I had applied for a Tikona Broadband service at Marine Drive. They took a deposit for installation. The installation was never done as there was no network.Was never given a userid nor password. This was in the month of June'2010. I am still running from pillar to post for refund. Over and above that I receive calls any given day at anytime for payment dues outstanding.

Tikona wi-bro — No Installation and no refund

Hi,

I planned to install Tikona Wi-Bro at my residence in Koper khairne Navi Mumbai and gave the cheque of Rs 500/- towards deposit however no one turned up for installing the software and now they are not ready to give the refund as well. I was in contact with Mr Ajit Singh and he doesnt respond whenever I try to call him. He also disconnects as soon as he comes to know it's me if I call from some other number. This is a big chor company and I would not recommend this to anyone. Ajit's number is [protected] and if anybody of you are able to contact him, request you to ask him to contact me immediately. It's not a matter of Rs 500 but about the ethics of a company who boasts about providing great customer experience.

    Hi Team,

    My name is Tejas Maladwala, I was using Tikona internet broadband, I have started using this from around Aug/Sept 2010. First 10 days it was working fine after that it started giving problem I have launched complaints in customer care after that also service was so poor that problems are getting sorted out in 2 or 3 days minimum.

    On 26th Oct 2010 the internet stopped working & then never got connected. I waited for 4 days then I launched complaint in customer care but nothing happen. I waited for more 2 days once again I call at customer care nothing has happened. For next 15 days I regularly call customer care but nothing has happened. I stopped calling customer care but was try to connect the internet for next one month. I am fed up of service. Then they started calling for bills on regular basis. I have disconnected the service but they still call for bills.

    I am fed up of Tikona. They even sending person at my place. I want launch compliant against Tikona.

    Please help.

      This is a complaint regarding Tikona Internet Service provider, here I m suffering from internet connection problem since past 3-4 weeks. I called up the customer care center daily 4-5times, but I was just given false promises. Yesterday (22/01/2011) two technicians were sent at my place and found a problem with the modem device and the only solution was to replace it. They promised me to replace it immediately before 9PM that day. But no one has showed up with the new device till now (5.30PM 23/01/2011). I have been calling up the customer care since yesterday till now but I have recieved nothing but false promises again and agian. I have also been trying to call the technicians but they are not recieving my calls.
      I am a student of IT engineering and I have lost much of my precious time due to this problem. I have suffered a lot and have no other option than complaining.

      I hope that my complaint will be taken to consideration.

        I have a complaint against Tikona Digital Network providing broadband services. I had subscribed to their Unlimited Plan for entire year with a Pre-payment. I got my services disconnected on[protected] and the equipment was collected by their person on[protected] for which I have the receipt. I was informed that the service charges for the unused services will be refunded and will take 30 days to process it. No Refund has been received till date.

        I have lodged complaint with the company at periodic intervals and the complaint numbers are:

        Whenever I call I am informed that your complaint is under process or they issue a new complaint number.

        You help in resolving this would be highly appreciated.

        Hi,

        This has reference to the subject request & A/c. No. trailing mails

        Please note that I have sent cancellation & refund request No.1-[protected] of service ID No. [protected] on 8/11/11 due to no network availability from Oct., 11 onward.

        As per telecommunications with your customer care Representative I got confirmation that I will get my refund within 25 working days. In fact, I got 2 call backs for confirmation of cancellation.

        Till date I have got no update on my request accept below mail from Nodal office that my request has been forwarded to the concern department.

        Please note that my cancellation request on is on account of " No network available & Tikona was not able to provide the services to me after using approx. one month of service."

        It is almost 4 months now that no service is available to me & no proper justification or no one from Tikona contacted me to explain why Tikona can not provide services to me. Which means Tikona is using customer's money without providing the services.

        I also regret to mention that the service level of Tikona specially being a service provider is no where near to the basic standards. I will never recommend Tikona to any person or individual.

        If Tikona wish to provide me the services then the services should start within next 48 Hrs, from now onwards. Failing which it is considered as Tikona can not provide services or requested to refund the balance amount lying in my account on pro-rata basis as much I used Tikona's services.

        Please note that I am referring this case to "Consumer court" also. Hence. requested to reply within prescribed time limit.

