Had a harrowing experience in nov 2017 when i booked a uber and waited for more than 30 mins. I was able to trace that the driver on standby for long time and headed towards a different direction. I called the driver plenty of times but he was not picking up. No number o[censored]ber was available to complain.
I was not able to cancel bcos uber was charging me for cancellation. So, uber prevented me from cancellation, driver was not responding, uber didnt give any option to contact them completely putting me in helpless situation.
Finally driver cancelled after 30 mins when i ran and took a normal cab.
I am asking for inr 50 as cancellation fee from uber and inr 320 which i paid to the normal cab.
Uber is giving some lengthy info about their product, process... Finally they are sending mail that we have not received your complain... What a hypocrisy and ways of shutting down a customer complaint.

Booked a cab from inderpuri to igi terminal 3..the driver came after 20 mins of booking time and after that he used slangs and misbehaved with my mother and me.. And he asked me to cancel the ride.. I was talking politely all the time but he used slangs and shouted at me at the top of his voice.

    On 16th december 2017 i took a ride with uber and at the end of the trip driver took ra. 1018 in cash from me despite taking an additional 1018 rupees via paytm. I want my refund of rs. 1018. This is the most horrible thing you can do to consumer by charging double. I will go to consumer court if this is not settled. This is not the first time uber has done this.

    We the customer never choose the driver.Through internet it is done.but some times driver after hearing the destination they denied . several times it happens.for that we r suffering a lot.we could not reach our destination on time if we depend on uber.so during booking it should b done properly.

      Date and even time of charge is mentioned in the snapshot and this is the full line item from statement. Can you review the screenshots again and let me know what is missing so that i can help?

      These are pictures cut from paytm and hdfc bank statements. You skipped noticing the u icon in paytm snapshot and blue table representation in the hdfc bank statement. I am surprised you thought these are sms or text messages. Apart from these screenshots from the statements there is not other way i have to share more information regarding these transactions. I am attaching them again so that you can re-verify that these are not sms. Also, these screenshots have transaction ids listed which you can use to track in your system to find out if transaction happened successfully or not. Why are you not doing that? Why do you need screenshot when your system already has information on these transactions? ~raj

      Sorry to hear for the confusion.

      I've checked the screenshot sent by you, it is the texts you are getting about the charge which is not verifiable as per our policy. I would like to request you please send a latest screenshot of your bank/wallet statement reflecting this charge towards uber.
      Please note that sms messages are not considered a bank statement as they do not differentiate between a hold and a completed transaction.

      Uber India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
      Uber charged me with outstanding amount of 42 rs because of cancellation. The reason for me being canceling is drivers not arriving on the expected time plus not responding to calls. So can't wait for them to arrive at their time and that too during nonpeak hours midnight 3 a.m.
      Today from paytm wallet 748.55 Rs has been deducted and credited to Uber for the trip which i never took.And the trip details showing dated 22-Oct-2017 and driver name is Lokesh.I am trying to search the uber contact number or email id where i can report issue but not getting anywhere.Can someone provide me contact detail or email id o[censored]ber.

        Today i booked a cab in uber app! The expected timing was 15 mins so i was waiting and in few mins i called him to check where he is his phone was busy i was expecting and waiting for him. But i got the notification saying pay 30rs to continue booking because i was waiting in french loaf and looking at him in the map he was somewhere and he cancelled my booking i don't know what he did i have been charged 30rs. Then i again contacted the cab driver he spoke very arrogantly i asked him why am i being charged you didn't come and you didn't respond he keeps blabbering something and he told me do what ever you can do! Great job uber in recruiting people and training them you fame is well know

        Why does Uber send false promotion messages and then charge the customers the total amount without excluding the promotion off. In clear terms it is considered fraud and moreover zero support to handle such issues.

          I booked a cab early morning at 3.52 today and it was showing me a fare of 478. By the time i have completed my ride the total fare got revised to 560.73. If i consider this as a surge pricing also then i generally take ride from the same departure place to the same destination place and get charge correctly then why the price got increased this time. There was no waiting to driver and we have straight completed our ride and even there was no traffic as it was early morning.

