1-It is BEING CONVEYED TO YOU with great concern that in last two purchases of STAR ATTA, ( last one -BATCH NUMBER B 1808, previous purchase batch number could not be recorded, as it was first chance and we DID not take it seriously, how ever if you wish it can be located from the records of my STAR BAZAAR Club card number SBS[protected] AND SBS[protected], OR MOBILE NUMBER [protected])N), We have found" white keera" and fungas
The same details are discussed with your representative MR RAJIV PANDEY, [protected], and MR SAMSON ON 14 TH SUNDAY, IN THE STAR BAZAAR IT SELF,
IT IS WITH THEIR ASSURANCE AND REQUEST I HAVE TAKEN ANOTHER CHANCE TO PURCHASE YOUR ATTA, AGAIN,

Kindly let me know ,steps being taken by your organization to ensure that such activity is not repeated in future,and we ,as a customer shall not be forced to take some other remedial action .

    I had purchased a product, Eastern resam powder, on 03/06/12,

    After reaching home I realized that the product expiry date was 10/05/12. I was shocked how star bazaar can sell such products that are not even approved as per market standards [EXPIRED PRODUCTS].
    Not only that, my second concern was over charging products above the cost mentioned on the packets mentioned.
    I approached star bazaar manager Mr. Prakash today evening, and highlighted my concern. He was extremely nice and very polite in addressing my concerns. Also he offered a follow up on this matter as it’s of very critical situation. Apart from that he also offered call back after checking with the management what best he could do as compensation.
    For the products that were incorrectly charged, I got refund of the products price and my travelling cost from my house to star bazaar and vice versa.
    He also offered a cake as compensation for the expired product being kept and sold.

    But I am not happy with the outcome.
    I wanted to take this further as this is not the first time I have complained. Few months back, I got an expired Rasna powder packet, and since last 6 months I am getting at least 4 products over charged each month.
    Last time I considered this as human error and got the product replaced with the new product. It was Danny/ store manager that time who had addressed my concerns. He also compensated me with Rs. 200. But my concern was to curb such practices by any organization that promises customers best products in the market.

    is this going to sort. I purchased Idli batter without checking the date. the batter was dated 21st March and i had purchased it on 23rd/ ridiculous service star bazaar . I had asked the person who was preparing the batter and he said its fresh my mistake i did not check the date. we have many things to buy and not much aware of the dates. hopeless star bazaar the batter was stinking, when i checked it after reaching home. very bad and hopeless . stop cheating people

      I often Purchase from star Bazaar but out of my 5 purchase with star bazaar i found in 3 of my bill amount charged is more then total of products and one time they deducted 500 Rs extra from my Debit card.

      And staff and Store Manager Mr varun is also not ready to solve my problem.

      They also sell expired damaged good to customer and yes also sell products at more then MRP.

      I request not to purchase from Star Bazaar Surat

          The food at Star Bazaar at Koramangla sucks big time...i was a regular customer at Star Bazaar....i have stopped eating food at Star Bazaar as they serve stale food...i was hospitalized twice due to the same....and had to stop eating from such a lousy place....

          i have complained that the food is spoiled and have seen them serving the same food to other even when notified.....its insane.....
          ******The customer service is worst*****

          at the food counter no one would be available to take the payment for two coupons or payment stickers they provide....the next counter that's for bakery doesn't accept the payment saying that he does not take payments for the food counter.....when the manager is informed he takes no action....which is a general practice there....i at last had to throw the sticker and leave the place as i couldn't stand in a queue of 20 people for two 100 Rs/- sticker payments as i work and was running short of time as i was on a scheduled break at work...

          moreover....it has been observed that the goods with the sticker after during discounts are calculated incorrectly...their systems doesn't detect the new price but the old one....too many discrepancies....

          if i have something good to say..then its for the little boy at the food/bakers counter...a kid aged somewhere around 15 years i suppose who never supplies stale food if he is at the counter and if the food is stale he would mention it is stale....Hats off to u kid! Wish u all the very best in life i[censored] still are there...i wished all the other need to learn from him to provide a better service!!! God bless!