          Hi Everyone,
          I am also another harrassed customer of Tikona. After 1 month of installation the connection did'nt worked properly everymonh.I paid by cheque my bill still my a/c. was deactivated saying hat my cheque has bounced .After so many communications when i was fedup they told ( one mr. C.P.Bhardwaj from tikona) me to pay Rs.1000. & my a/c. would be closed .After paying through citibank cheque no. 323758 dated 09/12/10 for Rs. 1000/- as full & final payment ( BAN No.[protected] to their executive Mr. Devinder
          Singh ( I have taken a written letter from him too) still i am geting constant calls from tikons.

          TO HELL WITH THIS KIND OF FRAUD COMPANY.
          I URGE EVERYONE NOT TO EVER TAKE TIKONA CONNECTION.
          U WILL NOT SURF BUT SUFFER FOR SURE...

            My nightmare starts from application and still continuing though I have applied for disconnection.

            I applied for a tikona connection by putting a request on their website. Greatest mistake of my

            life ...


            1. It took a week to get the engineer after atleast 3-4 calls and 3-4 promises
            2. Engineer blame each other, sales blame engineers , engineers blame sales... :-)
            3. Speed was good for 1 day after installation there after it was so slow that even bandwidth test sites were not opening up.
            4. Each call to customer care goes with a reply , soon you will get a sms and an engineer will contact you and your problem will be resolved latest by next day 2:00 PM...... None of this happens in real...neither any SMS comes nor engineer visits and not the speed improves..
            5.My connection went active on 17th Dec 2010 and in 13 odd days till 30th Dec 2010 I had lodged 8 request for poor speed. almost 1 every day.
            6. Finally wisdom came to me , on 1st January I applied for disconnection.
            7. Apathy yet to be continued.... They are not ready to tell me how much money I will get back.. What is the status of processing and when the engineer shall visit to collect the instrument..
            8. after 8 request for poor service, I have already made 4 request for disconnection.....


            CAN ANYBODY HELP ????


            Read on the website ( browsed thru my office internet ) that a poor chap had even called MD ( MD also took his user id and vanished away :0 ) seems company is inefficient from top to bottom...

              The issue here is that my bandwidth drops down to half every 2 days. I have a Ful799 plan. The speed should be 80Kbps. I can understand if it fluctuates between 60 and 80 Kbps. But I get a maximum of 35 kbps. Then i can and file a complaint and in 24 to 48 hours, the issue is resolved. But the issue occurs in 2 days again. I have lodged about 10 complaints in 1 month. Have issues with smtp ports too. All are blocked. 25, 2525, 587 and 465. A senior accepted the problem and said it will be fixed. When It was not I called back. This is where the trouble started. The call was answered by Pooja.

              As soon as she heard port numbers, she started chanting "please contact your system administrator/hardware engineer" I explained that the email service provider is the company I work for and that I am leading the system administration team. Can send mails through my reliance data card but not through tikona. But she repeated the sentence close to 15 times. Told her to pass it on to Bharati whom I spoken to before and who told me she will fix it. But Pooja was stuck on her scripted answer. And she added that she wont transfer as there is no resolution. I told her about how I telnet the ports but she had no understanding of it and repeated her sentence. She has no idea of how tikona works or how to troubleshoot issues. She wont be reading this as she does not sound like she has ever used the internet without supervision. In the end she told me lodge a compliant as she will not fix the issue or transfer me to Bharati. Tikona, if you guys are reading this, please ask pooja to undergo extensive traing.

              And for consumers, BEWARE OF POOJA. Disconnect the call if she answers and call again and talk to someone else.

                I had requested a closure of account no. [protected] vide request no. 1-[protected] Dt.[protected]. I have not been using any service for the last six months and had made the final payment of Rs.17/= on[protected]. I called up again on[protected] to confirm the closure and was communicated by customer care engineer that I am eligible for a refund of Rs.500/=.

                But Tikona still generated a fresh bill of Rs.114/= on[protected] and further on[protected] and showed an outstanding of Rs.133/=. The charges were shown for the period of[protected] onwards. Although my request for closure was registered on[protected]. They still keep on calling me up and ask for settlement of dues.

                This is quite absurd, annoying and stupid on the part of the company. It shows that they have no follow up of their queries and customer's request.

                Necessary Action should be taken by concerned authorities to stop malpractices by such companies.

