Some female called me today to ask if I want to work in Manipal hospital. She said she was calling from shine and would schedule my interview after registration. She sent me a registration form on WhatsApp and when I clicked on form it was appearing 10rs to pay along with a security code which the agent will give so I asked her for the security code and she gave it to me. Then only it clicked on my mind that maybe she is a fraud. However I didn’t pay anything but just wanted to know whether this is regular process or it actually was a fraud.

    I have been a victim of Scam by Shine.Com. I would like to get the refund of the payments that I have done and I have not even used any of the services provided by them. This happened on March04-2024.

    I was searching for job and on Thursday March 02-2024 i got a call from shine.com saying that they can help me get the job faster, so first they asked me about the all the details like education background, professional experiences and my salary expectations and industry where i am looking for change.

    After all the talk for 30 min they said if i take their premium package i will be able to get the job faster since they share my profile with their internal department and share with 1000 consultants who can help me with the job, so they first its just the amount 3292/- and they will start working on my profile and i will got call from the relationship manager who will help me with everything since he will have the similar industry knowledge as i have so i paid after that another day i got call from the relationship manager called Mr. Vikram and he called me and talked about various stuff on how shine can help me with get job very fast and then sort of took my interview where he asked what is my experience and tell me something about yourself and what’s your salary expectation? Why you are leaving your current company? And everything.

    After 40 min he said he will be able to get me a job in 7 days and he will call every day to discuss the progress on my profile and he will job links every week and also he will share my resume with internal recruiters, after that he said i just need to make one which for resume and education verification and everything which was amount 5192/- so i said it was not mentioned by your callcenter team previous day they said i just have to 3k which i paid yesterday so he said no this for your profile boost your resume is not ATC approved and everything so i paid him after saying that I won’t pay anything else now so he said there will one more payment sir and that will be it so i said why?

    He started saying things like this for your profile highlight where is recruiters search for candidates your profile will comes first and everything so after 15 min of him convincing saying all the things which can convince me for a job so i said i will pay but on emi and then i paid again the amount 9556/- after that he said i need to make more payment since i will be able to get 24 lakhs annum salary basis on my skills and experience so i can invest this much for my future and you will get good job and company too and again he said its just a last payment so i paid again the amount 15889/- .

    After that they started saying that i need to show some courses on my resume and everything and he started saying lot of various reasons why i need to and this will help me to get a job which a two week and i will be very happy that i invested all this since i was desperate for job i got convinced and i started paying with netbanking and then he asked again for last payment which was 25959/-

    After that when i said i need to make one payment i thought this is not okay this is a lot i cannot take beyond this and i said ‘No’ I can’t he started saying it will good for job search and all and then i said no I don’t have money anymore so he said so all your amount which you paid will not be refunded since you didn’t buy the whole package and everything and then said trust me sir its just good for your profession growth and everything and I don’t know what i was thinking i made them the payment again of 34465/- and then they said again i need to payment which was 47627/- which was supposed to be last but then he started talking about my future job and I will be able to get 2lakh in a month easily and everything and then how this will help me to get a job in a week

    I have asked him multiple times this was not at all mentioned by the previous agent who called but he was repeatedly saying this is for my benefit. But I am 100% sure I have been part of Scam, I know they Jobs cannot be guaranteed.

    This Scam was done with me on March 4th afternoon while I was travelling to my office since I was not in Infront of my personal laptop I could not verify the details in google. But when he said process is completed transactions were done wort of 1, 41, 885

    The amount i paid is
    3197+5192+9556+15889+25959+34465+47627 = 1, 41, 885/-

    I am requesting you to please help me to get this refund from @shine.com since i don’t have money to pay all this debt.

    And many of their services i have not even used yet. Please do help

      I have taken below services from Shine.com on 9th December 2023:

      3. Job Profile Verification Plus Package of 9, 668.76/- Payment Reference: pay_NAC1maYI09faGQ
      4. Executive Level Resume Writing Services of 15, 980.36/- Payment Reference: pay_NACIAmR7bawj5e
      5. Jobs on the Move: 180 Days : 22, 816.10/- Payment Reference: pay_NADDONJKPLPS8M

      Total of 57, 049.32 (Fifty Thousand Forty Nine Rupees Thirty Two only)

      Complaint 1:
      They had recorded my phone call without informing me and without my consent.

      Complaint 2:
      They decline the commitment what their sales person had given, I have asked them to share audio recording of call, they are not sharing with me.

      Complaint 3:
      While buying service Shine.com they never disclosed that I have to pay so much amount, once I paid first amount, sales person asked me to pay another one saying, "We will not able to give you any service if you don't buy our all services." So I had no choice to buy these services.
      Believing Shine.com I did it, but now I am facing availing services from them.

      Complaint 4:
      As per commitment given by Shine.com, I haven't received any service yet. I have written many mails to Shine.com but there is no proper feedback.

