This has been informed to your Service Engineer who has visited the house just one month back and taken photograph. I got his muber from Saravana Stores, Madley Road, West Mambalam. Service Engineer came from west mambalam, Chennai. I forget his number and name also. Till date, no reply from him. I have ben informed that, company is shifting from one premises to another premises and could be the reason for not telling proper answer. 2 chairs are of this category and are occupying the unwanted space in my flat. We ordered sofa cushions on 19th of march. It was told they will deliver it on Mar24. Then on Mar 24, they said will deliver on mar26. Till today (mar28) it hasnt been delivered
I was purchase cot & dressing table from 01.07.2015.
Rs 30000/
Cot hydralic not mounted by fitter due to screw not given in teak & oak.
I was complaint and showroom changed by teak & oak.
Still not mounted.
Cot leg also broken it is very worst product don't buy any product from Teak & Oak.

    Had ordered product sofa on 01.04.14 in Chrompet Teak N oak store vide bill no 2120.Paid an advance Rs 9000/- for the same.Committed that it will be delivered within 15 days. no response and after 20 days i was told that the material i chose was not available and therefore i should choose once again to give fresh order and the same will be delivered after one week. but I am not sure whether they will keep up their words. very much disappointed .Arrange solution at the earliest.Very worst service, not yet come for exchange old product also till now.Hence I dont want to continue and cancel order or refund with compensation immediately.     Bill no 2120 dated 01.04.2014 ordered fabric sofa set in chrompet teak n oak store.Advance paid Rs 9000/- Mr .kalaivanan, manager & saravanan sales man had committed it will delivered within 15 days also committed old product exchange value minimum amount of Rs 1000/-.Product not yet received till date

    But several times approached care and store, they told that selected fabric is not available and old exchange value only Rs 200-300/-I am very much shocked to receive the same.No one is responsible for committment.All are false promise and cheating the customer one by one.
    Due to their worst behaviour facing lot of mental agony and tension since from the date of booking .

    Hence kindly enter into this issue arrange enquiry and solution for the same.
    Arrange refund with compensation or any favorable solution.

      I had ordered for a Pink color study table on 10/2/2014. I was promised that it will be delivered in a week. However it was delayed and after multiple calls and follow up it was delivered on 1/3/2014 and the color delivered was Blue. When asked to take it back, the manager promised me to deliver pink study table in few days and asked me to keep the blue table until then. I have been calling them since then and today when I called them they finally confirmed that they cannot proivide a pink study table and also cannot take back the blue table. I would like to sue them for firstly delaying the delivery and delivering wrong color. Then sue them for rejecting to provide requested color and not refunding the amount by taking back the order. Please help.

        I have purchased 1 Cot from Teak N Oak Furniture Shop at Anna nagar in the month of Dec 2011 for 25k.

        It has 3 years of warranty.

        Now, the Cot center wood has broken. We have informed them the same day. 2 days after 1 person came and just inspected and gone.

        3 weeks has gone. No information from them. They don't have the curtesy to call also. Poor standard of service to customers.

          I purchased a white marble top dining table with 4 chairs from teak n oak, Velacheri, Chennai in May 2012. I was assured that it would be of the highest quality and would serve for a number of years. Within the first month the chairs started shaking and after repeated complaints a person from the outlet came and tightened the screws. Then again in the month of September, just 4 months after purchase one of the legs of a chair gave way and one of my family members was injured. From that time onwards I have been calling them to set right the chair. Now 2 more chairs have started shaking and we are unable to sit. We are unable to use the chairs for fear of falling down. The showroom manager says that they are not responsible. So people think twice no thrice before considering teak n oak to buy furniture. You are sure to be cheated. I am contemplating filing a consumer complaint before the consumer court, Mandaveli, Chennai.

            Had ordered shoe rack on 19/10/2012 from Velachery branch Chennai - sales person Mr Mohammed Rafee.

