Compalint Against: Tikona Wi-bro Wireless Broadband.

The above cited private wireless internet provider approached me with a request to take their connection as it is wireless and the speed of browsing would be something amazing. They also told me that they will give demonstration of the service and if we are satisfied we can go for permanent connection. Since they are willing to give demo, I agreed to it and on going through the demo, I was startled as the speed of the internet is not even 500 KBPS and it ended with frequent interruptions. The Executive told me that there is no tower in the vicinity of my residence and suggested me to have a try at my office where there is a tower nearby to that place. I agreed and they installed the equipment, took signatures and one month advance rentals and installation charges and vanished. Since then, I am not able to browse the net continuously for more than 5-6 minutes as the connectivity goes snapping every 5-6 minutes. The speed is also considerably low in comparison to BSNL Broadband. Whenever, I am trying to locate the local office, the central help line people say that we have no need to contact the local office and any complaint will be taken on file by the central help line and they will see it is resolved within the next 24 hours. I made umpteen number of complaints to the central help line and none of my complaints have been taken seriously. Even, the persons responding to the call are not equipped with the system of providing complaint reference number.

I am not able to get rid of this erratic service as I have no access to the local personal dealing with the above cited company and the central help line though they are asked to remove the service from my premises for more than 12 times between 26th May - 23rd June,2011, they have not deputed any body to disconnect the service and take possession of their equipment.

I advise the readers of this forum not to fall pray to this erratic service.

    I wanted to buy Tikona internet and I contacted Tikona through tikona’s website.

    I confirmed in my area internet service is available or not. I found that yes its available in my area named jeppu, in Mangalore.

    I got appointment fixed on date[protected]:30 pm. Nobody called me or come to me for appointment.

    Then I registered a complaint for that on date[protected] with a complaint number 1-[protected]. Again nobody responded me.

    Then I registered a one another complaint for the same on date[protected] with a complaint number 1-[protected].
    This time I mentioned to the operator that its very urgent to me to get internet connection.
    Again the same ! up to now nobody responded yet.

      Tikona,

      I am using Tikona braodband connection. (User Id: [protected])
      From 13th June My connection is not working. After launching customer complaint, I came to know that because of some outstanding amount my connection was discontinued by tikona.

      I have two points:
      1. How can tikona disconnect my connection without any prior notice?
      2. Why not a single bill statement was sent to me prior to this?

      After that I received bill statement (This was first since my registration and that too improper) I made the necessary payment. It is reflecting in my bank account statement but not in your system from last two days.
      So still my connection is not active..

      I had launched almost 7 complaints to your customer care all are now in closed condition without ANY SOLUTION.

        As per my telephonic discussion with Tikona person Yesterday ,As he told the Amt will be Refunded to you that is Rs.3753=00 but as per below mail why cant this is Rs. -4,716.22/ please clarify this issue and reply

          IMMEDIATELY AFTER AN HOUR 1000MB IS VANISHED EVEN I DIDN'T USE ATALL
          5TH JUNE I RAISED A COMPLAINT THEY TOLD TO CHANGE PLAN TO UNLIMITED .SO I DID IT.
          8TH I RAISED THE COMPLAINT TO THE CUSTOMER CARE FOR NO CONNECTION

            I applyed for new connection on 5th June [protected]@ 5pm. At that time , they updated me installation will happen within 3 or 4 working days. But till date its not Happend(Almost 15days).
            I tired to complient so many times but no response, always saying we are working with High prority.

              one day the call came from the unknown number i.e. [protected] against so many complaints to Indianconsumercomplaint.in regarding slow speed in Tikona wi-bro. He was saying that we ll give you a compensation of the problem you suffer. We ll give a free internet service for month. But on the same day my internet connection is not working then I call again to the above unknown number, and the number is switch off and till date. Then I request the to tikona customer care as well as franchise owner from where I got the connection. When I call to the tikona customer representative, he/she ask your number, DOB, address proof, and email ID and document submitted. Then he/she replied your email ID and phone number is not matching. Then I ask about what’s the phone number is showing there. I shocked the phone number is same as which I told you above as well as email Id also not matching. Then I called to the franchisee owner ( Vishal- [protected]) from where I go the connection , he was saying that call to the customer care, but the customer refuses to disconnect the connection with authencity of your account. Then I called again to the franchise owner, he replied so rudely said “ joh karna hai karlo”. But anyhow i submitted my disconnection request to the tikona customer care representative. Still I didn’t get any acknowledgement from the tikona service representative to my email Id i.e [protected]@gmail.com <mailto:[protected]@gmail.com> . Too many times I harass from tikona wi-bro as well as franchise owner. Please do something regarding in this manner. I want justice as soon as possible.               Tikona WI-BRO service — unnecessary calls

