crucial for securing employment opportunities. I was coerced into making payments totaling INR 37660, under the false pretense that failure to do so would render me ineligible for the services promised.
The culmination of this ordeal occurred when I was presented with yet another payment demand of INR 21000, at which point I recognized the deceptive nature of the transactions and refused to proceed any further. It became evident that I had fallen victim to a predatory scheme designed to extract exorbitant sums of money under the guise of assisting with job placement.
Furthermore, the continuous boasting about your association with HT Media, as if it were a mark of superiority, only served to exacerbate the sense of manipulation and exploitation I experienced throughout this ordeal. It is unacceptable for a company to rely on its reputation or affiliations to justify unethical practices and take advantage of vulnerable individuals seeking genuine assistance.
Despite the pressure exerted by your representatives and the promises made regarding the benefits of these services, I have not utilized any of the offerings provided by your platform. It is evident that the payments made were a result of deceptive practices and coercion, rather than a genuine desire to avail of your services.
Given the circumstances outlined above, I demand an immediate refund of the entire amount paid, totaling INR 37660, as I have not utilized any services from your company. along with applicable interest accrued due to the inconvenience and distress caused by the misleading tactics employed during the sales process. I expect this refund to be processed within 7 days from the receipt of this email.
Furthermore, I urge your company to review its sales practices and take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such unethical behavior. It is unacceptable to prey on individuals seeking legitimate assistance in their job search endeavors, and I implore you to uphold the integrity and trustworthiness of your platform.
Failure to address this matter promptly and adequately will compel me to explore alternative avenues for seeking redress and restitution.
I have attached screenshots of all the payments made.