            Was promised delivery of fresh stock with original packing on 20/10/2012 before 11 am . and were asked to pay full bill amount as advance. I had swiped citibank card for Rs 8500/- total bill value

            Display piece in damaged condition was delivered at 7.30pm. When we called up MR Rafee, he said only this piece is available and we will need to wait for 15 days. When we didnt agree and asked for refund, we were refused

            I logged complaint with Teak n Oak customer care number [protected] and spoke to Mr Ravi – customer care official. I was given the name of Mr Harish as manager with number [protected].

            I had called up Mr Harish who promised me refund by cheque on Monday 22/10/2012. I received cheque on Monday, however the same has not been cleared.

            In addition, the person who came to deliver the cheque, demanded the bill to be returned. He threatened us as well. We were helped by our neighbours. THis is a cheating case and a very bad behaviour especially when I (a lady) live with my aged father

            Need the refund of money. Can anyone help in the process to get my money back.

            முன்பணம் 11000 செலுத்தினேன். பிறகு உங்களுக்கு 15 அல்லது 20 நாட்களில் சோஃபா டெலிவரி செய்வோம் என்று கூறினர். ஆனால் 40 நாட்கள் கழித்துத்தான் எனக்கு சோஃபா டெலிவரி செய்தனர். அதுவும் பலமுறை தொலைபேசியில் தொடர்புகொண்டதால்தான் . நீங்கள் ஆர்டர்செய்த கலர் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்று சொல்லி 40 நாட்கள் கழித்துத்தான் எனக்கு சோஃபா வந்தது. பிறகு 2 மாதம் கழித்து சோஃபாவில் ஏதோ குறை இருப்பதை பலமுறை எடுத்துக்கூறியும் சுமார் 6மாதம் தகவல் கூறியும் இதுவரை எந்த ஒரு repairம் செய்யவில்லை நான் வாங்கிய சோஃபாவின் விலை 52, 000/-ROSELLA 3+1+1 என்ன செய்யலாம். consumer court ல் இவர்கள்மேல் புகார் அளிக்கலாமா? என்ன செய்யலாம் இந்தமாதிரி நாணயம் இல்லாத TEAK N OAK நிறுவனத்தின்மீது எங்கே புகார் அனுப்புவது என்பதை தெரிவிக்கவும்.

              Experience 1:

              Purchased a sofa in DISCOUNT rate from Teak and Oak, when the product is delivered, found sofa is not having good finish. One side of the 3 seat sofa looks high and other side looks lower than the other.

              Called Teak and Oak, they sent guys for repairing, they removed the entire fittings of sofa and fitted that again. After 2 weeks noticed, while sitting cushion reaches the wood inside the sofa.

              Again called the manager and reported the problem, he was telling this is a basic model sofa(13k) so quality will be like this, complete cheating words, do not know why the hell they advertised it as DISCOUNT sofa. Finally he agreed for replacement, I demanded for different product which was agreed.

              Experience 2:
              As replacement of sofa I ordered a rubber wood dining table for 20k by paying 7k additionally. The display piece was very good in quality.

              When I received my table, table has so many scratches and each chair had a crack. They again replaced the 4 chairs, hell again the 4 chairs was having cracks in many places, facing this legally.

              PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BY BUYING THINGS IN TEAK n OAK ANNA NAGAR branch.

              Note: They will be having display piece in the show room, it will be very good in quality but when you receive your piece surely you will miss the quality.

                We ordered furniture worth 17,000. On date of delivery, first they called us and inform that the ordered piece was not available and that was returned to the company. They asked us to choose one more model. We had no choice other than this as they refused to return money.

                On the day of delivery (for second time), the delivery boys teared the sofa set and so we returned the same. They called us and they said they will not give money and also they said that they will manage to stick the teared area . They delivered the same piece with the damaged pieces and so called customer care boys of their company came and stick the sofa set with GLUE. This almost changed the sofa set piece itself.