              I booked the tikona brodband service on oct 22nd'2010 however when there technician came for installation he said that they provide onlu WI-FI coonections which i was never told and my place dosen't have WI-FI connectivity.

              Now i am receiving frequent calls for outstanding bill. i told the collector about the situtation twice however they calls again. help me out how should i deal with them.

              I shocked when i saw the bill, because the other plans are activated by someone or system error (UNLTD 3499 and FMC 2499). As well as the bill period is 26 may 2011 to 2 june 2011 and i send the cancellation request on 13 june reference no is shown above.

              Please rectify the bill other wise i ll not pay the any single rupees against this bill( B[protected]

                I am Jagadish existing customer from Pune, having Tikona connect upto August 2011 but when i am trying to login it is giving warning message Authentication failed, your connection is Terminated please contact customer care on[protected].

                when i called to customer care of Tikona, I was surprised to hear that on 11th June i called to Customer care team to terminate my service. I have few queries to mention at this point

                1) When i have already paid amount for a account upto August 2011, what is the need for me to terminate the service in between.
                2) I was Out of station on 11th June so i can't call the customer care.
                3) I haven't given any request to terminate niether by calling you nor written mail, I want to understand why my connection got terminated?
                4) This sounds me that you might received a fake call on 11th June 2011 from some one (Please trace that call and find that person)
                5) Either some one else given this request to terminate his account but by mistake they terminated my account.

                I loose confidence and don't believe in Tikona services any more.

                  On 11-jun-2011 (Saturday) - Demo Rep Mr. Shylendar Babu (mobile: XXXXX24650) came at 07:00 PM and should me a Demo and told Signal is 100% and he showed me 2MBPS speed in tikona site's using speed check link
                  I have also asked him whether the same speed will i get or this only for demo purpose you people are boosting your signals & later you reduce it?
                  Shylander Babu Promised: No Tikona Won't do that, also they cant do that
                  After his Assurance i made a cheque payment for 1433 RS.
                  Cheque Details:
                  Bank: HDFC Bank, ITC Center Anna Salai.

                  1. How can your Demo Rep give a False Promise (For Commision he Gets?) or Gemini staff is reporting False?
                  2. I need my Money Back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (Please deposit it back into my Same account HDFC Bank, ITC Center Annasalai A/C No: 000XXXXXXXXXXX)

                  Sir I am Waiting For your immediate action on this, i want call from the person who made false promise (That man is not even picking his phone 3-4 calls made) and he must ask sorry to me for his false promise.

                  Hi All

                  Eventough there was no response from any of the nodal officers

                  i kept on calling Mr. Shylendar babu (Person who came for Demo) & insisting him i paid after his assurance only, He went to his native place for a week so he said once he is back to chennai he will fix it for me, on 30-june-2011 he came to my home and installed the Tikona Antenna & Made the connection working, Speed is very good, i didn't post this update on 30-june-2011 because i thought checking the speed for atleast three days. Now i am Happy with TIKONA (but still 18 days for install is very costly)

                  It's resolved and working fine now,

                  The Same person who came for demo, installed tikona for me & its working fine for past two months except when it's raining i am not able to connect Tikona.

                  My concern is 18 days for installation is very costly + Why was there a conflict between Demo person & the person who came for installation?

                    Hi,
                    I took a post paid plan from Tikona broadband on 7-june-2011, they took advance money for my monthly use of internet and installation charges, but since I purchased plan I am not getting connect to internet. When I complaint for the same to their customer care they send their engineer and the person came to my flat and was saying modem installation was not is right place. After that I called them and mailed them but no reply came from their side , I need to register a case. please suggest me what to do..