      They tried pushing me to confirm that service is availed so they can close my case and they don't have to work on it.

      Also they decline the commitment what their sales person had given, I have asked them to share audio recording of call.

      So kindly help me to get full refund.

        I have realized after done the series of transaction and immediately i started requesting for not to activate, cancel the order and refund .

        an immediate attempt i have sent series of mail for not activate, I requested for refund though not getting response from their end instead they are trying to convince for availing the service, if customer is not willing to buy why the executives are forcing, Please refund my money do not answer there is no refund policy.

And do not says service is activated. shine.com people are giving false information. sending reminder mails for availing the service. i do not want any of your services.

        Team is processing, not even explained the what was the amount, and stated that if you are not paying you will loose the previous one because of that reason and forcing me to pay within half an hour you guys took the amount despite i do not want any of your service & requested for cancellation the this, there was no cancel button. Please stop all the communication from your end. I have no interest in your product then why do i need to listening to your explanation.

        On call itself without break the payment done within a minute after transaction i requested for cancellation. why do i need to pay huge amount the product .Intentionally the team is processing. I have already raised the complaint.

        Provided the order number and ID, i haven't used any of your services, after payment immediately contacted team & sent multiple mails for cancellation still not providing refund, I want to cancel services I paid, I didn't use the services till now and want my refund back. If you say you can't refund and there is no refund policy I will proceed legally and get my money back.

          My wife got a call from shine +[protected] ... Executive asked to pay 2500 rs to his account will arrange video interview etc etc, if not selected will refund ... My wife refused that so he used bad words and told don't apply for any jobs in shine with out pay ...talked very rashly

          Next day even I called same number and try to ask but he is very rude...

            The company executive called asking for Rs 3500 only and no money after that. Later they started asking me to pay 5000, 9000 and took totally 35000 and when they asked more I said no they said they cannot do much about this.
            They said they will charge only this amount Rs 3600 but later they took more and when I asked for a refund it seemed like a scam.

              on 20th Feb 2024 i received the call from Mr. Avinash Singh from shine .com, he ask to paid to Rs. 10/- for the interview generation id.

              So i haid paid the amount of Rs. 10/- but the debited Rs. 10000/- from my credit card. after that i call him he simply replied its tehicnical fault. you can get the refund. now i call him his mobile no is swited off. and cannt able to reach him

                I was sold services by shine.com representative Pankaj Sharma and Nitin with false and misleading information. Which was caught later during the welcome call that explained the true delivery of the service. During the call Nitin was pulled in and he was caught lying during the conversation. The whole product was sold to me for Rs.1, 47, 000/-. It was proven during the call that it was intentionally done. Especially Nitin who was imposting as a finance person, where in he accepted that he is a sales person. I have conversation recordings that proves it.

                Shine is non-transparent organization, on the name of investigation, they will make judgement that everything is normal, although they have the recordings which even in the court of law can prove them wrong. Best is lodge a complaint with cybercrime for job fraud, as i have done. I wonder how the CEO of Shine tolerates such bad repute with his employees duping people.

                  Ever increasing money demand for activation of profile booster services and denial if not made further payments

                  In the name of profile booster service I have been asked to pay the amount of more than 3.00 thousand. Started from there the demand kept on increasing. Still the marketing person Rohit was asking for more about to be paid and assuring the job within next 7-15 days.

                  On asking about confirmation about the same and request to have a word with senior person, he refused and forced to make the payment immediately without any further...

                  This is Chandrakanth I have got call from shine 15th Feb for job in abroad they have explained about there process and asked to pay for opening same day I have paid around 3047 rupees...then told our representative will call tell about next process...same time I have asked next any payments are there to pay further no information from them and I got call he just explained about their service asked to pay then he told some investment have to do for start our services you just see your mail and go forward in that mail 5200 profoma invoice I have paid and asked is anything else he told and sent one more mail 9400 that also paid...these payments no one told this is paid service and you have to pay this much amount and again finally I got one more mail I have to pay 17500 I don't have money that time...that representative asking me to barrow and do something to start process and he told this is the last payment have to pay...I have written lot of mails about this no one has replied and I got calls also you were not started service otherwise it will get start automatically I have paid 17500 today 19th Feb then again he killed me like something again he sent mail to pay 20000more...where I have to go...I told I'm unable now...there representative is telling no you have to pay...