                Tikona Digital Networks — Generation of Fraud Bills

                I have taken Tikona connection [protected]- on 16 August 2010. I have p[aid bill of Rs 1250+ 500 installation charges for that. & closed connection on 22nd Nov 2010.

                I have got call from Tikona customer care that another connection no -[protected] is on my name & bill was around 500/- So I clarify that I am not using Tikona connection from 22nd Nov 2010 & whatever bill is totally wrong . After frequent call from Tikona customer care I have paid Rs 500 by cheque to Mr Vanja & told that I am not using Tikona connection till from 22nd Nov 2010.
                Now One another call from Tikona customer care told me that Connection No[protected] is on my name & I have to pay bill.

                I hope you will inquire all this matter immediately & check who has open all these connections in my name , also close all connections created if any in my name immediately, as I am not using Tikona connection after 22nd Nov 2010.
                Also don’t open any connection in future As I don’t wants to use Tikona connection after 22nd 2010.

                I already full settlement and disconnect my account. @ Aug 2010.

                Now Tikona sending bill again to me. bill dated Last Oct 2011.

                What a bad service.

                Really Worst Service. Customer Care also.

                  I am Saurabh Zade resident of Madinaguda hyderbad, i had taken internet connection from Tikona digital networks with following details

                  Since January 1st i am facing issues while connecting to Tikona wireless network, in spite of filling multiple complaints,Tikona folks failed to respond back and still there is no resolution on my problem.

                  Following is the sequence of complaints filed by me.
                  Complaint1: Date Jan 7 evening -> response -> madinaguda, Hyderabad region is under maintenance, issue will be rectified asap.
                  Complaint2: Date Jan 8 morning, -> response -> Issue will be solved as soon as possible
                  Complaint3: 1-[protected] talked to supervisor: Karthik : Response -> issue will be solved as soon as possible. Date, jan 8 evening
                  Complaint4: 1-[protected] , after this, I received a call from engineer called Vamsi (Mobile no: [protected]) and committed to come on next morning but didn’t show up.
                  Complaint5: noted down all above points and forwarded it to technical team and assured for resolution ASAP.

                  I am paying 850 rs per month to these guys for this connection still I am getting such a pathetic service, on top of it these guys are not at all concerned if the customer is not getting their issues resolved.

                  A strict action should be taken for their unprofessional behaviour.

                    Tikona is charging higher rates for usage beyond the plan charges.Under my plan CB 299 the charges for

                    usage beyond 1000 MB is only 30p per MB as per the tariffs mentioned on their website,But since the past

                    few months I am being charged Re 1 for each MB used beyond 1GB.When this was pointed out they tell

                    that the new rate of 30 p is applicable only to new customers.

                    I absolutely agree with the wrong billing done by Tikona Mumbai in regards to my case where I was promised that I would be getting charged for CB 299 Plan at 1000MB free + 1 Re/MB and then after 300 MB, it ll be free which translates to 299+300 (@ 2MBPS) + taxes. Now this month suddenly they are charging me as per the new plan with the cap limit of the bill going to Rs. 999 than 599 which was initially promised. I am highly dissatisfied with their attitude and would suggest no one ever to take their connection.

                      We have taken Tikona`s company Broadband connection in July 2010. The. Scheme was of Rs 299 Monthly plan, but if your usage exceeds the maximum bill will be of Rs 599 only. Now they are saying that you have exceeded the download and your bill is rs 6000 approx. I have July month bill where inspite of more download the bill is of Rs 599.
                      In Aug I have change the plan to Unlimited download for 1 year and made advance payment for the same of 6618. Now in November they have adjusted this payment of 6618 of Aug bill.

                      Tikona Digital Networks — Bill In Spite of Disconnection

                      I was using Tikona's Wifi Broadband Service, in mid June 2010 i had problems as the net was totally closed for more than 10 days, after 10 days the tikona's person came and told that the net would not be able to run again as their company had switched the towers, so it could not be started again. So i asked to disconnect the net. The person Mr. Santosh took the wifi box and filled a form for disconnection.
                      However after one month i was surprised to see the bill of amount Rs. 300+
                      Again next month I received a bill of amount Rs. 600+ and the next month Rs. 900+
                      Now every month i am receiving the bill even though I have no connection.
                      How are these people working i donot know.
                      I have made numerous complaints to Tikona Call Center but to no avail.
                      And to make matter worse i receive numerous phone call from Tikona for payment and Regular sms's ...this is basically a harassment they are doing.