                We had similar experience with teak and oak. We ordered dining table, it was delivered in the night. It had marble kinda top, morning we say that it had crack in the middle. We called Team and Oak. They told us that it would have got broken after our us??!!! It was delivered around 10 in the night. between night 10 to morning 6, not sure how we could have used. They are neither cheap not the best.
                Teak n oak delivers very bad quality furniture.No doubt about. 2 Years back I bought Dining Table Set, A cot (They say Chakkai cot) and a Wardrobe.

                The Cot broke with a big crack at its center piece on just the second day of its use. They gave a replacement, but I use it for my second bedroom (Bought from another vendor for my primary bedroom). We use that cot very sparilngly only if some guests come. Now after 2 years one of the legs broke. When you look at the the way they fit the legs, even a layman like me can say it is not the way to fix a cot's leg.

                Dining table's legs always becomes loose and I have to call my local carpenter or teal n oak's carpenter (directly). It becomes loose atleast once in 2 months, if we dont take care and fix it immediately it definitely will break one day. it started becomng loose after 6 months of purchase.

                1) The Lock broke after 4 months.
                2) One of the Doors became loose and came out one day.
                3) Fixed the door. But it is starting to become loose again.

                So if you want to buy furniture, My kind advise is, Please DONT buy from teak n oak. They only look good from outside. the wood and the Fitiings are very very bad quality. What is the purpose of furniture if you cant use them and keeps on breaking down ?

They are delivering wooden furniture (Sofa set) that are broken and also we had ordered for a furniture (cot) with width 6.5ft and height 6ft but they have made a cot for 6.5ft height and 6ft width. They are trying to make us accept the furniture that they have made by saying that this was the order given by us.

                Yes, No surprise at all, Now everyone knows Teak n Oak only have good advertising skills and big showroom, but quality of their furniture and service is VERY VERY VERY BAD. This has been the experience for me and my cousin too. My mistake was that I did not consult my cousin before buying from this shop. I just rushed to the shop just because they were giving for big discount.

                I guess you too could have checked for reviews in internet before buying from Teak n Oak. :(
                Teak n Oak is one of the worst furniture shop. They deliver very bad quality products. I brought a marble dining table in Jan 2014 for Rs.16000. But it got broke within 3 months. When we contacted the shop they told warranty is not provided for marble and it is only for the wood. When we purchased they didn't inform. Also they told we can get new marble plate for Rs.9000. How could a dining table will break within 3 months of time. Also how would one pay extra 9000 within 3 months of purchase.

                Please stay away from this shop. They have big showrooms but very bad quality products. I will never ever think of entering
                in to Teak n Oak at any cost.
                We purchased a big showcase with marble background from Team n Oak Anna Nagar Branch during September 2014. We paid advance and waited for the fresh piece to reach our new flat in KK Nagar. But they have sent a relatively old show room piece with so much of patch work at the back. Despite continuous follow up and chasing with show room sales person and branch manager nobody turned up for repairing or replacing till date (12th Jan 2015). We purchased furniture over INR 1.5 Lakhs. This is the kind of treatment this furniture seller is giving to their valuable(!) client!!

                  We had ordered for a SOFA set (3+1+1) from Teak and OAK about 2 months ago, since we wanted the delivery only 3 months later, we had paid the advance of Rs 3000. When we placed the order we were told that the SOFA set is 20,000 Rs with discounted rates. We believed them and we placed our order. Later we had referred the shop to one fo my collegues. When they went they had told that the same sofa is only 15,000. We were shocked and when we reapprached the store, they said that the price keeps changing and the quality of the sofa also. It was the same sofa that we had ordered but they seem to be careless.Also when we approached the shop second time, the people there behaved rudely and harshly.

