I visited Sony Authorized Service Centre dated 09/06/2016 for my laptop repairment. Actually, the display was not working and had gone blank. Before visiting service center, I myself checked if it was a display problem or motherboard.I checked it with another display and it was working fine which means only display change was required.One of the other problems was that one of the hinges was broken which needed simple repair but they told the whole flip part will be changed although nothing was wrong in that except for only one hinge. Then they kept the laptop for the whole day and they told me that the whole motherboard will be replaced although there was nothing wrong in it. And when I told the person who opened the laptop in the service center that there is a display problem, I checked it then he told display is alright, the motherboard will be replaced and told me the overall cost of around Rs[protected]. I took my laptop and went home.When tried to on it, it was heating a lot. Also, one of the plastic hinge support was missing and when I visited again the service center to get back that broken plastic support part, they told they don't have any. I shut down and visited another local laptop repair who opened it and detected short-circuiting in the motherboard .He took 2500 for motherboard repair and 3500 for screen replacement and my laptop is working well now. As evident that the motherboard problem occurred only after I had visited sony service center and they must had done something wrong in motherboard so as to show motherboard replacement and earn large money.Moreover for a simple hinge problem they asked to replace whole flip cover.The most evident thing is that I was told there is no problem with display and I was damn sure that it had only display problem which I checked myself and local repair store.The details for sony service of my laptop are :

I must demand proper look into the matter and take action against the person who opened my laptop in sony service center and his falseness, against the sony service center, Muzaffarpur for misleading information and damaging my product. I demand proper and quick redressal of my complaint and compensation for my loss.

      I had purchased a sony 4k tv model no. kd-55x9004a from kohinoor, dadar in may 2014 paying rs 2.3 lacs and after installation i had made various complaint regarding the display of the set being abnormal. however, during the warranty period the sony technicians did not do anything about the same dispersing the case by saying that this kind of display was normal in sony.
      Shockingly, sony's technician visited my place today (job no j[protected] as i had a made a complaint for display again. i was told that the panel needs to be replaced. this is shocking as they have now found a fault in the display after the warranty period is over and the set is barely two years old, it seems that i was given a defective set and my complaint was dispersed without any resolution during installation and now i am being asked to pay for a new panel for which i have been quoted rs.1, 30, 000.00 which is totally unfair.
      This shows the poor service rendered by sony and also the sub standard quality of their products. at this juncture, i would also like to mention that i have even purchased 55" samsung sets in the past and till today there has never been a service or product issue in the same.

              I am having sony experia z1. the phone was having battery backup problem, i submitted the phone to sony experia service centre, panchkula, ultimate services on 03.06.2016. they told it will take 15 days. after 3 days they informed the estimate as rs. 4800. but after 15 days they told wait for three more days. they kept these three days extended up to 06.07.2016. when i went to collect my phone, i was handed over a bill of rs. 5800/. i told i was told rs. 4800 but the boy was not ready to listen. i had to pay the rs. 5800. during all this process the boy sitting at the counter was sarcastic, arrogant and a person completely of abusing nature. i not only felt cheated at the sony service centre but humiliated too. i have decided never to purchase a sony product in future. sony service centres are having very poor service quality. earlier also they damaged my music system. the behaviour of sony service centre as well as helpline is totally uncalled for. i feel purchasing a sony product is the worst decision of my life.

                I have purchased the product on 4th july 2016. the seller had registered on 5th july 2016 and i got the sms by confirming the same. i came to know that maximum of 48hrs it should get installed. however i have been calling the sony customer care from 6th july (2times) and 7th july (4 times) and now they are saying that your mobile is not registered (we don't see any request associated to it) and they raised the new request on 7th july (at this time they said that we are escalating). on the latest call the customer care executive is saying that due to some technical problem it might have happen. we will make sure that it will get installed by with in 2 days again. the interesting part of this is whatever the request id i had received on 5th july they have used the same request id which was raised on 7th july. with all these things i am not sure it is going to happen. my only point is that it should not happen for others. please help me on it.