                        Hi,

                        My Name is Tejas Maladwala, I was using Tikona broadband. For first 10 to 15 days it was working fine & then start giving problem. It was getting disconnected or not getting connected at all. I have launch complaints for that on 25th oct 2010 it stopped working I waited for 4 to 5 days coz this kind of thing was normal. On 30th of Oct 2010 I have launched complaint in customer care. They told me they will reply in 6 hours and they dint reply for 2 days. I have once agin call customer care nothing happenned, I have followed up that complaint for 7 or 8 days but nothing happened.

                        The connection never work then onward, I have stopped calling customer care but try to connect for around next month also I have stopped the bill payment. I have disconnected the service in Dec 2010.

                        Tikona people are calling me and coming at my home for money I have told them I not going to pay anything. When I was calling for service they never responded but for bill payment they harassing us by calling for coming to my place. I am fed up of this.

                        I want to launch a complaint regarding this.

                          I am extremely frustrated with Tikona broadband connection...I have paid three months advance to Tikona.. In just 2.5 months they just irritated us like anything...since Day 1 I am struggling to get my connection right...Too many excuses for poor services.. Customer Care asks you too many questions just to irritate you further without any solutions...Advice to all to rethink if any one looking to get tikona connection...

                          POOREST SERVICE EVER GOT EXTREMELY...ALL COMMITMENTS FROM TIKONA ARE FALSE...

                          Internet Connection — poor installation

                          Dear sir,
                          i am very sorry to inform you that before one month i have taken internet connection. I was not present at home at the time of installation.
                          The cable is not connected properly. Your personnels inserted cable through the window. Now the window is open all the time.
                          Due to open window Mosquitoes are harrasing us every night. I made complain to the main office as well as local office Many times but no body is there to listen
                          The complain was made before 10 days.
                          Pl. take some action and do the needful.

                          Yes, I am also facing the same problem. From day 1, I service is very bad.
                          I agree. Tikona is the worst i have ever seen. No network coverage, its too slow. I got 1 Mbps plan but all the time the download speed is only 234 kbps and upload speed is 45. It took me 3 hours to download 6 Mb file. [censored] Tikona.

                            My acc number is [protected]. Have used various internet connections and Tikona is the worst. Not at all value for money. They have a concept called contention ratio, which actually the use to fool the customers, you can never get the speed that you have paid for. Try Airtel or MTNL but seriously Tikona is not worth the effort or money.

                            for a 512kpbs connection you would only get an avg of 180 kbps speed.

                            i am your wifi bro user with plan hunltd 3899. i am staying below address and on my building only your tower is installed. when i came to know that tikona is avilable in my area i called for demo . after doing so i got approximate 10 calls from different agent. after that your 1 agent name PRAMOD came to my home and showed me a demo which was showing healthy speed.
                            he didnt provided me any broacher but suggested me hunltd 3899 plan and committed that you will get consistent speed of 600 kbps. which sound convincing to me so then and there i gave him cheq for payment of 6 month. on 1st of Feb i started using tikona with user id [protected]. till first 10 - 15 days the speed was consistent i.e around 550kbps to 600 kbps. but after that it went down to 150 kbps to 250 kbps. so i called pramod for same he told me that there must be some problem so he asked me to call his senior MR VAIBHAV who works as customer service assurance executive. when i called him he sent 2 engineers to solve my problem also he personally came down to my home to check. even after that the problem was not solved on head of that vaibhav told me that i got some serious problem with my laptop only. also he told me that there must be problem in using wifi so he offered me to provide connection through swith which was installed on my building and he assured that this will solve my problem and i will get consistent speed. beliving him i agreed for that when i got connection from direct swith just for 1 day i got satisfactory speed and from the next day onward i was not able to get connected so i again called vaibhav so he said he is sending MR ANIL. who is engineer to my place.
                            when anil saw my plan and all details he told me that my plan provides 600kbps speed n after that it reduces... it was too much shocking to me cause it was clearly told by pramod that this plans provide consistent speed. when i told anil that this was told to me he said that this sale people do not have that much knowledge. suprisingly i called back vaibhav, because he too was working on my problem from 2 weeks but he never told me that ma plan is not consistent speed. when i told vaibhav he too was suprised so i called pramod, he said to me that in your plan you get consistent speed and that technical persons dont have any knowledge.he also added that he his working from last one year and he have better knowledge than anil it was too irritating for me. anil pramod and vaibhav had a conference call on which they discoverd that my plan really do not provide consistent speed.
                            i was told by vaibhav that pramod have commited wrongely so he will solve my problem. when i called pramod he said its his mistake that he commited wrongly that i will get consitent speed he also agreed to come down to my place and resolve the problem.
                            from that day to till date pramod is not picking up the call and when i am calling vaibhav he is saying what speed i am getting is according to my plan and he cant do anything as the false commitment was given by pramod. also he suggested me to change my plan

