Hi,
This is in regards to tax.
The tax that zomato is charging is too high. I tried purchasing a burger from mcd from zomato of 160 in that 73 rs is added as a tax that means that single burger was costing me around 233 rs. Is this the way of charging tax. What the hell. This would be taken seriously and action should be taken against zomato.

    Hello i ordered paneer biryani (Order no. [protected]) from zomato (Restaurant name - mynt 15) on 30th march around 8:20pm and it got delivered to me on 8:50pm and as soon as i received the order i opened it to have it and to my surprise it was smelling like the food has been made from drain water it was very bad, it was the paneer which was stale and rotten.

    So i complained regarding this to zomato and i asked them to refund my money but their behaviour is very rude (Have attached the screenshot of the converstion) as the executive was not ready to listen my concern and he was giving lame excuses saying it's against our policy it will affect my job and when i asked him to take a complain regarding this and share with me so a senior can help me out, to my irony he denied to take a complain also.. How on hell can you behave like this with your customers?
    They were behaving as if i have eaten the food and just for some money i am doing a fake complain, i repeatedly asked them to take back the food and refund me my money but to that also they are saying it's not possible (Why it's not possible if you don't believe your customers you should start this also and accordingly you should refund the money if the case is genuine).
    To my surprise thought it was their mistake and they were not agreeing to refund my money i asked them to settle it by giving zomato money (In zomato wallet) but he didn't agreed and refunded me in form of coupon (As if he was doing a favour) as if i paid them via coupon i paid them my hard earned money so they should refund me in my bank account but the executive was showing me arrogant behaviour and was not listening to me.

    I want to bring into your knowledge how they are trying to cheat the customers by not providing the proper after sale service (As they don't have customer care no. And they don't take any complains or do any refund) the coupon they are providing me is of 94rs which i paid for biryani and the coupon can be used for next order, but if you see in zomato there are always 40%-50% off discount coupons available which is applicable on almost all restaurant listed in zomato, so either way i can use this 94 coupon provided by them or coupons available in zomato (Screenshot attached)..in short if you see they are hardly refunding me 10-15rs.
    I didn't expect this behaviour from zomato, i am here not for 94rs it's not a big deal.. I am here so that you can learn a lesson and you can know how your executives behave with your customers, how poor your after sale service and policies are and how you waste your customer's energy.
    From past three or more years i have made every order from zomato and was very frequent user but you behaviour has changed my mind and in future will try to use swiggy.

    Sir please look into this matter as i want refund for my order not coupons as the problem was from zomato (Or restaurant) end why should customer suffer and sir please take some legal actions if possible because they are behaving like gangster or goons or con man as before delivering the order they are taking the money and they are not refunding the money also if they are not delivering what they promime.

    It's been a week and you can see how irresponsible zomato team behaves they don't even have courtesy to look over the matter and provide a solution to it.

    As you can see they have no interest in after sale service they are not even bothering to reply or contact.. it's been already more than 15 days

      Food provided was not edible it had a funny smell and when i tasted it, the food was very bad in taste and when i told the customer service and asked for a refund i was said that can't happen i asked them the reason they said we just cannot. It is zomato responsibility if they are partnering up with restaurants to see if the quality of food is atleast edible enough.

We are facing very much problems regarding food. Like me, there are many other students stuck here. There are many colleges here and 11th 12th std students who have come here for preparation.         I ordered Mutton Dal gosth from Lovely Chinese from Zomato and I was delivered chicken, resturant number is not working, On chat the operator left half way need refund of 662 Rupees
        I ordered on 1st March 2020 food from durvankar family restaurant. Payment done by debit card. After sometime order rejected but money deducted. I got message money will be refunded in 3-7 working days but not yet refunded.

          Hi Team,

          I have ordered from Dominos on 22 nd march 2020, I was waiting to the order and then I got call from the delivery boy that police has stopped him and requested me to pick up the deliver where he was stopped. I was not having any vehicle so I denied and said him to cancel the request if he is not able to come. I got a msg to give reason for cancellation. so I updated on the link and thought the order is cancelled and expecting refund to done in next few hours as it usually get refunded. I then checked next afternoon and immediately called the customer care that it is showing delivered and but the order is not delivered. The representative stared saying you should have aske us earlier and not we cant do any thing. I also called the delivery boy he said that the delivery is not delivered.
          I followed up with this person but no result.

