Pathetic customer care support form swiggy
Hi, i had placed an order for chilli chicken with swiggy on the 29th july 2019 at 8.04 pm, the order number is [protected]. The cost of the order was 198 and the same was paid through google pay.
I received a call from an delivery agent at 8.16 to say that the order was getting delayed, and asked me if i can cancel the order for which i clearly informed him that i shall wait and he promised to have it delivered. After a couple of mins i saw that the order was reassigned to another agent, then again after a couple of mins it was reassigned to another, this kept on happening for some time until the order was reassigned to about 5 agents. I then contacted the customer care team via chat to check on the status; they informed that the order was facing some issues and that they will check and have the same delivered asap.
I waited for more than an hour and then i checked with the support team again, they kept on giving me the same promise that the order will be delivered asap.
After about 30 mins i got a call from a delivery agent to check if the order was received and he informed me that the order has been picked up by the 1st agent long back.
I then contacted the customer care and spoke to an agent named ganesh, he told me that he has tried to contact the restaurant and was not able to, so he then asked me to cancel and reorder, i refused as i had already made the payment and secondly i had already waited for more that 2 hrs.
He then promised me to contact the delivery agent and make a payment form swiggy's end and have the order delivered. After a couple of mins i again got a call from a delivery agent to say that swiggy has asked him to make a payment of 173 rs and get the order but the restaurant is charging him 210 rs so he is not ready to pay.
I again had to call customer care and after a heated argument was transferred to a supervisor named vignesh, he informed me that there was some issues and that they will have the food reordered, after a couple of mins he replied that the restaurant is not accepting any order and that i need to cancel the order, i was not ready to do the same as the time was around 11pm and i had already waited for more than 3 hrs for this order.
He informed that the order needs to be cancelled and that he will initiate and refund and that it will take 4 to 5 business working days for with i disagreed because am sure swiggy is not going to accept if i say please deliver the food and i shall pay after 4 to 5 days.
He then told me that he will provide me with a coupon, i disagreed to the same as well because i placed an order and spent more that 3 hrs and never would i want to commit the same mistake again.
The status of the order is still open as i have not to cancel the order without my permission.
The current status is the order is still open since 8 pm (27/07/2019) and i still have not received any calls and updates from swiggy. It looks like they are not bothered about customer satisfaction; here i am after having made a payment, not knowing what happened to the same.