                  These people are done lot of mistakes and now they are forcing me to pay... I'm unable to pay

                  Please do needful in this I have not activated any service... Please ask them to agree this has there mistake and do needful and arrange me refund Sir/Madam🙏

                    Hello sir/Mam,

                    28th Dec'23, I registered in shine by paid Rs- 3747.66 at 10:51Am[protected] by credit card. And your telecaller representative Mr. Vikram ensure me I will get job and one RM asign me and he will assured that I will get job..
                    [protected]time-08:48Pm) RM name Mr.Vikram from shine called me from mob number [[protected]] and he take all information about my career and he will ensure provide job to me and ask me to do final payment Rs-4833.01 so that he will ensure that i will get job within 07 to 10 days without any obligation and no further charge to pay from my side. I ask him so many time their is any other option apart from this he denied as I know Hindustan times media and his reputation I paid that amount. Within 2 second I get again mail for pay Rs-9557.
                    I asked him you said this (4833.01) is your last payment after you send me again this amount he said you have to pay this amount also otherwise we can not provide you service and you forgot all this Rs 8580.67 (3747.66 +4833.01).

                    I ask him for that if you can't provide service you return my payment. I called him again and again I asked him to transfer my call to his senior so I ask him. he denied.

                    This situation alert me that their is so many hidden charges here after one payment you ask me again for more high payment. If I paid again it's going on or if I denied I can not get money.
                    1st pay payment-3747.66
                    2nd payment is more high-4833.01
                    And again ask third payment-9557 this is again more high from 2nd one.
                    And what will be forth, fifth and many more payment i don't know..

                      Cancel my order and refund my money

                      Hi Team,

                      I have taken Application Highlighter and Resume Booster two services yesterday by paying 3292 rs from Shine.com, today I got a call from relationship manager but I am not aware that I need to pay money for different services like employment verification and education verification and ATS resume building. Over a call the relation ship manager is asking to pay for all these in order to go ahead with my profile.

                        Dear sir/madam.

                        This is to bring to your notice the fraudulent practices in the Shine.com. I have been scammed by offering unwarranted services and duped of my hard-earned money.

                        My name is Kundan Kaushav. I received a call on 10 February 2024 from Shine.com representative. He explained to me about the paid services of Shine.com. For this service, he told me that I would have to pay a nominal price of Rs.3292. After much deliberation, and on his insistence that a dedicated relationship manager will be assigned to me who will work closely with me, I paid the money. He categorically said that this is a one-time fee to shine. Once I pay for this, my services will start. He never mentioned that there would be further charges. So, I paid Rs.3292. He asked me to share my updated resume which I did. After this, he assigned me a relationship manager named Mr. Suraj. This was just the beginning of my ordeal and mental harassment.

                        On the same day (10 February 2024), I received a call from Mr. Suraj, my relationship manager. He initially asked me about my experience and then started showing me rosy pictures. He said that his track record is superb and that my CV has the potential to get great jobs with a salary range of 70 to 80 lakhs per annum. After the initial conversation, he told me that my CV and highest marksheet would be verified. Once I said okay, he sent me an email asking me to pay Rs 5192. I reluctantly paid. The moment I was doing the payment, I received another payment link asking me to pay Rs 9556. I was taken aback. I started questioning this method. He said this was for verification purposes. After much resistance, I paid both these amounts. I again asked him if this is the final payment. He insisted that this is the final payment. However, he again started talking about receiving job links on my WhatsApp number. He asked me to write a mail in this regard and also to give my WhatsApp number. I did so. Once I did that I again received a payment link of Rs.16, 518. At this point, I became suspicious and said to Mr. Suraj that this was wrong. This is a trap being led for me to pay more. This is some sort of extraction. All these made no difference to Mr. Suraj and he kept on harping that all these services were great.

                        However, I insisted on canceling my service. Immediately, Mr. Shiva intervened and introduced himself as the manager of Mr. Suraj. He said that he had been listening to all the conversations. He said if I have trouble paying the money, then I can opt for EMI options. He kept on saying that without this service, my other services were meaningless. He assigned me a new relationship manager Mr. Rohit. Mr. Rohit was even more insistent on paying the money. After having paid so much money, I had no option but to pay three more payments in EMI: Rs. 16518, Rs.24, 779, and Rs. 33863. But this didn't end there. I again got another payment link of Rs 43068. I was completely devastated. I knew I had been trapped and scammed. I asked to stop my services. I wrote a mail to them in this regard. However, Mr. Rohit refused to listen to me. He transferred the call to Mr. Bansal. Mr. Bansal sounded like Suraj. I pointed this but he changed his voice and continued to argue with me. I asked him to stop my services. I told him I had already written the mail for my refund. Mr. Bansal categorically told me that the money won't be refunded.

                        I received an email from [protected]@shine.com informing me that my services have been initiated. However, all the screenshots of the services were of Mr. Ritesh. All these indicate that an elaborate scam is being run by Shine.com. I replied to the mail that my services have to be stopped. I received a reply that Shine doesn't refund. I replied that if my services are not stopped and that I don't get my refund, I will have no option but to take legal recourse.

                        I will bring to your notice the following categories of scams committed against me.