          They excuse that they call me twice but no reply from my side, so cancelled the order. But while order they never warn about the same, and I am available on given address, but can't reach on my destination.
          Now I want refund and additional money spent because I order from another app.

              Hi team,

              I see there is a wrong order selected by the system i ordered tawa pulao but system has captured babycon manchurian i did not see the order details when i received the order at that time i am seeing it.. So please do help me with this...

              As a one-time exception please help me i hope you will help me without saying no

              As i mentioned in earlier mail i did not see the order details once delivery guy came and delivered i saw the order and came to know this..

              I know it's very much difficulty for u to take a decision but you have to believe it customer s words also right..

              As i am saying that i ordered tawa pulao but i don't how it changed to manchurian..

              Will anyone be interested to eat other than what you have ordered. Here my situation is the same i ordered one but what i have received is different please don't say no or don't say u won't have any solution to help here i want some sort of compensation..

                Payment done didn't get the order.
                I made an online payment yesterday for my order it showed transaction failed but my account got debited and the message said that it has been credited to Zomato account but I have still not got the refund

                  I paid 102 for order number [protected] to zomato via googlepay and money was deducted from my account, but zomato didn't place my orders neither have they refunded my money. I have contacted them several times but they told me they didn't receive money due to gateway failure and that i should contact my bank. On contacting bank i got to know that money was sent to zomato's account.

                    I have ordered chicken biryani from jashn biryani bawarchi in bengaluru and also i have specified the instructions which they did not follow also i have tried many times to call the restaurant but they didnot respond. Finally we got the food but it is not hot and is foul smelling, my friend got food poisoned and admitted to hospital. I can sue you people for this careless behaviour. Definitely i am going to take this issue seriously!!!

                    Twice zomato had updated fake delivery status and updated the orders as delivered but i never received it. 4 times in last one month they had replied that refund is processed but never received the refund. Even i asked for refund reference number but they never provided. In one order delivery executive picked up order and in other one not.
                    My credit card has been charged for an amount of rs.1551 by Zomato media Pvt. Ltd. I would like to know the purpose of the same as I never applied for any kind of membership. Kindly get back to me on [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]
                    I have ordered rava dosa but sambar is missing. How should I eat it. I want a refund for this.

                      My husband working in zomato delivery boy job. But he is not eating and not coming after 12 hours. This is serious issue. Don't give order 11. Still he is not coming to home. His working time 11am to11pm. Now time is 2 am alone with my baby. What to do? Pleasecheck this issue and resolve soon. It will helpful for me and other delivery boy. He can't manage life and job. Hope you understand.

                        As per fssai the registration of home bakers is aslo a must to ensure health and hygiene of foods being supplied. The instructions have been given to zomato and swiggy, to not to deliver food from vendors that are not registered with fssai.
                        They are delivering ckes from ' cake cafe' whose whatsapp no is[protected], as displayed on the sign board installed at kc 52 b ashok vihar delhi.
                        It is dangerous for the health of people especially when there is endemic of corona virus

                        Zomato immediately needs to stop delivering their cakes and pastries

                        Delivery cancelled...still not getting refund
                        One of our food item was missing and when asked to the valet named Proyash Jyoti Dutta his behaviour was rude. Luckily the restaurant manager was known to us from where we have ordered the food in ZOMATO and when we called him he told that he personally checked and packed all the items and later when we called the valet guy, he blocked our number.
                        I had ordered from ovenstory. Order number [protected]. The order was cancelled by ovenstory but it's showing delivered on zomato. Please look into it and process my refund ASAP.

                            I have ordered food from belgian waffle &co. On zomato. Amount of rupees 165.01 was deducted from my google pay account.. But zomato shows that the transaction is incomplete and doesn’t deliver me food... This is not the first time i’m facing this issue... Screenshot of the payment details are provided.