            My wife received a SMS from STAR BAZAR regarding a promo which mentioned Rs.100/- discount on purchases made for Rs. 1000/- and above.
            We made purchases of Rs.2780/- + .
            Sequence of events:
            1. There is a Green Line in the store before the counters and it reads if any one is standing beyond the green line a new till would be opened. We were standing in the queue for 45 minutes and no one was bothered about the hapless customer queues almost on all the tills. We spoke to a few of the staff - but no-one was bothered.
            2. We finally managed to get our billing done and there was NO DISCOUNT on the Bill. The person in the counter was ill mannered and when I asked he simply refused to answer. The printer too in the meanwhile did not print - almost 5 people tried (trial and error ) to get it working. I had to wait another 10 minutes after the billing to get the Bill printed out.
            3. We went to the Customer service counter and raised the issue of the discount with them. One of the attendants there tried to explain to us that it is not given on FOOD items > ten minutes later he said exactly the opposite (probably was trying to ward us off with a silly excuse). I lodged a complaint in the register and asked to see a senior. A Lady (Green T Shirt) appeared. She initially trued to ward us off citing policies and was reluctant in even answering why the discount was not given. She went out and then came back again and offered us Rs. 100 (cash) which she said she is giving from her own Pocket -- { I WAS AMAZED AT THE AUDACITY OF THIS WOMAN TO OFFER US A BRIBE LIKE THIS TO KEEP QUIET} . This very clearly indicated that all were "HAND IN GLOVE" at the store and we were being asked to hush up with Rs. 100 cash.
            We refused to accept the same.
            4. After this incident, I went to see the Head of the store and explained the whole incident to him and also spoke to him in front of the LADY supervisor and mentioned about her audacity to offer us a Rs. 100/- BRIBE. He has said he will look into the matter.

            I also happened to see the register - which was full of CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS - I am absolutely sure that the store is being run unethically or some people are out there to make a fast buck. - Needs investigation by higher authorities.


            I also wish to mention that I find the staff at TATA STAR BAZAR the most ill mannered and un-trained compared to all their other competitors. It is evident the moment you enter the store when you see these people standing and gossiping// cutting across the customers path without and "excuse me" - arrogant body language.

              i have been shoping @ star bazaar, adugodi, koramangala store & do even have a mclub card (sbs[protected] & have been having error in the billing almost every time & this time this was real hieght of error, as the items charged in bill are more than the MRP listed on the product.



              i have shoped on 19/12/2011 at 10:05 pm at cash till no: 7, cashier : parass (id) & shift code is :2 & cash memo no : slf01s[protected]. The mcvdigestive biscuits are listed at an offer printed on the pack itself as Rs.17.00, where as i ahve been charged @ Rs. 20.00 for the same.The kvg dutta red had a sticker with mrp Rs.35.00, during the billing realised the item to be damaged & hence the cashier got it exchanged with other item, where as the same is billed @ Rs. 58.50. The pri vada mix had an mrp of Rs.18.50, where as been charged as Rs.19.00 each.



              I suggest rather than listing as " you saved Rs......, it should be listed as YOU LOST Rs...... by shopping at star bazaar".......... On what basis are charges more than the mrp listed.



              Added to this during my visit i had been haunted by the Tata card executives to take a credit card & had no go, than to apply for it (in order to escape from them & enjoy my shopping experience there is no other go left). They have informed me that the card is life time free & no hidden charges & on shopping in any Tata enterprises would get 5% additional discount. But right in the 1st statement was charged Rs.387 for credit card activation & CPP charged Rs.1450.00 for some coverage on card & added to this was even denied 5% discount on shopping at Star bazaar.

                  on purchase of Lifebuoy liquid soap refill pack of MRP 32.00 where the manufacturer itself announced a discount of Rs 6.00 and crossed the price print of Rs 32.00 and printed it as Rs 26.00 as MRP, it was charged Rs 32.00 and a Packet of Black pepper marketed by Star Bazaar Itself is Priced Rs 30.00 but its charged Rs 42.00 for me