                        1. False promises: Shine lures job seekers by making false promises. Everyone needs a good job with a better salary and better prospects. Shine plays on that emotion.

                        2. Financial fraud: Shine doesn't say upfront the total cost of their services. They keep on sending one payment link after another. Once I have paid a certain amount, I am forced to pay a bigger payment. Each subsequent payment is of higher money. For example, the first payment is of approximately of Rs 3000, which subsequently increases to 5K, 9K, 16K, 24K, 33K, 43K...

                        3. Fake bills: Once I asked them to stop my services, they sent me fake bills.

                        4. Mental harassment: I was subjected to extreme mental harassment for almost 3 hours.

                        I will request you to stop my services and kindly refund my money.

                        I have attached all the emails for your reference.

                          My name is Kundan Kaushav. I received a call on 10 February 2024 from Shine.com representative on wherein he explained me about Paid services of shine.com with Nominal price of Rs.3292.
                          After much deliberation, and his insistence on how great shine is and that a dedicated relationship manager will be assigned who will closely work with me to help me to get new job. He also said that this is onetime fee to shine. After this my services will start. He never mentioned that there would be further charges. So, I paid this Rs.3292. He said they will assign a Relationship Manager and he will call me to get more information about my Job requirement and will help me to find job accordingly as per my preference soon.
                          On same day, "Suraj Singh" (Relationship Manager) called me and initially he asked me about my Job preference and post 20 minutes discussion, he told me in order to avail good Job, i would have to get 2 services(2nd & 3rd payment mentioned below) of Rs.5192/- & Rs. 9556/- and i would get service from excellent shine.com for lifetime. He first offered me one service and then another without letting me think. So, with hesitance, I paid next 2 payments as he said this is last payment and they will ask for no further payment. However, he again said I would have to avail another service by paying Rs.16, 518. I became suspicious and said that something is wrong. He started telling me how these services were great. But I insisted on cancelling my service. At this point Mr Shiva intervened and told me that if I have problem then it can opt for emi facility. He started saying that this service is must to get good job. Without this other 3 bought services would have no meaning and will get "forfeit". He also assigned a new Relationship Manager Mr Rohit. So, reluctantly and in compulsion, I made two payments in emi, one of Rs 16518 and another service for Rs.24, 779. I was completely devastated when they again asked me to pay another Rs 40000 to which I denied and asked them to stop my services. I understood that something is fishy here. I wrote them a mail asking to stop my services and refund my money.
                          At this point, the conversation was taken over by some Mr Bansal who claimed to be a manager. I clearly mentioned that I have been scammed and that my services should be stopped with immediate effect. But he categorically said that we will not make any refund.

                          Below are payment i made to shine.com:-
                          First payment (Paid) -- Rs.3292/- (Product :- Education Verification Plus Package)
                          Second payment (Paid) -- Rs.5192/- (Product :- Job Profile Verification Plus Package)
                          Third payment (Paid) -- Rs.9556 /- (Product :- Senior Level Resume Writing Service & Professional Summary)
                          Fourth payment (Paid in emi)-- Rs.16, 518/- (Product :- Jobs on the Move: 180 Days)
                          Fifth payment (Paid in emi)-- Rs.24, 779/- (Product :-Jobs on the Move: 180 Days)

                            On 7th Feb 2024 I got a call from one Miss Richa from shine.com around 5pm from the number[protected]. She said they were offering services for job hunting in overseas market for senior roles. I was not very impressed the way she spoke. Then she gave to her colleague Miss Anu who spoke very professionally. She told me that it costs 10, 000. I said I am not interested and had already purchased some other service from other vendor in the morning. She said she would give it at half price. I asked her to send the details. That initial mail is attached as evidence also. I bought the service. Then she said a relationship manager would call next day. Next around 11am one Mr. R.K.Sahu called from[protected]. He was very knowledgeable and told the dynamics of overseas market and asked my requirements. After that he convinced me that there are certain tests which are internationally recognised and that has to be taken. He sent a payment link and I paid. Then he said the resumes have to present to each country differently and experts would write my resume and asked me to buy that service. Like this he made me buy 5 services apart from previous day’s service, all totally Rs. 46832. It did not stop then, he still said there is one last service I had to buy and I lost my faith.
                            They get initial financial commitment and then they say I have to complete some more steps before they can get started. They never reveal the complete set of services in the first go. Their excuse is the services depends on the profile. For this I was arguing do an assessment for the profile and give him full picture. If I asked for refund they said it is not there in their policy. I have asked them not to activate any of my services in the morning today stating I have to go through everything once. I have taken the screenshot of the services at the time of writing, with system date time shown at top right corner. Yesterday I was tricked into buying the services and till now I have not activated any of them. I am raising the complaint today itself.
                            I also checked for reviews and found many complaining about Mr. R.K. Sahu and how they are cheating customers by not revealing complete information.