                    I bought a cot from Teak n Oak on 13th March 2010 at an exhibition at Trade Center. The guys talked sweetly and promised excellent after sales service and warranty. Within a week of purchase one support reaper (one side of the cot) broke. We complained regarding the same to Teak N Oak. After multiple calls, one service guy came and fixed the cot by repairing the broken reaper. When enquired why dont you change the piece of wood, they said they will only repair and this will hold strong. After six months, the other side of the cot got broken. We complained this as well to Teak n Oak Velachery office. This time we requested to change the wood as it is breaking often. One manager (mr.harish) and one sales / service guy (senthil kumar) refused and argued regarding replacment. They informed that these kind of imported wood items does not carry a warranty. They also demanded money to replace the broken wood. Even after prolonged argument, they remained adament and even went to the extent of accusing that we broke the cot by standing on it and jumping. Exhaused with the argument and adament way of the staff we left the showroom. Contacted a local cot manufacturer, who mended the broken piece for Rs.500/-. Also, he commented that a lot of customers of tean n oak are facing similar issues with the showroom. Overall pathetic service. They do not respect their customers. Stay away from this company at any cost if would wish to safe / trouble free service.

                    We too had a similar experience with Teak n Oak Velacherry office. When we purchased the products -(one dining table set, one cot and one compressed wood almarah) they were giving so many promises and guarentee for the products. They promised that for dismantling the furnitures they will charge only 100. But now when we asked for dismantling the three items (since we are relocating) they are asking for Rs.500 - 600 for just 1 hr job. We tried to contact other local carpenters, they agreed for much lower price than teak n oak. Finally we ourselves give a try to dismantle and we were able to dismantle all the three items with our small screw driver set. It didnt take more than 1 hour. Teak n oak customer care is the worst. They dont know how to behave properly. Within 2 months of purchase we got the problem of fungal infection in the wardrobe. When complained the Teak n Oak guys are telling that it is not their problem, it is because of moisture and you can wipe it off. And they are telling that compressed wood is prone to that problem. If they told the same thing before purchasing this we would have preferred steel almarah. They are not even concerned and not ready to visit our houuse and check the complaint. Now we are not using the compressed wood wardrobe bought for Rs.4500 because it is coated with fungal inside and outside.

                    So we suggest not to trust the teak n oak guys because they know only to make promises and not to keep it. They will give all unbelievable advertisements on discounts but that will not be worth buying.
                    Even i have faced the similar kind of issue when i purchased a sofa set and they gave me a double bed cot free. But after the products were delivered the cot looked the used one which we can see in the showroom as a display piece. Additionaly, i ordered for specific design cot and while purchasing they had promised me that the cot will be delivered as per my design but they delivered the same old cot which was kept in the showroom. The drastic part of this deal is that the sofa set has a chair with crack on the hand rest area. They have smartly covered the crack area by polishing it, but after a 2 days of the delivery the crack was visible. I have complianed regarding the same many times but till today no one has arrived. I am not even getting any calls from them as a part of promise to do the service on a particular day. I have to go to the showroom to remind them or call them up They have promised that today i.e, on 10th Jan 2011 the complain will be attended. Let me see the status now.                     YES teak n oak is simply into cheating business not in furniture sales. False promises are plenty. Prices are for new items but i came to know that broken items are being redone to put up for sale. Beware of Teak N oak.
                    June2012 - I bought my LCD stand at Teak and Oak Velachery Shop . I was promised that someone will come and do the installation the next day of delivery. It has been a month and no one has turned up. This is really disappointing considering that i stay just 4 Kms from shop and have called up and requested assistance at least 15 times over last one month. Each and every time i get a response that some one will come in 3 -4 hours. Never happened. Will NEVER EVER GO BACK TO TEAK N OAK.

                      i have purchased double cot + kurlon bed for a total sum of Rs. 11,800/ on 24th Sept. Later i found out in news paper that 25% anniversary sale started on 24th itself and there was free gift of 4 pillows with ANY double cot. Added to this the advt says, double cot and bed combined is only Rs. 9,999/. Just because i didn't see that advt during my purchase, i was not informed of this discount and they cheated me by taking full amount.i feel that i was cheated by their sales people who charged me full amount. Later when i approached them i was not given proper explanation.

                      As a reputed furniture establishment, this is too bad and i never expected such a cunning behaviour from this establishment. My sincere advice to people who want to purchase any furniture, please don't go this shop.

                      Had ordered shoe rack on 19/10/2012 from Velachery branch Chennai - sales person Mr Mohammed Rafee.

