Dear Sir,

I requested for a new connection on May 5th. and they asked for payment and I have paid them Rs.800/-.

Next day their technician came and said there is no empty port at the box so not possible to give connection. I asked them to refund my 800 rupees. They asked to call customer care and raise a complaint. But they did not give me my amount back and when I call customer care, they keep on saying it will be refunded. But they did not refund. and one more thing they have generated an invoice for payment and asking me to pay the extra. They did not give connection itself and asking me to pay the extra amount.

    I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the internet connection provided by your company in my area.

    In your brochure you had mentioned that your company uses technology that guarantees uninterrupted internet connection. However, this does not seem to be true.

    Many people – including me – have been facing poor connectivity problems for a few weeks. Sometimes we can’t connect to the internet. At other times, the connection is ridiculously slow.

    As you know, a lot of people now work from their homes. They need a stable internet connection to maintain their productivity. Because of poor connectivity, they can’t send finished assignments to their clients on time. This affects their credibility as a freelancer. Frequent disconnections also affect people who do video conferencing online. If they get disconnected frequently, it affects their work.

    If you so value the customers then request you to permanently rectify the frequent disconnection in Journalist’s Colony, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Almost 40-50 families are facing the same issue almost every 2 days. We are sick of raising tickets. Even customer care is not responsive.

    I don’t understand what as a company you are going to acheive upsetting such huge number of customers.

    If you do have monopoly in this area, please realize it does not take much time for us to shift to other services someday.

      My customer id[protected] and request was raised to shift the connection to new location.
      The connection to new registered location was not rendered and was forced to suspend the service by the retention team leaving out a lame reason that connection feasibility is not available in the prescribed address whereas the closed ticket subject says "INTERNET NOT REQUIRED AT NEW LOCATION"
      I wonder feasibility intermittent problem and internet not required (this is like stated by customer but the problem is with network provider)are one and the same.
      it was very frustrating in dealing with customer care assistants as they delay the service as late as possible and closed the request my request without any intimation.
      For the last 20 days(Request was raised on 1st of JULY) I've been calling on a regular basis and requesting them to establish a connection to new address
      And also there is huge confusion in the address provide by me(it is Ekkatuthanghal, gandhi nagar extension, chennai) but the address which they are handling for my request is different(Adampakkam, chennai)
      i don't even have clue why they address the problem for this(Adampakkam) location instead of ekkatuthanghal.

      The customer care service is very awful, the loss in service for last 20 days was not at all taken serious by any of the customer representative.

      The Retention department is also irrreponsible instead of considering my problem and escalating it, they insisted me to close the connection without taking proper action and left me with no choice but to close the network.
      But i was so sure not to give up and double checked with the sales executive who established connection earlier.
      He then told me that there is sure possibility for a connection in area where i have re located.

      So i Re opened my ticket again and asked for proper explanation and a connection with hel of this sales executive.
      i have been told by Retention team (Manimeghalai, chennai who addressed me twice but no definite solution was addressed till now) the connection will be made after checking the feasibility but to my frustration again
      it is still a delay.
      and this is my worst customer care experience with the network i have ever taken.
      such an irresponsible customer support.
      I demand a compenstaion for loss in service for 20 days and please provide a better solution in establishing network to the earliest or please stop the service permanently with a valid justification and refund back my money for which i have made payment for 6 months.

