I took tikona braodband connection in mar 2015 and have been repenting this decision till date. I have been working abroad since then, but was paying their bills mostly in advance because sometimes my wife used to visit and stay in thane for few days. Every time, i visited india (Stayed abroad since 13 mar 2015 to 11 jun 2018), i had to struggle for two days calling them and following up with them to restore the service even after regularly and mostly in advance paying the bills sent by them. I am listing the factual position below: -
3. Details of payments made during last one year plus whose receipts are available with me are rs. 1000/- on 14 feb 17, rs. 234/- on 21 feb 17, rs. 1087/- on 08 mar 17, rs. 500/- on 20 apr 17, rs. 600/- on 22 may 17, rs. 885.30 on 11 aug 17, rs. 1000/- on 02 oct 17 and rs. 1000/- on 09 nov 17.
4. On 03 july 17, i sent a formal email to their customer care for disconnection of service because my wife also moved to stay with me abroad for next few months. Having got no reply, i followed up with another email on 5th july 17 requesting them to disconnect my service and collect their installed equipment. It is pertinent to mention that i am not aware of the location of the modem installed by them and the wifi router in use inside the house is my personal property bought by me online and they could have removed these without access to our apartment.
5. Having got no confirmation, i sent another email to them on 09 nov 17 requesting them to reconnect the services for 2 months as my wife was visiting thane for few days, in case the same was disconnected. Again, i got no reply and followed up with another email on 14 nov 2017. Even after this the only reply i got that the case has been closed after referring to technical team. Finally, my daughter living in delhi had to follow up with their customer care for two days before service was restored. Please note that i had made advance payment for these two months as detailed in para 3 (Rs. 1000/- on 02 oct 17 and rs. 1000/- on 09 nov 17).
6. Both self and wife went abroad in 1st week of jan 18 and before leaving, i had personally called and informed their customer care to disconnect the service. I was surprised when they again started sending me the bill from mar 18 onwards without we using their service, i decided to not pay any more amount. On returning back to india on 11 jun 18, i wrote a very polite mail to them on 13 jun 18 to restore the service and start the billing. I also wrote that i will not be paying the previous bill as the same is illegal and not for any service used by us. I followed up with two more emails, but having got no resolution, i opted for another service provided on 29 jun 18. As a veteran, while i follow the path of honesty and integrity, but at the same time i am trained not to accept wrongs. Please advise your client to collect whatever equipment he may have installed including if there is any item that he has installed inside the apartment. I also would like to mention that we received a call yesterday from someone claiming to be from karkarduma court in delhi and calling me insane for not paying the said illegal bill. I am still receiving these threatening calls like to day one mr dileep singh called to threaten that all my legal documents and property will be attached unless i pay the settlement bill as told to them. I did not agree to this and asked him to go ahead and file a case. Lets see what happens.