                      Was promised delivery of fresh stock with original packing on 20/10/2012 before 11 am . and were asked to pay full bill amount as advance. I had swiped citibank card for Rs 8500/- total bill value

                      Display piece in damaged condition was delivered at 7.30pm. When we called up MR Rafee, he said only this piece is available and we will need to wait for 15 days. When we didnt agree and asked for refund, we were refused

                      I logged complaint with Teak n Oak customer care number [protected] and spoke to Mr Ravi – customer care official. I was given the name of Mr Harish as manager with number [protected].

                      I had called up Mr Harish who promised me refund by cheque on Monday 22/10/2012. I received cheque on Monday, however the same has not been cleared.

                      In addition, the person who came to deliver the cheque, demanded the bill to be returned. He threatened us as well. We were helped by our neighbours. THis is a cheating case and a very bad behaviour especially when I (a lady) live with my aged father

                      Need the refund of money. Can anyone help in the process to get my money back.

                        I have booked for a Dining Table at Teak n Oak Anna Nagar through a customer service person. where the Delivered product and the Display product mismatch. also the Delivered table was defective and after a long running argument of 3 continous day this been sorted out by Fixing the defective table but not replaced with an alternative product.

                        I reall feel sorry for the customers who purchace with Teak n Oak.

                        I Strongly commenting and requesting no one to go to Teak n Oak and purchace their Product. its aplace where u can listem many lie (eg. Delivery time,Technition visit,healthy of product.. ect ect)

                        I must have read this before .I have been experiencing the same situvation.I have been billed and delivered wrong product.they keep on posponding the delivery with silly reason.I wonder why they say delivery will after 6pmwhem I insist them to provide the time of delivery.is it to hide the fault and make me run behind them for the repair.they are known for the false commitment as I have a good lesson from my experience with them.I am syllable waiting for my purchase to get delivered ...please help me what should I do

                          I bought a new dining table on october 10 worth Rs9990.There was a defect(termite attack on the back side of the table) with the dining table and it was replaced.After two days i encontered a problem with the chair which had a defect in its leg and its about to break.I had complained about this problem to them before, but there is no reponse from them.They are postponing the replacement for about a month now.till date there is no response from them.

                          I wonder if any one has the time & patience to take this stupid ‘Teak n Oak’ to the consumer court, and fine them appropriately. If there’s such a need, please do let me know and I will join you in the fight against this ‘collect money & forget customer’ company. The quality of the furniture and after sales service is pathetic, and you get atrocious response from them.

                          Right from the moment you pay the money, all you hear from the people at teak n oak, Velachery are LIES, LIES and DAMN LIES. Even the delivery van driver and store keeper of the company are trained very much to LIE to the customer. There are two stalwarts behind this, one is Balaji (mob no: [protected]), who said he knows nothing other than sales, and the other guy Harish who claims to be the manager. Balaji has the guts to talk to the customer like a typical rowdy. Hooligans running the shop.

                          I’ve all the conversations with balaji and harish recorded on my phone, ‘coz ‘m going to the consumer court with solid proof. Anyone else facing such issues, let’s join and bring them down on their knees.
                          I completely disagree with both the above complaints i had purchased a sofa set from them during June 2009 and have recomended lot of my friends to them and they have given excellent service to many of my friends.
                          I totally agree with Naren. I had a very similar experience with Teakn Oak and am trying to get it resolved. If they don't fix it for me, I am heading right to the consumer courts. Huge quality issues.

                          I agree. DAMN LIES.. serious. I paid the money on the day I ordered, that was 1 month ago and still the furniture is not delivered. Everyday, I get new stories, and a message that Manager is on leave.
                          Valechery Teak n Oak guys are big cheaters. The quality of furniture is too bad. While checkcing the furniture they will speak very sweetly, once your payment has been made, you need to run over them.

                          I brought a double cot from them around 8 months back, When I asked the manager Harish about the finishing was not fine as promised, he told like,

                          "Basic model cots will not have good finishings." This was the attitude of the valechary teak n oak manager. I am daily crying for the money spent there.