                    STAR BAZAR is a tata enterprise and I m also from TATA group company Tata Motors so when this store was opened in pune I was thirlled.
                    But thrill was in vain
                    we are buying all our daily products from Star Bazar, Chinchwad Pune since it is opened.Last 9-10 purchases we checked our bill luckily and noticed that there is wrong pricing. Product shows one price and on bill it is doubled. that means DATA ENTRY is wrong. and because of that we are paying more than what we are supposed to pay.we are at loss.Most people come here to buy multiple items. For items that come with a discount in the price or offers, they charge you the full amount at billing counter(offer is only at display not in bill to cheat people). Free items that come with products are almost never given unless you ask for it. This means wasting about 10-30 minutes of almost 7-8 other people waiting in the queue for billing. I find this very annoying as these can be found out only after billing. Then you have to wait for a rude person to explain it to,he will ask u many no. of question and make you frustrate and then get things done,
                    I observed These people always say system is not updated for the offer/offer in system vanishes out of system in 12 hrs(they give this explaintation without any guilt and as if customer is uneducated and fool asking quires) , u should not keep items at display unless u put the said offer in system.
                    I have decided to write this complain because I found expired jeera khari in star bazar, atleast food items should not be proper,dont kill custmoer with expired food products.
                    These grocery bills are very big so we never check or tally.But everytime how we are going to check those bills? Please look into this matter solve it as early as possible.and tell us what step should we take? i have those wrong pricing bills with me.Many people must have not noticed this.

                      Have a compliant reg the Store Manager(Raj Duggal) Star Bazaar Phoniex Pune.
                      He has not given a single week off to his Managers since 2 mths when asked week off by the employee he refuses to give, he himself is there in store for 3 to 4 hrs he is running his own private business and spends most of the time there the Managers are totally frustrated and tired working continuously for two mths is this what Tata commits to its employees the employees are suffering someone plz help.

                      I don't know who has wrote about Mr Raj Karansingh Duggal. What this has been wrote not true as we have worked with him for 1 year he has never ever did with us. I agree he cancel the week off o[censored]s when your work is not completed on time, but he is a very nice manager. & who are we to say that he is working for 3 to 4 hours. Even we know that he work for 3 to 4 hours but he gives his 100% to the store as he worked for thane store akurdi store. He is the man because of him the store started performing without him it could not be possible that's why the company has given him the new store responsibilty every time. He is the leader for 3 store of star bazaar. What I know him personally that he don't have any type of business till yet now. I want ask one question that's tell me frankly how much time had you given to store in your 9 hours shift I know you don't have answer because you all know to look to girls on floor all the time & go for a tea break 4 to 5 times. So please don't try to spoil any budy name think for day when you would be on his position what you will fill on that time. So please don't

                        I had visited Star Bazar Kalasagar, Ahmedabad on today 20.09.2011, I had purchased Sweet Corn from Market. They have given cataloge on today and it mention price of Sweet corn Rs.16 per Kg and invoice is prepared at Rs. 22 per Kg.

                        It seems that STAR BAZAR is CHEATING the customers. So please be careful while puchase from STAR BAZAR.

                          Dear Sir/ Madam,
                          we are regular customers at Star Bazar located on Hosur Main Road, Koramangala, Bangalore.
                          I bought chicken breast meat yesterday[protected] and found it very foul smelling. I stored it in the deep freezer compartment immediately wrapped 3 to 4 times. Today[protected] I went in the afternoon to return. The manager was kind to exchange or get my money refunded. I wanted to exchange. After exchange and while washing and cooking at home, there was foul smell again, but the manager assured that it was fresh chicken produce.

                          Please look into this matter, as a single piece of spoil meat can contaminate the entire batch of meet stored in cooler or freezer compartment. It is a big store and I have earlier complained to the staff that the meat and chicken counters are very bad smell.

                          Strict sanitary conditions and inspections need to be maintained as it could inflict food born illness to all the residents of Koramangala.

                          I strongly advice that immediate action, of collecting swabs, for microbial testing be done(to check for significant pathogenic bacterial count), and if the meat counter has to be closed for disinfection and changing the entire stock.

                            we are buying all our daily products from Star Bazar, at Crystal Point,New Link Road,Andheri west since it is opened, approx.for last 2 years.Last two purchases we checked our bill luckily and noticed that there is wrong pricing. Product shows one price and on bill it is doubled. that means DATA ENTRY is wrong. and because of that we are paying more than what we are supposed to pay.we are at loss.These grocery bills are very big so we never check or tally.I went to star bazar, i told them about this put a coplaint in writing, they return my money. But everytime how we are going to check those bills? Please look into this matter solve it as early as possible.and tell us what step should we take? i have those wrong pricing bills with me.Many people must have not noticed this.