          Please take prompt action against such illegal practice and help me get my money refunded back...

            Hi team, i unlocked 1 promo code in oct, 17 (Validity till dec, 17) of rs. 75 for making 5 trip payments using mastercard.
            I unlocked another promo code on 5-dec-17 of same amount (Rs. 75) for making 5 trip payments using mastercard. But after this, my first promo code got removed from my a/c.
            I never used the first promo code in any of my trip.
            I contacted uber many times, and each time the customer care representatives "diverted me to different topic" and never resolved the issue.
            Please help!

            Today i booked a cab from mazumdar shaw medical center to doddathogur. It showed me a fare of rs. 96.
            After completing the trip, i saw that the fare has become rs. 144 even though there was no traffic and no delay in entire trip.
            Driver picked me up in 5 mins and i reached home quickly still uber charged rs. 48 extra unfairly.
            Please take prompt action against such illegal practice and help me get my money refunded back.

                  In last 2 weeks, whenever i book uber what happens is that the driver starts the trip without picking up the customer.

                  It has happened 4 times and whenever we raise complaint with uber. The executive who call back are very rude.

                  Looks like uber is training drivers to do so and trying to cheat customers.

                  This is becoming a habit for uber and executive don't take any action. Infact are trying to blame the customers.

                  There are cases where the driver starts the trip immediately after getting the request even beforehing the pick up location to increase the fare.

                  Uber drivers are asking the mobile and telling the customers how to rate and give better rating without customers consent.

                  They force customers to get down from cab half way and take another cab if destination s far.

                  They even ask customers to get down n cross the road though we have booked it for opposite side.
                  Very bad service and becoming worse day by day.

                    Please refer to the above.

                    This is to inform you that myself ‘sudip das’, resident of 4, sreepur lane, p. O.- haltu, kolkata-700078, working in income tax department, govt. Of india. I have been using uber cab service, kolkata since last 01 year but the bad experience that happened with me at the night of 13th december 2017 was very astonished/shocking for me. The details of the incident are as under:-

                    01. That, on 13th december, 2017 around 11.00 pm, i booked an uber go cab destined from picnic garden mini bus stand to ramlal bazar bus stop from my mobile no. [protected].

                    02. That, i waited there nearly about 20 minutes or more along with my family members. After a long wait, i checked the location of the car on uber gps map and found that the car named maruti suzuki swift dzire vide cab no. Wb054786 is locating in the kasba area for a long time only and is not on the way to the pickup location.

                    03. That i called the driver dialling [protected]. I enquired about the exact location of the cab from the cab driver, mr. Shamim so that maybe i can help him out for finding the right location and told him that your car is moving in the kasba area only and not on the way to the picnic garden mini bus stand.

                    04. That, on the contrary, the driver was offended and replied loudly in a threatening manner and flatly refused to pick up us and told to cancel the trip and started misbehaving. When i told him that i will lodge a complaint against him for his behavior/attitude to uber, he shouted on me and started verbal abusing & slang languages related to my mother without any coercion/aggression from my side, which i cannot express in words.

                    05. That, the conversation between me and the driver, mr. Shamim has been recorded via call recorder along with the screen shot of the driver’s profile that kept under my custody and it attracts electronic evidence under section 65b of the indian evidence act, 1872 if needed.

                    06. That, the behavior/attitude of the uber cab driver was very humiliating for me and for my family and cause mental cruelty to us.

                    07. That, these kind of behavior is highly unwarranted, uncalled and put up a question mark on the professionalism that follows by the uber.

                    08. That, mr. Shamim has, therefore committed an offence and invoked section 504 ipc, and other sections as applicable that attracts mental cruelty/harassment for which he is liable to be prosecuted and punished.
                    09. That, mr. Shamim has failed to do his duty without any valid reason and refused to pick us which has been done by him malafidely, intentionally, deliberately and knowingly.

                    10. That, it also a matter of women security and safety by which an un-professional and violent driver kept in danger by threatening and denying to pick up me, my mother and sister at the night of dark winter session near a highly sensitive picnic garden area, kolkata.

