[Resolved]  Tikona — sending bills and asking money even after disconnection notice

Tikona broadband was frequently disconnecting for more than 3 months and on 11 Jan 2019 I requested them to disconnect my service with immediate effect. Then I disconnected their cable from my router and on 15 Jan 2019 I reminded them again to disconnect my service with immediate effect.

While my monthly plan is 354/- rs and I had paid all their previous bills, to my surprise they sent me a bill of 1005/-. When I spoke to their helpline they (Vaishali) said it was a mistake in the bill and I had to pay just 82 rs to settle the final account. Accordingly I paid 82 rs 24 January. But soon after they said I had to pay 400+ rs more as I was using their Internet. This was ridiculous as how could I use their internet while the cable is disconnected and thrown.

Since then they have been sending me bills of different amount and calling me on daily basis asking for money. I told them to first send me the disconnection letter and then ask for any unsettled amount. But instead of giving a disconnection letter they are sending me emails charging me on Per GB basis (while there is no use at all) and calling me on everyday for various amount of money, sometimes Rs 300+ and sometimes Rs 400+ and keep on harassing me.

After giving a complaint against them about 2 weeks ago Tikona people called me up and said all the pending bills were adjusted and there was nothing more to pay from my side. But unfortunately they are again sending me notice to pay pending bills. Their latest bill amount Rs 474.56 has no base because I have already paid all their bills for the period I have used their Internet. I also paid Rs 82/- on 24 January which their executive told me to pay as a final amount.

Yesterday I got a legal notice from Tikona that I have to pay Rs 1500/- in case I fail to return the modem to them. But the fact is that Tikona people have already collected their modem and all other accessories from my house about a week ago. After receiving their equipments they should ideally send me an acknowledgement of receipt but instead they are sending me legal notice to pay Rs 1500 towards the modem.

I am also harassed the same way like you have been..
Same story... I have asked them many times to disconnect and they kept saying that its wrong bill and now they threaten me every month to pay what i have never used.
Check my screenshot of email they never replied but they call to threaten me.
What should i do?

To go back to history, on 20 Nov 2018 I had paid a full months bill in advance and on the same day (20th Nov 2018) I had given Tikona a notice to temporarily disconnect my Internet because I had to go out of the city for one and half months. When I came back to home on 6th Jan 2019 the internet was not working and after 4 days of internet problem I wrote them on 11th Jan 2019 to permanently discontinue my Internet. As I had already paid a month in advance there was nothing more to pay further. However their executive told me to pay Rs 82 as a final amount which I paid on 24 Jan 2019. Thereafter they are still troubling me by charging me various amounts of money.