                  This is prabakar @ iyyappan from pondicherry, i would like to inform you that i have dissatisfied with our sony service first time, since i have given my mobile for service to pondy center for few small complaints (charging connecter problem and volume key issue) on 14th june'16 as they confirmed that which will be cleared within 15days but i got msg from our team on 20th june'16 that my mobile is ready for collection, today i step into our center i got my mobile and the technician who handover my mobile has informed that my mobile problem was completely cleared and i can checked out but the volume key issue was not resolved yet so i have requested him to check the problem, after he checked somewhere and confirmed that my mobile was services by some other out side vendor so the problem which i mentioned is not possible to clear within warranty, also he shown some image for my reference but i climes that which is not possible, since i have proper bill with warranty and insurance too, then there is no point in doing service in out side vendor. pls feel as a customer... purchase of mobile rs 45000 is not a easy matter. so please don't hesitate my concern, since i have good respect on sony team and i was long time customer too.. till now i did not face any issue with sony, since i bought more product in sony so please resolve my mobile problems as soon as possible.

                        This TV is just 3 years old. Giving me a quote of over 14000 Rs., for setting the picture free from horizontal lines appearing on top 6", is highly regrettable. We are old, and use the TV very less. This is not at all expected from a reputed company, known for good service to customers .
                        I expect you to repair the set at a nominal cost within 3 days.
                        I do not want to take the matter to a public forum through letter to editor etc.

                            Hello sir

                            My sony vaio has hinge problem. The back cover and front gazelle, hinges were damaged. So i went to sony service centre in vijayawada. My laptop is working fine. Only problem is back cover replacement. They replaced the back cover. But from then onwards my screen is getting green shade dots. I went again. They are saying motherboard was damaged. How can it be damaged within 4 years???? Thats not possible.. It worked fine before the repair. But not working now. Im sure they have changed my mother board. I was in frustration. Im in thought of buying xperia Series smart phone. With this incident, i want to withdraw my plans. Please do something.they even didnt gave me the bill.

                              Just want to highlight the quality issue with sony mobile phones and followed by extremely poor after sales service during warranty period.

                              1. Have bought the sony xperia c4 mobile in the month of nov. 2015 and within 4-5 months of time, it’s sim slot have stopped working.
                              2. After checking the handset, sony service center “krishna services, dwarka, new delhi” told that issue is with pcb and need replacement,
                              3. They told that they will repair the handset within “3” days, however they resolved the issue after n no. Of calls / follow-ups after 8 days on 28th may 2016
                              4. After that handset has started giving the problem with touchpad, sometime touchpad works properly and sometime not
                              5. On 5 or 6th june 16, i again visited sony service center “krishna services, dwarka” and told that after replacing the pcb / mb, am facing issue with touchpad. That time they told me that there is issue with your temper glass and pls. Replace it. Then and there only, they have replaced the tempered glass on chargeable basis.
                              6. Point here is that day, they have not registered any complaint for the same in system
                              7. Yesterday suddenly, touchpad has completely stopped working and due to this today i again visited center “krishna services, dwarka” and surprisingly within 5 min. Of time engg. Who worked earlier on handset, has opened the handset and told that this issue is due to water problem. How it could be possible?? Seems engineer was already aware about it, that issue with pcb / mb
                              8. After that he told that this will falls under chargeable call and cost around inr 7500.

                              My handset is under warranty and it’s not working perfectly after 4-5 month of purchase. Pls. Help to resolve the issue on priority under warranty coverage, as there is no customer fault.

I purchased a sony 32"led tv from doordarshan, main road, rourkela - 769001. On 20th february 2016. During purchasing, i didn't check whether internet connectivity is working or not.

                                On 23rd june 2016, i want to play youtube video on led tv. Then i tried so many times, but connectivity fails. Then i called to customer support, he told me some procedure, but we are unable to play video on sony led tv. After 45 min, customer executive said to me that don't worry sir. I am writing a complaint regarding this problem. The technician will visit at your address within two days. Your complaint/ reference number is 33022034.

