I finally got a call from the escalation team and a lot of miscommunications were cleared. Thanks to Consumer Complaints. Funny, I had to come here to get a response and not Swiggy's website. I was given wrong info about the refund time. As per the phone conversation I had with the escalation team, they refund the amount within 24 hours but I was given wrong information about the same on the day when I first had a conversation with a Swiggy agent after the cancellation of my order. I was told that it would take 7 days. I checked with my bank last Friday and they told me to wait till Monday or Tuesday for the amount to get cleared. I dont know what was the hold up but it did get resolved. If the escalation team had called me up earlier or if the agents on chat and phone had relayed the correct info and given a prompt response then the frustration and irritation would have been less. I told the escalation agent about how their contact numbers were useless and I was told it was only for live orders. What about people with cancelled orders then? Will they have to wait to get a decent response? Anyway, the lady from the escalation team (Susmita Roy) who spoke to me was very polite and calm. She listened to my grievances and gave me all the answers I needed and sent me a mail (
[email protected]) with the screenshot of the refund transaction.