        I have been a customer of ACT Fibernet for almost 2 years now with customer ID[protected]. In the last one month period, I have experienced service disruption for 6 times. And every time, the ACT team has taken around 24 to 48 hours to resolve the issue. I have spoken to customer service to have a permanent resolution for no vial and I have e-mailed their respective nodal officer and as well the appellate authority and no one responded to me on this matter.           I have requested a connection for Chennai area. I have been getting calls from ACT person to get a new connection and she kept on calling me until i said a YES to them. I have informed them about my locality and wanted to get the connection sooner which she informed is fine and activation will be done within a day or two. On 14th July, I confirmed to get the new connection and by noon one person came to collect the amount from me. Same time one person who introduced him as installation team member to come for installation. I was so happy that everything is abrupt. Once registration is done and amount is taken installation team member came, he did check something and informed us its late and he is need of other team members to do the wiring. He promised us to come on Sunday 12 PM. On Sunday when we called him by that time he gave some other number telling it is not his area of service. We called that person and he was also telling same. Around 3-4 guys we called that day with the numbers given by each of them and all of them were telling it is not their area of service.
          The person who called me to give a new connection is not right now picking up the call and so far around 3-4 times I have called customer care to which they tell it will happen next day, same goes with their helpdesk and nodal officer mail as well. I feel they have some auto generated email for all the emails they sent and noone is checking the same. It is the 4th day and there is no response from them.
          We are frustrated to the core with the behavior of ACT team. Very much disappointing.
          Everything is sooner until they get the money and after that they dont care about customers.
          Highly dissatisfied with the customer service.

            This issue is to report the worst kind of services from ACT. There is absolut

            History of the issue:
            - There is no internet from June 1st onwards. The reason is the ACT box is removed from somewhere.
            - Till 15Jun ACT team tried to install new Box and could not find any place for installation.
            - Then ACT team told me that they will disconnect the connection since they could not find place for Box installation.
            - ACT member told that the fee will be half for that month due to no internet which will be around Rs.350 he told. (per month bill is Rs.797)
            - After this in Jun last week, I got call from ACT saying that they found place for box installation and asked whether I would like to re-connect.
            - I agreed for re-connection and ACT told that the internet will be working from July 1st onwards. (Actual promise date provided by ACT is from Jun28th itself the reconnection will work.
            - But internet is not working and I called ACT customer care.
            - Jul 1st week, ACT technician came and checked the box and wires and left. He did not fixed the issue. After this no update also.
            - Then again 2 days back I called again ACT customer care (waiting for long time on phone and explaining the same issue again).
            - Then Another technician called me next day asking what happend. I told him the situation again. I dont know whether he visited my house or not. I asked him how come he is calling me without knowing the issue from ACT team.
            - Then on 13-Jul night technician named Manju has come to my house and fixed the internect. So from 14th-July I am receiving internet.
            - Menawhile I get lot of messages from ACT saying the bill due of Rs.1389. ACT people included the amount of another month also with no common sence that there is no internet connection at all.
            - I informed Customer care and teachnicians about this billing issue, I sent lot of mails to Nodal, Appallete ACT Officers, but no use. No response nothing...
            - I am getting messages that my connection will be disconnected due to payment issue and I informed the same to ACT officers. But no response again.
            - 17-July I received message that internet is disconnected as i did not pay the amount.

            This is the whole history and pathetic situation of ACT team. I will get messages only for money, but there will not be any calls for fixing the issue. Money is more important for ACT rather than fixing the issue. You people only said you will disconnect the connection since no box installation and again you people only called me saying you found box and you will reconnect. I did not asked you or forced you to reconnect. But there is no proper work done. There is absolutely no coordination between technicians and customer care team. ACT people dont know what they are doing among themselves. They want money looting people. Earlier in Jan2018 also I faced same kind of issue with no internet for 10days and at that ACT did not even reduced any amount. Worst kind of people and worst services.

            Update to the issue: I got response from ACT Nodal Officer saying to pay the Bill now and later they will adjust the amount. How can I pay the amount without internet for almost 45 days. Is this ethical to ask me to pay with no Service provided? Is this the way ACT work? Very pity to see this kind of response from ACT. Based on my experience with ACT (Customer care or Nodal officers not responding anytime properly) I dont have any trust on ACT and I dont believe that, my money will be adjusted later once the payment is done. Once payment is done, ACT people will not bother anything and all my calls or messages will be waste. Even after seeing disastrous service from ACT. The actual amount that should be charged only for 15 days which is for last month and should be around Rs.400 which is half of 797 per month. So first make this correction.

