I live in a rental house. I asked tikona to disconnect my connection because I had to shift. They didnt take my request and kept calling me to take my conenction with me wherever I am going. I seriously do not want to use their connection any more. I said that, finally after 2 hours of furious talk they took my request. My internet should have been disconnected by May 30, which was a safe side for me. But between these 15 days my Intenet stopped working. Other members from my flat called from(that is not a registered number) their number, and asked for connectivity issue, where they were told that disconnection request was raised. These people(from flat) asked to resolve the issue and transfer the ownership, wherein tikona told them to send an sms from the registered phone through which they can change the registered phone number and registered email address. Transfer of ownership takes some time, so they said to let the id proof be the same and they will change the registered phone number and email id. With this they also terminated my request of internet disconnection. I didnot wanted them to do so, I wanted my connection to terminate, and these people would have taken another connection.
I got furious, and angry, and started calling their customer support, where they did not take may request. I can tell this because when I called the next day asking for status update for the request raised the previous day, they said that a request was not raised. Finally, a request was taken on June 2(which was not a disconnection request, but some other request) for the first time. Since then, I called them each day. Before leaving for office I made a point to call them around 8-9 am(everyday). When I called to billing team, they said I should call to technical team. When I called to technical team, they said it should be handled by billing team. I kept calling them because I had not received any email like the last time stating that my disconnection request had been taken, and I should expect a full and final settlement email by 15 days from that day.
I also told them that I'll file a case at consumer court, for which the caller said "Okay"(that's it). finally my billing cycle due date passed, for which I started receiving calls from tikona to pay the bill. The bill is payed in advance for the coming month. I payed the bill of 1910 INR (because tikona has a lot of cases files against it for not takinng disconnection request since the bill was not paid, even though the bill is paid in advance, its a silly reason to make).
The new flatmates also wanted to take tikona, because Airtel, ACT etc.. broadband service is not present in my area. So, now I asked for a transfer of ownership. The caller agreed, took my details and the member on whose name the connection had to be transferred. Now, the moment I payed the bill, they called me stating that they have taken my disconnection request and will terminate my connection that day(At this point I have already paid for the coming month. And, till that date, they hadn't taken my disconnection request). They even sent their representatives to my home(Their representatives had never come to my home whenever I faced issue with their connection). Their representatives shouldn't had come to take the setup, bacause ownership was being transferred, and address remained the same.
I had to again call them to ask for refund, where first they said, that the amount I paid will be lapsed, then they agreed to let us use the connection till 20 June, and they will send the new user id by 20 June. Since that day My internet is not working. I have raised several request, but in vain. It should be noted, that the call to their customer service is not answered at that moment and there is a waiting time of 10-15 minutes(even though they say its around 5 minutes), and when they transfer the call, then again there is a awaiting time. My time is precious. Had they taken my request on June 2 itself, My connection would have been terminated, and I would have paid the full and final settlement amount. Now, I am stuck with no internet, with no one taking my request, and I am not sure whether the connection would be terminated on 20 June. The customer care is useless. They dont know anything to answer other than "Sorry". Most of the time I get furious, and frustrated after calling them. I want them to take two of my request, and give me a proof that they have taken the request.
1) Fix my internet asap, or refund the amount for the number of days net is not working.
2) disconnect/terminate my account on 20 June, and send over a new user id on a different id proof, and not my id proof. They had agreed on transferring of ownership and a new user account, after completely terminating the current one.