                    11. That, therefore, it is my humble request to take an appropriate and strict action in this regard at your end and intimate me in mail/writing accordingly.

                    12. That, the details of cab booking, driver’s profile and other information is enclosed herewith.

                    13. Your co-operation is highly solicited.

                    In response to Complaint Id. 1808789, this is to inform you that already one week over, still i didn't get any response from UBER yet. Most of the contact numbers, email address ([protected]@uber.com, [protected]@uber.com) provided by UBER are fake, invalid & non-functional. Even, I sent a Complaint letter alongwith screenshot of the Driver profile & a CD contaning recording of the conversation between me & the driver by speed post (Tracking Id. EW[protected]IN) to UBER Office, Kolkata but it has returned back due to insufficient address. I tried to contact with UBER by all possible ways but could not communicate. You are requested to take strict action in this regard.

                      I took a ride on wednesday 1312/2017 at about 1.28 am. Trip was from new market area to 13/8 tara moni ghat road. I did not had change... Thus gave the driver a rs. 2000/- note and was waiting for a change, he took the money and i was waiting outside the window. The driver closed the window and i started shouting but it was quite late night and roads were empty... The driver speeded the car and ran away with my money. I tried to write to uber but i did not knew the procedure. The details is mentioned here. Pls help.

                        Worst behavior from the uber driver i had ever faced. I booked uber for my old parents from my home to chennai central railway station. He had reached the destination some few meters from my original destination and he didn't call me, i myself called him and confirmed and i told him that i would reach him in few min but he neglected me and just went away and he cancelled the trip. He didn't even manage to call me before leaving when i tried again i was blocked. At last my parents had to take an auto instead. Please take necessary action against the uber driver. Also they have charged me rs.30 for someone's mistake. A new way of business ah.

                          I have booked two taxis from two different uber accounts on 9/11/2017 for subroto park (From kiran garden, uttam nagar) because we r six members both taxis showed me fare of rs 129/-. We took drop at subroto park and paid 129 cash to one taxi and this one was connected to paytm so driver told me 129 will be deducted from my paytm but to my surprise after half an hour of drop i got message that my drop was hauzkhas which is very far from subroto park and 586 was deducted from my paytm account, i couldn't believe that instead of 129 how can u charge me 586 which is five times the amount. This is a clear case of fraud and cheating. I have reported this matter many a time but didn't get answer most of the time. This is not the first time i am facing problems from uber. I have multiple instances which i am definitely going to raise. I want my hard earned money back.

                            Yesterday i had booked a uber from bangalore airport to my residence. After waiting for 17 min for the cab and twice complaining to the uber representative the driver suddenly cancelled the trip. I once again booked another uber and departed but found the driver is taking me to wrong address. I told the driver i have to go to indiranagar and not similar address in hebbal. He showed me the address he had received from uber. I then rechecked my booking and found i had put the correct address but for some reason the uber app had sent wrong address to the cab driver. I showed it to the driver sunil and he agreed to change the drop point and brought me home. When i checked uber had deducted cancellation fees from my paytm wallet for the previous booking. I immediately put in request to refund the cancellation fees since driver had cancelled and got message that uber had refunded the fees but i have checked several times but the money has not come. I know it is not uber intention to cheat customers but due to uber app issues uber is cheating and not returning money.

                              Please note that i had booked an uber number 0201driver name madhukar, at 8.40am in the morning. It was very impt for us to reach the destination as my daughter had to appear for an exam on time, the trip was cancelled at the last moment by the driver, without considering the time lost and the other driver named raj was very arrogant and said he would reach only after 25minutes. Then i called madhukar the previous driver to know the reason of the cancellation. To which he sheepishly replied that he could not understand the location. Now, this is the height o[censored]nprofessionalism. You people send drivers who do not the way, the driver cancels the trip, you assign another driver zabardasti to us who takes ages to come, which compels us to cancel the trip, and upon that, you have the audacity to levy cancellation charges.
                              Shame on you guys, i urge you to look into the matter, train your stupid no-sense-of-way rude drivers, and immediately calloff the unjust cancellation charges levied on me.
                              I need a reply and immediate call off.