              I sought for ACT internet facility and the Engineer instructed me to make online payment for 6 months rental of Rs 7498 without checking feasibility of installation. Later the Technical department mentioned that installation cannot be done in my building.
              I reached out to them for refund. It has been over a month now and have still not received refund.

              I have the same complaint. It's been 75 days since I paid the amount. They said there is no option to give connection and raise a ticket to get the refund. Still, I did not get the refund amount. It's the worst service provider.

                pathetic service and unresponsive customer care

                I have been facing internet problems for 2 months now. Innumerable calls to customer care with false promises everytime. They even took money to replace the modem, but neither did we get the modem nor any resolution from them. And whenever we call the customer care they never forward the call to any manager or higher authority, and keep giving false promises.
                2 months is a very long time to solve any issue, atleast provide the money...

                July 2018 update.

                Worst service provider. So unprofessional and liar and cheater. words are less for them.

                Even small cable operator is more professional and committed to his words, but they are worst liar.

                Dont even go for them if you want peace of mind. They were unable to install connection even after 10 days. And they keep saying that it will be installed by tomorrow, which never comes. For taking money, their executive was very fast and came to me within one hour after call, that too at night 8:45 pm.

                And for installation, he is not even picking up the calls or responding to messages. Such a group of liars and cheaters.

                They think they are the king in the market. Let Jio come, and show them their true worth. Only then they will understand the true value of customer.

                DONT EVEN CHOOSE THIS ACT FIBERNET. WORST CUSTOMER CARE. WORST PROFESSIONAL SERVICE.

                  Hi,

                  There has been frequent disconnections since the day I have taken act connectivity.

                  Either someone would remove the connectivity from junction box or the fibre cable is disconnected from hub.

                  I have been repeatedly raising complaints and the issues keeps persisting.

                  And the service is very bad and issues are not resolved immediately. And I have to wait minimum 40 mins to talk to customer care.

                      I am from hyderabad want my ACT fibernet broadband to be disconnected from 9th july 2018 as I am shifting from hyderabad. I am unable to contact customer care as the customer care services are said as unavailable and the toll free number is not working either. I have sent mails to customer care, nodal officer and appellate authority too but I am not sure if and when I could expect response from them. I cleared all my dues and hence disconnect the broadband provide me with the details and the receipts of the amount to be cleared, if any, that is held with the company, as paid at the the time of connection.

                        I raised a support ticket to get my ACT connection [censored]ed within Bangalore. I did not get any callback or update for a week. Called the customer care multiple times, getting the same reply that 'An executive has been assigned to your support ticket and it will get resolved max by tomorrow'. This went on for another 3-4 days. Found out the destination area manager's contact number and called him. Reached out to the executive, who now says that destination address proof is required. This information could have been shared earlier itself over the multiple calls I made to the customer care. Very unprofessional service.

                          It is not a good experience with ACT this time as I was trying the reactivate my connection at a new location. I had disconnected the service with connection number #[protected] due to some personal reason and my deposit was still with ACT and they explained me when you need a new connection at any other location at any time, your deposit will be used for that and it will be free of installation charges. I moved to Narayanapura from BTM layout Bangalore and raised the request (#4968734) to reactivate my connection. It is a horrible experience since then, the customer executive called me and explained me that the connectivity is available in the area and to remit some advance amount but when i explained him that there is deposit already with ACT, he disconnected the call and there is no response from him later, i even called the customer care department and she replied that the team will get back in two hours and no one came back. Just for you guys, no wonder i had experienced a high speed internet when i was using the ACT connection but when it comes to service, they have got really inexperienced and irresponsible guys as their customer executives and i had several painful experiences even when i was using their service. I am actually waiting for another two to three days for them to resolve the situation and if nobody called me back, i am decided to go for AIRTEL Broadband which is also reasonably good.