                              Dear Sir
                              On 03rd July 2011,, I made purchasing worth Rs.5182 from your Star bazaar located at Imperial Square Mall, Opp. Alishan Enclave SURAT.having Cash Memo No. SLF[protected] at 19.30-20.00 PM. I pay Rs. 3600as Sodexho Coupons and remaining Rs.1582 as through SBI VISA CREDIT CARD. But later I observed there was two transaction from my credit card one for Rs. 1582 and another for Rs. 441.20 The second transaction was (Rs.441.20) is wrong. Its totally the breach of trust.I wrote to star Bazaar a lot of time ,but till today i have not got any response from them.Pl do the needful at the earliest

                                I visited the Star Bazaar outlet for the first time in Thane.After reaching home I realised that for 1.8 kgs of onions they have charged Rs68/- and have marked it as violet round brinjals.I tried to call the customer-care or the phone no but in vain.Their contact no. [protected] also does not work! It is not possible to visit the mall as we stay in Mulund and we need to pay toll.

                                  WE ARE THE REGULAR CUSTOMER OF STAR INDIA BAZAR.BEFORE FEW YRS I FILLED A FORM OF STAR BAZAR CARD WHICH WAS TERMED FREE OF COST. AFTER THAT I FORGOT THE MATTER. TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE CARD BUT BEFORE ONE MONTH I RECEIVED A STATEMENT
                                  REGARDING ANNUAL FEE.
                                  I CONTACTED CUSTOMER CARE OF HSBC AND EXPLAINE THAT I HAVE NOR RECEIVED ANY CARD ,NIETHER USED ANY CARD.

                                  EVENTHOUGH FRON 15TH OF THE APRIL I AM RECEIVING ALMOST 15 CALLS /DAY FOR THE RECOVERY OF FEES DURING THE DAY AT MY HOME AS WELL AS OFFICE PHONES.THEY INSIST THAT I NEED TO PAY ANNUAL FEE OTHERWISE WE WILL DO MENTAL HARRASEMENT .

                                  I REPEATEDLY COMPLAINT AT CUSTOMER CARE AND AT RECOVERY DEPT.

                                  SHOULD I GO FOR POLICE COMPLAINT/LEGAL COMPLAINT FOR MENTAL HARRASEMENT.???

                                    After seeing the multiple complaints on wrong billing, I would like to add my experience here as well. Looks like someone is just trying to make a quick buck with wrong billing practices. In the first instance, we had picked up a 400 mL Dove Shampoo. I just happened to have seen the amount at the aisle. I was surprised to see the actual billed amount to be higher than the MRP (by Rs. 13) printed on the product itself! And this is only for something I saw. God knows what happened on the items I didn't see.

                                    In the second instance, I had picked up a Twinings 1+1 offer on Tea bags. On our way back from the store, my wife realized that they had charged for both the packs.

                                    I purchased 10kg wheat flour of star brand at star bazar andheri when i started using it this was a mixed flour and not 100% wheat flour.                                       A had a really bad experiance with the staff in Dahisar Star Bazar, It is a tata enterprise, still the staff suck's....

                                      The staff was really un proffessional, I would it is the worst place to shop, I will pass this message to my freinds and family please you too spead the message,

                                      The are to the right people to shop with, Such please avoid the shopping with them.

                                      They have 0 clien servicing knowledge, star bazaar only knows to suck people money if they are in any problem they will not responce to our status.

                                      I am a reall man saying all the above comment.

                                        I bought a Washing Machine from Star Bazar at Koramangala, Bangalore around 2.5 yrs back. The WM has 2 Yrs IFB company's warranty. In addition to that I had purchased the extended warranty for 2 yrs from Star Bazar for the same. Recently when my Washing Machine was not working due to the display complaint, I reported the issue to Star Bazar, Koramangala staff since it in the extended warrant period. They asked me to call the customer care centre for lodging the complaint. I tried many times but nobody picked up the phone. Later I sent an email to their customer complaint centre and got a reply that their service engineer would contact me soon. But I did not get any call from them after that. Even I tried again to reach their customer centre but in vain, nobody was picking the phone.