                            what i want to convey is changing the plan is not the resolution. after all what i have faced is false commitment and poor customer service respons. which is not at all according to tikona image. i find mr vaibhav least intrested in solving my problem and more intrested in blaming pramod which is not at all suitable for customer service assurance exe. its more than 15 days now and i am still getting speed of 150 kbps to 250 kbps... is this what i should expect from tikona...if i would have told clearly about plan before only i would have chosen different plan...so why was the false commitment given...and now is that my fault that my plan dosent provide me consistent speed even after i was told so...or it was my mistake to pay in advance for six months by trusting on tikona image...i sincerely look forward for positive and quick action from you as it is really disappointing being a tikona user.

                              i have availed net connection of the company vide Service ID [protected] in the month of August 2010. At that time i had requested for connection to lap top also which was agreed by the company at a charge of RS.75/- pm. However, due to technical reasons the company could not provide the connection to lap top. However, the company is charging Rs.75/- pm without providing the requested service. As soon as i receive the monthly bill i have been taking up the issue with the company through customer care. The company reversed the excess billing twice. Again last month i was charged Rs.75/-. When contacted vide complaint no. 1-[protected], i was told that the amount will be adjusted in the next billing. But the same was not done. I complained again vide complaint no. 1-[protected].

                              I have received the latest bill. The company has not reversed the excess billing. But has once again charged Rs.75/- for the service not provided by them.

                              I am rightful in demanding the refund of the excess billing along with the tax charged by the company.

                              In spite of persistent follow ups the company is adamant and never cares for the just and right demand of the customer.

                              i intend to file case against the company.

                              Tikona — Excess amount in Internet Bill

                              I am highly dissatisfied with the way Tikona has handled our internet service and also the complaints/queries related to it. I have been talking to their representatives to sort out the last bill dated 15th of April, 2011, but there seems to be no progress. We had DISCONTINUED Tikona service on 30th March 2011, but as per the 15th April bill we have been charged, with a sum of Rs. 1515.52, till 15th of April, 2011.

                              Now, instead of rectifying the previous bill, Tikona has sent us another bill dated 15th May, 2011. This time the amount includes: Previous dues of 1515.52 + Late fee charges + New bill for the period 15th April – 15th May. The total due amount now stands at: Rs. 3088.93. We had moved out of the premises (mentioned in the bill) on 4th of April, 2011 and we have legal documents to support it. We had also raised a ticket number 1-[protected] to try and sort this out, but they are either cheating us or are incompetent to handle customer queries.

                              We are also planning to file an FIR against Tikona. Please help us in this regard.

                                There was continous network connectivity breakdown for 2-3 months.

                                They where totally Handicapped for resolving the issue, i have details of regular follow up & call log details.

                                For the usage of 3gb they are asking for Aprox Rs.1133, whereas Telecom service provider gives 2gb free internet for only 98 Rs monthly.

                                So there is no sense for paying this much Amount, even though i get a call for payment & guy comes for visit for the payment.

                                I have requested them to Waive of the unwanted amount & bill me the proper amount but they waived only around 100 Rs.

                                They are not cable to meet the customer expectation but for the money.

                                I would request to take an action against such Business group who dumped the customer.


                                I even was fooled by there executive... which is a long concern

                                  i have taken a connecting of this company but at my home installation engineer doesn't found the access point so connection was not install. Engineer told me to complian customer care for refund i have complain to customer at day of 22 Oct 2010

                                  Mine story is also the same.

