I ordered pizza on march 1, 2020 (Order id - [protected] from pizza hut) and within 5 minutes i intended to cancel it. My problem started with the chat bot zomato uses. Even the first time i used it selected incorrect option.in 5-10 minutes you think the order is prepared by pizza hut? And in my order was a chocolava (Which i am sure, they must have prapred in bulk and if i cancel the order, goes to the next one and a soft drink, which again i am sure will go to the next person). For packaged food also you are looting us? And top it, zomato doesn't have a "human" behind it's chat bot and allows us to select only their options given which might not be enough.
This whole process is a mess for any customer, trying to place an order for the food they are going to consume. This chat bot and zomato together are looting customers. Take a cancellation fee, if someone travelled to pick up the food, take the cancellation fee (I am absoultely fine for taking a fee for wasting someone's time and effort). But this order was cancelled erronelously in the first place and within 5 minutes. A pick up was also not arranged. Just because pizza hut accepted the order, does zomato have the right to take away my complete money? Hell no! And there is no human to talk and explain the problem to.
First do not use chat bot -
Second, increase the automatic responses you have and the space between options available? While, using a touch-phone when we select one option the other gets selected.
Have a confirmation in place and reiterate that this is what a customer wants and in case of no refund - put it in some block letters that we are looting your money and you will not get it back!,
This way, we do not assume that it's a usual message. Pathetic zomato., absoultely pathetic.