                                After three days a technician came to my address. Mr. Barik (Technician) tried nearly 2 hours, but he was also unable to play video on sony led tv. Refresh internet option takes so much time after that an error occur. Kindly retry. Finally, he said some manufacturing defect is on your tv. Some wi-fi card will change. After that, he tried from lan, but the problem continued.

                                I purchased this tv after paying 36000 rs. This tv is in manufacturing defect. I think that sony is one brand on which all people can believe blindly. But i was wrong. Today, again i called to the customer support they provide me new complaint/reference number is [protected]. From 15 days the problem is as usual. I am not ready for repair work. I want replacement only.

                                Now i request sony they replace my sony 32" led tv with new one led tv. I hope you will take action as soon as possible.

                                  I bought xperia c4 dual in march 2016
                                  Due to display issues, & camera app not responding issue i have given my phone to service center on 29th june 2016.
                                  They said that repair will be done in 4 days.
                                  When i contacted them on 4th july 2016. They were clueless about the status of phone & not able to say exactly when they are going to deliver my handset.

                                    Attaching entire email which been initiated with the brand.

                                    Dear Team @ Sony,

                                    Firstly thanks for showing an interest on responding over an email with delay of 14 days, The handset having a recurrence issue’s from the day one hence do check the earlier records regarding how many time it had been serviced.

                                    On dated 6 May 2016 the handset got repaired & returned to us & next day ( Saturday ) late night it got accidentally dropped down in to water bucket where the water got entered in it through camera & edges ( Being handset not properly closed\fixed by the engineer in last repair attempt ) where as have called next day ( Sunday ) to the sony online technical support being product is having a feature of water proof \ dust resistant under sony terms conditions “ Covers must be shut. Only in fresh water up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes “ henceforth have referred by the online team to visit the service center.

                                    So post visiting the service center they have declared just in first look without arranging water resistivity test that there is customer intention being water entered even at the same time have requested to the service center team about to recheck it with again dropping it in to water but they had denied to do it Also it’s camera have a little bit loose also same instructed to the service center.

                                    Finally Sony has claimed that the customer has done it intentionally undergone the call will be attended on chargeable basis which won’t be acceptable at all. Post repairing the handset this new issue got occurred which meant under sony terms & conditions it’s a water proof & dust resistant handset.

                                    In case of you fail to look in to matter as soon as possible I would be forced to

                                    1. Ask my lawyer to file a consumer complaint against you for gross negligence, and deficient service, as well additional compensation for mental agony and legal costs.

                                    2. Ask my lawyers to consider the filling of a civil suit against your company.

                                    3. Start a sustained online campaign spreading the word about the appalling level of service that I have received from you.

                                    4. Issue press release online and in the print media.


                                    I hope that I don’t have to take these steps and look forward to an amicable resolution of the issue.

                                      Hi Team,

                                      I am very sorry to say that with such bigh brand and reputed organisation i am facing lot of issue wih my sony led tv.The tv was just 4 years old and with in this last 4years i already had various problems with "Main Board".Suddenly the tv showing black screen.so i raised a complain the sony engineer visited my home and suggested to replace the mother board of the tv it costs already Rs.9000/-.Again now within 1 year the the lines are coming in the screen .I have raised a call .The sony Engineer visited my home and he suggested that there is an issue with the display panel which will cost approx Rs. 13000/- .Could you please suggest or help us in resolving the issue as good brand name we never expect such failure in product or please replace with a new peice as i though my piece was may be having the manufactering defect which may result in such failure.I will waiting to hear from you a positive reply.

                                        Sony service centre in Ujjain(MP) has the worst service. They dont have any technical knowledge. Whenever i ask for some doubt they start calling random people from the office and none of them was able to answer my query. Moreover the time they take for servicing is just too much. And they never answer the phone and then they always keep postponing the date for picking up the mobile. Seriously the service centre is for providing service not to just sit around chitchatting and doing nothing. And then they expect me to pay the service charge. Moreover now my mobile is even more damaged than before. You suck Sony. You are loosing customers due to horrible service at the centers.