                            Act has managed to make changes to the fup where in they cut bandwidth for uploads as well. If you keep your system overnight with a seed box. You tend to lose all your fup in a single day. The speed goes down to 512kbps where in even webpages dont load on screen properly. According to trai there has been a revision of minimum speed where in it should be 2mbps instead of 512kbps. I have lost all my fup due to this and when spoke to customer service to resolve the issue they have asked to take a better plan or pay more for flexibytes. Its a damn scam and it seems like an anti-consumer move made by act as they never had a cap for uploads. The excuse is that they have increased the fup of the existing plans. I have cancelled the connection, however i have not received any sms with regards to the cancellation. I will call them tomorrow once again to check and see if the service has been cancelled. I have been a customer of the service since 2006 or 2007.

                              From last month i am fed with the internet services provided by them. I requested them to deactivate the services to me. They asked me firsrt pay the bill then only they will deactivate my account. Immediately i paid the bill and asked them for deactivation. During this stage there is no service to me due to their technical problem. But even several requests they're unable to rectify the issue, just giving me complaint number, they're not deactivating account, sending me the bill for this month also. For these days i am unable to do so many works depends on internet.

                                I have discontinued using ACT Fibernet since few months, and when the customer care people called me, i said i want to discontinue using the service. But i keep getting emails and SMS about the pending due of bill amount.

                                I have shifted to other broadband service recently, and disconnected the WIFI router and cable.
                                Do i still need to pay for the monthly due, since i am not using the service ?

                                I assume that all ACT connections are prepaid, and if we stop paying for the service, the service would be disabled, and we would be disconnected automatically.

                                Here are my details of my ACT connections:

                                I stopped paying for them since few months ago, and also informed to customer care that i would not be paying anymore, since i stopped using ACT service, and shifted to other broadband service.

                                But i don't understand why i am still getting the notifications on email and SMS. Does this mean that if i stop using their service, and stop paying the monthly bill, i need to pay for all the pending amount later in the future ?

                                  I tried it for last 5 days to reconnect with my previous account also try to change my address. but am unable to contact them. also, I got a message that if I want to reconnect with my previous account then I will get free reconnection and with extra 300gb..i try to connect them but its everytime failed.

                                  I tried to connect them because it was urgent but unable to connect.

                                  I want immediate connection, please connect with me and please try to resolve that address issue.

                                    It is unfortunate that the company charges rs.550 as reactivation charges to customers who have been witht he company for the past 2 years or more.

                                    It is even upsetting that the customer service is not even aware of the correct charges for reactivation.in my recent conversation with the act customer care executives, three executives mentioned three different rates for reactivation of fibernet connection that i have been using for the past 2 years. I was out of station for about two months and had requested for temporary deactivation of the services.

                                    On returning, when i raised a request for reactivation, the customer care executive advised that i will be charged rs.150 as reactiviation charges.in a follow-up call, another executive said that the activation charges will be at rs.500. And finally, in the last follow-up call, which resulted in the activation of the service, the customer care executive advised that the charges for reactivation would be rs.550.

                                    When i try to look for the reactivation charges on act webpage, i am unable to find any mention of it. With respect to the internet service offered, i am happy. Bu this issue of reactivation charges is something that i am unable to make sense of.

                                    I would expect that act becomes more transparent regarding the reactivation charges. A nominal charge is understandable; a charge of rs. 550, which is almost the monthly charge for the basic plan (Act swift internet) is ridiculous! I might as well not have the connection disconnected for the duration when i wont have usage!

                                    Request to act to stop these exorbitant charges.

                                      My internet goes down every month for over 4-5 days with no resolution. I have been facing this problem repeatedly. If my internet goes down one more day i need a full refund of my payment. And for the days it didn't not work in the past i need two months extra. My id is[protected].

                                      Inspire of repeatedly calling the company my net issues don't get resolved within 48hours. I call at least 4-5 a day to register my complaint.

                                      I called act 5 times yesterday but no resolution was provided to me. I want a full refund of my money at the earliest otherwise i might take a legal action against the company.