                          Guys please be careful, Do do business with them, if you ask this with the manager, he will say that these comments are written from competiters, not from the customers. Please dont believe that. be care full with those people.
                          Experience 1:

                          Purchased a sofa in DISCOUNT rate from Teak and Oak, when the product is delivered, found sofa is not having good finish. One side of the 3 seat sofa looks high and other side looks lower than the other.

                          Called Teak and Oak, they sent guys for repairing, they removed the entire fittings of sofa and fitted that again. After 2 weeks noticed, while sitting cushion reaches the wood inside the sofa.

                          Again called the manager and reported the problem, he was telling this is a basic model sofa(13k) so quality will be like this, complete cheating words, do not know why the hell they advertised it as DISCOUNT sofa. Finally he agreed for replacement, I demanded for different product which was agreed.

                          Experience 2:
                          As replacement of sofa I ordered a rubber wood dining table for 20k by paying 7k additionally. The display piece was very good in quality.

                          When I received my table, table has so many scratches and each chair had a crack. They again replaced the 4 chairs, hell again the 4 chairs was having cracks in many places, facing this legally.

                          PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BY BUYING THINGS IN TEAK n OAK ANNA NAGAR branch.

                          Note: They will be having display piece in the show room, it will be very good in quality but when you receive your piece surely you will miss the quality.

                          I brought a Icon sofa from Teak n Oak.
                          Just after one year, the product showed its real charcteristics after thee warantee period.
                          Sofa stitches started coming off and the 3 seater leather started ripping off.
                          The product is very bad.
                          when i called for service during 2010, they didn't respond properly. i called many times but they tell we will call you back or we will send you person. i went in person to the shop itself nd gave complaint for that also no response.

                          Very poor service and response.

                          Its total money and time waste going to Teak n Oak.

                            I purchased a dining table with 4 chairs on Sep 2008. We have not used the chairs much as the family member count is only 2. After 1.5 months all the chairs started creating noise and after 2 months one of the chair broken. When we contacted the furniture shop the response was not good. They send a fitter after much demand. The fitter just tighten the screw and left. After few days the same problem pop up. When contacted the response give in "Rosewood furniture will be like that and they won't replace the defective one.

                            Please never ever go to Teak and Oak furniture shop in Velachery. They are the number one cheaters.

                            i Agree even same happened to me
                            I have purchased a sofa set in Teak & Oak Velacherry in May 09. The sofa got repaired within two months without even using it. I gave a complaint in September 09. Till today (3rd of December) the sofa which was taken for service has not been returned to us. There is obsolutely no response from the dealer. Each time we call up they say it will be given next. I have never seen such a worst service for the product so far I have purchased from any other dealer. I think some action should be taken againt this dealer.

                            I would recommend not to purchase any product from this dealer (Velacherry) at any cost.

                            They can shut the shop and stop cheating the public.
                            I totally agree with you people. Yesterday, 26th I purchased a Dining table and a Cot. They tried to cheat me by sending the chairs which was displayed in the show room. I caught them redhanded and they are giving lame excuses. Now they are commiting to replace the chairs on tuesday. GOD only can save us.


                            Velacherians, never ever go to that shop.
                            I have had very bad experience with the irresponsible from Teak and Oak. But the point is, I missed this feedback page or would have never chosen this shop. These lazy bones dont give the right word. And for a purchase worth thousands, they dont care to deliver the goods properly. I wish all the feedbacks in this page are taken seriously and published somewhere so that nobody else is fooled once again. People there must realize the need for the bare minimum customer care.
                            The worst customer experience I had.They don't keep up there promises.I have been promised to deliver my furniture purchased on 7 th march 2011 within maximum of 15 days.I have been following up with them regularly to get delivered the order within the time. However the have been posponding the deliver and my order is not yet delivered.just promises no responsible action has been taken yet .Today they have promised to deliver without specifying time, after much demand promised again get it delivered by 6pm.. Am waiting with just hope.