                                Toll fare was wrongly included in the bill / receipt generated by uber. Even after uber acknowledging the issue they denied to alter the receipt and refund appropriately.

                                For this reason, the cash you've exchanged with your driver is considered to be outside uber's platform and, unfortunately, we'll be unable to compensate you for the same. Next time, make sure you only pay the driver what has been reflected in your upfront fare.

                                Are you even reading my response? I didnot pay for the toll in cash. It is included in the receipt under tolls head. Which receipt are you referring to? Send me the receipt you are seeing at your end.

                                As stated earlier, the toll that you're referring to has not been recorded on our platform and the cash that you've exchanged with your driver is considered to be outside o[censored]ber's platform.
                                To avoid such hassles, we always recommend that you pay your driver-partner only the fare that is shown on his device, in case of a cash trip. If it's a non-cash trip, you do not have to pay your driver anything in cash.

                                You had misunderstood the issue. I didn't pay for the toll. It is included in the receipt. However the route didn't have any tolls. Please verify the receipt to understand whether toll was included r not.

                                I understand that you paid towards a toll charge on this trip. After reviewing your trip, i see that there was no toll charged from our end for the route you have taken. Unfortunately, this means that i will not be able to reimburse you for this expense.
                                In the future, keep in mind that all toll charges will be included in your upfront fare. Should you pay for a toll en route, please be sure to collect the receipt at the toll gate.

                                  As per my complaint uber have to refund cancellation charges of rs. 30 twice & rs. 43 charged. Total rs. 103, instead of that uber confirmed that only rs 30 refunded. Balance amount is still with them.
                                  Today 15th december, i booked uber from bangalore east railway station to my house. I got a confirmation that william in mahindra kuv 100 will reach in 6 minutes. I waited for more than 20 minutes and tried to reach driver several time and he was not responding. As per uber app map he was driving to opposite directions stopped the vehicle so far from pick up location, then no movement. I'm forced to cancel as tough for me to wait more than that. Uber charged me rs. 43 as cancellation charge which is due to driver unprofessional approach.

                                    I had booked a uber ride on 13th dec 17 for bangalore airport drop. Driver intentionally took wrong route due to that i missed my flight as the route was very long and had huge traffic so i could not reach airport before my boarding time. I booked cab 3 hours before from my boarding time and generally it takes 1 hour 15 minutes to reach airport from my residence. I complaint about this in uber to compensate my flight ticket charge and cab ride charge but they are not entertaining it. As it was the complete fault o[censored]ber driver due to i missed my flight so i wanted them to compensate. As it was intentional fault o[censored]ber driver so uber should compensate this loss. Kindly help to recover my loss from uber. Here is the ride details.

                                    I have attached my ticket details and ride details with response I got from Uber. I had to bear loss of INR 9000 and this should be compensated by uber as it was complete fault of its driver.

                                      unfair deduction of fare amount

                                      1) on 14th dec 2017, i had booked uber from mylocation jp nagar to majestic bus stand at around 4:25am.
                                      2) within minutes or so i got a call from the driver via phone number:[protected] at 4;28am, but the driver suddenly hangup
                                      3) i immeditaely called the driver on the same number, the driver picked up and asked about destination details and said he will come at my place asap.

                                      I booked my uber ride on dec 12th at 10.11pm from law college road pune to azad nagar pune - driver chaitanya tata indica mh12nx1037... Mob no.[protected]. He called me and asked me where i wanted to be dropped and said he would arrive in 5 mins, i waited for 30 mins calling him every 5 mins but his phone was switched off. He did not arrive nor cancel the ride. I had to call an ola to take me home.
                                      1. Y is there no number to call when your drivers behave like this?
                                      2. How come i have to pay a cancellation fee when your driver has defaulted?
                                      3. While booking my uber the amount shown to me was rs.251/-, after reaching my destination i had to pay rs.315/- why? Please explain this increased amt in my fare.