                      I am a customer of Tikona Wi-Fi Internet. My Billing account No. is[protected]. From Sarurday 4th June, 2011 my connection was not working. We called on Tikona's Customer Care No.[protected]. They told us that their technical executive will call me withing half an hour. Next day I contacted again in this matter. The same words they repeated again and no calls from their part to rectify my problem. On 6th I faxed a letter to their Office at Bhandup. But no reply for that also. My follow-up was continued with their customer care department. But no action from their part. Finally on 10th I hand delivered a letter to the Managing Director regarding the problem. After submitting that letter they took action and rectified the problem by sending their technical executive.

                      But, I lost my goodwill of my customer due to this problem. I am also connected with may people. I asked compensation with Tikona's Nodal Officer and send emails to him. But no reply from him in this matter.

                      Therefore, you are requested to kindly help me to get the reasonable compensation from Tikona.

                            I am a customer of Tikona Digital Network. We pay charges for a month and get service for a week or two in a month. There are regular complaints to the Company and their technicians do respond but after follow up for atleast a week and then the service starts only to go off once again in five to six days. The service is horrible and very poor.
                            Tikona is the cheater and fraud company. If you have any issue go to the site www.pgportal.gov.in. This site is run by Department of Telecommunication (DOT). DOT provides licences to the ISP to start the bussiness. Log your complaint in this site.

                            The main objective of the portral is mentiotion below

                            i) With an objective of speedy redressal, fast access and effective monitoring of grievances, DoT has implemented an integrated application system; based on Web technology (CPGRAMS) which primarily aims at submission of grievances by the Citizens from anywhere and any time (24 x 7) basis for instant and easy communication between DoT & Citizens.
                            ii) The system facilitates generation o[censored]nique registration number upon the online submission of grievances from aggrieved citizens (to DoT) through internet using any Browser Interface.
                            iii) The system provides the online facility to the citizen to monitor the progress of redressal process in respect of the grievance lodged by him.

                              What kind of hopeless service are u providing???
                              Your call centre is a junk of fools.

                              Inspite of all the trailing mails and given communications to the Call centre , the serivce isnt deactivated and above that you shameless people are raising bills instead of de-activating the connection.

                              Lastly i again spoke to Mr.Ganesh at your CC on 6th June- evening approx 10:00 pm.
                              I reminded him of the deactivating request of mine given to Tikona more than one and half month back on mail and to the CC also.
                              He was answerless to my questions,Also he could not connect me to any senior person.

                              This is my last notice to you to de-activate connection,alongwith an apology letter for the harrasment cause by your sms'es .
                              Also send a F&F letter with no due certificate alongwith the receipt of the bill paid after the deactivation request was made.

                                Than many times I called Tikona call centre but everytime they demanded for one to two days to send back my docs...It was very surprising for me that the person Mr. Omprakash who assured me to provide better sevices, was not even picking my phone as hundred of times i called him...

                                I was surprised to get a message from Tikona on dated 10/05/2011 that my cheque was been presented by tikona into my a/c...on the same time I called customer care and complained that why they are presenting my cheque even they know that i was being already denied by tikona for broadband due to improper feasibility...but not get any positive response...so at that time i had to put stop payment request for that cheque becoz it was the only way was being provided to me by tikona...till date I also didn't get my docs back...

                                Now after a month, I got very big surprised when i got a call from tikona that my bill is due on dated 3/6/11 and they requested to me for paying the same...

                                Now Mr Nagesh, I just want to know...Is it possible to create Tikona a brand image in the country by providing such type of services..can u expect that I would prefer my friends & relatives to go for tikona...never...

                                Pls take a note about the feedback and suggestion for creating a brand image of tikona in customer mindset...

                                - First not to recruit guys like OmPrakash who not even know to serve their customer...only know to picking a connection for completing his target...
                                - Provide the same Modem to your engineer who is providing demo to the customer very first time...As currently they are having a different modem for giving demo...as his range his high so at the time of demo it works very well...Due to this if feasibility is not there than u can directly convey the same to the customer at that tme only...

                                  I gave a cheque of amount 1287/- To tikona broadband services for internet connection.But after cheque got cleared they started denying that their is no internet connection in my area, since than 2 months been passed but I have not got my money nor any internet connection.I have been dialing to their customer care on regular basis but every day they say we will refund you within 2 days but still now we havent received a single pie.