                                  Dear Sir,
                                  Please find the below email communications regarding the refund of my amount which I had paid to "Tikona Digital". To present you the facts once again, I request you to kindly note the following:
                                  1) My Tikona Digital Internet Connection was commenced on 27/11/2010.
                                  2) I made an advance payment of Rs 3008/- (vide Cheque No. 112341 dated 19/11/2010

                                  drawn on Punjab National Bank, Anushaktinagar.) to cover the period of Six Months.
                                  3) After using the net for 3-4 days, I was not satisfied with the services and Internet speed and hence I lodged a request for disconnection and refund.
                                  4) I lodged the request on 02/12/2010 and I was promised by your Customer Care Executive that within 30 days, I will get my money back.
                                  5) I also emailed the same request for disconnection and refund to customer support and requested them to send their representative to collect whatever devices they had installed at my home. The same email could be found below.
                                  6) I waited for 1-2 weeks but no body from Tikona Care came to my home to collect the devices.
                                  7) In the meantime, I kept on calling the Customer Care to know the status of my refund request. Everytime, I was given the same reply that I would get my refund within 30 days.However, things never moved beyond the assurance.
                                  8) I kept on writing emails to customer care as well as Nodal Officers. However, I was too surprised to note that Nodal Officer always replied with a pre-typed text to every mail of mine. After receiving same reply again and again from Nodal Officer, I could make out that Nodal Officer did not even bother to read the email and the content of the mail.
                                  9) After a lot of pursuance and follow up, the person from Tikona Digital came to my home on 30th December 2010 to collect the devices. The devices were returned to the Tikona Personnel in the working condition.
                                  10) I was informed by the person who came to collect the devices that within 15 days I will be receiving back the cheque for my refund.
                                  11) Since then, I have been following up with your customer care executives and the Area Manager for the status of the refund but every time they have given me a reply that refund will be processed within 30 days.
                                  12) It is more than 45 days since the time I made a request for the refund. I do not understand when the "30 Days Deadline" will be over for Tikona Digital.
                                  13) I have again called on your customer care number on 11/01/2011 and again I have received the reply that my request is under process.

                                  I am still waiting for my refund. Tikona Digital is the most Pathetic Internet Service Provider.

Hence I was told that my deposit of Rs. 500/- will refunded at the earliest.

                                    But I am extremely sorry to inform you that almost 2/3 months time has lapsed and I have still not received the amount inspite of my continuos follow up and assurance made by your customer care department over the phone.

                                    I therefore request you to refund the deposit of Rs. 500/- alongwith 7% interest p.a. from 23/8/10, failing which I had no option but to move to appropriate consumer forum entirely to your risk and cost.

                                      I Prathamesh Kamath user id [protected] have been using tikona service ful 799 plan which promises 750kbps as line speed and download should be 750kbps /8 which is approx 93.75kbps download speed, however for the past 2 months from the month of october i have been facing extreme slow speed. I am not even getting half of the speed forget about 750kbps

                                      i have called cust care numerous times and generated numerours tickets and they just have 1 thing to say that we will send desktop engineer, although i try to explain to them that i have 2 systems 1 desktop connected via ethernet thru your C shaped modem provided by tikona and 1 laptop connected wirelessly thru tikona dialer wi fi and speed is the approx same on both so its not a system issue and desktop engineer wont be able to assist.but still cust care sent a desktop engineer who spoke with ATS dept and confd that its a network issue but doesnt give a deadline as to when it will be fixed.


                                      In short I am paying for the service (the speed promised) that i am not getting . I am sending you screen shots of speed test done at www.speedtest.tikona.in for you reference

                                      Over and above that when i try to escalate the matter to tikona help desk, no one's bothered, about resolving the issue.I
                                      I tried to contact Mr.Rohit Taksande who is the area service delivery manager but to no use
                                      no one's ready to help

                                      so i would like to file a consumer complaint so that Tikona either improves their pathetic service or else close their business and stop cheating / fooling people

                                        I have given the request for broadband connection, Due to unavailability of signal they rae not able to give connection. But in his record my name is registered and after some time they are asking for bill payment. I have cleared my situation to call center. But every time they are calling to my mobile number and they do not disable my name form his record.
                                        How they will ask for bill of payment without any connection.