                              Food was ordered through 'zomato' from our home by my daughter using app in her mobile phone, and payment was done using my credit card on dec 07, 2019. But, the food was not delivered, and when complained through chat, refund was promised. But, even today, no refund is received. Contacted (Chat) 5 times so far, each time they 'assure', 'promised',... Refund.

                              Few extracts from their response in chats are given below:

                              Dec.07, 2019: “do not worry, you will get the amount. :)”. “your full amount is added in your source account from which you have paid”. “it will come in 5-7 business days. : (“. “i am sorry for this situation. :)”

                              Dec. 28, 2019: “the order was cancelled due to wrong address by the rider management team”. “yes, i understand but process got delayed due to high number of cases”. … “i have mark escalation again and refund will be initiated with in next 24 hoours and same will be settle by your bank with in next 2-7 working days.”

                              Feb.16, 2020: “track id ztd-19-…. Transaction status succeded amount...”. “here is payment status.”

                              Feb. 23, 2020: “you will get the refund in 24-48 hours”. “i will make the refund reach you as fast as i can”. “please be assured this time :)”. “i apologies to you for the delay in refund”

                              March, 7, 2020: “i have done what i could do the best for you. :)”. “our team will refund your money”

                              I hereby inform zomato that their customer care service is pathetic. Within 5 minutes of getting my food delivery i informed the zomato that i received an bad order. Food was in bad condition.. i informed the same to from where the food came.but they said we gave it in right condition to zomato rider. At last I didn’t get my order back or refund.

                              Ordered a cake through Zomato(Ali's Cakes and Bakes) for my uncle on his birthday to surprise him .
                              Received the cake in a very bad condition. Highly disappointed. Want a refund.

                                I ordered food for my family and after 1 hour they cancelled my order saying my number is not reachable. I called thier delivery boy multiole times and he was speaking to someone else. Then i raised a complaint and provided the screenshot of the call history that i havnt received any call but i called him multiple times still they are saying they cant refund my money, seriously? And i contacted restaurant as well, even they didnt get the food back. What is the zomato policy when food is not delivered to him by any reason? They allow deliveru boy to have it or it has to be return to restaurant?

                                I ordered food online and paid online money but accidently the address got a bit changed 2-3kms away from location and zomato chat was also not working. Now the delivery person ia not delivering it to the address.

                                  I didn't get any message or call from zomato team. I don't know how they mentioned as it's closed.

                                  I hav ordered food from hari sandwich today 9-3-2020 around 8.40 but one of d item is not delivered but already i have paid the bill. I couldn't contact customer care about this.

                                    I want to complain against zomato with there team members and staff that they denying of my money refund. Order id -[protected]. I ordered dish to singla's restaurant after 30 minutes so many followup with restaurant and zomato guys they are still blank and denied to take around 1 hr. So for the late delivery i cancel the order now m asking for my money refund they denying they will not to do so.

                                        This email is with reference to my order no. 219 with mobile no. [protected] (Bikanervala, janakpuri) placed through zomato on 13/03/2020 for rs. 414.25/=. I would like to highlight the following points for necessary and immediate course of action:
                                        1. The said product was delivered to me in a terrible packaging from bikanervala and the food was almost popping out from the foil.
                                        2. More than half of the shahi paneer costing around rs. 260/= was leaked in the paper bag and the paper container of shahi paneer was broken / tampered from behind causing this leakage and the naan, butter roti, aloo kulcha, roti missi, bill, onion was covered with the gravy of shahi paneer.
                                        3. The taste and quality of other items were deteriorated due to this leakage which can cause a serious ill health to the bonafide customer.
                                        4. I have attached the image of the leaked shahi panner in the package for your reference and for a immediate and necessary action.
                                        5. I am a new customer of zomato and this was my first and the last order as this kind of service is not expected from bikanervala and zomato.
                                        Through this email i hereby inform the concerned department to immediately refund or replace the order. Till then, the customer has put on hold any further purchase from bikanervala and zomato.