                                  Tikona — very hopeless comp not refunding moneyervices

                                  i booked a new connection of tikona on the 27th january2010 and was installed the same day but stopped working just after 1 hour.i have been complaining since then and also told them to disconnect the connection and refund me my money but i am only receiving new complaint nos.i also got a mail that i have been sent the bill(for the services i have not even used).kindly look into this matter and do something that more people like me do not get fooled by these useless companies
                                  Congratulations ! I have decided to pay up the Tikona bill of Rs. 274 inspite of not using your service for a single hour. In fact I will be paying Rs. 500+ Rs. 274= Rs. 774. The 500 rupees was the security deposit. I have attached the full and final settlement receipt for your reference.

                                  Congratulations to Tikona billing department for being persistent in sending bills on regular basis and charging interest at the rate of 120%. Indeed many many congratulations to the CFO of Tikona. It is an excellent business model- in modern electronic extortion. I hope you will give some management lessons in Harvard and other institues and explain the new MBAs how to run these types of businesses and make returns of 120%. Congratulations again.

                                  Congratulations to the customer service team for actually managing to shield up to 50 calls from me to reach the concerned person who can take action. Customer service team you are doing a wonderful job at not providing any customer service. I think you should ask your management for a raise. It has been truely frustrating experience to the customer which means that you have done a fine job

                                  Congratulations to the management team for hiring individuals in billing department and in customer service. They have done a tremendous job at not allowing any information to reach the management. The best part is that the management believe that everything is going well when it comes to customer satisfaction.

                                  May you all succeed in extorting more money from the customers. Also is Tikona going to come out with an IPO? I think I will try to see if I can buy some of your shares. I am really impressed with your business model. The best part is that it is legal

                                    am using TATA Photon plus for internet connectivty,but due to very less speed,I took another connection from TIKONA in the month of April,For first five days it was working very smoothly,but after that I have been struggling to get connected to the brad band service,After few days of waiting I been calling the customer care dept on [protected] but everytime they have been assuring it to be resolved in few days time.I have a bussiness through internet which I am unable to do it.My family has been suffering from this as electricity is used for the facility and the income expected to be generated has not been done due to failure of responding to the complaint on time. An executive from their company had collected a cheque from me for amount Rs1150/- on 13th sep 2010. After the cheque was debitted from my account, two engineers came to my place and informed me that due to technical reasons, they cannot install a connection at my house. And that I will get a refund of the money as the connection was denied from them and not from me.

                                      After calling their customer care several times, I got a refund, but only of Rs500/- I called them again to followup for the remaining refund of Rs 650/- They kept promising me of the refund, but till now they havn't.                                       my name is k.srinivasa rao last year i take the new tikona net connection on may 2012. i just used only one month and my office shifted to rural area. i apply disconnection our tikona connection and my id no: [protected], i deposited nearly 1500/- and may bill is 920rs local tikona executive person tell me sir u paid nearly 1500 i (-) the 920 amount. ok its every thing clear and iam happy and today tikona advocate person he tell me i need to pay 3800/- i asked the customer care the company not collect the tikona modern and i need to pay this amount . but tikona person already collect the modern the final bill everything also clear. but advocate he ask to me i need to pay final amount. iam not at all happy about the tikona company

                                        I subscribed to Tikona WI-BRO SERVICE in March 21st of this year. I was not getting any service from them (their network does not work) so I made several request/complains regarding limited connectivity. The company failed to resolve the issue so I put in a cancellation request in the very same 4th or 5th day after my subscription. They promised me the subscription will be canceled in a week's time. But after a week, the issue was still not yet resolved. On the 3rd of April I again mailed my cancellation request but the only response I got was that the request has been forwarded. I repeatedly mailed on 8th April and 12th April as well. Now, I got another bill from tikona for the month of April! Moreover, I m getting a lot of calls from Tikona to pay the bills, but they will not listen when I explained that I had put in cancellation request. Nor does their customer care phone number works, so I can even speak to a representative of the company. I m at a loss at what to do. Please help!

                                        Tikona WI-BRO SERVICE — ridiculous customer care & internet connectivity

                                        No resolution of my complaints of "problem in internet connectivity" and closure of complaints without notification, 4 times in a row in the last 2 months or so. Complaint numbers as follows -

                                        Inspite of putting my complaint at HIGH priority, they seem to close it without resolution on their own, and do not give the customer any notification.
